Media Working Overtime to Distort the Politics of Alleged Arsonist Who Burned Pennsylvania Governor’s Mansion

Cody Balmer, the suspect who allegedly burned the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion, while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were in it, is now known to be a far left socialist and BLM supporter.

That is not how the media is reporting on him.

A memo must have gone out because at least two liberal media outlets are emphasizing the fact that Balmer was ‘critical of the Democrats.’

What might a person infer from that last part? That he’s a right winger? Is that why they media is doing this? Or are they trying to imply that Democrats are dealing with threats just like Republicans? Either way, it’s completely dishonest.

See this report from ABC News (emphasis is ours):

Arson at Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s residence was ‘domestic terrorism’: Fire chief

Cody Balmer, who is suspected of starting a fire on Sunday at Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s residence, was denied bail at his arraignment on Monday.

Balmer — a mechanic who had previously expressed disdain for Democrats on social media — was arrested in connection with the fire early Sunday, sources familiar with the suspected arsonist told ABC News.

Way down at the bottom of the article is this part:

“The attacker was not a fan of Trump I understand just from what I’ve read and from what I’ve been told,” said Trump, adding that he was not informed of the motive in the incident. “The attacker basically wasn’t a fan of anybody’s. Probably just a whack job. And certainly a thing like that cannot be allowed to happen.”

Sources familiar with Balmer said his public grievances with the Democratic party were primarily related to financial issues.

Absolutely nowhere does the article describe the suspect as left or far left.

Over at CNN, same thing. This guy expressed disdain for Democrats.

DOJ charges 3 in connection with domestic terrorism attacks targeting Tesla

The Department of Justice has announced that it has filed charges against three suspects for “domestic terrorism” attacks targeting Tesla. The charges come after there have been a slew of violent attacks targeting the company amid left-wing backlash against Elon Musk for working with the Trump administration.

According to a press release, Attorney General Pam Bondi said, “The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”

One defendant “was arrested after throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership located in Salem, Oregon,” the release said. “Another was arrested in Loveland, Colorado after attempting to light Teslas on fire with Molotov cocktails,” it adds, later saying, “a third defendant wrote profane messages against President Trump around Tesla charging stations before lighting the charging stations on fire with Molotov cocktails” in South Carolina.

Each is facing up to 20 years in prison and a minimum of five years.

According to Fox News, the suspect in Salem, Oregon is Adam Matthew Lansky, 41, who was arrested and charged after allegedly shooting up a Tesla dealership in Salem as well as throwing Molotov cocktails that “struck a dealership building and several vehicles.”

In the case of Charleston, South Carolina, the defendant is Daniel Clarke-Pounder, 24, who was arrested and charged in connection to setting fire to Tesla charging stations. He reportedly ended up lighting himself on fire as well. Clarke-Pounder was granted bond on Monday while in federal court, according to ABC4 News

AG Bondi Declares “Swarm Of Violent Attacks” On Tesla As Domestic Terrorism

US Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement overnight, calling the “violent attacks” on Tesla showrooms, service centers, Supercharger networks, and vehicles “nothing short of domestic terrorism.”

“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charges with five-year mandatory minimum sentences,” Bondi stated in a press release.

She continued: “We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”

The latest domestic terrorism attack on Tesla occurred at a service center in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning. Below, we provide readers with dramatic footage (previous post), along with images of the crime scene—featuring one key indication suggesting far-left groups were behind the arson attack.

Trans Tesla vandal — who allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at cars — lives with mom and calls herself ‘baby’: sources

A 42-year-old transgender woman who allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at vehicles and spray-painted “Nazi cars” at a Colorado Tesla dealership lives with her mother due to “emotional problems” and calls herself “baby” online.

Lucy Grace Nelson, also known as Justin Thomas Nelson, is accused of hurling incendiary devices at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Northern Colorado, and vandalizing the business and vehicles on multiple occasions with graffiti “offensive and hateful in nature,” police said.

In one incident, the suspect allegedly took aim at Tesla CEO Elon Musk — who has previously been accused of antisemitism — scrawling “f—k Musk” with red paint on the front windows of the establishment and in another, sprayed “Nazi” on a company sign.

Nelson was arrested on February 24 upon returning to the Tesla dealership, allegedly in possession of additional incendiary devices and “materials attributed to vandalism,” police said at the time.

Fiery But Peaceful: MSNBC Describes Violent Attacks On Tesla Dealerships As ‘Protests’

MSNBC had its own ‘fiery but peaceful’ moment when anchors claimed that violent attacks on Tesla facilities are perfectly legal ‘protests.’

Attackers have put staff in danger and even set fire to Tesla dealerships and charging stations, but the MSNBC hosts were visibly annoyed that President Trump agreed the actions could constitute domestic terrorism.

One of them whined “you have this post claiming that protests at Tesla dealerships are illegal.”

She added that Trump “said today he would label violence against dealerships as domestic terrorism… So just to be clear, you protest a private company, you are labeled by this administration a domestic terrorist.”

Elon Musk Reveals The Big-Name Democratic Donors Funding Attacks on Tesla Stores

Elon Musk has revealed the big-name Democrat donors behind the protests at Tesla stores.

Posting on the X platform that he owns, Musk said that he believes five groups are behind the protests, many of which have resorted to violence.

However, these groups are all funded by ActBlue, the troubled Democratic Party fundraising organization backed by liberal billionaire donors including George Soros and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman.

Musk explained:

An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.

ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix.

ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations.

This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel.

The Tesla CEO asked followers to share any additional information with him in the post’s replies.

Follow the Science? 95% of California’s Wildfires Are Started by PEOPLE, Not Global Warming!

California, the bluest of blue states, is being blown apart by wildfires. You’ve seen the news and watched the footage; the devastation is almost unimaginable. Los Angeles is literally going up in smoke.

Gonna take quite a few “carbon offsets” to mitigate all that burning, eh?

It’s also created a vexing problem for Left Coast liberals, California politicians (again: liberals), and the mainstream media (again once more: liberals). After all, when a calamity strikes, someone’s gotta take the blame.

And in California, there just aren’t any Republicans around anymore: No one in the GOP is in a position of authority. California is a one-party state.

So who do they blame?

If only Inauguration Day had come a month earlier! Then, Gov. Newsom could’ve at least blamed Trump for dragging his feet. Maybe he could’ve even pulled a “Katrina” and blamed everything on the chief executive, washing his hands of the whole mess!

But with Biden in charge (at least, on paper) the Democrats don’t have anyone to point fingers at. And if no single human can be blamed, what do you do?

Answer: You blame Global Warming.

(Which, of course, allows you to ALSO blame Republicans, Trump, capitalism, and the free market — liberal boogeymen one and all.)

At breakneck speed, the mainstream media hopped aboard the Global Warming bandwagon. Here are just a few of the headlines:

Time Magazine: L.A. Fires Show the Reality of Living in a World with 1.5˚C of Warming

New York Times: ‘We’re in a New Era’: How Climate Change Is Supercharging Disasters

ABC News: This Is How Climate Change Contributes to the California Wildfires

LA Times: Intensifying Climate ‘Whiplash’ Set the Stage for Devastating California Fires

New York Times: Scientists Say Musk Wrongly Downplays Climate Role in L.A. Fires

Bloomberg: Climate Change Risks Cracking California’s Insurance Market Wide Open

Sacramento Bee: It Isn’t Lack of Water or DEI Making LA’s Wildfires Worse. Experts Say It’s Climate Change

Associated Press: Climate Change Contributed to a Week of Wild Weather That Upended Life in the US

The Guardian: How the Climate Crisis Fuels Devastating Wildfires: ‘We Have Tweaked Nature and Pissed It Off’

Washington Post: The Los Angeles Fires Won’t Affect Climate Denial. They Should.

Keep in mind, all of these headlines are just a few days old! The media is working overtime to gaslight Americans. (And I’m pretty sure gaslighting folks during a wildfire is a really bad idea.)

The irony is that the Democratic Party has long claimed to be voice of “science.” Unlike those unenlightened, knuckle-dragging Republicans, the liberals are the ones who fearlessly “follow the science,” bravely going wherever it leads.

Suspect arrested with ‘flamethrower’ near LA Fire is an illegal immigrant: sources

The homeless man tackled and zip-tied by onlookers who say he was trying to start fires with a blowtorch near a Los Angeles wildfire is an illegal immigrant who will likely be protected by California’s sanctuary city status, according to sources.

The suspect is Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, a Mexican national who is in the United States illegally, sources told The Post.

He was chased and taken down by residents of Woodland Hills after they allegedly saw him torching old Christmas trees and debris on fire with what one resident described as a “flamethrower” soon after the massive wildfire began Thursday.

The suspect is being held on a felony probation violation, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said, without detailing his previous conviction.

Detectives are still investigating it as possible arson, but LAPD Assistant Chief Dominic Choi said Friday that there was not immediately enough evidence for that charge.

ICE placed a detainer request on him three days ago, but the federal agency does not expect it to be honored due to California’s sanctuary state law, sources said.

DEVELOPING: ATF Arson Investigators Descend on Hiking Trail at The Summit of Pacific Palisades

ATF arson investigators descended along a hiking trail at The Summit of the Pacific Palisades on Monday nearly one week after the fires erupted.

“Two prongs, one team will analyze the scene, including damage & burn patterns, while another will gather surveillance video, digital evidence, etc,” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said.

The Pacific Palisades fire erupted last Tuesday morning.

LAX video journalist “Airline Videos” captured the moment the Pacific Palisades fire broke out on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday morning around 10:30, LAX airport streamer Kevin noticed a plume of smoke shortly before a United Airlines flight landed.

“Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Not something we wanna see here in Southern California. A fire has now broke out. That is looking like Encino. Uh oh. Not what we wanna see here in Southern California. A fire has now broke out there in the hills. I believe that’s looking toward possibly Bel Air, Encino,” Livestreamer Kevin said Tuesday morning.

“This was the concern for many with these high winds and as dry as they are. Weather watch in full effect,” Kevin said referring to the gusty Santa Ana winds that reached over 80 miles per hour on Tuesday.

“With these high winds that fire can spread really quickly,” Kevin said as he panned over to the plume of smoke in the distance. “There are a lot of expensive homes up there in the hills.”

Who Is Gloria Lynn Mandich? The Accused Arsonist Behind California’s Freddy Fire

California continues to battle devastating wildfires, with over 130,000 residents displaced and numerous state parks closed. Amid this ongoing crisis, law enforcement has arrested 60-year-old Gloria Lynn Mandich for felony arson. She is accused of starting the Freddy Fire, a brush fire near Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) close to the Ventura County line.

The Freddy Fire broke out on January 8 near Leo Carrillo State Beach, a popular coastal destination. The fire ignited around 12:40 p.m., burning approximately three acres before being brought under control. Firefighters from Los Angeles and Ventura counties collaborated to extinguish the blaze, preventing further spread. Initially, the Freddy Fire was believed to be a spot fire caused by embers from the much larger Palisades Fire. However, investigators soon linked it to Mandich, leading to her arrest by California State Parks officers.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Mandich faces two serious felony charges filed by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office: arson during a state of emergency and recklessly causing a forest fire. She pleaded not guilty during her arraignment and is currently held in Ventura County’s Todd Road Jail with bail set at $20,000. If released, she will be subject to strict conditions, including a ban on possessing matches, lighters, or cigarettes, and compliance with searches for these items. Her next court appearance is scheduled for January 22.

California’s Wildfire Challenges

Mandich’s arrest is the second related to arson during the current wildfire season. The Palisades Fire, a massive blaze consuming nearly 20,000 acres, has forced widespread evacuations and prompted the closure of key state parks, including Topanga State Park and Malibu Creek State Park. Both the Freddy Fire and the Palisades Fire erupted during a red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service. The warning signaled extreme fire danger due to dry vegetation and strong Santa Ana winds. While the winds have since subsided, officials remain cautious, noting that small fires can escalate rapidly under current conditions.
