Biden-Harris admin’s disaster loan program tapped out after hurricanes

The Biden-Harris administration’s loan program for disaster survivors is out of money, the White House announced Tuesday. Congress must approve more funding for the agency but it is on break until after the presidential and Congressional elections of Nov. 5, Politico reported.

Without more funding, the Small Business Administration (SBA) can’t offer assistance to people who saw their homes and businesses destroyed by Hurricane Helene and Milton. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) says he has no plans on recalling Congress prior to Nov. 12 and argued that states need more time to assess the full extent of their required assistance from both hurricanes. Johnson responded to the need to top up the fund by saying “there’s no question these devastating back-to-back storms have stressed the SBA funding program.”

“But the Biden-Harris Administration has the necessary disaster funding right now to address the immediate needs of American people in these hurricane-affected areas,” the speaker continued. “Congress is tracking this situation closely, and when members return in just a few short weeks, the administration should have an accurate assessment of the actual dollar amount needed and there will be strong bipartisan support to provide the necessary funding.”

Without a total recall, Congress could pass an emergency funding bill during their “pro forma” sessions but it would only take one representative to stop the process without asking for a roll-call vote. Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) has put forward a bill to provide the SBA with another $8 billion for disaster loans, arguing that it was irresponsible to not plan ahead for hurricane season.

President Joe Biden said in a statement Tuesday that because Johnson has promised to get around to replenishing funding when Congress returns, Americans should still keep applying for loans.

FBI Fudges Violent Crime Stats To Hide 55 Percent Rise Under Biden-Harris Administration

When the FBI originally released the “final” crime data for 2022 in September 2023, it reported that the nation’s violent crime rate fell by 2.1 percent. This quickly became, and remains, a Democratic Party talking point to counter Donald Trump’s claims of soaring crime.

But the FBI has quietly revised those numbers, releasing new data that shows violent crime increased in 2022 by 4.5 percent. The new data includes thousands more murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults.

The Bureau — which has been at the center of partisan storms — made no mention of these revisions in its September 2024 press release. 

RCI discovered the change through a cryptic reference on the FBI website that states: “The 2022 violent crime rate has been updated for inclusion in CIUS, 2023.” But there is no mention that the numbers increased. One only sees the change by downloading the FBI’s new crime data and comparing it to the file released last year.

After the FBI released its new crime data in September, a USA Today headline read: “Violent crime dropped for third straight year in 2023, including murder and rape.” 

It’s been over three weeks since the FBI released the revised data. The Bureau’s lack of acknowledgment or explanation about the significant change concerns researchers.

“I have checked the data on total violent crime from 2004 to 2022,” Carl Moody, a professor at the College of William and Mary who specializes in studying crime, told RealClearInvestigations. “There were no revisions from 2004 to 2015, and from 2016 to 2020, there were small changes of less than one percentage point. The huge changes in 2021 and 2022, especially without an explanation, make it difficult to trust the FBI data.”

“It is up to the FBI to explain what they have done, and they haven’t explained these large changes,” Dr. Thomas Marvell, the president of Justec Research, a criminal justice statistical research organization, told RCI.

The FBI did not respond to RCI’s repeated requests for comment.

Biden administration to forgive $4.5 billion of public service workers’ student loans

After making what it called “significant fixes” to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, the Biden administration on Thursday is announcing the approval of $4.5 billion in student loan forgiveness for 60,000 borrowers who work in public service jobs. 

The PSLF was established by Congress in 2007 under then-President George W. Bush, to allow those working full time in public service jobs for 10 years who had made 10 years of student loan payments to have their loans forgiven. But as of four years ago, only about 7,000 people nationwide had received loan forgiveness under the program, due in part to its complicated rules and a lack of federal oversight. 

“Teachers, first responders, service members, sometimes have student debt and choose to get back to their communities or their country and accept low paying jobs, and student debt is often a real obstacle in that,” James Kvaal, Under Secretary of the Department of Education, told the Capital-Star. “So Congress created the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program in a bipartisan way, but it was never implemented.” He said some who were eligible for the program were in the wrong repayment plan, or some didn’t file the right paperwork at the right time. 

In 2021, the Department of Education (DOE) overhauled the PSLF program, which made more people eligible for forgiveness sooner. Since that time, 44,150 Pennsylvania public service workers have had more than $3.15 billion of student loans canceled, according to a fact sheet from the DOE, with a total of $175 billion forgiven for more than 4.8 million people nationwide. 

For those who may have applied for PSLF before and been rejected, Kvaal encourages them to reapply. And while some other student loan forgiveness programs the Biden administration has put forth have been blocked in the courts, the PSLF is an established program with bipartisan support, Kvaal said. The DOE has been working on streamlining the application process, he added, so that it’s easier for eligible borrowers to apply and track their status. 

And public service workers don’t have to wait until they’re past the 10-year mark to apply, Kvaal said, if they’re in a job that qualifies them for the program and plan to stay there, they can apply and track their progress on the DOE website until they’ve completed the requirements.

Kamala Harris Dodges Tough Questions on Biden’s Mental Decline: ‘Joe Biden is Not on the Ballot… and Donald Trump is’

Kamala Harris faced a barrage of tough questions during a rare, combative interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier on Wednesday, where she was pressed on President Joe Biden’s mental fitness and her role in covering up his declining health.

During the interview, Kamala Harris threw shade at former President Trump, labeling him “unstable” with an air of confidence.

But when Bret Baier flipped the script, asking her to explain her previous claims about President Biden’s mental sharpness, Harris appeared caught off guard.

“You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, that he ran circles around his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished?” Baier asked.

Harris froze, visibly scanning her mind for the right words. After a pause that felt eternal, she stumbled into a non-answer, praising Biden’s “judgment and experience” instead of directly responding.

“Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people,” Harris said.

Baier pressed further, asking if any concerns about Biden’s mental fitness had ever been raised, but Harris once again deflected.

“Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot… and Donald Trump is,” she said.

Baier, not satisfied, pressed further, referencing a New York Times op-ed by actor George Clooney, which noted a perceivable change in Biden’s demeanor.

The Failure of Biden’s ‘Just Say Don’t’ Foreign Policy

“Don’t.” That has been President Biden’s repeated message to Iran and Hezbollah in the year since Hamas attack Israel on October 7. Well, Iran just did. Again. That makes Tehran’s October 1 attack on Israel with about 180 ballistic missiles a test not just of Israeli resolve, but of American credibility. The United States should join with Israel in imposing, as national security advisor Jake Sullivan said, “severe consequences” on Iran.

The Biden administration’s strategy throughout the last year of conflict has been to seek de-escalation and avoid a broadening of the conflict wherever and whenever possible. That was the import of President Biden’s warning of “don’t” in last October, telling Iran and Hezbollah to avoid joining Hamas’s savage attack. He issued the same warning in April, as Iran was preparing to strike Israel.

The administration also backed up its warnings by deploying significant military assets to the region. That might have helped prevent a Hezbollah invasion of Israel a year ago, but that is about the extent his warning’s effectiveness.

Hezbollah attacked anyway, just from the air. Just a day after 10/7, it began raining rockets on northern Israel in a year-long war of attrition that has left over 60,000 Israelis homeless. Despite Biden’s warnings, Iran now has twice fired an unprecedented amount of missiles at Israel, which could have inflicted untold damage on Israel if they had penetrated Israeli airspace and hit population centers. Fortunately, Israeli and American air defenses neutralized them.

Indeed, Biden’s commitment to Israel’s self-defense has been admirable. His U.S. deployment of military assets has critically helped Israel in its defensive actions. But it is not just Iran that Biden has been trying to deter, it is Israel, too. And in that he has been far more successful.

Repeatedly, over the past year, Biden has said “don’t” to Iran, but Iran and its proxies did; Biden helps defend Israel, then tells Israel “don’t.” The Biden administration has opposed every Israeli action that would truly deter the Iranian axis and enable actual victory, such as the ground incursion in Gaza, the conquest of Rafah, and the killing of Nasrallah. After the April 13 Iranian attack, Biden told Israel to “take the win.”

The same pattern is repeating itself again.

Biden-Harris DOJ Announces It Will ‘Monitor’ Voting in Ohio County Due to Sheriff’s Immigration Comments

An Ohio sheriff’s comments have triggered the Justice Department to proclaim that it will monitor one Ohio county for potential voter intimidation.

The fuss began on Sept. 13 when Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski issued a post about Vice President Kamala Harris on his personal Facebook page, according to USA Today.

“When people ask me…What’s gonna happen if the Flip – Flopping, Laughing Hyena Wins?? I say…write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards,” Zuchowski wrote in the Facebook post, which no longer appears on his personal Facebook page. “Sooo…when the Illegal human ‘Locust’ (which she supports!) Need places to live…We’ll already have the addresses of their New families…who supported their arrival!”

The NAACP immediately began squawking about voter intimidation.

On Tuesday, the Justice Department announced its response, saying it will “monitor compliance with federal voting rights laws in Portage County, Ohio, during the early voting period and on Election Day,” according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

“Voters in Portage County have raised concerns about intimidation resulting from the surveillance and the collection of personal information regarding voters, as well as threats concerning the electoral process. Attempted or actual intimidation, threats or coercion directed toward any person for voting and related activities or urging or aiding others in voting is prohibited by Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965,” the news release said.

As noted by the Associated Press, the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio claimed the comments were an unconstitutional, “impermissible threat” against people displaying yard signs.

Freda J. Levenson, legal director of the ACLU of Ohio, alleged many residents believed the post was a “threat of governmental action to punish them for their expressed political beliefs” and took their signs down in fear.

Republican Gov. Mike DeWine called Zuchowski’s comments “unfortunate” and “not helpful.”

The Ohio secretary of state’s office shrugged off the fuss.

“Our office has determined the sheriff’s comments don’t violate election laws,” said Dan Lusheck, a representative of  Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose.

On Aug. 19, the DHS published a 14-page report revealing more than 32,000 unaccompanied children did not attend their immigration hearings between the fiscal years of 2019 and 2023.

What’s more, nearly 300,000 of these kids that came across the southern border alone never even got a court date whatsoever.

Essentially, Border Patrol doesn’t have anything to do with these young children.

That’s 300,000 unaccounted for children in the US today — in the last four years!

As Drew Hernandez says, “The Open Border Massacre under the failed leadership of Kamala Harris has led to the largest human and child trafficking operation in world history.”

Biden Is Helping Netanyahu Attack Iran – and Risking the Lives of US Troops in the Process

President Joe Biden’s decision to deploy the THAAD advanced missile defense system to Israel, along with roughly 100 US service members, reinforces an undeniable reality: Israel is the country most likely to drag the US into another unnecessary war in the Middle East – and Biden is the president most likely to oblige Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war wishes.

After a year of Netanyahu repeatedly violating Biden’s ostensive red lines and acting in contradiction to the US president’s expressed wishes, there is little to suggest that Biden has seriously tried to stop Israel’s carnage in Gaza or sought to prevent Netanyahu from broadening the war. Rather, Biden’s strategy appears to have been to pace Israel’s escalations while softening its edges to avoid the inevitable international outcry and push back from becoming prohibitive. Biden is managing Israel’s war rather than ending it.

It is against this backdrop that Biden’s decision to deploy US troops and THAAD missiles in Israel is best understood. While Biden has claimed opposition to further escalation in the region, his strategy has been to solely pressure and deter the so-called “Axis of Resistance” – Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iraqi and Syrian militias, and Hamas – from taking escalatory steps while actively reducing the cost for Israel to widen the war.

Biden Says the Quiet Part Out Loud, Admits His DOJ is Working to Jail Trump After the Election

Joe Biden Tuesday evening campaigned for Kamala Harris at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 Training Center in Philadelphia.

81-year-old Biden was in really bad shape Tuesday night.

He is so far gone that when he tried to dunk on Trump he botched his line.

“She beat Trump so badly in the debate, he’s scared to death to beat her again!” Biden shouted.

This is the decline Kamala Harris covered up for years.

Biden coughed up a lung as trashed Trump and told the crowd, “we ain’t goin back.”

Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud and admitted that his DOJ is working to jail Trump after the election.

“The same guy who has three other major cases waiting for him when he loses,” Biden said referring to Jack Smith’s federal cases against Trump.

“And by the way, 34 felonies,” Biden said after he sent his DOJ hatchetman Matthew Colangelo to New York to get Trump.

“He got the sentence kicked back, but I want to watch that sentence,” Biden gleefully said hoping Trump is jailed.

Biden Has Reportedly Told Iran That Assassinating Trump Would Be “An Act Of War”

Joe Biden has reportedly instructed his National Security Council to make it clear to Iran that killing president Trump would constitute an act of war.

Fox News reports that Biden has signalled that if anything happens to Trump at the hands of airman it will trigger a US military response.

The development comes after the Trump campaign sought presidential level protection for the GOP nominee and even military protection against possible drone and missile strikes.

“We consider this a national and homeland security matter of the highest priority, and we strongly condemn Iran for these brazen threats,” National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savitt previously said in a statement.

“We have ensured that appropriate agencies are continuously and promptly providing the former president’s security detail with evolving threat information,” the statement continued.
