Missing the Forest for the Trees: UK to Add More Restrictions on Buying Knives Online After Southport Stabbings

The British government is reportedly planning on banning doorstep drop-off deliveries of knives bought online following the mass stabbing at a children’s dance party in Southport by second-generation migrant Axel Rudakubana.

While critics have pointed to multiple failings of authorities to heed warnings about Rudakubana’s radicalisation, the left-wing Labour Party government appears intent on pinning the tragic stabbing spree — which left three young girls dead and several others injured — at the hands of supposed loopholes in purchasing knives online.

According to The Telegraph, online retailers such as Amazon will be prevented from delivering a knife to anyone other than the person who purchased it to provide a further ID check to prove the buyer is above 18. This will come in addition to a two-step verification, in which buyers must provide identification and a ‘selfie’ picture to verify the ID is theirs.

Rudakubana, who was sentenced to 52 years in prison this week over the Southport stabbings, had reportedly skirted the pre-existing checks by using software to disguise his internet address and identity.

The delivery of the two knives he bought while under 18 was reportedly accepted by an adult at his residence, believed to be one of his Rwandan parents.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said that it is a “total disgrace how easy it still is for children to get dangerous weapons online,” adding: “We cannot go on like this. We need much stronger checks – before you buy, before it’s delivered.

Fury as transgender killer is allowed out of prison for surgery to reduce the size of Adam’s apple

transgender killer was allowed out of jail to have surgery to make him look more feminine.

Alan Baker – now known as Alex Stewart – is serving life for the ‘wicked and brutal’ stabbing of a man he met on an online dating site.

But it has now emerged the 36-year-old – who is behind bars at HMP Greenock, Renfrewshire – has had an operation to reduce the size of his Adam’s apple.

Last night, critics demanded to know whether the taxpayer picked up the bill for the work.

Susan Smith, of campaign group For Women Scotland, said: ‘We are disturbed to learn a dangerous prisoner was allowed out to seek unnecessary cosmetic surgery.

‘We doubt that a female murderer would be allowed day release for Botox or a nose-job.

‘How was this funded and at what cost to the taxpayer? At a time when resources are stretched both for prison and health services, this looks like a profligate indulgence of a manipulative man.’

Baker, of Bonhill, Dunbartonshire, was jailed for a minimum of 19 years for the murder of father-of-two John Weir in 2013.

ICE Arrests 460 Illegal Immigrants Accused of Violent Crimes in Less Than 36 Hours

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested close to 500 illegal immigrants accused of violent crimes in a period of 33 hours.

Between midnight on 21 January and 9am on 22 January, ICE arrested 460 illegal immigrants accused of a variety of violent crimes ranging from sexual assault to burglary, robbery and domestic violence.

“Agents arrested nationals from a slew of countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal and Venezuela,” according to a report obtained by Fox News Digital.

“Arrests took place across the U.S. including Illinois, Utah, California, Minnesota, New York, Florida and Maryland.”

Detainees include Jesus Perez, a Mexican arrested in Salt Lake City for aggravated sexual abuse of a child; Jesus Baltazar Mendoza, who was arrested in St Paul for second degree assault of a child; and Colombian Andres Orjuela Parra, who was arrested in San Francisco for sexual assault.

Multiple members of the violent gang MS-13 have also been arrested.

“Right out of the gate it’s public safety threats, those who are in the country illegally that have been convicted, arrested for serious crime,” Tom Homan said, in an interview on Tuesday.

“But let me be clear. There’s not only public safety threats that will be arrested, because in sanctuary cities, we’re not allowed to get that public safety threat in the jail, which means we got to go to the neighborhood and find him.”

It’s being reported the Mexican government is building massive tent cities as it scrambles to respond to President Donald Trump’s new deportation policies.

Go Figure: Walgreens CEO Admits Locking Up Merchandise Makes It Hard To Sell

What genius retail executive mind could have figured this one out – that locking up merchandise in stores actually makes its more difficult for honest, paying customers to get to, and buy what they want?

Walgreens – facing a significant drop in year-over-year earnings – just announced plans to close 450 more stores nationwide, according to Futurism/The Byte. These closures exhibit the broader challenges faced by Walgreens.

Efforts to curb “shrink” — losses from theft or fraud — included increased security measures, such as locking merchandise in containers requiring staff assistance at Walgreens.

However, these measures proved ineffective and counterproductive, frustrating customers.

CEO Tim Wentworth said on the company’s earning’s call: “It is a hand-to-hand combat battle still, unfortunately.”

Disgusting way woke activist destroyed Dunkin’ worker’s life just because he supported Trump

Maine liberal journalist has admitted to falsely accusing a Donald Trump supporter of providing drugs and alcohol to a minor to get him fired from his job.

Chris J. Barry, 56, who goes by the moniker Crash Barry, confessed to making harassing phone calls to right-wing activist Nick Blanchard’s place of work.

The two men appear to have a lengthy feud over their differing political views, including 35-year-old Blanchard’s involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot and his local school board meetings protests.

Barry owned up to the fraudulent calls in a Substack post titled ‘Mea Culpa,’ claiming Blanchard’s celebration of Trump’s inauguration pushed him over the edge.

First, the journalist confessed that when he learned Blanchard was hired as a manager at a local Dunkin’ Donuts, he decided to call to the establishment.

He did not divulge the details of the call but said, ‘According to my source, the owner ran a background check on him and the job offer was subsequently withdrawn.’

Barry then admitted that Blanchard’s posts on Inauguration Day infuriated him so much that he ‘decided to teach the a**hole a lesson.’

‘I wanted to teach the son-of-a-b***h a lesson. Give ‘em a taste of his own medicine, so to speak.’

Supreme Court Ruling: Accepting a Pardon is an “Admission of Guilt!”

A Presidential Pardon does not take effect unless the suspect accepts it. That according to a little known, 1915 ruling from the Supreme Court, once accepted, the pardon serves as an “imputation of guilt,” or what’s more commonly known as an admission. Because accepting the pardon is “essential to it’s validity,” I am demanding the Biden family, Dr. Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, the members of the J6 Committee and everyone else Biden unsurprisingly pardoned declare their acceptance of the pardon publicly. Because, according to the Supreme Court, it would also serve as a declaration of guilt.

Trans activist convicted for torture, attempted murder removed as UK Women’s March speaker after backlash

The UK Women’s March (UKWM) has removed a transgender-identifying male speaker, Sarah Jane Baker, from its lineup after organizers were informed of Baker’s criminal history.

The march, held in London on Saturday, was intended for “anyone who is an ally of women and believes in women’s rights” to march for gender equality. Marches were held in other cities across the country to “focus on advocating for women’s rights” in response to US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

When Baker was first announced to be speaking at the event, there was immediate backlash. Baker has served time in prison for kidnapping and torturing the 19-year-old brother of Baker’s stepmother. Additionally, the convict was handed a life sentence for attempted murder of a fellow inmate and served 30 years in 29 different male prisons.

The event’s organizers claimed they were unaware of the criminal past when they invited Baker to participate.

“There has been a lot of social media traffic about Sarah Jane Baker speaking at the UK Women’s March in London tomorrow,” the organizers said in a statement, according to The Telegraph. “We would like to clarify that after being made aware of Sarah’s criminal background in interpersonal abuse, UKWM and Sarah have mutually agreed that she will stand down as a speaker at the event.

“She will not be speaking at any UK Women’s March events tomorrow,” the statement added. “We want to reaffirm our steadfast commitment to standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, and this decision has been in no way affected by anything other than our stance against abuse, exploitation and violence.”

“This decision was not made lightly, but the safety and well-being of our organisers and participants must always take precedence,” the statement concluded. “We are profoundly grateful to everyone who has offered their support.”

Teen heroes who turned in alleged subway fire killer are blocked from receiving $10K NYPD reward on technicality, families say: ‘Such B.S.’

This makes no cents.

The teen heroes who nabbed subway arson killer Sebastian Zapeta-Calil have been denied the $10,000 reward promised by the NYPD — allegedly because they called the wrong phone number to report it, The Post has learned.

The trio of eagle-eyed high school basketball players — who spotted the firebug on a Queens-bound F train hours after he allegedly burned a woman to death — were told by the reward administrators that they were ineligible for the cash because they called 911 to report their sighting instead of the Crimes Stoppers tip line.

“I think it’s such B.S. that you have to call this exact number. Most people call 911,” the father of one of the boys, Navid, told The Post.

“[Getting the money] is not why they did it, but it would be nice. This was a heinous crime and this man was caught right away because of them.”

Virginia GOP Governor Claims Legalizing Marijuana Sales Would Harm Children And Increase Crime

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) emphasized during his State of the Commonwealth address that he’s not interested in cooperating with lawmakers to legalize marijuana sales in the state, claiming that doing so would hurt children, worsen mental health and increase violent crime.

“Strong communities work to prevent harmful drug use,” the governor said during the speech on Monday.

Use, possession and limited cultivation of cannabis by adults are already legal in Virginia, the result of a Democrat-led proposal approved by lawmakers in 2021. But Republicans, after winning control of the House and governor’s office later that year, subsequently blocked the required reenactment of a regulatory framework for retail sales. Since then, illicit stores have sprung up to meet consumer demand.

Supporters of regulating commercial sales in the state say the move would not create a cannabis market in Virginia but instead regulate the state’s existing illicit market, which some estimates value at nearly $3 billion. But Youngkin has rejected the idea, issuing a veto of a legal sales measure passed by lawmakers after Democrats retook control of the legislature last year.

“Everyone knows where I stand on establishing a retail marijuana market,” Youngkin said in his speech. “Let’s work together on other issues where we can find common ground.”

Woman who stabbed classmate to please Slender Man can be released from psychiatric hospital

A Wisconsin woman who at age 12 stabbed her sixth grade classmate nearly to death to please online horror character Slender Man will be released from a psychiatric hospital, a judge ordered Thursday after a trio of experts testified that she has made considerable progress battling mental illness.

Morgan Geyser has spent nearly seven years at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She has petitioned Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren, who committed her, for release four times since June 2022. She withdrew her first two petitions. Bohren denied her third request this past April, finding she still presented a threat to the public.

Geyser, now 22 years old, filed her latest petition in October. Bohren decided to grant her release after a day-long hearing Thursday, finding that she had maximized her treatment options at the facility and is no longer a safety risk. He ordered the state Department of Health Services to set up a plan to house her in a group home and supervise her for his consideration at a hearing within 60 days.

The judge said that her crime was a “brutal, terrible offense” but Geyser has since grown up and to be truly rehabilitated she must exist as part of society.

“She’s done what she’s supposed to do,” Bohren said. “She appears to have a good attitude.”

Geyser and Anissa Weier were 12 years old in 2014 when they lured their classmate, Payton Leutner, to a Waukesha park after a sleepover. Geyser stabbed Leutner 19 times while Weier egged her on. Leutner barely survived.
