It’s disgraceful that Huckabee is the U.S. ambassador to Israel

John Mearsheimer, the University of Chicago professor, said in an interview Tuesday that it is a “disgrace” that a dyed-in-the-wool Christian Zionist like Mike Huckabee is the U.S. ambassador to Israel after the Baptist pastor said it would be “fine” if Israel steals more land in the Middle East, based on Biblical text.

Huckabee, an evangelical extremist, was asked by Tucker Carlson about the Bible’s Genesis 15, which The New York Times noted included God promising the descendants of Abraham “the lands from Egypt to the Euphrates River, in modern-day Iraq.”

Huckabee was asked if he agreed that the Israelis have a right to the land, and he responded that he would be “fine if they took it all.”

Huckabee told Carlson that Tel Aviv is not interested in claiming the land.

“They don’t want to take it over, they’re not asking to take it over,” he said.

Al Jazeera noted that Huckabee spent much of the interview referring to the West Bank as “Judea and Samaria” and justifying the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Huckabee is a staunch supporter of all things Israel and has defended Tel Aviv’s land grab in the past. He said in previous interviews that Israel may be occupying the territory, but “it is an occupation of land that God gave them 3,500 years ago.”

Mearsheimer said it is hardly surprising that Huckabee believes Israel should own most of the territory in the Middle East, “but actually saying that when you are representing the Trump administration, when you are the U.S. ambassador to Israel, is quite remarkable.”

“Look, it’s a disgrace that this man is the U.S. ambassador to Israel, just like it’s a disgrace that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are the two principal diplomats dealing with Middle East issues,” he told Judge Andrew Napolitano’s Judging Freedom. “We should have people in those positions you have no attachment to Israel. The United States of America should have America-First people in those positions, and it does not.”

Russia’s FSB Charges Telegram Founder Pavel Durov with Aiding Terrorism

Russia’s Federal Security Service is now pursuing a criminal terrorism case against Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram. The charge, “assistance to terrorist activities” under Article 205.1 of the Russian Criminal Code, carries up to 15 years in prison. The accusation was published Tuesday in Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Russia’s official state newspaper, which said the article was “based on materials from Russia’s Federal Security Service” and called Telegram “a tool for hybrid threats.”

The timing is hardly subtle. For months, Moscow has been throttling Telegram’s speed, blocking its voice and video calls, and pushing tens of millions of Russians toward MAX, a state-built messaging app with no end-to-end encryption, legally required integration with the FSB’s surveillance infrastructure, and a privacy policy that allows sharing user data with government authorities on request.

MAX has been pre-installed on every smartphone sold in Russia since September 2025. Telegram, used by more than 90 million Russians every month, is the target. MAX is the replacement. The terrorism charge against Durov is the lever.

Durov responded on his Telegram channel: “Russia has opened a criminal case against me for ‘aiding terrorism.’ Each day, the authorities fabricate new pretexts to restrict Russians’ access to Telegram as they seek to suppress the right to privacy and free speech.”

Hawaii Residents Should Be Terrified to Find Out What Will Happen If These Bills Pass

Remember that scene in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith when the Galactic Senate votes to give all-encompassing emergency powers to Emperor Palpatine?

That’s basically what will happen in Hawaii if a pair of emergency powers bills are passed. State lawmakers have advanced two bills that would empower the governor to declare an emergency and then order quarantines, enter private property, suspend existing statutes, regulate and seize firearms, and completely exterminate the Jedi order.

Okay, I made that last one up, but the fact remains: These bills are some of the scariest I’ve seen at any level of government lately.

House Bill 2236 and Senate Bill 2151 are moving through the state legislature at the same time that Gov. Josh Green is still ruling under a longstanding housing emergency proclamation that suspended land-use and transparency rules to fast-track home construction, Hawaii Public Radio reported.

The bill would grant the governor the authority to “require the quarantine or segregation of persons who are affected with or believed to have been exposed to any infectious, communicable, or other disease” and to “authorize without the permission of the owners or occupants, entry on private premises for any of these purposes.”

The state would also be empowered to “authorize that public nuisances be summarily abated and, if need be, that the property be destroyed by any police officer or authorized person.”

Those opposing the measures point out the impact it will have on constitutional rights. Advocacy group Hawaii Capitol Watch warned that the bills “would ensure that executive branch leaders do not arbitrarily call long-standing and complex societal challenges, such as unaffordable housing or illegal activity, as ‘emergencies’ in order to suspend our environmental, cultural protection, good governance, procurement, and labor laws indefinitely – as the Governor attempted to do with his emergency proclamation on (un)affordable housing.”

Former Norway PM Attempts Suicide After Epstein-Linked Raid, Corruption Charges: Report

Norway’s former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland was hospitalized a week ago after a failed suicide attempt, days after he was charged with “gross corruption” after a police probe into his ties with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, local outlet iNyheter reports

Jagland, 75, who gave Barack Obama a Nobel peace price less than nine months into his presidency, was charged on February 12 after police carried out an extensive search of his properties – including apartments in Oslo and in Risør.

According to the report, Norway’s Økokrim – which investigates economic and environmental crimes – took the serious step of sending a letter to the Council of Europe requesting that Jagland’s immunity be lifted. It was revoked one day before the raids took place. In the letter, Økokrim says that Jagland and his immediate family used Epstein’s private apartments in Paris and New York multiple times between 2011 and 2018, and stayed at Epstein’s villa in Palm Beach, Florida – with travel being likely covered by Epstein in connection with one of the stays.

Epstein also reportedly paid for travel and hotel costs for Jagland and five other adults in the Caribbean, and reportedly asked Epstein for a loan, though it’s unclear whether that was actually made.

If convicted, and he doesn’t successfully kill himself, Jagland faces up to a decade in prison if convicted.

In one 2018 email exchange, Epstein wrote to Jagland suggesting that “I think you might suggest to Putin, that Lavrov, can get insight on talking to me.”

Jagland served as Norway’s Prime Minister from 1996 to 1997, and held other prominent international roles – including Secretary General of the Council of Europe (2009-2019) and chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

The Graveyard of Destructive Ideas

How do destructive ideas and bouts of collective madness so quickly become policy, law, and the status quo? After all, most have little public support—and are not Western nations supposedly rationally governed?

There is usually a multi-step process on the road to these self-destructive fits of society-wide insanity.

The suicidal impulse so often begins with left-leaning researchers in elite universities (i.e., the tenured in search of a novel, grant-getting theory). They begin insisting that a new existential threat requires immediate government intervention, novel legislation, ample funding, and public awareness of the impending danger.

So out of nowhere, the public is warned that the scorching planet will be inundated by rising seas in a mere decade. Or that millions of transgender youth are our next civil rights frontier, given that they suffer in silence without political advocacy, new laws, programs, and the chance for “life-saving,” powerful hormonal treatments and radical sex-reassignment surgeries. Indeed, the travel time from an outlandish idea by the faculty lounge to liberal status quo is a mere few years.

Next, the media, hand-in-glove with academia, springs into action to persuade the skeptical public to “follow the science” and “trust the experts.” It castigates any doubters as cranks or “conspiracy theorists” who spread “disinformation” and “misinformation”; or as racists, nativists, sexists, homophobes, and transphobes who must be silenced.

Hollywood and sports celebrities often piggyback on the frenzy, hijacking awards ceremonies and pre-game national anthems to out-virtue-signal each other, warning the public that they must adapt and change—or else!

Almost overnight—to take just one example—going to an isolated beach without a mask during the COVID pandemic, showing skepticism about the efficacy or safety of experimental mRNA COVID vaccines, or daring to believe that the Wuhan gain-of-function virology lab (in part aided and abetted by grants and support from Dr. Fauci’s National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and the National Institutes of Health) was the source of a manufactured COVID pathogen became heresies. And the perpetrators, as always, had to be punished either legally or through social ostracism and cancel culture.

Third, liberal foundations begin funding more “research” to “prove” that partisan “experts” should not be ignored. They also fund activist groups that hit the street to gin up popular support, which often results in the required tumult and occasional violence. They embrace the theory that any disruption will so bother the public that it will support almost anything if it just makes the bedlam go away.

New victims and their oppressors are created ex nihilo.

Jiminy Cricket, German Hurt #Feelingz Strike Again

This is your weekly reminder that just because the Europeans do wounded vanity, umbrage, and virtue-signaling lectures so much better than we do doesn’t necessarily mean that what is issuing forth from their sanctimonious streusel holes matches what their barely restrained authoritarian instincts are doing in actuality.

One of the best ways to highlight the dual nature of their conflicted existence is to pick some of the subjects that constitute their favorite defensive posturing. A couple that are really getting worn out in tussles against the Americans are ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy.’ These are often used interchangeably, or, even better, when they combine them for what Europeans perceive as a coup de grâce argument-ender.

This is all well and good posturing in the Never Never Land of diplomatic sword crossing for public effect. But in the trenches, streets, and homes of regular citizens, mayhap things look a little different than the rosy, beatific picture of pastoral freedoms and hives of honey-laden democracy painted by the Brussels Brahmins from their castles.

A prime example has surfaced.

I’ve often written of the skeletal, scarecrowish, bespectacled creature who clings with bony fingers to visions of wielding outsized international influence even as he reigns over the meltdown of his own once prosperous and mighty economy as Chancellor of Germany. From the very beginning, from the day after his election, in fact, I dubbed the risible Friedrich Merz ‘Master of the Old Magoo‘ in reference to his chameleon-like ability to change his colors – and dump his promises – at a moment’s notice.

This conscience-free, unscrupulous, ethically unconcerned style of governance has not gone unnoticed or is much appreciated by Germans themselves, and imagine that. It’s kind of like being a dewy-eyed Spanberger or Mamdani voter right about now, only Germany is more of a police state trying to deal with it.

Did I say that?

*checks notes*

Why, yes. Yes, I did.

Here’s what everybody’s missing about Newsom’s statement to ‘low IQ’ black voters…

Every election cycle, super-rich, out-of-touch white Dem politicians try to convince us that they’ve got some mega magical connection with minority voters. They claim to understand minority struggles, speak their language, and know exactly what these communities need. How do they know this? Well, nobody’s known until now. Apparently, wealthy white liberals understand black voters because they also have low SAT scores and can’t read.

Yes, you heard that right.

Gavin Newsom just announced this to the world.

At an event that was supposed to focus on outreach to black voters, Newsom twisted himself into a pretzel, trying to present himself as relatable to black folks. Instead, Gavin wandered straight into the kind of tone-deaf territory that has swallowed Dems whole for years. Not the open hostility kind of stuff, but something just as evil. That soft, patronizing vibe is called the “bigotry of low expectations.”

For readers who may not be familiar with the phrase, it refers to a mindset the left encapsulates, where they believe minority groups need special intellectual or behavioral allowances because they’re so unskilled and unable. They dress up this bigotry as compassion or empathy, or even “rescuing.” But the real world sees it for what it is: condescension.

And Newsom just handed that critique gallons of fresh fuel.

Here is the moment that’s making the rounds online. While trying to emphasize that he’s a totally-relatable-and-not-elite-kinda-guy, Newsom basically called all black people low-IQ dullards.

Wait, That’s What Set Off Libs About Abigail Spanberger’s SOTU Response? You’re Gonna Laugh at This.

Virginia Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger is set to deliver the State of the Union response tonight. Scratch that—it’ll likely be early Wednesday morning. President Trump is set to deliver one of the longest addresses of this nature ever. It’s going to be one for the history books. If Trump, who is known to go off-script, says this is going to be long, it’s going to be long.

You don’t want to be the person selected to deliver the rebuttal at the State of the Union. No one cares, no one is watching, and in this case, no one literally won’t be watching. Yet, the Left is already having a tantrum on Bluesky because Spanberger will be delivering her remarks from Colonial Williamsburg.

These people are unserious and impossible to speak to, lost in their self-riotousness, drowning in arrogance, and so ignorant that they render everything incomprehensible with their random tangents that go nowhere. It’s truly an odyssey into who can come off as a bigger idiot who feigns academic bona fides.

O’Keefe Media Group Goes Undercover: Cattle Ranchers and Insiders Expose How Tyson, JBS, Cargill and National Beef Secretly Control America’s Beef Market

The O’Keefe Media Group went undercover at CattleCon in Nashville, Tennessee, and exposed how Tyson, JBS, Cargill and National Beef secretly control America’s beef market.

In November, President Trump said cattle prices were falling while beef prices kept rising and launched an investigation into price manipulation.

Trump directed the DOJ to investigate the meat packing companies who are driving up the prices through illicit collusion, price fixing and price manipulation.

The O’Keefe Media Group went undercover at CattleCon and ranchers spilled the beans on how the “Big Four” control the beef industry.

“Our team spoke directly with ranchers and industry partners, documenting firsthand how the “Big Four” dominate the market and impact pricing,” James O’Keefe said.

“Tyson, JBS, Cargill, and National Beef control most of the U.S. beef industry, raising serious questions about who really sets the price. So when you see higher prices at the grocery store, it’s worth asking why,” O’Keefe said.

“This may explain why your steak keeps costing more,” he said.

“They [Big Four] are buying like all the companies in the United States… so they don’t have competition,” one insider said.

“They [Big Four] can knock you out of this industry in two seconds,” another said.

“They [Big Four] closed all the markets — all the markets are theirs in Brazil and now in the U.S.”
