White House announces border agreements with Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala

The White House on Monday said it had reached agreements with Mexico and other Central American countries to step up military presence at their borders in an effort to stem migration to the U.S.

The deals with Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala come as the U.S. grapples with historic levels of migration to its southern border.

“The objective is to make it more difficult to make the journey, and make crossing the borders more more difficult,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday. “We worked with them to increase law enforcement at the border to deter the travel, which is a treacherous journey … where many lose their lives.”

It’s unclear exactly when the U.S. reached the agreements with the three countries, with Psaki only saying they were signed in recent weeks. But her announcement comes on the heels of multiple trips by various administration officials to the region.

Biden’s Deputy Energy Sec Spoke For Chinese Communist Party.

President Biden’s Deputy Secretary of Energy David Turk spoke at a Chinese Communist Party-sponsored energy conference and gave an exclusive interview to a state-run media outlet where he praised the communist country’s efforts in energy development.

Turk, also an alum of the Obama administration, was the Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in 2018 at the time of the conference. The 2018 China International Energy Industry Expo (CIEI) was hosted in the city of Taiyuan and was “established with the approval of the State Council” and “jointly sponsored” by two Chinese government entities: the Ministry of Commerce and the Shanxi provincial government.  

The event boasts it is”the only state-level, international and professional exhibition in the energy industry field approved by the State Council.” “With the instruction spirit of “striving to be the vanguard of national energy revolution”, ” in accordance with the new concept of innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing actively, the fair aims to become the a new platform for international energy exchange and cooperation,” a summary adds.

A previously unreported article from China Global Television Network (CGTN) reveals that Turk “delivered a speech on the future trends of global energy supply and consumption.”“He says China’s switch to a new economic model and a cleaner energy mix is driving global trends,” the summary continues.

Biden administration offers four month paid leave to federal employees who take in migrant children

The Biden administration has offered thousands of federal employees four months of paid leave if they’ll volunteer to take in migrant children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

The administration emailed the federal workers asking for help with Unaccompanied Alien Children, or UACs, according to The New York Times.

“The desperate plea landed this week in the email inboxes of employees in government agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and NASA: Will you consider taking a four-month paid leave from your job to help care for migrant children in government-run shelters packed with new arrivals at the border?” The Times reported.

“The request to much of the federal work force came from the Department of Health and Human Services, which is at the heart of a frantic effort by the Biden administration to keep up with a surge in young people crossing the southwestern border hoping to reunite with relatives already in the United States,” the paper wrote.

Biden’s American Jobs Plan could cost taxpayers about $666,000 per job created

President Joe Biden’s proposed $2 trillion American Jobs Plan could end up costing taxpayers more than $666,666 per job created.

The Washington Post gave Biden “two Pinocchios” for saying the American Jobs Plan, his infrastructure and jobs proposal, will create 19 million jobs. Both Biden and his Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg have made the 19 million jobs claim. The source of the statement is a Moody’s analysis, which CNN pointed out had estimated the U.S. economy would add about “16.3 million jobs over the same period if the infrastructure proposal does not get passed.”

Subtracting Moody’s 16.3 million figure from Biden’s 19 million projection would equal 2.7 million net jobs created by the infrastructure plan. Rounding up to 3 million jobs and dividing by $2 trillion equals $666,000 per job. If the jobs plan leads to 2.7 million jobs created, the cost to taxpayers would be $740,740.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said that House Democrats hope to draft the formal legislation for the American Jobs Plan by May and finalize it by July 4. The White House fact sheet about the plan includes a description of key parts of the proposal but does not list the specific infrastructure projects the bill would fund. 

Democrats are considering using budget reconciliation to move the bill through Congress to avoid the filibuster in the Senate. Democrats used that strategy for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that Biden signed last month.

Biden’s ATF Pick Is Conspiracy Nut ‘Unhinged From Reality’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson dismantled President Joe Biden over his serial false statements regarding gun crime in America during a Rose Garden speech Thursday in which he announced several new executive actions against firearms.

But Carlson saved some of his most venomous criticism for the man Biden has picked to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, David Chipman, whom the host described as “a conspiracy nut” and exactly the wrong person to run that particular agency.

Chipman, Carlson noted, made the comments last year regarding the federal government’s 1993 siege of the Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas, which was eventually burned to the ground due to actions taken by the FBI and ATF. Chipman claimed that Davidians used .50 caliber rifles to shoot down two FBI helicopters, which is absolutely untrue.

“At Waco, cult members used 2 .50 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters. Point, it is true we are fortunate they are not used in crime more often,” Chipman stated in response to a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” event.

Davidians did reportedly shot at and damage three government helicopters, but none of them were shot down and no federal agents were hurt.

Turning to the president’s newest anti-gun executive actions, “to enforce them, Joe Biden has nominated a man who is unhinged from reality: David Chipman,” Carlson said on his show on Thursday.

“Who is David Chipman? Well, he is a conspiracy nut for one thing.”

“In 1993, the ATF killed dozens of innocent children and at least one pregnant woman for no obvious reason. It’s one of the worst things that federal agents have ever done in this country,” the Fox News host said, noting that four ATF agents were killed along with 82 Branch Davidians.

“If you’re taking over the ATF, maybe you could apologize for that. But no, David Chipman lied about it and then attacked the dead.”
