Homeland Security hits back at claims ICE agent at Martha’s Vineyard has ‘white supremacist’ tattoo

The Department of Homeland Security has hit back at claims that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent has a “white supremacist” tattoo after footage circulated online during an arrest operation in Martha’s Vineyard.

An ICE officer was spotted on the Massachusetts island last week with what appeared to be a Valknot tattoo, a Nordic symbol of the god Odin.

Charlie Giordano confronted the ICE agents and posted the footage on Instagram, the Martha’s Vineyard Times first reported.

“When reviewing the images I made of ‘ICE Agents’ on Martha’s Vineyard yesterday, I noticed several had the ‘Valknot’ tattooed on their arms,” Giordano posted on Instagram. “It’s a symbol often used by white supremacy groups.”

DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin characterized the claim as a “smear” in a post on X Tuesday and said the officer was “a combat veteran.”

“His tattoo is a tribute to fallen warriors —a pretty common tattoo in the military among combat veterans who embrace the Nordic Viking warrior culture,” McLaughlin said.

“Attempting to smear this ICE officer and pretend his tattoo is meant to be a tribute to White Supremacy is false, pathetic, and insulting to veterans.”

Democrat councilwoman BLOCKS arrest of migrant who beat up her pregnant daughter

Police bodycam footage captured the chaotic moment a Massachusetts councilwoman attempted to block the arrest of a migrant who allegedly beat up her pregnant daughter.

The intense encounter took place on May 8 in Worcester – about 50 minutes outside of Boston – when ICE agents confronted a crowd of about 25 ‘unruly’ activists as they tried to arrest Rosane Ferreira de Oliveira.

De Oliveira, a 40-year-old Brazilian national, entered the US illegally in August 2022.

While agents attempted to apprehend de Oliveira, who is accused of assaulting her pregnant 16-year-old daughter, Democrat City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj was seen grabbing ICE officers and shouting at them to ‘get out of our neighborhood.’

Following the dramatic incident, authorities said Haxhiaj  ‘incited aggression towards the police’ and ‘eventually assaulted both Worcester police and federal law enforcement officers on scene.’

The Worcester Police Patrolman’s Union also noted that the councilwoman’s ‘behavior also emboldened others to act in this manner,’ as many bystanders were seen filming the moment and also screaming at officers.

Officials have called for an ethics investigation to take place following the ordeal, as Massachusetts US Attorney Leah Foley warned that her office will look into anyone who tries to interfere with ICE operations, including elected officials.

‘This conduct poses significant public and officer safety risks. It is conduct that should be vilified rather than glorified,’ Foley said.

‘They shielded a killer’: Liberal activists prevent ICE Boston from apprehending murder suspect

If you need any more proof that leftists care more about serving their ideology than protecting their fellow man, look no further than Massachusetts.

The left has recently taken up the curious tactic of defending illegal aliens, including those suspected and convicted of heinous crimes, from immigration authorities. A recent event in the sanctuary city of Somerville is shedding light on this activity after activists “shielded a killer.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement was reportedly surveilling a suspected murderer when their operation was interrupted by activists who made a scene and forced the agents to retreat.

Bill Melugin weighed in with a comment from ICE Boston, who claim that the suspect was nearby a school.

“ICE Boston told us this happened in the sanctuary city of Somerville on Thursday. The murderer was close to a school. An activist later posted a video, boasting that they got ICE to leave the area, and that they were ‘trying to kidnap kids from school’. They shielded a killer,” Melugin wrote.

ICE arrests illegal immigrant who faced no jail time for killing Colorado woman

Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested a 16-year-old illegal immigrant from Colombia who received no jail time after his reckless driving killed 24-year-old Kaitlyn Weaver in Aurora, Colorado.

He was driving around 90 mph in a residential area when the crash occurred, police said.

In lieu of jail time, he received probation and community service.

“For the @DA18th justice is no jail time and probation for this criminal alien who killed a young woman while driving more than 90mph. For ICE, justice is arrest and removal,” ICE Denver wrote on the social media platform X. “A 16-year-old citizen of Colombia, with a conviction for reckless driving resulting in death was arrested by ICE Denver officers last week and will remain in ICE custody pending an immigration hearing.”

Progressive Nashville Mayor Investigated for Obstructing ICE Agents

Democrat Freddie O’Connell, who has positioned himself as a progressive mayor of Nashville, Tennessee, is currently under investigation for allegedly obstructing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles announced on Thursday that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and congressional judiciary committees are investigating whether Mayor O’Connell used federal tax dollars “in criminal enterprise” to obstruct ICE operations while allegedly aiding and abetting illegal migrants. As Breitbart News reported, O’Connell made “waves nationally after making Metro Immigration Interactions public”:

According to WZTV, the public information includes “federal immigration authorities’ names.” The Democrat maintains he is doing this as a form of “transparency,” but Republicans are warning that this fundamentally puts agents in danger.

“@freddieoconnell is putting ICE agents and law enforcement in harm’s way by releasing their names for criminal gangs to see,” Blackburn said in a social media post, explaining why the move is so risky.

“These men and women have risked their lives to make our communities safer by removing gangs, rapists, and other heinous criminals from our communities. Shame on him,” she continued.

In a Monday press conference at the Tennessee State capital, Ogles claimed that the mayor has been aiding “murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, sexual predators, child traffickers.”

“I will always stand on the rule of law and with ICE. And I don’t just stand with ICE; I’ll stand in front of ICE because we the people have had enough,” Ogles said. “Due to the remarks of Freddie O’Connell and the potential for aiding and abetting illegal immigration, the Homeland Security and the judiciary committees will be conducting an investigation into the mayor of Nashville, his conduct and whether or not federal dollars have been used in criminal enterprise.”

According to the New York Post, ICE agents “working with the Tennessee Highway Patrol had busted nearly 200 immigrants — many criminals with gang affiliations — in a joint operation earlier this month.”

“After the arrests, O’Connell signed an executive order requiring city departments to inform the mayor’s office within a certain time frame after communicating with federal immigration authorities,” noted the NY Post.

Massachusetts Governor Throws a Fit After ICE Rounds up Illegals on Islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard

ICE conducted raids on the liberal Massachusetts islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard this week, rounding up around forty people for deportation.

It’s amazing to see this after people from Martha’s Vineyard lost their minds a few years ago when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent a few dozen illegals to the island. They couldn’t get rid of those people fast enough.

The state’s Democrat Governor Maura Healey is not happy about this. She is demanding more information from ICE, which is ironic because if she was willing to work with them, she would probably know a lot more about what they are doing in her state.

FOX News reports:

Blue state governor sounds off about ‘disturbing’ ICE operations on affluent liberal islands

Massachusetts Democratic Governor Maura Healey is sounding off about her frustrations with ICE’s latest operations in her state, saying she found it “disturbing” to hear about the arrests of some 40 illegal immigrants in Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

ICE, working with several other federal law enforcement agencies, conducted a series of immigration enforcement operations in Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard on Tuesday. An ICE statement said “around 40” individuals were arrested as a result of the operations, including an MS-13 gang member and at least one child sex offender.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia Hyde said that “ICE and our federal partners made a strong stand for prioritizing public safety by arresting and removing illegal aliens from our New England neighborhoods” and that “operations like this highlight the strong alliances that ICE shares with our fellow law enforcement partners.”

Healey, however, took a very different tone about the operations. The governor said that “it was very disturbing, needless to say, to wake up to that news about that activity on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket,” according to the Boston Herald.

“Local police chiefs have zero information about what’s happening in their communities. We at the state level have zero information about what’s happening in communities. And that needs to change. We need to get answers. We need to get clarification from ICE,” said Healey.

Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver appeared before a judge on Wednesday after the Justice Department charged her with federal crimes for assaulting ICE agents.

Rep. McIver appeared virtually from DC. She was released on her own recognizance and did not have to post bail.

The judge ordered McIver to surrender her firearms and said she cannot travel outside of the US.

CBS News reported:

McIver was in Washington for the appearance. She was read her rights and released on her own recognizance.

If convicted, faces eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

McIver is due to appear in court in person on June 11 for a preliminary hearing. She’s allowed to travel domestically and internationally if needed for her congressional duties, the judge said. For personal international travel, she’ll need court approval.

She was ordered to surrender any firearms she may own.

On Monday US Attorney Alina Habba announced federal charges against Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver for assaulting ICE agents.

Massachusetts City Manager Blocks Police from Working with ICE

The City Manager of Worcester, Massachusetts, has issued an executive order banning his police department and other city agencies from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Manager Eric Batista’s executive order came on the heels of the release of police body cam footage of the arrest of Rosane Ferreira-De Oliveira, who attempted to interfere in the legal actions by ICE agents.

Batista issued the order on May 16 to warn city officials and members of the city’s police department against working with ICE. The order states that “municipal employees shall not participate in an operation led by a federal agency solely for the enforcement of federal civil immigration laws.”

Employees, the order says, “shall not inquire about immigration status nor shall immigration status impact the treatment of a resident, victim, suspect, arrestee, 911 caller, or other member of the public with whom a Municipal employee has contact.”

Dem Leader Warns Any Arrests Of Colleagues For ICE Breach Would Cross His ‘Red Line’

On Tuesday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) warned against repercussions for his fellow Democrat lawmakers who clashed with federal agents at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, last week.

During an exchange with Fox News reporter Chad Pergram, Jeffries repeatedly said “they’ll find out” when pressed what might happen if the House Democrats involved in the incident were to be arrested by federal authorities or get sanctioned.

Jeffries ultimately asserted that it would be a “red line” as the questions persisted. He also took a swipe at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin, who told CNN that arresting the Democrats in question was “definitely on the table,” pending an investigation.

“It’s a red line. It’s very clear,” Jeffries said. “First of all, I think that the so-called Homeland Security spokesperson is a joke. It’s a joke. They know better than to go down that road. And it’s been made loudly and abundantly clear to the Trump administration. We’re not going to be intimidated by their tactics.”

The Daily Wire reported that Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who is running for New Jersey governor and is protesting the Delaney Hall facility, was arrested following the security breach last Friday. Alina Habba, the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, said he “committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center.”

DHS said two House Democrats who joined Baraka that day — New Jersey Reps. Bonnie Watson-Coleman and Rob Menendez — “stormed the gate and broke into” the facility.

While the New Jersey Democrats insisted they were at Delaney Hall to conduct legitimate supervision, McLaughlin said in a post on X, “Members of Congress cannot break the law in the name of ‘oversight.’ All members & staff need to comply with facility rules, procedures, and instructions from ICE personnel on site. INCLUDING 24 hour notice.”

DHS Releases Visitation Guidelines to Shut Down Democrat Narrative — Says Members of Congress “CANNOT Break the Law” at ICE Facilities

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has officially released a damning set of visitation guidelines for members of Congress and their staff visiting ICE detention centers — and it’s sending a loud and clear message to the left: you are not above the law.

This comes after Democrat members of Congress and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka stormed the ICE facility in Newark on Friday.

Democrat Reps. LaMonica McIver, Bob Menendez, and Bonnie Watson Coleman were all fighting for the release of dangerous criminal aliens.

Newark Mayor Baraka was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, but the Democrat lawmakers who engaged in riotous behavior have not been charged yet.

Democrat Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman ran to CNN to defend the criminal acts at the ICE facility.

The Department of Homeland Security responded to Rep. Bonnie’s lies by posting bodycam footage of the violent altercation as New Jersey Democrats stormed the ICE facility.

“Let’s check the tape,” the DHS said.
