Crypto Casino Founder Richard Kim Arrested After Gambling Away Investor Funds

Richard Kim, the founder of crypto casino Zero Edge, was arrested on Tuesday following allegations that he had gambled away investors’ funds.

According to an FBI complaint filed on Tuesday in the Southern District of New York, Kim “fraudulently induced investors to invest in Zero Edge, a cryptocurrency technology company he founded, and then misappropriated millions of dollars in those investors’ funds.”

The FBI said Kim lost “nearly all” of the $7 million he raised from investors and charged him with securities fraud and wire fraud. According to court records, Kim posted a secured bond of $250,000 and put up $100,000 in “cash or real property” to secure it.

CoinDesk was first to report on the Zero Edge incident in July of last year. In an interview at the time, Kim revealed to CoinDesk that he had gambled away more than $3.67 million of his investors’ funds through a series of high-risk leveraged crypto trades.

“The downfall began with a careless mistake — a phishing site that cost $80k,” Kim said in his own recollection of what went wrong, which he shared with CoinDesk in a written statement that he later published as a public apology. “This triggered my old demons, the need to ‘make it back’ to preserve my reputation.”

According to Kim, he “started down a negative spiral of leverage trading, raising more capital, and hiding the truth.”

After losing most of the $7 million he had raised for Zero Edge, Kim told CoinDesk he reported himself to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s public tip line.

“Part of my rationale in reaching out proactively to the SEC was to say, OK guys, I really f—d up. I lost this money. It was grossly negligent. But I didn’t intend to go run away with this money,” he told CoinDesk in an interview.

According to the FBI complaint, Kim’s previous accounts “misleadingly described where investors’ funds had gone, and why, and omitted to inform investors that certain funds had been transferred to Shuffle.com, the gambling website.”

HHS – a Billy Club Enforcing Allegiance to the Israel Government

Supporters of liberty had much reason for hope due to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. becoming secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This man’s tenacity and eloquence in challenging the coronavirus crackdowns suggested great potential accomplishments for both liberty and health at HHS with him in the lead.

Indeed, there are early signs that HHS under Kennedy’s oversight is seeking to roll back the dangerous to health and liberty extreme vaccine pushing mission the department has pursued in recent decades. But, there is also reason to worry — including news earlier this month of the HHS fast-tracking an experimental bird flu shot — that this roll back will turn out to be quite limited.

One thing surprising people is that Kennedy’s HHS is acting like a police baton to whack American institutions and individuals into submission to the demand that they show allegiance to the Israel government. First, HHS became one of three parts of the US government leading an effort to punish colleges if they fail to stomp out “antisemitism” — defined bizarrely to include criticism of the Israel government — communicated by leadership, employees, or students. Kennedy, in the announcement of this endeavor, even made the extraordinary claim that such targeted free speech, press, and assembly is a manifestation of illness. This is the same sort of “medicalization” of ideas and communication that the Soviet Union employed to suppress dissent.

Then, this week, came news that HHS subsidiary the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has, effective immediately, barred any entity that boycotts Israel from continuing to spend, or receiving any new, NIH grants. Given the importance of NIH grants in medical research, this new demand threatens to shut down much research and upend the lives of many people employed in research projects. All this is done based on a criterion that has nothing to do with the task-relevant qualifications of the grant seekers or the quality of their work. Out with merit. In with kissing up. That does not seem conducive to achieving Kennedy’s often repeated goal to Make America Healthy Again. It also seems a big divergence from the protecting liberty objective many Kennedy supporters hoped he would pursue.

Federal DC prosecutor accuses Wikipedia of spreading propaganda and disinformation to Americans

Interim United States attorney for Washington, D.C., Ed Martin, on Thursday sent a letter to the parent company of Wikipedia, accusing it of possibly violating its nonprofit obligations by allowing editors to publish disinformation aimed at the American people.

Martin, an ally of President Donald Trump, accused Wikimedia of engaging in activities that negatively impact the neutrality of the online project.

The Wikipedia website was founded in 2000 to “create and distribute a free encyclopedia of the highest possible quality to every single person on the planet in their own language,” according to one of the company’s co-founders.

“Masking propaganda that influences public opinion under the guise of providing informational material is antithetical to Wikimedia’s ‘educational’ mission,” Martin wrote in a four-page letter. He also accused it of “allowing foreign actors to manipulate information and spread propaganda to the American public.”

The letter did not specify what foreign actors were manipulating information on Wikipedia, and did not give examples of alleged propaganda, but Martin claimed Wikimedia is directed by a board “that is composed primarily of foreign nationals,” according to the Free Press

FBI Arrests Democrat New Mexico Judge and Wife for Harboring Illegal Tren de Aragua Gang Member in Their Home

The FBI has arrested former New Mexico Magistrate Judge Juan Cano and his wife Nancy Cano for allegedly harboring an illegal alien with suspected ties to Tren de Aragua, a notorious Venezuelan gang known for trafficking, extortion, and violence.

The arrest comes just weeks after Cano resigned from his judicial post following a dramatic federal raid at his Doña Ana County residence, where agents apprehended Cristhian Ortega Lopez, an illegal immigrant now charged with unlawful firearm possession and gang affiliation.

The Gateway Pundit was one of the first outlets to report that longtime Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano — a Democrat and former police officer — abruptly resigned after federal agents arrested an alleged member of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang at a residence he owns.

The bombshell resignation letter, dated March 3, came just days after federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations raided a property tied to Cano and his wife, Nancy, arresting 23-year-old Cristhian Ortega-Lopez on federal gun charges, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

Katie Hobbs’ Arizona Agriculture Employee ARRESTED for Alleged Human Smuggling of Illegal Aliens

In yet another stunning failure of leadership from Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, a now-former employee of the Arizona Department of Agriculture (AZDA) has been arrested at the southern border for alleged human smuggling of illegal aliens — a scandal that now threatens to sink Hobbs’ controversial nominee to lead the agency.

Joshua Castro, who served as a produce inspector for the AZDA, is facing both felony and misdemeanor federal charges after Border Patrol agents caught him allegedly transporting illegal aliens across the U.S. border earlier this month, KOLD reported.

According to a federal complaint filed by the U.S. District Attorney of Arizona, Castro was first spotted on April 9 speeding away from a known smuggling route near Nogales.

Border agents later caught up to him after witnessing the same vehicle ferrying two illegal aliens — Mexican nationals who admitted to paying between $7,600 and $12,000 each to be smuggled into the United States.

According to the news outlet, Castro was wearing his state-issued uniform during the incident, despite being off-duty.

FBI arrests Wisconsin judge on charges of obstructing immigrant arrest

FBI Director Kash Patel said Friday that the bureau had arrested a Milwaukee judge and charged her with obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week — the first known instance of the Justice Department prosecuting a local official for allegedly interfering with immigration enforcement since President Donald Trump returned to office.

Patel announced the arrest of Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan in a post on the social media platform X, which he deleted moments after posting. The postaccused Dugan of “intentionally misdirecting” federal agents who arrived at the courthouse to detain an immigrant who was set to appear before her in an unrelated proceeding.

“Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since,” Patel wrote. “But the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public.”

Court records surrounding Dugan’s arrest were not immediately available Friday morning. The FBI declined to comment on why Patel had deleted his post announcing Dugan’s arrest.

Letitia James Lawyered Up with Hunter Biden’s Defense Attorney After Trump Official Drops Bombshell Allegations of Mortgage Fraud — Admits to “Mistakenly” Claiming Virginia Home as Primary Residence

New York Attorney General Letitia James has hired Democrat defense attorney Abbe Lowell in a last-ditch effort to spin away serious fraud allegations tied to her real estate dealings.

Lowell, a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP, is known as a high-profile attorney for embattled political figures, having represented Democrats such as Hunter Biden, John Edwards, and even Bill Clinton during his impeachment trial.

According to the Times Union, he was reportedly hired by the Office of the New York State Attorney General, not personally by Letitia James, just days after Trump-appointed officials filed a formal criminal referral to the DOJ.

The referral, spearheaded by U.S. Federal Housing Director William Pulte, accuses James of participating in suspicious real estate and mortgage transactions stretching back decades.

The Gateway Pundit and the White Collar Fraud previously reported back in early March that James has been implicated in multiple instances of mortgage fraud, with the most damning claims centered on her Brooklyn and Virginia properties.

‘Financial and Ethical Misconduct’ Allegations Against Davos Founder Klaus Schwab Made Public

Manipulating research, using company funds to pay for private, in-room massages, asking junior staff to withdraw thousands of dollars for personal use, demanding senior management deliver a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.

These are just some of the lurid allegations that pushed the World Economic Forum (WEF) to launch an investigation into its now departed founder, Klaus Schwab, after anonymous whistleblowers aired their concerns about the German octogenarian.

The assertions – reportedly sent last week in a letter to the WEF, which organises the annual elite gathering of globalist devotees at Davos in Switzerland – accuse Schwab and his wife, Hilde, of financial and ethical misconduct.

The family has vehemently denied each and every accusation even as he resigned as the WEF chairman, as Breitbart News reported

The Guardian set out the course of events around the controversy:

The accusations prompted Schwab’s resignation as the WEF executive chair on Monday after its board of high-profile trustees – which includes the BlackRock chief, Larry Fink; the IMF managing director, Kristalina Georgieva; the former US vice-president Al Gore and cellist Yo-Yo Ma – held an emergency meeting to look into the claims on Sunday.

Schwab, 87, is said to have argued against the board’s plan for an investigation, before he resigned. The founder had indicated he intended to step down in early April, but the whistleblower letter brought forward his exit.

[…]

The whistleblower letter included a range of claims against the Schwab family, according to the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. They include an allegation that Schwab used WEF funds to pay for private, in-room massages at hotels, asked staff to promote him for a Nobel peace prize, and instructed junior employees to withdraw thousands of dollars from ATMs on his behalf.

The Guardian report noted allegations that academic research was also tampered with, as “The letter also accused Schwab of manipulating the WEF global competitiveness report in order to curry favour with certain governments.

Here Are Letitia James’s Two Big Lies in Her Building Registration that Appear to Defraud NYC — Serious Offense with Significant Legal and Financial Consequences

In New York City, property owners are legally required to register all details of their residential buildings each year with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).

The goal is to ensure transparency and accountability among building owners, city agencies, and tenants.

Property registration includes providing accurate information about the building’s ownership and its physical characteristics.

Two conspicuous characteristics of any residential building are the number of stories and the number of units. New York State Attorney General Letitia James has lied about them both.

Registration ensures that HPD and other city agencies can quickly contact responsible parties in the event of emergencies, housing code violations, or tenant complaints. Failing to register – or submitting false information – is illegal. False information can invalidate the registration and result in civil penalties.

On Letitia James’s registration page of her apartment building on HPD, she listed the property at 296 Lafayette Blvd in Brooklyn as having only three stories. In fact, it has four.

In New York City, a building with a basement apartment and three additional floors above it is considered a four-story building for the purposes of HPD registration.

Crooked County Attorney in Minnesota Who Let Democrat State Worker Walk After Keying Teslas Now Charges a Young Woman for Similar Crime

A member of the Tim Walz administration keyed several Tesla vehicles and caused upwards of $20,000 in damages. The Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty let him walk.

Now a young woman with no criminal record has been accused of keying her co-worker’s car and she apparently will be charged.

Is there a better example of selective justice? Why does the Tim Walz associate get a free pass, but the young woman with no political connections gets charged?

The Mankato Free Press reported:

But one case is striking for the argument Moriarty has made around Adams being a first-time offender.

A 19-year-old Robbinsdale woman with no criminal record was charged with first-degree felony property damage on Monday after she allegedly keyed her coworker’s car at the White Castle in Brooklyn Park. The damage to the car was estimated at $7,000. She is due to make her first court appearance in two weeks.

When asked how she could balance that charging decision with the decision to not charge Adams, Moriarty didn’t directly respond. She said her office’s main goal is to hold the person accountable for keying the car, get restitution to the people affected, and avoid felony convictions when possible, because it can waylay someone’s life. She said all of that will happen in Adams’ case, and if he fails to complete the diversion program criminal charges will be filed.

‘Should we have treated this gentleman differently because it’s a political issue?’ Moriarty asked. ‘We made this decision because it is in the best interest of public safety.’

The message being sent here is loud and clear.
