YouTube censors scientist’s popular podcast for mentioning ivermectin

YouTube censored one of the most popular podcasts in the country because it mentioned the drug ivermectin as a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19.

Bret Weinstein, an evolutionary biologist who was a professor at Evergreen State College, told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night YouTube has blocked “The Darkhorse Podcast” from generating ad revenue, which is how he makes a living.

YouTube said it will not allow any channel to discuss “[c]laims that ivermectin is effective in treatment or prevention of COVID.”

Carlson asked Weinstein why YouTube, which is owned by Google, would do such a thing.

“It is confusing, but I think to understand it, the thing to do is to consider the question of what would be ideal from the perspective of the pharmaceutical industry at the moment? It would be ideal if vaccines were recommended for all people irrespective of their age, irrespective of whether they had already had COVID-19, and irrespective of whether or not they were pregnant,” he said.

“And it would be essential that there were no safe and effective alternatives to the vaccine because if there were safe and effective alternatives, the Emergency Use Authorizations that allow the administration of the vaccines would evaporate.”

Weinstein said the “evidence is strong that ivermectin works both as a prophylactic and as a treatment if given early.

YouTube deletes President Trump interview

YouTube has removed another interview with former President Trump, continuing its pattern of blacklisting Trump from its platform, even when appearing as a guest on other channels.

This time, Trump’s interview with David Brody on “The Water Cooler” show on the Real America’s Voice news network has been purged after the tech giant claimed that the video contained “content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election.”

During the interview, Trump responded to headlines that claimed he’d admitted he lost the 2020 US presidential election by saying: “I never admitted defeat.”

He also said it’s up to the public and “perhaps, politicians” to decide wether the election was fraudulent and added: “I don’t think there’s ever been a case like this where hundreds of thousands of votes will be found. So we’ll have to see what happens.”

Not only was this Trump interview scrubbed but the Real America’s Voice YouTube channel was also hit with a strike which blocks it from uploading or live streaming for seven days.

Real America’s Voice program director Roger Hudson described the censorship of this Trump interview as “a little heavy-handed and probably inappropriate” and said Trump “didn’t say what they [YouTube] said he said.”

Amazing New Website Confirms YouTube Is Suppressing Dislikes on Joe Biden Videos by as Much as 600%

There is a relatively new website that tracks the popularity of Joe Biden’s video channel — the same man that smashed all US records and received 81 million votes in the 2020 election while campaigning from his basement.

The website tracks the YouTube page of Joe Biden’s White House. And after several weeks of results can confirm that far-left YouTube is suppressing the dislikes on Joe Biden’s videos.

In fact the dislikes on the White House YouTube page are being manipulated on every single Joe Biden White House video!

EVERY SINGLE ONE!

Former Reddit CEO Ellen Pao: ‘Deplatforming Works’

“Deplatforming works,” boasted former Reddit CEO Ellen Pao, who became notorious among Reddit users for her pro-censorship policies during her brief tenure as head of the company, in a tweet posted this week.

Pao made the tweet in response to a study that showed the decline in attention for a group of right-wing commentators in the wake of their bans from YouTube.

“Deplatforming hate works,” said Pao. “It worked on reddit in 2015, and now it’s working on YouTube.”

Google-sponsored report recommends subverting online “conspiracy” groups from within

Google-owned YouTube already purges large amounts of content for containing what it deems to be “harmful conspiracy theories” and boosts what it says are “authoritative” mainstream media outlets to push what it deems to be the “right information.”

Now, a report that was sponsored by Google’s Jigsaw unit (a unit that “explores threats to open societies, and builds technology that inspires scalable solutions”) has recommended a new approach – infiltrating and subverting online conspiracy groups from within by targeting “moderate members” of these groups in the hope that they “exert influence on the broader community.”

The report was published by the research organization RAND which “develops solutions to public policy challenges to help make communities throughout the world safer and more secure.”

RAND receives funding from Google and several US government departments including the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

This specific report, “Detecting Conspiracy Theories on Social Media: Improving Machine Learning to Detect and Understand Online Conspiracy Theories,” was sponsored by Google’s Jigsaw unit and was conducted within the International Security and Defense Policy (ISDP) Center of the RAND National Security Research Division (NSRD) which conducts research and analysis for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the US Intelligence Community, US State Department, allied foreign governments, and foundations.

Washington court rules YouTubers aren’t members of the news media

The Washington State Supreme Court rules that YouTubes are not a member of the “News Media,” and therefore do not qualify for press privileges. The ruling shows how existing legislation works against individual and independent journalists whose medium is online platforms.

In the Green vs. Pierce County case, the Washington Supreme Court ruled that the YouTuber is not a member of the “News Media.” Green runs a news YouTube channel called “Liberty’s Champion,” which has more than 18k subscribers. He submitted a public records request to Pierce County after he had a disagreement with a security guard employed by the county. The purpose of the request was to get more information about the county’s security force.

We obtained a copy of the case documents for you here.

The county obliged to the request, but did not submit all the records Green requested. He requested all the records, arguing that as a member of the news media, he was entitled to the information. The county still refused his request.

So he sued the county at the district court, which ruled in his favor. The county appealed at the supreme court, which ruled against Green.

The states laws define “news media” as:

“Any newspaper, magazine or other periodical, book publisher, news agency, wire service, radio or television station or network, cable or satellite station or network, or audio or audiovisual production company, or any entity that is in the regular business of news gathering and disseminating news or information to the public by any means, including, but not limited to, print, broadcast, photographic, mechanical, internet, or electronic distribution.”

From the definition, it is clear the statute has not been updated to keep up with the current times. While Green’s channel fits the definition of news media, it is disqualified by the phrase “entity,” whose legal definition, according to the court, should be interpreted to fit the traditional news outlets included in the statutes. Unfortunately, the list only includes organizations, not individuals.

YouTube censors Dr. Ron Paul’s Liberty Report after video questioning Bill Gates

Former Congressman Dr. Ron Paul has been censored by YouTube again, this time for posting an episode of his political talk show titled “What’s in it for Bill Gates – Does He Want To Rule The World?” which YouTube deemed to be “medical misinformation.”

In the episode, Dr. Paul and his co-host Daniel McAdams, Executive Director of The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, discussed recent coronavirus statistics that had been released, the negative economic impacts of lockdowns, the way governors and police forces have used the coronavirus to exert power, the media’s coronavirus fear mongering, and speculated on Bill Gates’ motives amid the pandemic.

Specifically, they noted that Gates has “all the money he could possibly need,” stated that Gates has “a demonstrated history and track record of believing very strongly that the world is overpopulated and that we need population control,” and referenced news reports of Gates-backed vaccines causing polio outbreaks in Africa.

Ironic: YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki receives Free Expression Award from pro-First Amendment group

After an unprecedented year of YouTube censorship, the Freedom Forum Institute, a group which states that its mission is “to foster First Amendment freedoms for all,” has given YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki a Free Expression Award.

The homepage for the 2021 Free Expression Awards and Festival states that it recognizes individuals “for their courageous acts of free and fearless expression” and lists YouTube as a “signature sponsor” of the event.

In a video promoting the award, Wojcicki proposed that removing content only becomes censorship when you go “too far”:

“We’re removing content that violates our policies. You can go too far and that can become censorship, and so we have been working really hard to figure out what’s the right way to balance responsibility with freedom of speech.”

During an interview, she then discussed how censorship impacted her personally when her grandfather stayed in Poland after World War Two and was behind the Iron Curtain – a political boundary that divided Europe for more than 45 years and was infamous for the way open contact with those inside the Iron Curtain was heavily censored.
