Rep. Salazar’s Bill Would Hand Out Amnesty In Exchange For Penalties Illegal Aliens Will Never Pay

Here’s a deal for Republican Rep. Maria Salazar: If her proposed immigration bill passes, she has to personally cover the cost for every illegal alien who doesn’t voluntarily pay the laughable $7,000 “restitution” she’s offering them in exchange for amnesty. Oh, and they all need to move to her district.

Salazar has been on cable news all week promoting her “Dignity Act,” which would give illegal aliens protection to stay in the United States if they, among other things, pay the paltry sum over the course of seven years. That’s how little Salazar thinks of her fellow Americans: Lawbreakers who barged into the country uninvited get to live with us in exchange for a few thousand dollars that there is no reason to believe a single one of them would ever pay.

Why would they? They’ve been living here all along with no penalty at all. But she expects them to pay something now? Salazar should go play in traffic.

At the risk of giving Salazar’s trash bill the dignity of considering it at all, it’s ridiculous to assume that people who break the law every single day by being here would instantly become sticklers for rules. Salazar either doesn’t know how this works or she doesn’t care.

All migrants who illegally enter the U.S. have a simple thought process: They know they’re not supposed to do it, but breaking the law and evading deportation is worth the risk. Each day they have that same thought.

Here’s what would happen if they were mandated to pay $7,000: Many of them, probably most, would continue to have that same thought. They wouldn’t pay, and it would be worth the risk.

And then what? The same thought process starts all over again. They’re here illegally, they know they shouldn’t be, and it’s worth the risk.

New GOP-Backed Amnesty Bill Is A Gift To Dems And A Middle Finger To Voters

The release — or lack thereof — of the Epstein Files has consumed most of MAGA’s attention in recent days. But there’s something far more dangerous that deserves the full force of MAGA’s attention: a cadre of so-called Republicans is working to foist a mass amnesty program on the American people.

Florida Republican Rep. María Elvira Salazar reintroduced the DIGNITY Act on Tuesday, which, according to a press release from her office, “allows certain long-term undocumented immigrants to earn legal status, without amnesty or a path to citizenship” so that illegal aliens who broke the law can have an “opportunity.” The bill would create a “7-year earned legal status program allowing” illegal aliens “to live and work legally, with renewable status based on good conduct and restitution.”

“The legislation acknowledges a key truth: most undocumented individuals are not seeking citizenship at all costs, but rather the dignity of living and working legally, contributing to society, paying taxes, being safe from deportation, and traveling to see family during the holidays,” Salazar’s press release declares.

But no one deserves to be rewarded for violating our sovereign borders simply because they want to “pay taxes” and “work.” When Republicans dress up mass amnesty as “dignity,” they’re falling into the left’s trap — the lie that empathy must override the rule of law. It’s the same emotional blackmail we see time and time again that demands the American people legalize the presence of illegal aliens because they’ve found the rules too inconvenient to follow.

And conservatives should remember this is not the first time Republicans have been seduced by the false promise of compassionate amnesty. Ronald Reagan’s 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act was sold as a one-time fix — amnesty for nearly three million illegal aliens in exchange for real, long-lasting border security. The amnesty happened. The border security evidently did not. Reagan’s mistake was that he ceded an inch to people who have no intention of ever stopping there. His decision to grant mass amnesty signaled to Democrats that with enough grandstanding, they could get their way.

House Republicans Block Democrat-Led Effort to Force Release of Epstein Files to the Public — Here Are the Five Republicans Who Voted Against Transparency

In a jaw-dropping move late Monday, House Republicans once again slammed the door shut on transparency, voting 7‑5 in the Rules Committee to block Rep. Ro Khanna’s amendment that would have forced Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice to publish all Epstein‑related files publicly.

Last week, Rep. Ro Khanna (D‑CA) announced he will introduce an amendment on Tuesday, forcing a House vote to release the full trove of Epstein-related files to the public.

The same party that spent years stonewalling investigations, blocking the release of Epstein’s client list, and downplaying his vast connections to the global elite is now suddenly pretending to care about transparency.

Jeffrey Epstein was a monster, but his real ties were to the Democrat elite. Bill Clinton flew on Epstein’s Lolita Express at least 26 times, rubbing elbows with the pedophile financier while jet-setting around the world.

“Why are the Epstein files still hidden? Who are the rich & powerful being protected?” Khanna wrote on Saturday.

“On Tuesday, I’m introducing an amendment to force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public. The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record.”

He continued, “Will the House allow a vote on Tuesday on the Khanna Amendment demanding the full release of the Epstein files?”

In a 7–5 late-night Monday vote, House Republicans on the Rules Committee shut down a Democratic-led amendment spearheaded by Rep. Ro Khanna (D‑CA).

The measure would have forced Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice to publish all Jeffrey Epstein–related documents—including flight logs, communications, and purported client lists—on a publicly accessible website within 30 days.

House Republican Urges Justice Department To Drop Charges Against Doctor Accused Of Destroying COVID-19 Jabs And Giving Patients Fake Vaccine Cards

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is urging the Justice Department to drop charges against a doctor who allegedly destroyed “thousands” of COVID-19 jab vials and gave patients vaccine cards without taking the experimental injections.

“I am writing a letter to the DOJ asking all charges be dropped against Dr. Kirk Moore. who is facing thirty five years in federal prison for destroying thousands of vials of COVID-19 vaccine, giving his patients vaccine cards without taking the shots, and injecting saline into children whose parents wanted them to believe they got vaccinated without risking the deadly side effects,” Greene wrote.

“This man is a hero, not a criminal. The charges were filed under Biden’s DOJ, not Trump,” she added.

GOP Senator Who Helped Federally Legalize Hemp Is Seeking To Close ‘Loophole’ By Banning Products With Committee Vote This Week, Sources Say

The senator who championed the federal legalization of hemp is now seeking to reverse much of the reform by pushing legislation at a committee hearing this week to ban on consumable products with quantifiable amounts of THC, industry stakeholders say.

Several sources told Marijuana Moment on Tuesday that Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the former majority leader in the Senate who led the push for hemp legalization as part of the 2018 Farm Bill, is behind forthcoming language in agriculture spending legislation that would effectively wipe out the consumable hemp product market.

The bill text has not been released at this point, however, and there are efforts within the cannabis space to get it amended before it goes to a vote in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday. Marijuana Moment reached out to McConnell’s office for comment, but representatives did not respond by the time of publication.

Two of the sources said that the hemp provisions will be identical to what the House Appropriations Committee passed late last month, with noted cannabis prohibitionist Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) leading the charge to correct what he’s described as a “loophole” in the Farm Bill that led to the proliferation of consumable—and in certain cases intoxicating—cannabinoid products such as delta-8 THC that have gone largely unregulated.

Another source said McConnell is aware that hemp legalization is part of his legacy in the Senate and wants closing the so-called “loophole” that has allowed the proliferation of intoxicating products to be part of that history.

Industry experts say the language wouldn’t just ban controversial hemp products found at gas stations and headshops across the country, however. Based on the House text, it would prohibit all products containing any amount of THC, and the concern is that it would mean even CBD items would likely be banned because it’s extremely rare that the extraction of that non-intoxicating cannabinoid would have no THC.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told Marijuana Moment recently that he’s opposed to cannabis language included in the House agriculture appropriations bill that’s now heading to the floor. He said “I think would completely destroy the American hemp industry.”

“I don’t know how you’d be able to sell CBD oil with that,” he the senator said.

While Harris amended report language attached to the bill that clarifies it’s not the intent of the committee to stop people from accessing “industrial or nonintoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoid products with trace or insignificant amounts of THC,” the House bill itself still says that products containing any “quantifiable” amounts of THC couldn’t be marketed. And it’s rare to find CBD items without any natural traces of THC.

Again, while industry sources familiar with the discussions say the Senate version will contain identical language in its current form, the text isn’t publicly available and it’s possible it could be revised ahead of Thursday’s committee markup. But if the language is the same, that would raise serious concerns in the hemp sector, significantly increasing the likelihood that it could be enacted into law.

Eleven Republican Members of Congress Demand NIH End Fauci’s ‘Barbaric’ Animal Tests as Agency Clings to Cruel Legacy

Eleven members of Congress have signed a letter requesting that the National Institutes of Health end its funding for barbaric dog and cat experiments approved under Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The letter cited Gateway Pundit’s reporting and the relentless investigations of taxpayer watchdog White Coat Waste Project (WCW).

Writing to NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, the House lawmakers, led by Republican Rep. Paul Gosar, demanded the immediate cancellation of all Fauci-funded dog and cat experiments. Citing WCW’s evidence, they blasted the NIH for “disturbing” tests, including a $10 million UNC-Chapel Hill project that breeds hemophiliac puppies only to slaughter them post-experiment. “We are sending this request with considerable urgency,” the lawmakers wrote, signaling a zero-tolerance stance on the NIH’s animal cruelty.

The letter cited Gateway Pundit’s exclusive report about how the NIH, under Director Bhattacharya, has renewed millions in funding for controversial experiments, including THC tests on monkeys at Harvard, tick bites on beagle puppies, and Anthony Fauci’s notorious “Monkey Island.”

“Ongoing investigations by the non-profit group White Coat Waste have documented how the NIH continues to renew and fund dozens of Dr. Fauci’s disturbing experiments on dogs and cats in labs around the world, in which animals are infested with insects, infected with viruses, force-fed experimental drugs, and killed,” the letter states.

Gosar laid out three ironclad demands to dismantle Dr. Anthony Fauci’s legacy of cruel animal testing. First, they requested that the NIH immediately cancel all active funding for dog and cat experiments approved under his tenure. Second, they insisted on a blanket prohibition of all new NIH grants for harmful dog and cat testing, aiming to choke off future atrocities. Finally, they demanded full transparency, asking the NIH to disclose all current taxpayer funding for these experiments, exposing the scope of the agency’s gruesome practices to public scrutiny.

The letter was co-signed by Republican Representatives Harriet Hageman, Daniel Webster, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, Eli Crane, Scott Perry, Pete Stauber, Michael Cloud, Chris Smith, and Pat Fallon.

Choice Tax Breaks: The GOP’s Federal Plan To Transform Education

Buried in the 940-page “big, beautiful” budget blueprint is an unprecedented tax credit that, if approved, will be a long-sought victory for the private school choice movement in its drive to expand and break into Democratic states that for decades have blocked its path.

The tax credit program, which would provide scholarships to K-12 students to pay for private schooling, would mark a significant shift in federal education policy. The scholarships would be the first major federal initiative designed to propel the nationwide growth of private school choice, a largely conservative and Christian movement championed by President Trump and suburban Republicans alike. It comes just as the Trump administration dismantles large parts of the U.S. Department of Education that support public schools attended by the vast majority of 50 million students.

The private school choice movement, which started in 1990 to give families more options aligned with their values and children’s learning needs, remains a small piece of the education landscape. It supports about 1.2 million students in private and home schools in 35 states, primarily in the South and West. Advocates expect that the proposed federal program would jump-start a new round of expansion by providing scholarships to families to make private school more affordable.

Beyond boosting participation, the program is also a wedge to crack into states controlled by Democrats. These blue-state lawmakers, backed by teachers’ unions, have long resisted private school choice as a threat to public school enrollment. The granting of scholarships, advocates say, would plant a seed of interest among families in Democratic enclaves at a time when enrollment and academic performance have been steadily declining at public schools.

“In terms of the number of students served and the geographic scope, it would be the most important piece of school choice legislation ever,” said Patrick Wolf, a prominent scholar of the movement at the University of Arkansas. “Advocates hope it will provide a proof of concept in blue states and show that if a few thousand kids get scholarships the public school system won’t crater.”

But the potential of the scholarship program to meet the advocates’ goals has been weakened this week in the Senate. The program was included in the massive budget bill because, as a standalone measure, it wouldn’t survive a filibuster by Senate Democrats. The budget bill can be passed by a simple Senate majority, provided it only addresses fiscal matters.

The Senate parliamentarian, however, objected to the scholarship program, ruling, to the dismay of Republicans, that it seeks to impose a policy on the states. In response, Republicans had to amend the initiative to allow states to decide whether to participate, a change that could hamper the movement’s efforts to breach liberal jurisdictions.

What A Mess In Georgia, Will National GOP Leadership Do The Right Thing? Or Overlook The Stink Of Corruption As 2026 Approaches

Many of us in the grassroots have been shocked at the behavior of GOP officials across the nation. It’s almost as if the GOP leadership doesn’t give a damn about Americans who want to participate in the political process.

In Miami-Dade for instance, we witnessed county GOP officials acting in a tyrannical manner, refusing to allow participation of those with the ‘wrong opinions’ in the selection of leadership. This resulted in many leaving the party in disgust and frustration as we have documented extensively at The Miami Independent.

In fact, it has happened all across Florida as the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) did nothing as Republican Executive Committees (REC) around the state literally had individuals removed from leadership, or saw the entire REC cancelled for being MAGA and pro-Trump.

The behavior of the RPOF stinks to high heaven.

Guess what, the GOP stinks like a pogie plant in Georgia too!

The GA GOP convention in Dalton was the most recent example.

We have documented extensively here at The Georgia Record the tyrannical behavior of the Josh McKoon faction at the convention, where the grassroots are supposed to be given access to the mechanisms of power and the people’s voice is supposed to be heard.

GOP Rep Calls For Jill Biden To Face Criminal Charges For ‘Elder Abuse’

Republican Illinois Rep. Mary Miller has called for former first lady Jill Biden to face criminal charges for elder abuse after her husband, former President Joe Biden, announced his cancer diagnosis following reports of significant mental deterioration throughout his term.

“Jill Biden was complicit in covering up Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline,” the congresswoman said in a post on X. “She should face CRIMINAL CHARGES for elder abuse!!”

In an interview with The Post , geriatric medical specialist Elaine Healy said that the former president is showing “telltale signs of elder abuse.”

“Visible bruising and other injuries from physical violence are obvious forms of abuse. Non-violent actions — like deprivation of food, causing weight loss, or intimidation, causing social withdrawal and personality changes — are also defined as abusive behavior,” she said.

“A more sinister type of elder abuse, however, involves the exploitation of an elderly individual for the abuser’s financial, personal, or — in this case — political gain,” the doctor said.

She also spoke about what the former first lady did with her husband after his infamous debate with then-GOP candidate Donald Trump, where she had to guide him off the stage.

“What was behind her insistence that he run for office when she, above all others, had to be aware of his failing cognitive capacities and declining physical health?” she said. “Is she a loving spouse or a master manipulator, using his dependency on her to control his decision-making? If the latter, she is engaged in elder abuse.”

Even Sally Quinn, a Washington Post columnist and outspoken critic of Trump, criticized Jill Biden.

“It May Blow This Whole Thing Open” – GOP Senator Schmitt Announces ‘First-Of-Its-Kind” Action on Biden Autopen Scandal

On Thursday evening, GOP Senator Eric Schmitt (MO) demanded access to sealed Biden autopen records after Neera Tanden admitted she controlled the autopen for more than a year and a half.

Ex-Biden official Neera Tanden admitted under oath to the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door testimony on Tuesday that she controlled Joe Biden’s autopen.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer recently identified five Biden aides who were involved in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline and autopen scandal.

Director of Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden was brought before the Committee on Tuesday and admitted she was authorized to use Joe Biden’s autopen between October 2021 to May 2023.

According to the Washington Examiner, Neera Tanden testified that she was also authorized to direct the autopen; however, she denied manipulation or abuse.

Additionally, Neera Tanden admitted she would utilize the autopen without actually verifying from Joe Biden himself that it was an authorized action.

Earlier this year, the Oversight Project revealed six criminals were pardoned by Biden’s autopen on December 30, 2022, while Joe Biden was vacationing and golfing in St. Croix.

Based on Neera Tanden’s Tuesday testimony, she was likely behind the Biden autopen pardons while Joe Biden was golfing in the US Virgin Islands.
