Mom sentenced to prison for trying to rescue her son from transitioning into a girl…

There are cases where the law tells you what happened but leaves out almost everything that explains why it happened… and that can be very troubling, and you go straight into the weaponization pool.

Shana Gaviola’s case feels like one of those situations.

The federal government’s version of this case is brutal and really straightforward. They say Gaviola violated a restraining order involving her teenage son, arranged to have him taken from California to a Christian boarding school in Missouri, and the people transporting him kept him handcuffed for more than 24 hours.

She broke the law, a jury convicted her, and now she’s been sentenced to three years in federal prison.

But that very dry and clinical version of the story leaves out the chunk that turned this case into a rallying cry for parental-rights warriors.

According to Gaviola and her supporters, this fight began after her teenage son wanted to transition into a girl, and the people around him, including his school, affirmed his decision without his mother’s approval. Gaviola believed her confused child was headed toward a life-changing decision he would likely regret, and she refused to just stand by and watch it happen.

That stance is explicit in party communications: the Democratic National Committee has repeatedly described legislation targeting transgender people as “vicious” and purposeless, while pledging to “respect and validate” transgender Americans and to protect friends, family, and neighbors — the vocabulary of belonging, not factionalism. This is not a one-off statement; it functions as a north star for downstream decisions about what to fund, which stories to elevate, and how to answer bad-faith frames without amplifying them.

Strategy is only as credible as the policy beneath it. On that front, party-aligned platforms and state-level planks have specified concrete protections: coverage of gender-affirming care judged medically necessary, access to facilities consistent with gender identity, and full participation in civic life without compelled misnaming — the prosaic mechanics that convert values into practice. Even when national conventions have varied in how visibly they spotlighted transgender speakers, the policy substrate has remained consistent across cycles — a fact that matters when adversaries try to portray the position as performative rather than programmatic.

NBA Vet Hoping to Join WNBA as First ‘Trans’ Player Says He’s Coming for Caitlin Clark’s Biggest Hater, Angel Reese

Well, since the WNBA still can’t seem to determine what the “W” in that acronym means, former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom could be the first pick in the next WNBA Draft. And he’s already coming for Caitlin Clark-hating Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese, comparing her to one of the NBA’s great choke artists of all time.

Also, if he gets his way, he says he and Clark — if teamed up — could be the WNBA’s “Kobe and Shaq.” Considering that Reese and Clark have been beefing since their college days (with Clark getting the better of it in the WNBA), that would be really something.

If you haven’t been following this story (and really, if you’re a fan of inadvertent woke hilarity, you’re missing out, even if you hate sports), Kanter is one of three males who have declared that they want to play in the WNBA; two have previous NBA experience: Kanter and Royce White.

Both are trying to make a point here: The WNBA, which is a league that functions as much as a progressive PAC as it does an ongoing sports concern, doesn’t really define what a woman is, except how you define it.

Trans Leader in ‘764’ Satanic Cult That Grooms Children for Sexual Abuse, Torture, Terrorism and Blood Rituals Sentenced to 77 Years in Prison

A transgender member of a violent satanic death cult network was sentenced to 77 years in federal prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to sexually exploiting and terrorizing underage girls around the world and grooming them into mutilating themselves and torturing animals to death.

Kyle William Spitze, 27, pleaded guilty in late 2024 to producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), possessing and accessing with the intent to view CSAM and helping distribute animal torture videos, but he wasn’t sentenced until Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Thomas A. Varlan. The judge sentenced him to the entirety of what the prosecution had sought.

Spitze is a leader of the “HarmNation” group, which is part of the “764” satanic accelerationist cult-like online network.

The decentralized network of mostly teen boys and young men grooms its minor victims into producing child sex abuse material of themselves, mutilating their bodies, abusing or killing animals and, in some cases, committing suicide and/or killing others. They often target victims on online gaming platforms popular with children, such as Minecraft and Roblox.

‘Biology and science is offensive?’ Watch WNBA fans get ordered to conceal their XX-XY T-shirts

America’s well-known freedom speech, which actually protects even offensive language be, uhm, darned!

A security guard at a WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream has imposed his own, and presumably the team’s, speech code on fans.

That is, that they are not allowed to have scientific facts emblazoned on their T-shirts. Cover up or begone, he orders.

It is in a report posted by Fox that the details appear:

The report explains Kasey Thomason and daughter Annie had tickets just two rows back from the court, and they chose to wear XX-XY Athletics T-shirt to support Sophie Cunningham “and the ongoing fight to keep women’s sports and spaces female.”

Through much of the action there was no difficulty.

Then overtime, and a security guard appeared. He ordered them to cover their shirts or leave.

The report explained the guard claimed that other “fan(s)” were offended so they could wear the Atlanta Dream “Wellness & Health Night” shirts or be taken out of the building by escort.

Kasey wondered, so “biology and science is offensive?”

Mother and daughter “reluctantly” agreed to put on the offered shirts so they didn’t miss the end of the game.

Then, the report pointed out, “the Thomasons are seen on the ESPN broadcast with the tan Dream shirts in hand. They can be seen talking to fans around them, who they said loved their shirts and showed support for them and Cunningham throughout the game.”

The report said the prohibited items at State Farm Arena include, “Clothing, garments or signs displaying explicit language, profanity or derogatory characterization towards any person(s).”

Fox reported, “If State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Dream were really trying to claim the shirts worn by the Thomasons were a ‘derogatory characterization’ or ‘indecent messages’ on clothing, that would be an arbitrary way of enforcing their rules, at best. Discrimination, at the worst. But the fact remains, the security guard didn’t claim any of these things from the prohibited items list or the Fan Code of Conduct. He just said the shirts were ‘offensive.'”

Kasey told Fox she assumes a “trans rights” promoter sitting at courtside had complained.

The Fox report said, “This whole situation is discriminatory, disgusting, and quite frankly, Orwellian. In no shape, manner, or form, is a shirt that displays four prominent letters, representing a biological truth that women have XX chromosomes and men have XY chromosomes, ‘offensive.'”

‘Wolves In White Coats’: 5 Key Takeaways From HHS Report On Alleged Pediatric Gender-Treatment Fraud

A report released Aug. 13 by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has shined a light on alleged fraud by health providers who performed pediatric gender procedures.

The report, titled “Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of ‘Gender Medicine’,” examined the actions and motives of 225 healthcare institutions and found they allegedly put profits and gender ideology ahead of patient needs.

Here are five key takeaways from that study.

HHS Alleges Insurance Coding Fraud

The HHS report laid out an alleged pattern of deception, encouraged by groups promoting gender procedures in children, where hospitals and healthcare providers utilized incorrect insurance codes to ensure they got paid.

Rather than use already-existing, specific codes related to gender identity disorders, HHS alleged they used what the study called “proxy diagnosis codes” that were vague, or outright false.

One common diagnosis was “endocrine disorder—unspecified,” which allowed doctors to bill for cross-sex hormones. HHS data showed that between 2015 and 2025, more than $42 million was billed to insurance companies under the unspecified disorder diagnosis.

A 2023 study by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics found that out of 1,480 patients diagnosed with unspecified endocrine disorder, only 71 actually had such an illness. An analysis by the Manhattan Institute also found a 30 percent rise in such diagnoses between 2020 and 2022, HHS said.

Another common miscoding was for “precocious puberty,” which allowed the doctors to prescribe and bill insurers for puberty blockers. The study found that between 2015 and 2025, insurers were billed more than $11 million under this diagnosis for patients aged 13 to 17.

But that can’t be accurate, the report said, because 13 to 17 is the natural age for puberty.

Advocates Encouraged ‘Alternative Diagnosis Codes’

The World Professional Association of Transgender Health, Planned Parenthood, and other groups encouraged healthcare providers to use “alternative diagnosis codes” not related to gender dysphoria, the HHS report stated.

The Epoch Times reached out to these organizations for comment.

In one instance, a Harvard-affiliated gender clinic called Fenway Health advocated using “more vague” diagnosis codes, but also warned that using inaccurate coding is illegal.

Another organization, the Campaign for Southern Equality, put together a toolkit called “Insurance Coding Alternatives For Trans Healthcare” that outlined workarounds for patients with gender dysphoria.

Most insurers exclude gender procedures unless state law requires coverage, the document states. The toolkit shows which coding is frequently rejected by insurers, and which commonly accepted codes to use instead.

If the insurer denies coverage, the toolkit suggests appealing repeatedly. After the third appeal, the case “goes to an outside agency, and is often accepted.”

For example, a patient can claim orchialgia—persistent pain in the testicles—to justify surgical castration, according to the report.

“How do you do a mastectomy, but then bill an insurance company and not raise any red flags? … You bill it as breast reduction instead of a mastectomy,” said Dr. Eithan Haim, an author of the report.

“This guide is essentially a template for how to commit medical fraud. We should all remember that this is something that people go to prison for. This is a major deal.”

In 2024, Haim was indicted by the DOJ for allegedly exposing private information on patients after he accused a Texas hospital of secretly providing gender surgeries on minors in violation of state law. His case was dismissed with prejudice the next year.

Lifelong ‘Captive Patients’ and Revenue

So-called gender affirming care is lucrative as the “captive patients,” as the report called them, require continual medical maintenance that can last decades—or a lifetime.

“You take a little girl and put her on testosterone, or a little boy and put them on estrogen. Well, they’re going to be on that forever and ever, right?” Assistant HHS Secretary Adm. Brian Christine said in an interview with NTD, The Epoch Times’ sister media outlet.

Radical Kansas Dem Gubernatorial Nominee Sparks Fury After Her Very Sacrilegious Post About Jesus Christ Resurfaces

The Kansas Democratic Gubernatorial nominee is under fire after a disgusting and extremely sacrilegious post she made about Jesus Christ resurfaced this week.

As The Washington Examiner reported on Wednesday, State Senator Cindy Holscher had an exchange she had with a right-leaning user on X. In it, she criticized Senate Bill 149, legislation introduced that year that sought to restrict drag performances accessible to minors.

The argument occurred back on March 7, 2023.

At one point during the exchange, Holscher outlandishly suggested that Jesus Christ, who Christians regard as the Son of God, could have been either gay or transgender.

“I have no idea if Jesus was trans, gay, straight, etc.” Holscher wrote.

“But you seem to imply that a sacred figure is ‘less than’ if they aren’t straight. That’s too bad,” Holscher added.

She then demanded that the user provide “proof that schools are grooming children,” she added.

Suggesting that Jesus Christ could have been transgender is not only a true slap in the face and mockery of the Christian faith, It’s also the dumbest possible statement because 70% of the Kansas adults identify with the Christian faith.

A candidate obviously cannot win a conservative state like Kansas if they mock Christianity.

Social media users responded with disgust after learning what Holscher said.

Following Damning Report Vice President Vance Announces Criminal Refererals of Healthcare Providers Subjecting Children to ‘Horrific, Experimental Treatments in Service of Radical Gender Ideologies’

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a report, Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of “Gender Medicine,” a commissioned report examining insurance coding practices, perverse financial incentives, and the provision of sex-rejecting procedures for minors.

According to the report, more than 225 hospitals and health systems have established pediatric gender programs nationwide. Additionally, approximately $50 million in insurance claims were filed for puberty blockers billed using an endocrine disorder diagnostic code, and nearly $11 million in claims for patients ages 13-17 were billed using a diagnosis code for “precocious puberty.”

According to Mayo Clinic, “Precocious puberty is when a child’s body starts developing secondary sexual characteristics (the physical changes of puberty) earlier than usual—typically before age 8 in girls or before age 9 in boys.”

Today, Vice President JD Vance, as Chairman of the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, and Secretary Kennedy referred hospitals and clinics identified by the report to the Department of Justice and the HHS Office of Inspector General, respectively, for possible violations of federal law.

In a press release announcing the report, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, said, “Doctors and hospitals must put children’s health ahead of ideology and financial gain.”

“This report identifies troubling billing practices that demand scrutiny. HHS will follow the evidence, protect taxpayers, and hold accountable anyone who broke the law or violated the trust of patients and families. Under President Trump’s leadership, we are restoring transparency and integrity to American medicine.”

CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz added, “CMS has a duty to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent lawfully and honestly. When billing practices obscure what care was actually provided, especially when children are involved, we have an obligation to follow the facts. We will protect the integrity of our programs, demand accountability, and make sure the American people are not footing the bill for sex rejecting procedures that inflict potentially irreversible harm on young patients.”

Transgender ‘experts’ just made an earth-shattering admission in court

Democrats, activist groups, and medical associations have long cited the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s Standards of Care as the ultimate authority on a scientific “consensus” for sex-rejecting procedures, but WPATH just made an admission in court that threatens to undermine that exalted authority.

The Federal Trade Commission and four state attorneys general sued WPATH in June, alleging that the association engaged in deceptive practices by promoting “gender-affirming care” that causes harm to patients, particularly minors who cannot provide informed consent. Late last month, WPATH urged the court to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming that the government was retaliating because it disagreed with the association’s protected speech.

The association defended its Standards of Care as “opinion” protected by the First Amendment on subjects considering “medical and scientific uncertainty” in a debate with more than one reasonable position. The group also cited a Supreme Court ruling that upheld state laws forbidding “gender-affirming care“—a decision WPATH itself has loudly condemned in the past.

Trump Admin Ends Federal Medicaid Funding for ‘Sex-Rejecting’ Drugs and Surgeries for Children

The Trump administration announced Tuesday that it is banning Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding from being used for “sex-rejecting” drugs and surgeries for children.

“Today, we are ending federal taxpayer funding for sex-rejecting procedures on children,” U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said in a statement.

“These interventions carry serious risks and can cause irreversible harm. The federal government will no longer use Medicaid and CHIP dollars to fund procedures that fail to meet the evidentiary standard our children deserve,” he continued.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said it is implementing the final rule “consistent with its commitment to protect children from experimental and life-altering sex-rejecting procedures that carry serious long-term health risks and lack sufficiently reliable evidence of clinical benefit.” The agency said the funding ban applies to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical interventions for minors, which “can result in irreversible damage, including infertility, impaired sexual function, diminished bone density, altered brain development, and other lasting physiological effects.” 

“Children deserve our protection, not experimental interventions that pose serious risks and convey no proven benefits,” CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said in a statement. “By cutting off federal funds for these sex-rejecting procedures, we’re following the science, saving taxpayer dollars, and, most importantly, protecting children from potentially irreversible harm so they can truly flourish.”
