Francesca Hong, the radical leftist running for governor of Wisconsin, has been in the news for the last two days over negative comments she once made about Thanksgiving being a symbol of colonialism and ‘the original superspreader.’

Well, the polling on that must have come in because now Hong is out there telling people that Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday and she totally means it, everyone.

These people have no shame. They will literally look you in the face and say whatever they think will open the doors of power for them.

They think no one remembers a thing.

Forget what she said before. Now she loves Thanksgiving.

Francesca Hong says Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday: ‘I don’t want to cancel it’

Democratic socialist and Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong (D) walked back on her previous social media post calling to “cancel Thanksgiving,” telling Politico’s Irie Sentner in an interview Wednesday that the holiday is her “favorite.”

Hong, a professional chef and Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate, added that she “actually loves” Thanksgiving. She originally defended the post, which was published to social media in 2021, during a Monday CNN appearance — sparking criticism from Republicans and political strategists.

“I’m just going to be real, I’m kind of a curmudgeon when it comes to holidays in general,” Hong told Sentner on Wednesday. “But right now, what we want to get serious about is making sure we deliver a Democratic trifecta.”

The post — now deleted — read, “Cancel Thanksgiving. Should have done this in 1621.” During her CNN interview, the gubernatorial candidate described the holiday as a “time that’s incredibly painful for many people in our communities.” Though she added that “views can evolve.”

She really means it, folks.

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Source,” Democratic Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong responded to a question on whether she still believes Thanksgiving should be canceled as she had previously tweeted by saying that she has cooked Thanksgiving meals, “But Thanksgiving is also a time that’s incredibly painful for many people in our communities. And so, I think there, I wanted to make sure that people understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve.”

Host Kaitlan Collins asked, “Do you still believe that Thanksgiving should be canceled?”

Hong answered, “I’m a chef, and one of the first meals that I made that was for the community, when I was 16, was a Thanksgiving meal. I always think my hospitality background in owning a restaurant for seven, eight years, that, bringing folks around the table to share conversation and build community, is always a good thing. But Thanksgiving is also a time that’s incredibly painful for many people in our communities. And so, I think there, I wanted to make sure that people understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve. And the position that I’m running for right now, and I think my background as a chef will actually help me become a better governor that’s able to bring more people to the table.”

‘Green Wednesday’ surges as Americans swap alcohol for cannabis ahead of Thanksgiving

The biggest shopping day of the year may be Black Friday, but the cannabis equivalent happens the day before Thanksgiving.

Despite potential health risks, “Green Wednesday” has been named the second-highest day of the year for pot sales, according to various reports, second only to April 20 (4/20) as the leading day for sales.

This is in part due to dispensaries offering large discounts on products like pre-rolls, edibles, gummies, vapes and flowers.

According to Dutchie, an Oregon-based e-commerce platform used by thousands of dispensaries across the U.S., average sales increased 91% on Nov. 27, 2024 — the day before Thanksgiving last year — compared to a typical Wednesday. The average basket per shopper increased by 9% to more than $70.

New York dispensaries reported even higher numbers, according to the analysis, with medical baskets reaching more than $106.

The other thing Americans consume in record numbers on Thanksgiving: marijuana

On what was shaping up to be the busiest day of the year at a marijuana dispensary in Maryland, people kept rolling in. They had all come with the same plan: to get a little something extra to bring to Thanksgiving dinner.

Edibles for the in-laws, pre-rolls for that post-meal walk. Maybe some special cookies to share with friends.

“People getting stocked up for Thanksgiving, huh?” one customer observed, scanning the busy rows of check-out stations.

“Yeah, you know, cousins coming into town, family getting together, people needing to relax a little” said E. Friday, a personal care specialist who goes by their first initial and uses the pronouns they and them. Friday works at RISE, a cannabis dispensary in Silver Spring, Md.

“You know how it goes,” Friday added.

They chuckled.

As cannabis has become less stigmatized and more readily available in the U.S., industry experts said, Green Wednesday has begun to rival famed stoner holiday 4/20, which falls on April 20, as the day weed dispensaries see the highest sales numbers and the most foot traffic.

At RISE, the merchandise was moving. BACKFIRE: Humiliation Ensues for Democrat Party After Getting Caught Spreading an Unbelievably Dumb Lie Regarding Trump and Epstein

The Democratic Party suffered epic humiliation after social media users caught them making up a lie about President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein that was so embarrassing and massive it would make a toddler blush.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Democrats’ Committee on Oversight on Wednesday morning released a “tranche of correspondence” from the Epstein Estate, claiming to “strike a blow against the White House’s Epstein cover-up.” The three unrelated emails span the dates from 2011 to 2019.

One email from 2011 was a correspondence between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell from April 2, 2011. Epstein wrote to Maxwell a little after 2pm:

i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [REDACTED VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him,, he has never once been mentioned.

The redacted victim, according to the House GOP Oversight Committee, is Virginia Giuffre, who tragically is reported to have taken her own life in April 2025. She had exonerated Trump from any wrongdoing.

In response to the release, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told FOX News Digital, “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

But the lies from the Democrats only continued. The official Democrat Party account posted this claim on Thursday evening: Trump spent his first year as President having Thanksgiving with Epstein.

Yes, really.

MSNBC’s Ali Velshi Urges Viewers to Ruin Thanksgiving by Confronting Family Over Rumored Trump ‘Third Term’ Run

MSNBC host Ali Velshi has urged his dwindling audience to turn Thanksgiving dinners into heated political showdowns over the idea of Donald Trump seeking a third term as president.

In a segment titled “How We Prepare,” Velshi laid out a paranoid four-point plan to “resist” what he claims are Republican efforts to undermine future elections, while specifically calling on viewers to confront family members who dare mention a Trump third term.

“When people actually show up, that’s what works,” Velshi said.

The unhinged host continued, “In 2020, lawyers, judges and ordinary citizens forced the certification of the presidential election in the states. In Wayne county, Michigan, ground zero for the first nullification attempt, when officials flirted with refusing to certify the election, the public flooded the meeting. The plot collapsed the moment that locals caught wind of it. Republicans were willing to subvert democracy in the dark, but not so much in front of an engaged public. That’s lesson one for 2025.”

Next, he pushed for “voter buddy systems” to protect so-called vulnerable groups like Latino voters from intimidation, bizarrely warning about ICE agents lurking at polling places to scare people away. It appears to be an admission of his belief that illegal aliens are voting, as this would not be a concern for American citizens.

“Number two, create voter buddy systems, especially for neighbors who fear intimidation at the polls,” Velshi continued. “One tactic experts are worried about is the potential deployment of ICE agents to polling places. You can see why some qualified Latino voters — never mind Latino voters — anybody who’s a little bit brown like me, wouldn’t want to get caught up in a raid, thrown into detention until they can clear their names, just for going out to vote.”

His third plan point? Form “rapid-response teams” of everyday citizens to stake out polling places, voter dropboxes, and county meetings like some amateur surveillance squad.

“Build local rapid response teams, groups of ordinary citizens who show up as they’re doing in courts right now, at county meetings, at certification hearings, at voter dropboxes your physical presence is a deterrent to improper and illegal behavior,” he said.

The Trump Derangement Syndrome poster boy also advised monitoring election practices in other states as “test runs” for bigger schemes.

“Follow what’s happening in other states,” he urged. “That’s why these elections on Tuesday are so important, whether you live in one of them or not. The military deployments, attempted voter purges, the election monitors — consider them all trial runs for the bigger play, the one that’s going to happen right where you live.”

Ultimately, he asks his viewers to ruin Thanksgiving.

Velshi suggested shoving a pocket Constitution in the face of “that one uncle” who brings it up, pointing to the 22nd Amendment: “No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice.”

“And finally, do not let Donald Trump and Republicans normalize talk of a third term — a third presidential term is illegal. Full stop,” Velshi declared. “So when that one uncle floats a third term loophole conspiracy over Thanksgiving dinner, don’t let it slide. And if your uncle insists that it’s doable, hand him one of these: A pocket Constitution opened to the 22nd amendment, section one, which reads, quote, ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice.’”

Democrats Say Thanksgiving is About Being Grateful For Illegal Aliens: ‘For Picking and Packing the Food’ and ‘Cleaning the Hotel Rooms’

While most Americans are simply grateful for the freedom and prosperity they enjoy, some Democrats are insisting that Thanksgiving is also about being grateful to illegal aliens.

As the country celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, various Democratic lawmakers posted messages urging people to be grateful for the “undocumented immigrants” who helped put their meal on the table.

Among them was Barack Obama’s former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Julian Castro, who specifically called on Trump supporters to show their gratitude to migrant workers.

“Everyone at the dinner table today, especially MAGA, please give thanks to the undocumented immigrants that picked and packed the food you’re enjoying,” he wrote on the X platform. “They deserve our grace. Happy Thanksgiving!”

Atlantic Writer’s Advice for Dealing With Conservative Family on Thanksgiving: ‘Maybe You’ll Need to Report a Relative to The FBI!’

A Wednesday newsletter from The Atlantic urged readers to use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to “deprogram” their conservative relatives.

“Maybe you’ll plant the seed, sow just a little doubt about whatever Tucker Carlson is saying now,” Molly Jong-Fast wrote. “Or maybe you’ll need to report a relative to the FBI!”

Jong-Fast described Thanksgiving as an invariably disappointing day that does not live up to the “hallmark-movie fantasy.” Jong-Fast’s best Thanksgiving, she wrote, was the one she spent in rehab when she was 19.

The writer rejected the idea that Thanksgiving should be a time of niceties, gratitude and harmony. Instead, she argued, readers should turn the holiday into an opportunity to tell their “creepy uncle” to get the vaccine or tell their aunt that her news sources are biased and unreliable. Her readers may be the only ones to tell their anti-vax cousin that the vaccine won’t make her infertile, Jong-Fast explains.

She told readers that some of their family members likely “follow QAnon” and need to be educated at Thanksgiving about the COVID-19 vaccine’s safety or the authenticity of the 2020 election.

MSNBC Declares Thanksgiving Is About White People Celebrating “Genocide And Violence” Against Blacks

MSNBC took five minutes out of its race baiting coverage of the Rittenhouse case to remind its extremist viewers (there can’t be many left) that Thanksgiving is coming up and that it is a celebration of… you guessed it, white supremacy.

Tiffany Cross, who earlier had called Kyle Rittenhouse a “murderous white supremacist,” handed over a segment of her show to Gyasi Ross who declared that the holiday is part of the “pathology of white America” believing that they have improved the country.

“But I’m still trying to find out what indigenous people received of value,” Ross proclaimed, adding “Instead of bringing stuffing and biscuits, those settlers brought genocide and violence.”

He further declared “That genocide and violence is still on the menu as state-sponsored violence against Native and black Americans is commonplace. And violent private white supremacy is celebrated and subsidized.”

“Black people are still being murdered by those paid to protect us,” Ross added in a rant against police.

He continued, “white Americans are still killing Native and black Americans with no fear of reprisal. They brought chattel slavery to Africans and Native people that still happens through the prison-industrial complex that imprisons the descendants of enslaved Africans and Natives at far disparate numbers.”

“That is the reality of Thanksgiving,” he concluded.
