Pfizer Rakes in Billions on COVID-19 Vaccine Sales, Highest Revenue in Company’s History

Vaccine maker Pfizer has reported record revenues for 2022, with its COVID-19 products accounting for a large chunk of the sales even as the company is facing backlash for claiming to “mutate” viruses, and a growing number of doctors are turning away from boosters.

Full-year revenues for 2022 came in at $100.3 billion, which is an “all-time high” for the multinational corporation, according to the earnings release by Pfizer on Jan. 31. This is the first time the company has seen annual sales in excess of $100 billion, with revenues reflecting 30 percent operational growth. Excluding contributions from COVID-19 products, Comirnaty vaccine and Paxlovid antiviral, revenues only grew by 2 percent operationally. The two products combined generated over $56 billion in sales for the company.

The year “2022 was a record-breaking year for Pfizer, not only in terms of revenue and earnings per share, which were the highest in our long history,” said Dr. Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer.

“As we turn to 2023, we expect to once again set records, with potentially the largest number of new product and indication launches that we’ve ever had in such a short period of time.”

Sales of Comirnaty and Paxlovid are expected to hit their lowest levels in 2023 before getting back to growth next year “due to significant government supply on hand” at the beginning of this year, the company said.

Pfizer calculates Comirnaty sales to decline by 64 percent, to $13.5 billion this year, and Paxlovid sales to drop 58 percent, to $8 billion.

It’ll Cost You $95 to Hear Bernie Sanders Tell You Why Capitalism is Bad

Riding in on his white horse to save the left from itself — yet again! — is perma-candidate Bernie Sanders and his new, super-preachy book, entitled, “It’s OK to Be Angry About Capitalism.” The list price of the book is $28, and here’s what’s in store for those who are foolish enough to shell out their hard-earned cash to hear a pseudo-socialist, octogenarian millionaire pontificate on why capitalism is bad:

Reflecting on our turbulent times, Senator Bernie Sanders takes on the billionaire class and speaks blunt truths about our country’s failure to address the destructive nature of a system that is fueled by uncontrolled greed and rigidly committed to prioritizing corporate profits over the needs of ordinary Americans.

But wait, there’s more. Bernie is taking his act on the road! For a mere $95, you can hear Bernie Sanders, who’s never created a job in his life and has amassed a fortune on a government salary, preach to you about the evils of America — live and in person!

Where to start with all of this nonsense? First off, there’s the hilarity that Bernie Sanders, an extremely wealthy man who has exploited the system to his own great personal benefit, is angry at capitalism. He is no such thing, he celebrates it every day. He has managed to “capitalize” on hating the successful in our society and has monetized the misery of those who look to him for guidance.

Astronomer Have Discovered A Mysterious Object, Which Is 570 Billion Times Brighter Than The Sun

Billions of light years away, there is a giant ball of hot gas that is brighter than hundreds of billions of suns. It is hard to imagine something so bright. So what is it? Astronomers are not really sure, but they have a couple theories.

They think it may be a very rare type of supernova — called a magnetar — but one so powerful that it pushes the energy limits of physics, or in other words, the most powerful supernova ever seen as of today.

This object is so luminous that astronomers are having a really difficult time finding a way to describe it. “If it really is a magnetar, it’s as if nature took everything we know about magnetars and turned it up to 11,” said Krzysztof Stanek, professor of astronomy at Ohio State University and the team’s co-principal investigator, comedically implying it is off the charts on a scale of 1 to 10.The object was first spotted by the All Sky Automated Survey of Supernovae (ASAS-SN or “assassin”), which is a small network of telescopes used to detect bright objects in the universe. Although this object is ridiculously bright, it still can’t be seen by the naked eye because it is 3.8 billion light years away.

ASAS-SN, since it began in 2014, has discovered nearly 250 supernovae, however this discovery, ASASSN-15lh, stands out because of its sheer magnitude. It is 200 times more powerful than the average supernova, 570 billion times brighter than the sun, and 20 times brighter than all the stars in the Milky Way Galaxy combined.

“We have to ask, how is that even possible?” said Stanek. “It takes a lot of energy to shine that bright, and that energy has to come from somewhere.”

Scientology Strikes Back — and News Org Knuckles Under

Last week, I wrote about the media’s abject failure to tell the true story of Scientology and its relationship with Lisa Marie Presley, who lived most of her life in the notorious cult before breaking away. She died January 12 at age 54.

This week, I received an interesting email from Dodge Landesman — an anchor for KYMA, the  Yuma, AZ, NBC and CBS TV station — who also covered the Scientology angle in the Presley story. He told me that he has been fired. Like me, he wrote about Presley and her role as a possible witness against Scientology in a criminal trial for rape against another celebrity, Scientologist Danny Masterson.

After the story aired, Landesman explained, Scientology contacted the reporter, as well as his bosses, who bounced it to the conglomerate that owns the station — and threatened to sue them.  The company pulled the story and fired Landesman.

In place of the original article is this mysteriously vague notice:

Editor’s Note: In an exercise of editorial discretion, NPG of Yuma-El Centro Broadcasting, LLC has elected to unpublish this piece. After careful review, and given information that came to light after the piece was published, NPG of Yuma-El Centro Broadcasting, LLC has determined that it can no longer stand behind the piece because, among other things, it contained aspects of opinion by the author.

If Landesman had written something false — as proven by “information that came to light after the piece was published” — it’s odd that the editor didn’t publish a correction notice.

KYMA News Director Ernesto Romero declined to discuss the matter, saying, “Our company does not comment on personnel matters and the editorial note included in the article speaks for itself.”

Although the original report has been taken down, we can still view it here — with the tantalizing headline “Lisa Marie Presley was planning Scientology takedown before her death.”

Inside a US Neo-Nazi Homeschool Network With Thousands of Members

Earlier this month, while the rest of the country was celebrating the achievements of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., parents and children in the “Dissident Homeschool” network opened a lesson plan and were greeted with the words: “As Adolf Hitler wrote…”

The contents of the MLK lesson plan would be shocking for almost anyone, but for members of the 2,400-member “Dissident Homeschool” Telegram channel, this was a regular Monday at school.

“It is up to us to ensure our children know him for the deceitful, dishonest, riot-inciting negro he actually was,” the administrator of the network’s Telegram channel wrote, alongside a downloadable lesson plan for elementary school children. ”He is the face of a movement which ethnically cleansed whites out of urban areas and precipitated the anti-white regime that we are now fighting to free ourselves from.”

Since the group began in October 2021 it has openly embraced Nazi ideology and promoted white supremacy, while proudly discouraging parents from letting their white children play with or have any contact with people of any other race. Admins and members use racist, homophobic, and antisemitic slurs without shame, and quote Hitler and other Nazi leaders daily in a channel open to the public.

VICE News joined the group simply by clicking on a link, though the list of members was not publicly visible.

What’s even more disturbing, however, is that the couple who run the channel are not only teaching parents how to indoctrinate their children into this fascist ideology, they’re also encouraging them to meet up in real life and join even more radical groups, which could further reinforce their beliefs and potentially push them toward violent action.

The Idea That America is Overrun with White Supremacy is a Conspiracy Theory

Bizarrely, after Tyre Nichols was cruelly beaten to death by 5 black police officers in Democrat-run Memphis, Tennessee, many people on the Left immediately moved to blame racism and white supremacy. Just to be clear, it wouldn’t have made sense to claim 5 white cops were racist in the same situation without any supporting evidence, but it inspires eye rolls when you have liberals claiming that black cops are engaged in white supremacy because it’s so obviously ridiculous.

You’re racist? Based on what? In America today, it’s based on the fact that people who are absolutely obsessed with racism and think everything is racist believe that you are. It’s really weird that we give professional race hustlers such a prominent voice in our country. It’s the equivalent of giving people who think the Jews are behind everything, prominent spots in the media and then pretending like they’re honest brokers when they claim the Jews are the cause of economic crashes and catastrophes.

We’re literally to the point where liberals are trying to convince the world that conservatives who don’t consider themselves racist, are big fans of black conservatives, and who believe in a colorblind world are actually white supremacists. That would be laughable enough, but we’ve gone beyond that to having liberals claim that black and Hispanic conservatives and even black cops of an unknown political orientation are being motivated to beat black suspects by white supremacy. Let’s just call this what it is.

It’s a conspiracy theory on par with “The Jews/Illuminati/Rothschilds/Lizard people/space aliens are behind it!” It’s just as silly and toxic as, “Sandy Hook was a false flag operation,” but it’s regrettably believed by a much wider group of liberals.

Top US Official Hails Nord Stream 2 Sabotage In Senate Testimony

Does this constitute a fresh official US confession of sorts?

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland during a Thursday Senate hearing positively celebrated the destruction of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines, due to a sabotage attack on September 26 of last year. Below she’s seen in live Senate testimony video  praising the act which turned NS2 into a “hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea” – in her words…

In the hearing, Nuland was questioned by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) over the issue of past sanctions against Nord Stream 2 and how effective she thinks they would have been. Nuland and Cruz were having an exchange based on hypotheticals in hindsight.

That’s when she made the surprise comments, offering the following perspective… “Like you, I am, and I think the administration is, very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea,” Nuland said with a partial grin on her face.

“Gratified” is not a word we’ve heard too often coming out of Western officials to describe their perspective on the sabotage event – certainly not in Europe at least.

Nuland went on to claim, however, that she had previously been pressing hard to “prevent this war” in negotiations with Russia.

Why Is The Mainstream Media Being So Quiet About The Military Strikes That Are Causing Massive Explosions In Iran?

Are you ready for a catastrophic war in the Middle East?  When I heard that there had been multiple military strikes inside Iran on Saturday night, I went to several prominent mainstream news websites looking for confirmation.  But I didn’t see any stories about these strikes on any of their front pages.  That puzzled me, because social media is filled with videos of these attacks, and there are lots of stories about them in Middle-Eastern news sources.  So why is the mainstream media here in the United States choosing to be so quiet about what is happening inside Iran?

I did find a Fox News story about the drone strike that happened in Isfahan, but that story appears to promote the Iranian view that it really wasn’t a big deal at all…

A loud blast has been reported at an Iranian military facility and officials in the country say it was the result of an “unsuccessful” drone attack.

“One of (the drones) was hit by the … air defense and the other two were caught in defense traps and blew up. Fortunately, this unsuccessful attack did not cause any loss of life and caused minor damage to the workshop’s roof,” the ministry said in a statement carried by the state news agency IRNA.

If you just read that story, you would be tempted to believe that this attack was a complete nothingburger.

Of course this is what the Iranians often do when they are attacked.  They act tough and deny that any serious damage has been done.

But the Jerusalem Post is reporting that the strike on Isfahan was actually “a tremendous success”…

Despite Iranian claims, the drone attack on Iran at Isfahan was a tremendous success, according to a mix of Western intelligence sources and foreign sources, The Jerusalem Post initially reported on Sunday morning.

According to the Post, the facility that was hit is involved in “developing advanced weapons”, and “four large explosions” were recorded…

There were four large explosions at the military industry factory, documented on social media, against a facility developing advanced weapons. The damage goes far beyond the “minor roof damage” that the Islamic Republic claimed earlier Sunday and has falsely claimed in past incidents.

Recipient of $200M Federal Grant to Help Build Electric Vehicle Batteries in U.S. Must Pay $33.5M Fine for Pollution Overseas

Fires associated with EVs – including bikes and trucks – continue to be reported in the U.S. as well as worldwide.  Of course, there are numerous other issues associated with EVs – some of them environmental.  Nevertheless, the Biden Administration continues to promote EVs as environmentally friendly as well as fund their manufacturing, maintenance, and operation in the U.S.  We can only hope that some of the federal funding provided for a future EV battery plant in St. Louis, MO will be spent to prevent a situation like what already happened in Israel.

From St. Louis Today:

Company planning St. Louis expansion hit with $33 million fine for pollution overseas

The Israeli company planning an expansion to help build electric vehicle batteries in St. Louis reached an agreement last month to pay a $33.5 million fine for pollution in Israel — the largest such penalty in the country’s history, according to some reports.

ICL Group — which makes a range of chemicals, fertilizers, and industrial products — announced that the Dec. 14 settlement agreement between one of its subsidiaries and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority resolves issues sparked in 2017, when an evaporation pond wall collapsed at one of its fertilizer plants in southern Israel.

The incident spilled over 26 million gallons of highly acidic water across more than 12 miles of the surrounding desert and watershed, causing contamination and, according to Israeli news reports, killing a third of a local herd of rare ibex — a kind of wild goat known for long, curved horns.

In the aftermath, Israel’s Ministry of Environment launched a criminal investigation into the plant’s owner and ICL, its parent company.

“All the plants and animals in the valley during the tsunami of acid were probably highly damaged, probably dead,” said Oded Netzer, an ecologist for the ministry, Reuters reported in 2017. “In the long term, there will be soil damage and large functional ecological problems.”

Through the new settlement, ICL’s subsidiary agreed to pay for restoration of the contaminated area and other things, such as legal expenses. The financial impact on ICL “is not expected to be material,” the company said in a recent summary posted to its website.

ICL did not respond to requests for an interview.

CDC Officials Who Spread Misinformation Apologized To Source Of False Data But Not To Public: Emails

U.S. health officials who spread inflated COVID-19 child death data in public meetings apologized to the source of the false data but not to the public, newly obtained emails show.

Drs. Katherine Fleming-Dutra and Sara Oliver, with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), offered the false data in 2022 while U.S. officials weighed granting emergency authorization to COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as 6 months.

The study they cited for the data was published ahead of peer review by a group comprised primarily of British authors. The study was corrected after the public meetings.

Emails obtained by The Epoch Times showed that Fleming-Dutra and Oliver were alerted that they had spread misinformation. Neither the officials nor the CDC have informed the public of the false information. Newly obtained emails showed the officials apologized to Seth Flaxman, one of the study’s authors, and even offered to see whether the study could be published in the CDC’s quasi-journal.

“I feel … that we owe you an apology,” Oliver wrote to Flaxman on June 27, about 10 days after she and Fleming-Dutra falsely said there had been at least 1,433 deaths primarily attributed to COVID-19 in America among those 19 and younger. “We draw the attention of a variety of individuals with the ACIP meetings, and apologize that you got caught in it this time.”

“I am also sorry that you got pulled into the attention around the VRBPAC and ACIP meetings,” Fleming-Dutra added. She had presented the data to the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, which advises the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which advises the CDC.

Fleming-Dutra, Oliver, and Flaxman did not respond to requests for comment.
