An investigation is underway after an individual found 70 piles of cremated human remains outside of Searchlight, Nevada, roughly 50 miles south of Las Vegas.
The piles of ashes were found on the Bureau of Land Management land on a dirt road, according to 8 News Now in Las Vegas. The news outlet obtained photos showing small gray piles of ashes spread on the ground.
BLM officials told the Associated Press that it was investigating the discovery of the ashes with Las Vegas police.
A late Tennessee sheriff who inspired a Hollywood movie about a law enforcement officer who took on organized crime killed his wife in 1967 and led people to believe she was murdered by his enemies, authorities in Tennessee said Friday.
The finding will likely shock many who grew up as Buford Pusser fans and watched the 1973 “Walking Tall” movie that immortalized him as a tough but fair sheriff with zero tolerance for crime, authorities said.
There is enough evidence that if then-McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser were alive today, prosecutors would present an indictment to the grand jury for the murder of Pauline Mullins Pusser, said Mark Davidson, the district attorney for Tennessee’s 25th judicial district.
Investigators also uncovered signs she suffered from domestic violence.
Prosecutors worked with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which began reexamining decades-old files on Pauline’s death in 2022 as part of its regular review of cold cases, agency director David Rausch said.
Agents found inconsistencies between Buford Pusser’s version of events and the physical evidence, received a tip about a potential murder weapon and exhumed Pauline’s body for an autopsy.
Authorities acknowledged the news may shock many who grew up as Buford Pusser’s fans and watched the 1973 “Walking Tall” movie he inspired or the 2004 remake.
Many officers joined law enforcement because of his story, Davidson said.
The sheriff died in a car crash seven years after his wife’s death.
“This case is not about tearing down a legend. It is about giving dignity and closure to Pauline and her family and ensuring that the truth is not buried with time,” Davidson said at a news conference streamed on Facebook.
On Wednesday, two young children were murdered and more than a dozen others injured when a mentally ill man cosplaying as a woman opened fire during morning Mass at a Catholic elementary school. The tragedy has sparked national conversation — but really, two different conversations.
On the right, the focus is on why the shooter committed such a heinous act. The shooter, Robert Westman (later legally known as Robin) was deeply disturbed, believed he was a female, and had those delusions affirmed by those closest to him. Notably, his mother signed off on his legal name change in 2020 because he was still a minor, as reported by the New York Post. A manifesto purportedly from Westman reveals anti-Trump and anti-Catholic animus, intertwined with other extremist ideologies.
The right recognizes the true root cause of this tragedy. This wasn’t about “gun violence.” It was about a mentally ill leftist, propped up by an ideology that tells men they can become women, acting out his hatred toward Trump and Christians.
The left, predictably, has taken the opposite approach. For them, it doesn’t matter that the shooter was delusional about his gender, or that his anti-Catholic and anti-Trump bigotry were central to his motive. None of the why matters — only that a gun was involved. And because a gun was involved, they insist, the gun must be the problem. This reflexive blame-shifting reveals the left’s true motive in covering the story: exploitation. They’re not interested in stopping violence at its roots, only in exploiting a tragedy to advance their political goals.
And how do we know this to be true?
You won’t hear it from the corporate media, but former Vice President Kamala Harris has already had a longer Secret Service detail than other former vice presidents. President Donald Trump ended that on Friday before she could leech more American taxpayer dollars on a multi-city book tour to talk about her failed presidential campaign.
Former vice presidents are entitled to six months of Secret Service protection after they leave office. For Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, that ended July 21 just like hers was supposed to. But former President Joe Biden (or an autopen) quietly signed an order extending Harris’ detail to 18 months, for reasons unknown.
“You are hereby authorized to discontinue any security-related procedures previously authorized by Executive Memorandum, beyond those required by law, for the following individual, effective September 1, 2025: Former Vice President Kamala D. Harris,” Trump’s directive states.
Trump reestablished the statutory norm under the Former Vice Presidents Act of 2008, more than a month after her detail should have stopped, but Democrats and their accomplices in the propaganda press want Americans to believe it was done out of vengeance.
“This is another act of revenge following a long list of political retaliation in the form of firings, the revoking of security clearances and more,” communist Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass told CNN. “This puts the former Vice President in danger and I look forward to working with the Governor to make sure Vice President Harris is safe in Los Angeles.”
Clearly no more danger than former vice presidents Mike Pence, Dick Cheney, or, yes, even Joe Biden were in after their terms expired. She, like them, will no longer receive 24/7 personal security, security at her home, or threat analysis for online threats from the Secret Service.
But according to one MSNBC commentator, “It is retributive,” and Trump made the move “just because he doesn’t like Vice President Kamala Harris.”
“It speaks to how Donald Trump operates. He use the government to deal with his own personal animosity with people,” the commentator said.
But the thrust of Trump’s move is that Harris is not some select, special former vice president. And although CNN is worried “the cost of mounting any similar level of protection privately would be expensive, possibly going into the millions of dollars annually,” perhaps she can hire private security, if she needs it, like everyone else in her position has the opportunity to do — paid for by book proceeds or her substantial net worth, not the American people.
It’s truly as if the news media wish for more transgender psychotics to commit mass murders before offing themselves. Why else would they look at what happened in Minneapolis this week and continue insisting there’s no correlation at all between a potentially violent mental break and the irrational belief that a man can become a woman?
After a gunman identified as 23-year-old Robin Westman — originally Robert before his mother apparently allowed him to legally change his name at 17 — shot up a Catholic school’s church in Minneapolis on Wednesday, the media got to work, both treating the suspected killer as if his gender dysphoria was entirely incidental and belittling anyone who suggested otherwise.
The New York Times captured that dynamic best under the headline, “Minneapolis Suspect Knew Her Target, but Motive Is a Mystery.” The “her” was a deliberate word choice for a person we’re still learning about a day later. And what we did learn was that, according to the New York Post, Westman deeply regretted his attempts to become female, writing in a journal, “I only keep [the long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself.”
But the Times wants the public to believe there’s nothing significant about being a shooter who tried swapping his gender, so — it’s ma’am!
Throughout the article, the Times refers to Westman as “she” and “her” and then, nine paragraphs in, attacks the people who dared notice that this isn’t the first, second, or third time in recent years where a “transgender” person has committed mass violence. “On social media,” the article said, “some conservative activists have seized on the shooter’s gender identity to broadly portray transgender people as violent or mentally ill.”
Or, more accurately, people who have a memory recalled that similar tragic episodes were carried out by individuals identified as being deep into pronoun play and gender bending ideologies. That includes: 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno in February of last year (also went by “Jeffrey Escalante”); 17-year-old Dylan Jesse Butler the month prior (suspected gender queer activist); 28-year-old Audrey Elizabeth Hale in March 2023 (used male pronouns); 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich in November 2022 (claimed to be “nonbinary”); 16-year-old Maya “Alec” McKinney in May 2019 (identified as male); and 26-year-old Snochia Moseley (suspected to be transgender).
Transgenderism is not a civil rights movement; it’s a social engineering experiment. The LGBT movement is not a struggle for equal rights; it’s a covert war for political control. The agenda of the people involved in the spheres of trans-activism are radical zealots hellbent on the destruction of their enemies by any means necessary – And if you believe in logic, objective reality, biological science and moral imperative, then you are one of their enemies.
A prime strategy of the trans movement is the indoctrination of our children. They rarely have any children of their own and in order to perpetuate their numbers they must groom future generations to their cause. And, it has become clear that if they can’t indoctrinate our kids, they are perfectly willing to murder our kids.
There are a lot of “watchers on the wall” in the alternative media that have been fighting for decades against the adoption of woke (or politically correct) narratives in America and I think many of us have grown tired of playing games of logic and reason. Many conservatives and libertarians today put endless stock into the power of debate, but after fighting this fight for so long you start to realize that debate rarely changes the minds of zealots.
We can present an airtight case for our ideals to the public and hope for the best, and I think we have been successful in many regards. However, I would suggest that we are not changing people’s views so much as we are informing people who simply weren’t paying attention until now.
We are adding more and more of the fence-sitters to our side, but we are doing very little to solve the root problem. Some conflicts cannot be dealt with using reason. In the end, there is something to be said for brutality over debate.
For the past couple years I have been predicting that the political left was going to take a nose dive (globally) in terms of government influence, but I also predicted that they would grow increasingly unstable and revert to targeted violence over their loss of power. In my article from January titled “The Monkey Wrench Sabotage Of America Begs For An Authoritarian Response”, I noted:
“Leftists throughout modern history have a habit of engaging in destabilization efforts when they don’t get what they want. They view their motivations as sacrosanct and beyond criticism, be it “saving democracy” or “saving the planet” or “taking down capitalists and colonists”.
In every case where the political left had influence over social conditions and then lost that power, they revert to directed exponential disruption and violence from riots to assassination. They claim to care about the right of the majority to have their voices heard, but in reality they don’t care at all. When the majority goes against the leftist narrative, leftists go rogue…”
Damn, I hate being right about this stuff but the evidence speaks for itself. The thing about the political left is that they are cowards at their core. Their relationship with warfare is more subversive, avoiding a stand-up confrontation whenever possible and only targeting people who can’t defend themselves.
The latest attack involves a leftist transgender activist named “Robin Westman” (originally Robert Westman, a man pretending to be a woman) murdering two children and injuring 17 others at a Catholic school and church in Minneapolis, then killing himself.
President Trump has made it clear on multiple occasions that he is not a fan of wind as a power source. It’s not reliable and it is an affront to the natural beauty of the country.
Trump recently cancelled a major wind project in Idaho that was approved by Biden. Now, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has pulled almost $700 million in funding for twelve planned offshore wind projects.
Green energy activists on the left are sure to lose their minds over this.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Friday that $679 million in federal funding has been withdrawn for 12 “doomed” offshore wind projects – including three in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The scrapped funding includes $10.5 million for Connecticut’s Bridgeport Port Authority Operations and Maintenance Wind Port project, $20.5 million for New Jersey’s Wind Port at Paulsboro and $48 million for Staten Island’s Arthur Kill Terminal.
The Trump administration plans to spend the withdrawn funds on “real infrastructure” and “restoring American maritime dominance.”
“Wasteful, wind projects are using resources that could otherwise go towards revitalizing America’s maritime industry,” Duffy said in a statement…
“Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg bent over backwards to use transportation dollars for their Green New Scam agenda while ignoring the dire needs of our shipbuilding industry,” Duffy said. “Thanks to President Trump, we are prioritizing real infrastructure improvements over fantasy wind projects.”
The Department of State denied visas to Palestinian leaders to attend the U.N. General Assembly in New York City next month and will revoke visas that were previously granted to those individuals.
A statement from a State Department spokesperson said that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is both denying and revoking visas from individuals who belong to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA) ahead of the U.N. meeting, which will be held between Sept. 9 and 28.
“It is in our national security interests to hold the PLO and PA accountable for not complying with their commitments, and for undermining the prospects for peace,” the statement reads.
The department said that before either “can be considered partners for peace, they must consistently repudiate terrorism,” and that includes the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas that left more than 1,200 people dead and more than 250 hostages being taken into Gaza.
“The PA must also end its attempts to bypass negotiations through international lawfare campaigns” such as appealing to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), along with attempts to create the recognition of a Palestinian state, the statement added.
The State Department said those actions have “materially contributed to Hamas’s refusal to release its hostages, and to the breakdown of the Gaza ceasefire talks.”
The Food and Drug Administration announced on Aug. 28 a new recall of cocktail shrimp sold in Walmart stores across 27 states for potential contamination due to being prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions where they may have become contaminated with cesium-137 (Cs-137).
Seattle-based AquaStar (USA) Corp is recalling approximately 26,460 6-ounce packages of cocktail shrimp, imported from Indonesia, and sold between July 31 and Aug. 16.
The states in which they have been sold are Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin,
A day earlier, on Aug. 27, the FDA issued a similar recall warning for frozen cooked shrimp sold across 17 states. In that instance, the importer, Aquastar, had recalled approximately 18,000 bags (net weight 2 pounds) of Kroger Mercado Cooked Medium Peeled Tail-Off Shrimp.
Both recalls are an expansion of recent recalls by Walmart and other distributors.
Cs-137 is a man-made radioisotope of the extremely reactive metal cesium, the FDA said.
Hawkish Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has said “it’s time for Hezbollah to go” – and he’s willing to use military force to do it.
“They are trained by Iran, they are loyal to Iran, and we’re looking for military power in Lebanon to be loyal to the Lebanese people and a good partner to the region,” Graham, who is the Chair of the Senate Budget Committee, said at a press conference in Tel Aviv.
He made the comments soon after meeting with both Lebanese and Israeli officials. The Trump administration has been heavily pressuring the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah, even after it was greatly weakened after Israel took out its top leadership, including the slain longtime Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, last year.
Graham declared: “If we cannot reach a peaceful disarmament solution for Hezbollah, then we need to look at Plan B. Plan B is disarming Hezbollah by military force.”
“Also, there is a decision made to eliminate UNIFIL as a U.N. peace keeping organization in the next 15 months. Now that presents an opportunity for the Lebanese Armed Forces to replace a very ineffective UNIFIL and prove to not only the Lebanese people, but Israel and others, that Lebanon has a capability it did not possess before,” the US senator went on to say.
He didn’t specify whether he envisions that American troops could be involved in such a military intervention – and he likely has foremost in his mind the Israelis and Lebanese taking action – but he’s one who has never shied away from using American soldiers in overseas conflicts.
US envoy to the region Tom Barrack had led the American delegation that visited Beirut this week, and there was plenty of controversy unleashed by the visit, and specifically when he chastised the Lebanese over being ‘civilized’ and not ‘animalistic’…
