MSNBC Progressive Focus Group in Wisconsin Signals Tepid Support for Kamala Harris and Criticizes ‘Closed Doors’ Process of Selecting Her

MSNBC recently spoke to a focus group of progressive Wisconsin voters about Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee and the process of selecting her for the top spot.

While they did not come right out and criticize Harris as a candidate, they hardly seemed enthusiastic about the idea.

They also spoke negatively about the way the party handled the issue, behind closed doors and without any input from Democrat voters.

From Twitter/X:

MSNBC’s focus group of Wisconsin progressives did not go as planned. Democrats feel like Joe Biden harmed the Democrat party by not allowing an actual primary, and feel trepidation about Kamala Harris as the nominee:

Elise Jordan: “How do you feel about the process in which President Biden decided to not run for reeelction?”

Focus Group: “Would have been nice if he made this decision a year ago so we could have had a primary and maybe decided who we wanted to replace him rather than just all flocking to Kamala Harris.”

“By trying to clear the field and ensure that it was Biden, not allowing us to have an actual Democrat primary process.
We would have been benefited significantly if we had figured this out far sooner so there could have actually been more time to have internal debate, have internal democracy within the party.”

JD Vance sex slur is deleted by AP after wire agency decided to ‘fact-check’ lurid claim about GOP VP pick’s sexual preferences

The Associated Press has deleted an article where they fact-checked a wild sex claim about Donald Trump‘s VP choice JD Vance.

The wire agency sparked backlash after it published a piece on the Ohio senator Wednesday that was titled, ‘No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch.’

However, by the next day, the AP had removed the article from its archives, with the page address showing it is now unavailable.

A spokesperson for the AP told DailyMail.com on Thursday that the fact-check on Vance did not go through the standard editing process.

The agency said it’s looking into how it was published.

The now-deleted article came after memes began circulating on social media repeating a false rumor that claimed Vance, 39, wrote about having sex with a couch on his best-selling book Hillbilly Elegy.

High-profile names such as comedienne Kathy Griffin appeared to fall for the fake news, writing: ‘I don’t think we should have a couchf***er as our vice president. That’s just me. Sorry JD.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to the Associated Press for comment on this story.

The false information reportedly began circulating on X after the now-private account @rickrudescalves wrote: ‘Can’t say for sure but he might be the first VP pick to have admitted in a NY Times bestseller to f***ing an inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions.’

BEFORE AND AFTER: Watch the Media’s Total About Face on Kamala Harris as Biden’s ‘Border Czar’

The liberal news outlet Axios got caught red-handed today, trying to whitewash their own reporting on Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s ‘border czar’ but they are far from alone.

The entire liberal media establishment is furiously scrubbing their own reportage on this issue to hide the truth from the American people.

The reason they’re doing this is so obvious. The border and illegal immigration has become a top issue for voters, so it’s a vulnerability for Harris.

NewsBusters has done an outstanding job of calling out the media on this:

In June of 2021, CNN senior national correspondent Ed Lavandera repeated the framing of Harris as border czar: “The Vice President is expected to in El Paso in about an hour and a half… and this will be her first visit to the U.S.-Mexico border region since she was appointed as the border czar by President Biden.”

Journalists were using this same language as recently as last week. During the ABC News Live coverage of the RNC, anchor Kanya Whitworth remarked that the speakers “were very critical of Kamala Harris, especially in her role as border czar.”

Politico’s whining about the border czar label dates back to when Harris was appointed border czar. In fresher gripes about Republicans from over the weekend, they reported: “Despite insisting that she not be made the face of the administration’s border policies, Harris was tasked with stemming migration from Central American countries. That prompted GOP attacks on her as ‘border czar,’ a narrative the White House did little to combat.” Along with: “During the Republican convention last week, many speakers labeled Harris as the “border czar,” since Biden appointed her to take the lead on working with Central America to deter migration at the southern border.”

A LIBERAL NARRATIVE IS BORN: Joe Biden Voluntarily Walked Away From Power for the Good of the Country

Less than two weeks ago, former Obama adviser David Axelrod was trashing Joe Biden, saying that he was going to lose to Trump in a landslide.

Now that Joe Biden has dropped out of the race, Axelrod is praising Biden for stepping away from power for the sake of the country. These people have no shame.

Joe Biden did not voluntarily step away from anything. Joe Biden was forced out of the race by people like David Axelrod, Obama, and Nancy Pelosi because they knew he was going to lose.

But the narrative matters more than anything else to these people. So the new story is that Biden is a heroic patriot for deciding to walk away, a decision that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

FBI suffers a new black eye, accusing the wrong agent of leaking

Atop FBI official told Congress last year it believed one of its agents, whistleblower Garret O’Boyle, was the suspected leaker in an anonymously filmed interview with the undercover citizen-journalism organization Project Veritas. The claim even led some congressional Democrats to urge a criminal investigation of the agent.

There’s just one problem.

Video obtained by Just the News, a new whistleblower complaint, and interviews show the bureau identified the wrong suspect.

Raw footage from Project Veritas shows that former Agent Kyle Seraphin, another whistleblower, actually conducted the interview in question. Seraphin confirmed to Just the News he was the interviewed agent, not O’Boyle, whose security clearance was suspended in part on the bureau’s assertions that he had leaked to Project Veritas.

The revelations provide another black eye for the agency as Director Chris Wray prepares to come to face to face with lawmakers in a new round of oversight hearings on Wednesday.

“The FBI has escaped accountability thus far for what it did to S.A. O’Boyle. It continues its never-ending cycle of retaliation even to this day,” Tristan Leavitt, the president of the whistleblower group Empower Oversight, wrote the House Judiciary Committee this week ahead of Wray’s appearance before the panel.

Leavitt’s group represents O’Boyle and his letter divulged even more troubling information about the Project Veritas fiasco: The bureau knew O’Boyle wasn’t the leaker and did not disclose it to Congress or correct the record, according to a new whistleblower referenced in the letter.

The FBI declined comment Tuesday when asked about Leavitt’s letter.

Do NOT let the media lie about Joe Biden

Once again, the elite media is trying to rewrite history in real time.

Not even 24 hours after a Democratic and public rebellion forced President Joe Biden to give up his desperate quest for a second term1, the spinning and gaslighting began.

Biden is an “American hero,” one New York Times opinion piece claimed yesterday. What he did is “utterly extraordinary,” another said. The New Yorker referred to his “act of selflessness.”

Funny, no one called Richard Nixon selfless when he resigned rather than face impeachment in 1974. Or Lyndon B. Johnson a hero for quitting his reelection bid in 1968 after a national rebellion over Vietnam.

The media’s effort to whitewash the collapse of Biden’s campaign and pretend his allies and its own pressure did not make him quit is stunningly brazen. It must be confronted immediately.

Its consequences go far past how history will view Biden.

Most importantly, pretending Biden quit the race on his own gives a pass to Vice President Kamala Harris, his replacement as the Democratic nominee. It lets Harris avoid explaining how much she knew about efforts to hide Biden’s mental decline from the public, as well as her role – if any – in forcing him out.

Consider the bizarre timeline of the last two months.

J.D. Vance Did Not Have Sex With a Couch

Let’s cut right to the chase: J.D. Vance has not fucked a couch. Or, if he has, he did not write about it in Hillbilly Elegy. If you had not yet heard this false rumor, (1) I’m jealous, but (2) that means I can drag you down to my level by explaining what’s going on.

On July 15, Vance was announced as Donald Trump’s running mate. Shortly after, X user @rickrudescalves (whose account is now private) wrote, “can’t say for sure but he might be the first vp pick to have admitted in a ny times bestseller to fucking an inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions (vance, hillbilly elegy, pp. 179-181).” It’s an indictment on Vance’s demeanor that so many people believed this without question, but it is, in fact, a lie. Sorry to Kathy Griffin and everyone else who fell for misinformation.

Axios Accuses GOP of Fabricating Kamala Harris ‘Border Czar’ Title — 3 Years After Reporting Biden Made Her Border Czar!

Axios asserted that Republicans and the Trump campaign have falsely labeled Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s “border czar” — despite the fact they themselves reported three years ago that Biden appointed her as his border czar.

Axios’ “immigration guru” Stef Kight wrote on Wednesday that, “The Trump campaign and Republicans have tagged Harris repeatedly with the ‘border czar’ title — which she never actually had.”

“In early 2021, President Biden enlisted Vice President Kamala Harris to help with a slice of the migration issue — a move that has turned into one of the newly-presumptive presidential nominee’s first campaign headaches,” wrote Kight.

“Confusion around the VP’s exact role, early media misfires and the rapidly changing regional migration crisis has made the issue a top target for the GOP trying to define their new opponent.”

CNN: It’s ‘Wildly Irresponsible’ For Trump — Who Was Shot In The Head — To Say Secret Service Didn’t Protect Him

CNN’s Jim Acosta claimed during his afternoon segment on Tuesday that it was “wildly irresponsible” for former President Donald Trump to accurately note that the U.S. Secret Service failed to protect him from an attempted assassination that left him with a wounded ear.

“The Biden/Harris Administration did not properly protect me, and I was forced to take a bullet for Democracy. IT WAS MY GREAT HONOR TO DO SO!” former President Donald Trump wrote Tuesday on Truth Social.

The 2024 Republican presidential nominee also pointed out shortly after U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned in disgrace that she “never gave me proper protection, so I ended up having to take a bullet for democracy.”

“When you hear the former president saying something like that, what’s your reaction?” Acosta asked his guest. “I mean, obviously, the Secret Service is a professional operation. To say something like ‘they did not protect me,’ it just sounds just wildly irresponsible.”

The Cost of a Hoax

The scandal surrounding Canada’s Kamloops Indian Residential School (1890-1969, British Columbia) is an ultra-cautionary tale about the damage inflicted by self-interested politicians and activists, backed by a media that toes the line. The 2021 scandal sprang from the alleged discovery of 215 graves of indigenous children. They were said to have died under suspicious circumstances at the Catholic-run school and then buried in unmarked graves behind the facility. Kamloops was one of the largest schools in the residential system through which Indigenous children were culturally deprogrammed and indoctrinated to mold them into “proper” Canadians.

When the story broke, the press fell over itself in a race to sensationalism. CBC News on May 28 declared, “Remains of 215 children found buried at former B.C. residential school, First Nation says.” The Toronto Star announced on May 28, “The remains of 215 children have been found. Now, Indigenous leaders say, Canada must help find the rest of the unmarked graves.” The international press jumped on the speeding news train with their own headlines, such as “‘Horrible History’: Mass Grave of Indigenous Children Reported in Canada’” from The New York Times on May 31.

Actually, no graves had been discovered; their existence was extrapolated from “anomalies” in the earth found by ground-penetrating radar. Such anomalies are commonplace, however, and usually indicate a tree root, a large rock, or some other innocuous presence. Today, after three years and almost $8 million of publicly unaccountable funds being expended, no graves have been found. No one has bothered to even start the digging necessary to verify anything.

Evidence is optional in the court of opinion

The world was ready to believe without evidence. The residential school system was a horrific page of Canadian history and an act of cultural assault if not cultural genocide. Perhaps this history lent automatic credibility to the accusations that many students died prematurely and were buried anonymously as a cover-up or out of callousness.

The fallout from these accusations was stunning. Canada was internationally smeared as a genocidal nation; the United Nations called for prompt action on a massive “human rights violation”; the Pope apologized; dozens of Catholic Churches in Canada were burned down in retaliation; the 2021 Canada Day celebrations were canceled in national shame, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau taking a knee to Indigenous people. Subsequent government funds were pledged, including $3.1 million for a National Residential School Student Death Register and $238.8 million for a Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund. Other governments followed suit. For example, the government of Ontario pledged $10 million to search for unmarked graves at residential schools in this province.

Eventually, academics and journalists began to ask for evidence. In a 2022 New York Post article entitled “Biggest fake news story in Canada: Kamloops mass grave debunked by academics,” Professor Jacques Rouillard of the Department of History at Université de Montréal expressed an increasingly common concern. “Not one body has been found. After … months of recrimination and denunciation, where are the remains of the children buried at the Kamloops Indian Residential School?” And why hadn’t a single missing person’s report on them been found?

Almost alone among prominent Canadian media, the National Post ran a series of articles that showed cracks in what had become an almost sacred narrative about Kamloops. A Sept. 6, 2023, headline asked, “Who started calling residential school burial sites mass graves? At least in the beginning, First Nations didn’t claim there were deliberately hidden ‘mass graves.’ Media and activists did.” A May 30, 2024, article concluded, “Canada slowly acknowledging there never was a ‘mass grave’. There was much that was dark about residential schools, but no graves have been confirmed at Kamloops to this day.” In late 2023, the anthology “Grave Error: How the Media Misled Us (and the Truth about Residential Schools)” appeared.
