Activists Linked to George Soros Are Training Jurors So They Can Help ‘Marginalized’ Defendants

A judicial activist group linked to George Soros’ activist groups is coming under scrutiny for what they call “juror teach-in” sessions to protect “those with marginalized identities.”

Free DC, a Washington-based group which describes itself as a “fiscally sponsored special project” of a progressive nonprofit called Community Change and Community Change Action, will be hosting a Jan. 12 training session which, from its description, sounds suspiciously close to a primer on jury nullification.

The session is being co-hosted with another progressive group, Harriet’s Wildest Dreams.

“We’ll discuss what it really means to serve on a jury and how we can use that role to protect our people especially those with marginalized identities who are disproportionately targeted by the criminal legal system,” the event description reads.

“Jury duty is not just a civic responsibility; it’s a powerful tool for ensuring fairness and justice. As community members, our participation in juries is vital to safeguarding the rights of those who are most vulnerable to systemic biases.

“By serving on a jury, we can influence outcomes and help create a more equitable legal process.”

As of Thursday, the session is “open to everyone,” although that may change given the attention the event has suddenly received.

As the New York Post reported, Free DC’s funding can be traced back to several large progressive philanthropies, including Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

The OSF’s $20 million donation to Free DC initially came under scrutiny in August when the group took an active role in fighting President Donald Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops in the nation’s capital after several high-profile violent crimes.

“‘Do not obey in advance’ and ‘Take up space’ are among Free DC’s ‘guiding principles,’ and the group urges supporters to ‘go outside at 8:00 PM and bang pots and pans, sing, chant, or make noise for five minutes’ every night ‘of this occupation,’” the Post reported at the time.

“Free DC has scheduled multiple events since Monday’s anti-Trump protest, including a ‘Cop Watch Training,’ suggesting further protests are planned amid Trump’s effort to make DC the ‘safest, cleanest and most beautiful cities anywhere in the world’ – by ramping up law enforcement efforts and removing homeless encampments from public places.”

After the shooting of two National Guard troops in the capital in November, allegedly by an Afghani migrant, the group again came under scrutiny for a problematic social media post.

Far-left billionaire George Soros and family donated $71,000 to Trump-hating NY AG Letitia James

Far-left billionaire kingmaker George Soros and his family members have poured more than $71,000 into state Attorney General Letitia James’ campaign coffers since 2019 — including $31,000 to help the longtime adversary of President Trump get re-elected next year.

The contributions include $18,000 from Soros in July 2024 and another $13,000 from his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Soros, in May, records show. Soros and his clan also gave James another $40,000 dating back to 2019 for previous campaigns.

And the windfall doesn’t even include indirect support James receives through far-left organizations Soros helps bankroll, including millions to the Working Families Party.

Soros’ ultra-woke grant-making network Open Society Foundation has doled out $23.7 million to the WFP since 2016 through its fundraising arm Working Families Organization Inc., and he and his family members showered the New York branch with another $865,000 in direct donations since 2018, records show.

James’ relationship with the WFP is all but unprecedented in New York.

Group Asks DOJ to Look Into Soros-Backed Virginia Prosecutor Accused of Leniency for Illegal Immigrant Suspects

The Gateway Pundit reported on questionable decisions by the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office led by Attorney Steve Descano.

Now, a pro-police organization is asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to look into accusations that the Soros-backed Descano is being unfairly lenient when it comes to illegal immigrant suspects.

Marvin Morales-Ortez, 23, an illegal from El Salvador, who already had a lengthy criminal record, was released from custody after the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office dropped a case against him for charges of allegedly brandishing a gun and assaulting and injuring someone.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin reported he was then released back onto the streets after an ICE detainer was ignored.

The next day, it is alleged he is responsible for the murder of a man found dead in a home in Reston, Va., according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) told Fox News Digital that it would ask the Trump Justice Department to utilize the law enforcement “pattern-or-practice” provision, under 34 USC 12601, which the Biden administration used to investigate police departments, to examine Descano’s actions.

Fox News reports:

LELDF’s request “seeks to use established federal civil-rights tools to test whether a prosecutor’s office is operating a discriminatory system that endangers the public and erodes equal justice under law,” the group’s president, Jason C. Johnson told Fox News Digital. LELDF officials will formally ask Deputy Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon to investigate Descano’s office under the same “pattern-or-practice” concerns as Biden’s DOJ had in Louisville.

The group alleged the Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office “violat[ed] the civil rights of US citizens by favoring illegal aliens and non-citizens in charging, plea bargaining, and sentencing decisions.”

They cited Descano’s “official policy” to consider “immigration consequences” when prosecuting cases.

Descano was elected in 2019 with significant financial support from the Justice and Public Safety PAC, a political action committee primarily funded by George Soros.

Soros-Backed Fairfax DA Repeatedly Dropped Charges Against an Illegal Immigrant — Now Someone’s Dead

The Democrats’ soft-on-crime, pro-illegal immigration policies are deadly. There have been far too many stories about career criminals with multiple arrests being given slaps on the wrist before they’re turned loose on our communities to rob, rape, and murder innocents.

But this story out of Reston, Virginia, takes the cake. Illegal immigrant Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez, from El Salvador, has been charged with several crimes in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Including a first-degree murder charge in 2021.

But the Soros-backed Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano entered a nolle prosequi and declined to prosecute not only that first-degree murder charge, but several more of Morales-Ortiz’s criminal offenses dating back to 2020.

Mastermind Behind ‘Disinformation Dozen’ List Took Money From Foundation Linked to Soros

An organization linked to George Soros helped fund the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) — the group that wrote the 2021 “Disinformation Dozen” list targeting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and other prominent vaccine critics.

The Washington Free Beacon first uncovered the $250,000 grant for fiscal year 2024 in a report published Monday. The Open Society Foundations — which lists the grant on its website as providing “general support” — was founded and funded by Soros and is now led by his son, Alex Soros.

The disclosure offers a rare look into CCDH’s finances. The nongovernmental organization, which has long kept its funding sources out of public view, “does not voluntarily disclose its donors,” the Free Beacon reported.

On Substack, Sayer Ji, chairman of the Global Wellness Forum and founder of GreenMedInfo, said the Soros-linked grant represents only a small part of “a web of 20+ funders, pass-throughs, hidden trusts, foreign billionaires, and U.S.-U.K. political operatives” backing CCDH.

After CCDH published its “Disinformation Dozen” list in 2021, mainstream media outlets repeatedly cited it to discredit those named — including Kennedy, then chairman of Children’s Health Defense, which he founded. Some outlets have since issued corrections.

Last year, a whistleblower leaked internal documents revealing that CCDH planned to “kill Musk’s Twitter” — now X — and launch “black ops” against Kennedy. “Black ops” refers to secret operations carried out by governments or other organizations that hide their involvement.

Jim Hoft, founder and editor of The Gateway Pundit — which CCDH and its CEO, Imran Ahmed, attempted to demonetize in 2021 — said CCDH’s link to Soros did not surprise him. Hoft said he is “thrilled that this is finally exposed,” arguing that Soros has supported “numerous anti-American protests and movements.”

Ji, who appeared on the “Disinformation Dozen” list, told The Defender that CCDH’s ties to Soros represent “far more than a simple financial disclosure — it’s the moment the curtain gets pulled back on an elaborate theater of manipulation that has been operating in plain sight, yet hidden behind layers of institutional camouflage.”

Ji said the revelations confirm that CCDH “has never operated as an authentic civil society organization.” Instead, CCDH “functions as a sophisticated influence weapon, deployed with surgical precision against those who dare challenge pharmaceutical orthodoxy and the broader control narratives of our time.”

Pediatrician Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, also named one of the so-called “Disinformation Dozen,” said, “Soros’ money seems to be in everything destructive to liberty and democracy.”

Soros funded NGO that tried to ‘kill Musk’s Twitter’ – media

A grantmaking network created by billionaire investor George Soros funded a controversial UK-based NGO which seeks to “kill” Elon Musk’s X media platform and censor conservative media, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Monday.

According to the database of Soros’ Open Society Foundation (OSF), the charity gave the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) a $250,000 grant last year “to provide general support.” While the nonprofit stipulates that its goal is to hold social media companies “accountable” for spreading hate, in practice, it has pressured advertisers to censor companies and lobbied to deplatform and cancel news organizations it found offensive, the paper said.

According to the outlet, the CCDH, founded by former Labour Party operative Imran Ahmed, has targeted conservative outlets such as The Federalist and the Daily Wire over alleged racist content. The nonprofit also reportedly tried to persuade US policymakers to create an “independent digital regulator.”

Texas man accused of child sex crimes avoids jail in plea deal with Soros-backed prosecutor: report

Texas man accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child will avoid prosecution on nine felony counts after striking a plea deal with a George Soros-backed Travis County prosecutor, according to a report.

Austin’s ABC affiliate KVUE reported that Richard Leigh Bell, 37, was indicted on nine felony charges — including one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, six counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and two counts of indecency with a child. Those charges were dropped as part of a plea deal that allowed Bell to plead guilty to one count of injury to a child, a third-degree felony.

Under the deal, Bell was sentenced to five years of deferred probation. He must register as a sex offender and is barred from contacting the victim, her family or any minors, KVUE reported. The plea included no jail time.

Outside the courtroom on Monday, the victim’s father told KVUE he was blindsided by the decision and said prosecutors Efrain De La Fuente and Lorraine Garcia failed to include him in discussions about the plea.

Explosive report claims a network of charities connected to George Soros funneled $40M to support Zohran Mamdani’s political rise in tax-dodging scheme

Zohran Mamdani’s campaign is facing explosive allegations that it benefited from tens of millions of dollars in donations funneled from George Soros-linked charities as part of an elaborate scheme that may have violated federal tax laws

The 34-year-old State Assemblyman’s team has always claimed that he rose from obscurity to become New York City‘s mayoral front-runner thanks to an organic, grassroots movement involving many small donations and hundreds of young people with backpacks canvassing on his behalf.

But the Daily Mail can reveal that that narrative is now being called into question  according to a report from a watchdog website.

The findings, from conservative investigative site White Collar Fraud, alleged that a network of tax-exempt organizations connected to billionaire financier Soros shrewdly coordinated political and ground operations to support Mamdani in a scheme that involved laundering more than $40million in charitable donations through nonprofits and redirecting them into political activity.

Soros’s group disputes the report’s findings of improprieties, saying it is ‘riddled with inaccuracies, false assumptions and misinformation’.

‘The math isn’t the only thing that doesn’t add up,’ a spokesman for the Open Society Foundation – that was founded by Soros and is now headed by his 40-year-old son Alex, told the Daily Mail.

‘The grants it cited – many of which we were earmarked for specific projects and causes elsewhere around the country as we have disclosed – were made years before the mayoral race even began.’

But White Collar Fraud investigator Sam Antar told the Daily Mail Soros-affiliated entities may have violated federal tax laws. Antar has filed 11 whistleblower complaints with the Internal Revenue Service as a result of his investigation.

City Health Officials Tied to Soros Urge Public to “Get Vaccinated”

A coalition of city public health officials with ties to pharma investor George Soros is urging the public to “get vaccinated.”

In an open letter, the Big Cities Health Coalition accused federal officials of driving down vaccination rates and fueling an increase in dangerous infectious disease outbreaks by making “repeated false claims” about vaccines.

They wrote:

“Vaccines have eradicated devastating diseases and saved millions of lives. They keep classrooms safe and schools open. They allow children to spend time with friends and enjoy their favorite activities. They help parents and caregivers work to support their families.

The letter also addresses recent changes to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommended vaccine schedule for children and adults, though it does not mention U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or President Donald Trump by name.

The coalition, which represents 35 U.S. cities and about a fifth of the U.S. population, “has been working together to exchange ideas and address public health threats for more than two decades,” according to CNN, which first reported on the letter Monday.

Participating cities include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Cleveland, Milwaukee and Seattle.

The group’s financial documents reveal support from billionaire financier Soros. Soros has also invested heavily in the pharmaceutical industry, including COVID-19 vaccine makers Pfizer and AstraZeneca, and Gilead Sciences, which produces remdesivir, a controversial antiviral treatment frequently given to COVID-19 patients.

Soros-funded ‘No Kings’ protestors to demand abolishment of private schools

The left-wing and communist-backed “No Kings” protests taking place on Saturday around the country are set to have chants about the abolishment of private schools, the right to housing, and other left-wing policy prescriptions as they walk in streets throughout the US.

The “Songs and Chants” sheet that the group has published includes the chant, “Education is a right. That’s why today we stand and fight. Oh oh oh oh oh, privatization’s got to go.” The chant, indicating that privatization of education must end, implicates the abolishing of private schools as well as making education systems publicly funded.

Other chants include, “I went down to the rich man’s house. And I took back what he stole from me. Took back my dignity Took back my humanity,” as well as “Protect the land and water What do we want – protect our future,” but “future” can be replaced with “housing for all people,” as well as “public education.”

In addition to the ideology of the song and chant lyrics, some pointed out on X that there were consistent typos in the lyrics.
