Former Biden Advisor Claims “The First Amendment Is Out of Control,” Hinders Government Action

Even the New York Times looks like it’s treading somewhat lightly while publishing articles aimed at dismantling the very concept of the First Amendment.

An opinion piece penned by an Obama and Biden administration adviser, Tim Wu, is therefore labeled as a “guest essay.” But was it the author, or the newspaper, who decided on the title? Because it is quite scandalous.

“The First Amendment is Out of Control” – that’s the title.

Meanwhile, many believe that attacks on this speech-protecting constitutional amendment are what’s actually out of control these days.

Wu takes a somewhat innovative route to argue against free speech: he painstakingly frames it as concern that the universally mistrusted Big Tech might be abusing it, with the latest Supreme Court ruling regarding Texas and Florida laws, (ab)used as an example.

When the government colludes with mighty entities like major social platforms – the First Amendment becomes the primary recourse to defend speech now expressed in public square forums forged through the pervasiveness of the internet.

So despite Wu’s effort to make his message seem unbiased, the actual takeaways are astonishing: one is that the First Amendment is an obstacle for the government to protect citizens (for being invoked as a tool restraining censorship?)

But this means that the First Amendment, designed to protect citizens from government censorship, is doing its job.

In the same vein, contrary to the sentiment of this “essay,” the amendment is there not to protect “national security” – nor does free speech undermine that, in a democracy.

White House Promise to Lower Housing Costs Will End in Disaster

The Democrats claim that if Joe Biden were reelected, he would lower housing costs. However, there is no way for the government to reduce housing costs other than by getting out of the private housing market.

Most tools available to politicians for lowering housing costs involve a forced transfer of wealth from taxpayers to tax consumers.

These tools violate private property rights and exacerbate the problem by causing shortages or driving prices up.

The one policy that could effectively reduce housing prices—getting the government out of the housing market—would never be proposed by a Democrat administration.

Cutting regulation and taxes could reduce new house prices by approximately 23.8%. All other tools at their disposal would be destructive.

Rent control is often the first policy proposed to address housing issues, popular with voters wanting lower rents. However, it increases demand for rentals while decreasing supply. For example, the average US rental is $1,987 per month.

If someone offered you $100 a month to rent your spare bedroom, you’d refuse. But if they offered $10,000, you’d consider it. Thus, as rental prices rise, supply increases.

Conversely, if the government capped rent at $100, you wouldn’t rent out your spare bedroom, demonstrating that lower prices reduce supply.

Price caps on home sales are another proposed idea, but they generally gain no traction.

Aside from being a significant violation of private property laws, they would cause housing shortages and threaten the entire economy.

Prominent Democrat Donor Unleashes On Biden; “We’re In F**k City”

A major donor to the Democratic Party has torched Joe Biden, declaring that “we are in fuck city,” and noting that other prominent donors are moving their money into the Congress and Senate races.

Ari Emanuel, the CEO of Endeavor, which owns the UFC and WWE, made the comments during the Aspen Ideas Festival, noting that Biden “said he was gonna run for one term and he was doing it to restore democracy. He now runs for a second term. That’s the first bit of malarkey, as he would say.”

Emanuel continued, “His cohorts have told us that he’s healthy for over a year, and I think it was two weeks ago, there was an article in the Wall Street Journal.”

“I had a father who died at 92 but at 81, I took away his car. It’s a very simple test for me. If you were driving from downtown Beverly Hills to Malibu, would you want Biden to do it at night?” he further posited.

Emanuel further charged that Biden is “telling us malarkey, his people are telling us malarkey, and we’re in a very bad problem.”

Then came the kicker.

“I talked to a bunch of big donors, and they’re moving all their money to Congress and the Senate,” the CEO stated, adding “He gave us a bunch of malarkey, and I’m really pissed. We all should be really pissed.”

“He is not the candidate anymore. This is a legal issue now,” Emanuel insisted, adding that removing Biden is tricky legally in some states, and suggesting that it could be done if the campaign money dries up.

Emanuel concluded by declaring “It’s a legal issue now… but we’re in fuck city.”

Biden’s Real Legacy Will Be As Silencer Of Speech

Happy birthday, America. 

Now, shut up. 

That’s the greeting card President Joe Biden and his merry band of deep staters should send to U.S. citizens after spending the better part of the past four years bludgeoning the First Amendment. From “Disinformation czars” to tongue-cutting gag orders on political enemies, the Biden years will be remembered for unrivaled attacks on primary rights. 

As Jonathan Turley writes in his new book, The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage, Joe Biden is “the most anti-free speech president since John Adams.”

“He has created an unprecedented system of censorship through financial support and his public statements. So the idea that he is really the symbol of constitutional fealty is really alarming, it’s so detached from reality,” the attorney, law professor, columnist, and popular television analyst recently said on Fox News Radio’s “Brian Kilmeade Show.”  

Criminalizing Criticism

Turley isn’t spinning hyperbole. Adams’ wholehearted support of the Sedition Act saw a sweeping attack on free speech and freedom of the press at the dawn of the republic. Political enemies were arrested and sent to prison for criticizing the government.  

One of the “most dramatic” victims of the law was a representative from Vermont, Matthew Lyon, who was imprisoned for speaking out against President Adams’ “unbounded thirst for ridiculous pomp, foolish adulation, and self avarice.” He also featured such rhetoric in his campaign speeches.  

Lyon won reelection — from his jail cell.

White House Caught in Lie After Dementia Joe Biden Lets Slip He Had Medical Checkup After Debate; KJP Said Doctors Had Not Examined Biden

Joe Biden let slip he had been given a checkup a few days after last Thursday’s debate debacle when he spoke to a Wednesday night White House meeting of Democrat governors concerned about Biden’s candidacy. Earlier in the day White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre hold told reporters that Biden had not been examined by White House doctors since February.

Politico reported on Biden’s admission at the meeting with the governors, “When a gov asked @POTUS tonight how he’s feeling, he told them he’d just gotten a check-up and is fine, per 3 people w/ knowledge of the meeting. He had a brief exam days after the debate bc of his cold.”

Earlier Wednesday Jean Pierre said Biden had not been examined by a doctor.

Biden’s FDA rushed COVID-19 vaccine approval for children despite experts’ appeals for more time to study negative effects

The Biden administration pressured medical professionals to rush approval of the COVID-19 vaccine for children before there was sufficient testing to ascertain its safety, experts have testified, and when top FDA vaccine experts asked for more time to study the side effects of the jabs in young adults and children, they were fired.

This is according to testimony before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust this week looking into the politicization of the FDA during the pandemic.

The subcommittee also released an interim staff report about the topic, “Politics, Private Interests, and the Biden Administration’s Deviation from Agency Regulations in the COVID-19 Pandemic,” which explained how the Biden administration pressured the FDA to work outside of its regulatory authority to cut corners and change procedures to push through authorization of the Pfizer jab and booster shots, which effectively enabled them to issue vaccine mandates even as concerns persisted about vaccine injury.

During the hearing, Chairman Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky) read testimony from the former director of the FDA’s vaccine office, Dr. Marion Gruber. She told the FDA’s top vaccine regulator, Dr. Peter Marks, that the vaccine needed to undergo more testing in younger people, especially males aged 12 to 17. However, Dr. Marks reportedly brushed off her concerns.

Massie recounted: “Right when they were getting the warnings that myocarditis and pericarditis are real and serious side effects to the vaccine, the top scientists at FDA had already agreed to compress the schedule as much as possible, right when they got the message that there were serious side effects.”

‘President’ Kamala Harris is ‘the future of the Democratic Party,’ White House says

Vice President Kamala Harris is “the future of the Democratic Party,” the White House declared Wednesday as leading Democrats and their allies position themselves to replace President Biden as the party’s nominee if the 81-year-old president steps aside.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pronounced Harris as Biden’s political heir, at one point referring to her as “president,” when asked about his 2020 campaign remark that he would be a “transitional” candidate.

“One of the reasons why he picked the vice president, President [sic] Kamala Harris, is because she is indeed the future of the party,” Jean-Pierre said at her regular briefing.

Harris, 59, faces stiff potential competition for the Democratic presidential nomination, including from Govs. Gavin Newsom of California, 56, and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, 52, if Biden steps aside following his disastrous debate performance last week against former President Donald Trump.

Some leading Democrats fear that Harris, whom they pan as awkward in public engagements, would boost Trump’s chances even further — though a poll released Tuesday by CNN showed Harris trailing Trump by 2 percentage points nationally, versus Biden’s six-point deficit.

How Jill Biden’s top adviser now ‘controls everything’ despite claims of sexual harassment, bullying and fixation with ‘size of male staffers’ endowments’

After Thursday’s disastrous CNN debate, President Joe Biden and the First Lady Jill tried to get ahead of the inevitable backlash, glossing over the debacle with a flurry of soft-ball publicity appearances.

‘I think we did well,’ Biden said, before straining a smile as he was hammered with follow-up questions about ‘concerns’ over his competency.
