LA schools superintendent raided by FBI illegally overstayed visa before gaining legal status

As attention has turned to Los Angeles Unified School District superintendent Albert Carvalho in the wake of an FBI raid at his residence and the school district’s headquarters, a clip has resurfaced showing Carvalho admitting that he was an “undocumented migrant” in the United States.

In April 2025, Carvalho said in a speech, “I would be a hypocrite if I did not fight for those who today are facing conditions that over 40 years I faced as an undocumented migrant to this country.”

He later added that he came to the US at the age of 17, saying, “Education made me and saved me. I became a teacher, a principal, a superintendent leading the nation’s largest districts, four times selected as national superintendent of the year. Do not underestimate the power of the immigrant child who may very well become an adult who does well and good by America.”

Per the New York Times, Carvalho grew up in Portugal, and described growing up in a “poor environment,” being raised alongside his five siblings, two of whom died young, by parents with education that did not extend past the third grade.

After graduating from high school in the country, Carvalho came to the US on a visitor visa, which he overstayed and became illegally present in the country. He first worked as a dishwasher in Manhattan and eventually ended up in Miami, where he worked at restaurants, farms, and construction sites.

“Back in the mid-’80s, it was not difficult to find a job without documents,” Carvalho said. “They worked you more hours for less pay.”

He spent two years in the country illegally but eventually secured a student visa. He also obtained a Social Security number and legal work authorization. Per Governing, he eventually became a US citizen.

Democrat Congressman Caught Smuggling & Harboring Illegal Alien In Their Office?

Woke Rep. Seth Moulton, a Massachusetts Democrat, invited 19-year-old Brazilian-born immigrant Marcelo Gomes da Silva, who was previously detained by ICE after his student visa expired, to attend President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address as his guest. Gomes took his seat in the House visitors’ gallery, seemingly used as a political prop.

Midway through Trump’s speech, however, the Department of Homeland Security posted on X that Moulton was “planning to bring illegal alien Marcelo Gomes da Silva” and declared that he “has no right to be in our nation” and is subject to arrest and removal, echoing an earlier DHS message accusing Democrats of “planning to bring illegal aliens as guests to the State of the Union” and “putting illegal aliens above the safety of American citizens.” After seeing the post and noting the heavy law-enforcement presence in the chamber, Moulton’s chief of staff Neesha (also reported as Nisha) Suarez quietly escorted Gomes out of the gallery “out of an abundance of caution” and brought him back to the congressman’s office.

From there, the “special guest” watched the remainder of the address on television. Moulton has said he invited Gomes because he sees him as exactly the kind of young person the United States should be investing in, while DHS officials have insisted in interviews and statements that Gomes “is still an illegal alien and subject to removal proceedings.”

The clash unfolded against a broader backdrop in which several Democratic lawmakers — including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Sen. Dick Durbin, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, Rep. Mike Levin, Sen. John Hickenlooper and Rep. Robert Menendez Jr. — invited so-called “immigrants” caught up in enforcement operations or lacking legal status as their State of the Union guests, prompting DHS to circulate lists of what it called “illegal aliens” among their invitees. Conservative outlets and X accounts amplified DHS’s language, highlighting the agency’s claim that Democrats were favoring “illegal aliens” over public safety and praising the administration’s vow that such immigrants would be found, arrested and “never return.”

Trump Admin Plots To FORCE Banks Into Immigration Enforcement

President Trump’s administration is ramping up its assault on illegal immigration by eyeing a bold new tactic: enlisting banks to verify the citizenship of every customer.

This potential executive order would mandate financial institutions to collect proof like passports from both new and existing account holders, effectively cutting off undocumented migrants from the banking system they’ve exploited under open-border policies.

It’s a commonsense step to safeguard American resources, but watch as Democrats and their corporate allies howl in protest – the same crowd that fights tooth and nail against voter ID requirements won’t back this either.

The move was first reported by the Wall St Journal, with a CNN segment noting “Sources do tell CNN that the industry is concerned here because they’re worried that this kind of action, it could almost compel them to be part of the administration’s immigration crackdown.”

The policy would expand on existing know-your-customer rules, which focus on preventing money laundering but ignore citizenship status entirely.

Banks currently don’t prohibit non-citizens from opening accounts, allowing illegals to stash funds siphoned from taxpayer-supported programs.

Under the proposed order, institutions might have to retroactively demand documents like passports, potentially closing accounts for those who can’t prove U.S. citizenship.

Biden Judge Rules Trump’s Policy of Deporting Illegal Aliens to ‘Third-Party Countries’ is Unconstitutional

A federal judge on Wednesday ruled that President Trump’s policy of deporting illegal aliens to ‘third-party countries’ is unconstitutional.

The Trump Administration has been deporting illegal aliens to countries where they are not citizens.

US District Judge Brian Murphy, a Biden appointee, sided with a group of illegal aliens who filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration and said that the Trump Administration cannot deport illegals to ‘third countries.’

Judge Murphy halted his decision for 15 days so the Trump Administration can appeal.

CBS News reported:

A federal judge ruled Wednesday that a Department of Homeland Security policy that allows immigration authorities to deport migrants to “third countries” that are not their own, without first giving them notice or the opportunity to object, is unlawful.

U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy in Massachusetts sided with a group of noncitizens who filed a class-action lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security last year. He ruled that the Trump administration’s policy regarding third-country removals must be set aside.

Murphy paused his ruling for 15 days to give the Trump administration time to appeal.

Under the policy issued last March and reaffirmed last July, immigration officers did not need to give notice or an opportunity for migrants to contest their removal to third countries, so long as the government had received word from that country that deportees would not be persecuted or tortured.

Third countries are those other than the ones designated on an immigrant’s order of removal.

Far-Left Activists Are Encouraging and Radicalizing K–12 Students In Nationwide Anti-ICE Walkouts

A growing number of K–12 students are taking part in walkouts and protests against federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations across the nation, raising questions about the activists radicalizing them.

The walkouts, which many school administrators say are a legitimate exercise of the students’ First Amendment rights, have seen increasing incidents of violence and lawlessness, ranging from beatings and scuffles to vandalism.

Similar protests and calls to “melt ICE” have popped up across the nation in communities, from Colorado to Texas to Virginia, where hundreds of students have been suspended for leaving campus during what school officials have called “student-led” walkouts.

The New York Post reports that it’s not just school officials who are facilitating these protests with far-left activists encouraging kids to skip class and “rebel against” ICE agents across major West Coast cities.

The activist group Dare To Struggle instructed students from six downtown Los Angeles area schools to meet at the “Federal Building by 2pm” to protest deportations.

CNN Contributor Shows Our Media Has Nothing but Contempt for Angel Families

One of the recurring themes of President Trump’s Angel Families remembrance ceremony yesterday was how the Democrats and their media allies have ignored Angel Families and their plight for years.

White House Director of Communications and Assistant to the President Steven Cheung blasted the media yesterday for not covering the heartbreaking statements of the Americans who lost loved ones to criminal illegal aliens, calling it “sickening and horrific.”

Cheung specifically called out CNN and MS NOW for refusing to broadcast the ceremony.

But CNN took it a step further and treated these Angel Families with pure, unadulterated contempt.

“I think what…we’re actually getting a little preview of kind of the theme of his address later today at the White House when he hosts the so-called Angel Moms, so really focusing on immigration as he kicks off his big State of the Union week,” said Seung Ming Kim on CNN.

“You Killed Americans!” – Ilhan Omar Loses It, Screams at President Trump During SOTU Speech

Muslima Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) shouted at President Trump during his State of the Union Address on Tuesday evening.

The camera panned over to Ilhan Omar as President Trump called out Somali pirates and fraud rings in Minnesota.

Omar was on the verge of tears as President Trump called out Somalia for its corruption.

“If you agree with this statement, stand up to show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens,” Trump said.

Republicans stood up and cheered while many Democrats remained seated.

President Trump lambasted the Democrats for refusing to stand for protecting American citizens.

“[Democrats] are blocking the removal of [illegal alien drug lords and rapists] out of our country and you should be ashamed of yourselves!” Trump said.

“You have killed Americans!” Omar shouted.

“You should be ashamed!” Omar added.

Fellow squad member Rashida Tlaib also joined Ilhan Omar and shouted at President Trump.

Radical Socialists AOC and Zohran Mamdani Team Up to Promote FREE DAYCARE for Illegal Aliens in All-Spanish Video — ‘America Last’ Agenda on Full Display!

Outrageous! Just when you thought the radical left couldn’t spit in the face of hard-working American citizens any harder, they find a new way to prioritize lawbreakers over taxpayers.

Radical socialists Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani have teamed up to push free daycare for illegal aliens, using American taxpayer dollars.

The duo released a video entirely in Spanish, with English subtitles, shamelessly instructing illegal immigrants on how to enroll their kids in NYC’s 3-K and Pre-K programs, regardless of immigration status.

The video, posted by the NYC Mayor’s Office, features Mamdani admitting his Spanish “isn’t the best” before handing off to AOC to deliver the sales pitch.

With American and NYC flags in the background, as if to mock our sovereignty, they emphasize that “any parent in New York City, regardless of occupation, income, or immigration status, is eligible to register their children.”

Mamdani goes on to highlight how families have been ‘suffering deep financial ruin’ from childcare costs up to $26,000 per year, but conveniently forgets that these programs are bankrolled by citizens who follow the law.

Pro-Amnesty GOP Candidate For Texas-19 Proclaimed “My Heart Is In Mexico,” Attacked Trump

Abraham Enriquez — who is running for Congress as a Republican for Texas-19 in the March 3 primary — said on his podcast that his “heart is in Mexico” (51:50 mark).

It’s an odd thing to say if you’re claiming to be “America First” and seeking to represent American citizens in the United States Congress, but perhaps not so odd for Enriquez, a longtime advocate for so-called “comprehensive immigration reform.”

Townhall reported last month that Enriquez once tweeted support for Rep. Maria Salazar’s (R-FL) Dignity Act, an amnesty bill that would provide a path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.

He also supported the Bipartisan Border Solutions Act, which the Heritage Foundation said “would simply increase the U.S. capacity for processing illegal aliens in order to release them into the interior of the country, acting as a direct incentive for yet more illegal immigration.”

After launching his campaign, Enriquez deleted his pro-amnesty tweet advocating for the bills.

On his podcast in December 2020, Enriquez discussed his Hispanic heritage and described how his grandparents live in Mexico, saying he travels there frequently and that his ties to the country are inseparable from his identity.

“We should be proud of saying that we’re Latinos,” Enriquez said, arguing that Americans “refusing not to understand my values and my culture, is refusing to understand my story and accepting my story as an addition to the American story.”

That same year, Enriquez criticized Donald Trump in the anti-Trump magazine The Atlantic.

Referring to Trump’s 2015 comments that Mexico is sending people to the U.S. who are “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people,” Enriquez said, “Did he word it correctly? No, but he did emphasize that, you know, it wasn’t all Mexicans.”

In 2024, Enriquez joined the board of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino (FRIENDS).

The organization has since promoted radical transgender political activists and drag queens, including Sylvia Rivera and José Julio Sarria, the latter of whom is known as The Grand Mere Absolute Empress I de San Francisco.

FRIENDS also reposted last month a statement by Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto attacking the Trump Administration, falsely claiming ICE agents “are oppressing Americans” and “brutalizing U.S. citizens and law-abiding immigrants.”

Curiously, Enriquez failed to disclose his position on the FRIENDS board when he filed his Financial Disclosure Report as a federal candidate in December 2025. This is a major ethics violation and raises questions about what else Enriquez is attempting to hide from Texas voters.

The Incremental Loss of Freedom

Last week, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which covers Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, ruled that the problem of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. is so acute and vast, and the Fourth Amendment so burdensome and time-consuming, that it should cut some constitutional corners.

The federal judiciary is supposed to be in the business of protecting the rights of individuals from infringement by Congress or the president or the states. In this case, the court saw fit to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, to trample the sacred American right to be left alone.

How sacred? Well, James Madison, who was largely responsible for crafting the new Constitution and stewarding it through the states, realized a few years later — after Congress created the First National Bank — that the government would need some restraints.

The restraints were cataloged in the Bill of Rights. The Fourth Amendment, which protects privacy, has some of the most precise Madisonian language in the Constitution in order to enshrine privacy and protect it from the government.

To prevent the new government from doing what British soldiers and agents had done to the colonists, the Fourth Amendment prohibits general warrants which had authorized the bearer to search wherever he wished and seize whatever he found.

The amendment recognizes that our rights come from our humanity — not from the government — and they are inalienable unless and until we give them up by violating someone else’s natural rights.

This concept of rights as integral to humanity was articulated by Aristotle, refined by Augustine, codified by Aquinas, modernized by John Locke, embraced by the Continental Congress and Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence, and made part of the Constitution in the Ninth Amendment by Madison and the ratifiers.

The Fourth Amendment requires that if the government wants to search or seize any “persons, houses, papers, (or) effects,” it needs to be investigating a crime and it must have probable cause to believe that in those papers, houses or effects or on those persons is evidence of criminal behavior.

Then the government must present its probable cause to a judge under oath. If the judge agrees that the presentation does constitute probable cause of crime, the judge can sign either a search or an arrest warrant; and the warrant must particularly describe the places to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.
