UK Police Show Up at Cancer Patient’s Door Demanding an Apology For Social Media Post

Just when you thought British speech policing had reached the bottom of the absurdity barrel, they bring a jackhammer.

In June, Thames Valley Police managed to dispatch one of their elite to investigate a grave national threat: an American cancer patient who may have written something a bit spicy on social media.

Yes. That’s not a joke. That is, in fact, the plot of a low-budget dystopian sitcom that the real world seems hell-bent on adapting in full.

Deborah Anderson, a mother of two, a member of the Free Speech Union, a cancer patient, and, as she put it herself, “an elderly woman,” was enjoying the blissful serenity of not being in prison when a Thames Valley Police officer showed up at her front door.

Why? Because “something that we believe you’ve written on Facebook has upset someone.”

Let’s pause here.

We are no longer talking about crime. We are no longer talking about justice. We are now fully submerged in the soggy underworld of “upset someone.”

This is what policing has become in Britain; knocking on doors to gently scold the sick and the elderly because someone got their feelings hurt.

“I’m a member of the Free Speech Union, and I’m an American citizen. I’ll have Elon Musk on you so quick your feet won’t touch,” Anderson told the officer, who probably realized at that exact moment that his day’s mission had veered into Monty Python territory.

The officer, in all his taxpayer-funded wisdom, suggested that Deborah Anderson could simply apologize and make the whole thing go away, as if groveling before the offended masses had suddenly become a formal step in police procedure.

It was less “serve and protect” and more “say sorry and maybe we won’t waste more of your time.”

Now British ‘thought police’ order Trump-supporting pensioner to apologise for ‘upsetting’ Facebook post or face investigation

British police have been accused of a ‘dystopian’ attack on free speech after an American woman was threatened with investigation – over her posts online. 

Footage of the encounter has been seen more 1.3million times since it was posted last night and has sparked a furious response from campaigners. 

It shows a woman, named as American cancer patient and Donald Trump supporter Deborah Anderson, being confronted in her home in Slough, Berkshire, by Thames Valley Police.

The MAGA-backing mother-of-two was accused of ‘upsetting’ a person following an alleged ‘threatening’ post she made on Facebook, which was reported to police. 

The officer declined to say which of the alleged posts had been complained about.   

In the video, ‘elderly’ Ms Anderson then flatly refuses to apologise for her comments online before she is threatened with the potential of a formal interview at a police station. 

The incident, filmed in June, prompted an intervention by the Free Speech Union (FSU), who last night claimed Thames Valley Police had since dropped the case. The force today confirmed no further action was taken over the allegations.

It comes as Britain faces fierce criticism over a recent clampdown on free speech, which has seen people being arrested, convicted or jailed over posts made online. 

The issue has prompted concern from US President Donald Trump – who is in the UK on his state visit – and warned earlier this month ‘strange things are happening over there, they are cracking down… I’m very surprised to see what’s happening’.

Pennsylvania Mayor Sparks Outrage After Saying He Is ‘Glad’ Charlie Kirk Is Dead

Bernville, Pennsylvania Mayor Shawn Raup-Konsavage (D) sparked outrage after posting on social media that he is “glad” Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is dead.

“This is what MAGA represents, This is what Trump lowered flags for. If this represents you then I don’t want to hear that you are offended that I’m glad he is gone,” the Bernville mayor posted.

This is not the first time that the mayor has enflamed controversy.

After the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, he posted, “Try harder.”

“That Trump post that he had posted, there was a lot of controversy with that in this town, a lot of hatred towards him after that,” Mark Rodriguez, a Bernville resident, said.

“Me, I really don’t care honestly, but it’s sad when everybody judges this man based on his opinion. He’s done great things for this town; he’s helped a lot and with all this going on it seems like he just shelters himself now,” Rodriguez continued.

Wayne Lesher, the Bernville council vice president, said, “He said what he wanted to on his own Facebook page which is freedom of speech and all that, but I certainly don’t agree with it and I think what he said was terrible. You’re celebrating the death of somebody; that’s nothing to celebrate.”

“It does have consequences. Several people have lost their jobs because of what they said, and you have freedom of speech to say what you want but you can pay for it too,” Lesher continued.

Days After Charlie Kirk Assassination, Randi Weingarten Calls Conservatives ‘Fascists,’ Compares to ‘Nazis’

The head of one of the nation’s largest teachers unions is back to calling conservatives “fascists” and “authoritarians” and making comparisons to “nazis” just days after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated. 

President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Randi Weingarten ran an excerpt of her new book “WHY FASCISTS FEAR TEACHERS: Public Education and the Future of Democracy” in Rolling Stone on Tuesday. The article airs her often trot-out claims painting concerned parents and conservatives as fascists for cracking down on DEI materials, gender ideology indoctrination, and pornography in schools.  

Here are a few lines from her book, per Rolling Stone: 

“Democracy is people power. But fascists want one leader or a small group of elites to have all the power. And that is what’s happening in the United States right now — with billionaire Trump having enabled his shadow governing partner Elon Musk, the wealthiest person in the world, to act as his co-president.”

“Authoritarians actively attack truth, knowledge, and critical thinking because an uninformed public is easier to control. Degrading public education and critical thinking skills may only prime more Americans to not recognize disinformation and misinformation and take authoritarian leaders like Trump at their word.”

“In other words, those inclined to support authoritarianism exhibit a general avoidance of or allergy to critical thinking. And authoritarians like it that way.”

“It makes me wonder whether far-right extremists are trying to deliberately inculcate an anti-critical thinking, pro-authoritarian disposition by undermining public education.”

“And what do fascists do when they’re worried that students might learn about the truth on their own? They ban books. Book bans are a very old and deeply disturbing tactic that, frankly, I never thought we’d see with such horrifying scope and scale in our country…This has profoundly disturbing precedents. In March 1933, an election consolidated Hitler’s power. Two months later, Nazis ransacked the Institute for Sexual Science, a pioneering medical center that studied gender and sexuality. The institute advocated for queer rights. Nazis removed all of the books from the institute — 20,000 books in total — for the first book burning in the Nazi regime. Book burning is part of a broader fascist pattern of attacking knowledge, freedom of information, and critical thinking.”

Weingarten’s article was published as far-left Democrats continue to essentially victim-blame conservatives for the horrific shooting death of 31-year-old Kirk, calling for divisive rhetoric to be turned down, even as people on the left cheer for his murder in droves and suggest Kirk deserved his fate.

John Carroll University Director of Laboratory Services Jeffrey Your reacted to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk by sharing a slew of posts mocking and celebrating the murder of the 31-year-old husband and father of two.

Your, who works at the Jesuit Catholic university in Cleveland, Ohio, reacted to Kirk’s assassination by sharing posts declaring “Some men improve the world only by leaving it,” and lamented those who want people “to stop taking pleasure at the idea of somebody else’s death.”

The John Carroll University director also shared messages stating, “Charlie Kirk was shot today. First off — fuck that guy. He’s a fascist,” and “now the headlines want me to clutch my pearls because violence finally touched him? Spare me.”

“I extend absolutely no empathy for people like that,” another post read, smearing Kirk as a “racist, xenophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece” and falsely accusing the late Turning Point USA founder of standing for “nothing but hate.”

Another social media post shared by Your in reference to Kirk stated, “Say stupid things, win stupid prizes” while another bizarrely accused the murdered Turning Point USA founder of “inciting violence” and being the “cause” of violence in the United States.

Another post shared by Your wished for Kirk’s children to “grow up to live in a country that is the total opposite of everything their father envisioned.”

“Another vile human being exposed celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk,” Rep. Michael Rulli (R-OH) reacted in a Wednesday X post, adding, “This is a sickness of the mind. John Carroll should fire Jeffrey Your immediately.”

Stop Sending Your Kids To Schools Where Teachers Celebrate Murder

Last week, the leftist culture of death claimed another prize victim. A modern-day Socrates, Charlie Kirk bearded the lion in its den by going onto college campuses to challenge the ideas of students, professors, and anyone else who happened to be there through respectful dialogue. And like Socrates, Charlie was so successful in changing the hearts and minds of young people that the left had to kill him to shut him up.

On cue, Democratic leaders offered tepid denunciations of the political violence they inspire before deflecting to President Trump, Jan. 6, and, of course, gutting the Second Amendment. The Democrats’ radical base, on the other hand, was far more honest; they gleefully praised the murder of one of Western civilization’s greatest defenders.

At the forefront of these demonic celebrations were members of the educational establishment. While both school districts and state governments are taking action against these ghouls, the damage has already been done. Teachers do not just impart knowledge; they also shape our children’s characters. A system that has granted such power to murder-loving ideologues cannot be redeemed; it must be destroyed and remade.

The True Purpose of Education

Up until the modern era, the purpose of education went beyond mere economics. The early Renaissance writer Petrus Paulus Vergerius explained the moral nature of the liberal arts:

We call those studies liberal which are worthy of a free man; those studies by which we attain and practice virtue and wisdom; that education which calls forth, trains and develops those highest gifts of body and of mind which ennoble men, and which are rightly judged to rank next in dignity to virtue only. For to a vulgar temper gain and pleasure are the one aim of existence, to a lofty nature, moral worth and fame.

With the advent of mass public education in the industrial era, this ancient focus on “moral worth and fame” was supplanted by more practical concerns. Workers in the local factories needed to be more concerned about doing their jobs in the most efficient way possible rather than grappling with the great ideas of Western civilization.

The pragmatism of John Dewey, the godfather of modern American education, made his approach to moral education vague at best. For him and his pedagogical heirs, character is not established on timeless principles inculcated from youth but must be subject to constant re-interpretation to fit ever-changing modern contexts. This paradigm shift enshrined the poison of moral relativism at the center of American schooling, where it festers to this day.

In the 20th century, families, religion, and social associations were still strong enough to keep the “vulgar tempers” produced by these schools in check. As the left has chipped away at these institutions over the decades, the educational establishment has seized more and more responsibility over shaping the character of its charges, to the point where it actively hides its efforts from parents and seeks to punish those who dare to complain.

Mom of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin describes radical shift in last year: ‘More pro-gay and trans rights’

Tyler Robinson’s mother told investigators she had watched her son change dramatically in the year leading up to the Utah college shooting of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Once a college scholarship recipient with a promising future, Robinson had “become more political,” leaning left and supporting “pro-gay and trans rights,” his mother said, according to court documents.

She also recounted heated arguments between Robinson and his father, who held sharply different views and regularly sparred over their competing ideologies.

At one point, she told police, her son dismissed Kirk’s Utah Valley University (UVU) event as a “stupid” venue and claimed Kirk “spreads too much hate.”

Prosecutors now argue that political hatred was at the core of Robinson’s alleged actions.

In court filings, they allege he intentionally targeted Kirk “because of his political expression” — and his parents recognized him from surveillance video after the shooting.

“Robinson’s father reported that when his wife showed him the surveillance image of the suspected shooter in the news, he agreed that it looked like their son,” prosecutors alleged in court filings.

Germany’s Free Speech Crackdown: AfD Thuringia State Chairman Björn Höcke Fined $35,000 for Saying “Everything for Germany”

In Germany, free speech is under siege, and the latest victim is Björn Höcke, the chair of the Alternative for Germany (AfD)’s Thuringian state branch. Höcke, a true patriot fighting for his nation’s self-determination, achieved AfD’s inaugural first-place finish in a state election.

Höcke was slapped with fines totaling around $35,000 for simply uttering the phrase “Alles für Deutschland” – “Everything for Germany” – in public speeches.

The ruling parties in Germany have been weaponizing the judicial system against the AfD, and this latest outrageous ruling from the Federal Judicial Court seeks to silence patriots who dare to put their country first.

Höcke’s troubles began in 2021 when he ended a rally speech in Merseburg with the words, inspiring crowds with a call to national pride. Prosecutors claimed the slogan echoes Nazi-era, leading to his first conviction and a €13,000 fine in May 2024.

He faced a second trial for a 2023 event in Gera, where he prompted the audience to complete the phrase, resulting in another €16,900 penalty.

The slogan “Alles für Deutschland,” however, has deep roots in German history. Originating in the 16th century, it became a rallying cry in the 19th century for national unity during the Unification Movement.

King Ludwig I of Bavaria famously used it in an 1848 proclamation, declaring “Everything for my people! Everything for Germany!” to inspire his people during revolutionary times.

The Nazis later co-opted the phrase as the paramilitary SA Storm Division’s motto, engraving it on daggers and belts, which is the basis for the judicial ruling against Höcke, despite the fact that Social Democrat and Christian freedom fighters were using the slogan in opposition to the Nazi Party.

Post-World War II, during the Marshall Plan era, the slogan returned to symbolize dedication to national recovery amid economic revival.

A website dedicated to exposing the sick leftists celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk has received over 50,000 submissions.

Expose Charlie’s Murderers is seeking to hold leftists accountable for their violent rhetoric following his murder.

“This website is a lawful data aggregator of publicly-available information,” it states. “It has been created for the purposes of public education.”

“We seek to collect and archive instances of individuals promoting or glorifying of political violence, much like archive.org or archive.is.

“We firmly denounce all political violence and criminal activity.”

The website’s founders argues that “individuals with dangerous ideas shouldn’t be in positions where they can endanger others.”

“Those glorifying Charlie’s murder shouldn’t be doctors, law enforcement, lawyers, judges, or teachers.”

NPR’s Luse: Kirk ‘Said Some Extremely Bigoted Things’ and That’s Why Some on Left Downplay His Death

On Friday’s edition of NPR’s “It’s Been a Minute,” host Brittany Luse stated that Charlie Kirk “said some extremely bigoted things. Because of that, I have seen and heard some folks who are saying something like, this type of violence shouldn’t happen, but I’m not mad that it did happen to this person, meaning Charlie Kirk.”

Luse said, [relevant exchange begins around 12:55] “[L]ooking to the left, Charlie Kirk was undeniably a polarizing figure for his, at times, extreme conservative views. He said some extremely bigoted things. Because of that, I have seen and heard some folks who are saying something like, this type of violence shouldn’t happen, but I’m not mad that it did happen to this person, meaning Charlie Kirk. What would you say to someone who takes that kind of stance in this politically-charged moment?”

Guardian Reporter Abené Clayton responded, “I think that’s a tough one, you know what I mean? Because it’s like, even that comes with its own dangers. You know what I’m saying? I’m a black woman. To me, the things he was saying [were] like, no, this just does not work for me, this is racist, this is trifling. And I also think there’s a little bit of pressure from other folks on the left to see Democratic lawmakers say, like, this person was horrible, this is bad, yes, but also look at what he said. I think that’s what people want, but that’s not super advisable if we’re trying to create an environment of, like, peace, safety, and justice for everyone.”

At the beginning of the show, Luse stated, “America is divided on how to respond to this moment. I have seen some people on the right calling for revenge. I’ve seen some people on the left indifferent or even cheering that this right-wing pundit, who frequently spouted bigoted views, was killed. I’ve also seen people of all political backgrounds fearing for what the shooting and the reaction to it mean for this country’s future.”
