FBI’s investigation on COVID coverup zeroing in on three separate plots

Asprawling FBI investigation into possible criminal coverups during the COVID-19 pandemic is zeroing in on three separate plots involving the origins of the virus; the hiding and destruction of federal records; and the manipulation of the vaccine approval process and subsequent side effects.

Agents in at least three cities — Cleveland, New York, and Baltimore — are working quickly in the investigation. The investigation was given a legal springboard in a major court ruling holding that China concealed the origins of the COVID-19 virus as well as recent information uncovered by Congress.

The existence of the sprawling investigation was made public last week by FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who described the probe generally in a social media post.

“As we read and process reports of a new COVID strain emerging, I want you to know that we are actively investigating, in multiple field offices, the cover-up of the origin of the COVID virus, along with associated matters requiring our attention,” Bongino wrote in his X account. “You deserve answers.”

Some of the evidence driving the most active parts of the investigation includes emails in which federal scientists admit they were trying to hide discussions about COVID and the vaccine from the public by using private emails.

The possibility of illegal conduct in that matter is being led by agents in Baltimore, officials told Just the News. 

Concerns and related evidence that federal scientists may have tried to hide elements of COVID’s emergence in Wuhan, China because of its own research there are being led by agents in Cleveland, officials added.

There is now open-source intelligence suggesting the earliest recorded case of COVID in China’s databases may have been in September 2019 and that several scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were sickened by the virus in October 2019, well before China admitted that there was human transmission of the virus in January 2020.

FBI investigating ‘targeted terror attack’ in Boulder, Colorado, director says

Police said a male suspect was taken into custody on Sunday after an attack that injured multiple people in Boulder, Colorado, in what the FBI director described as a “targeted” act of terror.

While stressing that the information was “very preliminary,” Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said that the man was apprehended following calls to the police dispatch of someone with a weapon who was “setting people on fire.”

Redfearn said he wasn’t in a position to identify the suspect yet, noting that he’d been taken to the hospital. He said there were multiple injuries among the victims, ranging “from very serious to more minor.”

The Boulder attack occurred in the vicinity of a walk to remember the Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza.

FBI Director Kash Patel, in a statement, described the incident as a targeted terror attack and said agents were on the scene.

Redfearn, however, said it was too early to speculate about a motive.

“We are not calling it a terror attack at this moment,” he said. “This was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in downtown Boulder on Pearl Street and this act was unacceptable,” he said. “I ask that you join me in thinking about the victims, the families of those victims, and everyone involved in this tragedy.”

FBI opens investigation into targeted violence against Christians in Seattle

Dan Bongino of the FBI announced on Tuesday that the agency has opened an investigation into “allegations of targetd violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert.” This follows an incident on Sunday in which Mayday USA, a Christian group, held a permitted concert in Cal Anderson Park which drew Antifa counter-protesters who then attacked the Christians.

Following the attack, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell condemned the Christian group who was attacked, claiming that they were “far-right” and had no business holding an event in the park due to its proximity to the locus of the LGBTQ+ community. 23 arrests were made among the militants who showed up to harass the Christian event.

“We have asked our team to fully investigate allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert. Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion,” Bongino said.

“Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason – to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood,” Harrell said following the event on Saturday.

“When the humanity of trans people and those who have been historically marginalized is questioned, we triumph by demonstrating our values through our words and peaceful protest – we lose our voice when this is disrupted by violence, chaos, and confusion,” Harrell went on. 

This led to calls for Harrell’s resignation and those calls turned into a protest on Tuesday where the Christian group protested Harrell and more Antifa and trans activists showed up to protest the Christians.

It was later revealed that, despite Harrell’s protestations against the Christian group and his complaints over the location of their event, city officials had previously suggested that the event happen in the park. Event organizers had suggested Pike Street, the location of the iconic Pike Place Market, but an official said that “other Seattle Parks locations” should be considered, including Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill where the event did go forward.

FBI investigating impersonator who hacked phone of Chief of Staff Susie Wiles

A federal investigation is underway after elected officials and other prominent figures were contacted by an imposter pretending to be White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

“They breached the phone; they tried to impersonate her,” President Trump told reporters. “Nobody can impersonate her. There’s only one Susie.”

The president added that Wiles, one of Trump’s closest advisers, is an “amazing woman” and “can handle” the situation.

A White House official confirmed the probe on Friday, a day after the Wall Street Journal reported that business leaders and politicians — including governors, senators and members of congress — started receiving text messages and calls from a person who apparently hacked into Wiles’ phone, giving them access to her personal contact list.

The official further noted it was Wiles’ personal phone, not her government phone that was affected.

Declassified FBI memo sheds new light on Clinton’s fingerprints, cash on Trump-Russia probe

Anewly declassified FBI memo detailing the findings of its probe into Fusion GPS contractor Nellie Ohr about the veracity of her testimony to Congress delivers new details about the Hillary Clinton campaign’s fingerprints on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation. The New York Post reported that Ohr, the wife of a former Justice Department official, gave “demonstrably false” testimony to Congress about her involvement in drafting and disseminating the since-debunked dossiers.

The memo was released on Wednesday by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and shows the bureau assessed that Nellie Ohr likely lied to Congress in her testimony about the genesis of the infamous Steele Dossier, her interactions with Justice Department officials, and knowledge of the Trump-Russia probe, known inside the government as “Crossfire Hurricane.” 

Ohr denied knowledge of DOJ probe under oath

Nellie Ohr was a researcher and analyst doing work for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm hired by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign to conduct anti-Trump opposition research. That firm eventually hired disgraced British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who produced the infamous Steele Dossier and other fictional material that provided the ostensible basis for Biden’s Justice Department to probe Trump.

Ohr originally told congressional investigators in October 2018, that she had no knowledge of the Justice Department’s investigations into the Trump-Russia connection, but several key facts uncovered by the FBI’s probe could spell trouble. The memo shows that she shared investigative materials from her Fusion GPS work with her husband, Bruce Ohr, who worked at the Justice Department; and that she acknowledged the investigation in her own emails.

The memo also pointed out the textual similarity between her Fusion GPS research and the official investigation, and disclosed a joint meeting with her DOJ-official husband and Christopher Steele. 

Aside from Nellie Ohr’s work for Fusion GPS, which has long been the subject of congressional investigations and media attention, the declassified memo also shows more extensive Clinton campaign fingerprints on the origins of the collision investigation, with Fusion GPS being the coordinating hub of a multipronged effort to spread Russia collusion allegations to the FBI. Politico reported in 2017 that according to unnamed sources, The Democratic National Committee and Marc Elias, a lawyer for Hillary Clinton who represented the DNC and the Clinton campaign and hired Fusion GPS, helped bankroll research that led to the now-infamous dossier.

Bongino, Patel Discover ‘Stunning’ Comey-Era Files in Room ‘Hidden From Us’ at FBI HQ.

Deputy Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Dan Bongino dropped a bombshell on May 29, 2025, revealing the discovery of a secret room at FBI headquarters packed with evidence from multiple cases, concealed during James Comey’s tenure as director. Referring to himself and FBI Director Kash Patel, a fellow Trump appointee, Bongino said the trove was “hidden from us, at least, and not mentioned to us.”

“There was a room, and we found a lot of stuff,” Bongino said. “We found stuff in there, and a lot of it’s from the Comey era.” The evidence, some of which was described as being “in bags hiding under James Comey,” spans multiple investigations, though Bongino did not specify which. The revelation comes amid heightened scrutiny of Comey, who has been accused of mishandling investigations and was recently investigated by the Secret Service for an Instagram post interpreted as a threat against Trump.

Bongino emphasized the FBI’s efforts to declassify the findings, acknowledging public frustration with the pace. “We are working our damnedest right now to declassify. I totally understand people saying, ‘Well, do it now.’ The process is, not all the information is ours to declassify,” he said, explaining that some of it belongs to other agencies. However, he stressed that, “Once that [process] gets done and [the information] gets out there… You’re going to be stunned.”

Comey’s tenure as FBI director from 2013 to 2017 was marred by controversy, including his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation and his role in facilitating the discredited Russiagate probe, which consumed much of Trump’s first term. Recently, Comey faced backlash for an Instagram post showing “86 47” spelled out in seashells, interpreted as a call to “86” or “kill” Trump, the 47th president.

FBI’s Bongino Says Agency Probing COVID-19 Origin Cover-Up as New Strain Drives Cases

The FBI is investigating the alleged cover-up of the origins of COVID-19, the agency’s deputy director, Dan Bongino, said on May 29, as a new strain of the virus has started to circulate in some parts of the world.

“As we read and process reports of a new COVID strain emerging, I want you to know that we are actively investigating, in multiple field offices, the cover-up of the origin of the COVID virus, along with associated matters requiring our attention,” Bongino wrote in a post on social media platform X. “You deserve answers.”

Bongino did not state which field offices are probing the origins of the virus or which individuals are involved in the alleged cover-up. The FBI has not issued an official statement on the investigation.

The Epoch Times has contacted the FBI for further comment.

In April, the Trump administration changed a White House COVID-19 page to say that the virus likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, in 2019.

The page also criticizes former White House COVID-19 adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, who stepped down as chief medical adviser under the Biden administration in 2022, and other individuals it says repeatedly sought to discredit the lab leak theory.

New Docs Reveal How FBI Insiders Buried Evidence Of Spygate Crimes

Nellie Ohr isn’t a new name in the Russiagate saga, but newly released documents from Sen. Chuck Grassley’s office shatter the fiction that she was just a low-level researcher and reveal her as a key conduit between Clinton operatives, the DOJ, and the FBI. The documents also pull back the curtain on a darker truth: an internal black hole FBI system designed not just to restrict access to sensitive Russiagate documents, but to bury them so completely that even FBI agents tasked with finding them wouldn’t know they existed.

What was already known about Nellie Ohr is that she worked for Fusion GPS — an opposition research firm led by former Wall Street Journal reporters Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch — who were hired by the Clinton campaign in April 2016 to manufacture the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. At the same time, her husband, Bruce Ohr, was a senior official at the Department of Justice. It was also known that Nellie Ohr gathered open-source information on various figures, including Trump campaign advisor Carter Page, which was then twisted to fit the collusion narrative. What was not known — until now — is just how deeply involved she was in the Trump-Russia collusion smear, how brazenly she lied to cover it up, and how the FBI actively aided in the cover-up.

According to the newly released document from Sen. Grassley’s office, a previously unseen 43-page FBI analysis from 2019, Nellie Ohr was involved in many aspects of the Russia collusion hoax, including in the drafting of the Steele Dossier. The FBI analysis was initiated after then-Congressman Mark Meadows filed a criminal referral, alleging that Ohr had lied to Congress during her 2018 testimony about her role in producing supposed research that helped trigger the Trump-Russia investigation. Meadows had good reason to be suspicious.

As the analysis concluded, Nellie Ohr repeatedly lied under oath. The FBI found that despite her denials, she contributed directly to the writing of the Steele Dossier. One telling clue was an identical analytical error that appeared both in her research and in the dossier itself. Even more damning, the FBI recovered a deleted “FSB report” from a thumb drive which Fusion owner Simpson had given to Bruce Ohr to give to the FBI in December 2016. That same fictitious report had already appeared as part of the dossier given to the FBI by Steele two months earlier, in October 2016. The FSB report bore all the hallmarks of Nellie Ohr’s work, which likely explains why Simpson, or whoever created the thumb drive, deleted the report just four minutes after uploading it, before eventually giving it to Bruce Ohr to pass to the FBI. What they didn’t realize was that what they tried to hide was still recoverable.

It’s long been suspected that former British intelligence agent turned Clinton operative Christopher Steele’s role wasn’t to generate the dossier’s content himself but to act as a cutout, lending British intelligence credibility to stories manufactured by Fusion GPS operatives and Clinton campaign affiliates. That part of the operation was wildly successful. To this day, many still believe it was Steele who wrote the dossier’s stories, when in reality, he was just the frontman.

New evidence could blow open the Oklahoma City bombing case

For years, the FBI denied that key evidence existed in the Oklahoma City bombing. But court documents, leaked files, and eyewitness accounts suggest a darker truth buried beneath the official story.

President Bill Clinton visited a church in Oklahoma City on April 19 to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1995 bombing that resulted in the deaths of 168 people. In his remarks, Clinton said we “owe” it to the victims to “do better” in honor of their sacrifice. But just like three decades ago, commemorating the bombing still requires airbrushing a mountain of contradictory evidence.

Clinton’s Justice Department owed the nation the full truth about the bombing. Instead, it spun a cover story that both distorted the past and endangered the future, leaving the American people exposed to new threats.

Among the most striking but forgotten facts surrounding the Oklahoma City bombing is the mystery of “John Doe 2,” a man 24 eyewitnesses claimed to have seen in the Ryder truck with Timothy McVeigh. The FBI now insists he never existed.

After the bombing, the media abandoned its role as a watchdog and became, in too many cases, an enabler of the official narrative of lone-wolf terror. It professed that the FBI acted swiftly and heroically, the Justice Department delivered justice, and President Clinton led the country through its pain with grace and resolve.

Fortunately, not everyone gave up on the truth. Today’s most relentless truth-seekers are anonymous digital investigators and citizen journalists, armed with Freedom of Information Act filings, archived footage, and a hunger to uncover what the gatekeepers tried to hide.

I’ve been part of one such effort for almost two decades. Working alongside attorney Jesse Trentadue, I’ve investigated the likely connection between the Oklahoma City bombing and the horrific 1995 death of Jesse’s brother, Kenneth, in federal custody. Jesse’s FOIA lawsuits unearthed shocking documents about the FBI’s concealed activities — clues that led us deeper into the bureau’s involvement than we could have imagined.

Then, a former FBI undercover operative came forward. What he revealed gave us a key piece of the puzzle. And yet for all we’ve uncovered, the vaults of secrecy remain shut.

Which brings us to a critical moment. On March 26, Trentadue submitted a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, urging the release of a decade-old sealed deposition from that very whistleblower. The contents of that deposition could expose the true scope of PATCON — the FBI’s sweeping 1990s operation to infiltrate alleged right-wing extremist groups — and potentially tie it directly to the Oklahoma City bombing.

This is a test of whether the Trump administration will honor its promises of transparency. Very few are aware that the Oklahoma City bombing was caught on camera. We know this not just from speculative claims but from on-the-record sources — contemporaneous media reports, corroborating federal files, and sworn FBI testimony. The footage exists. It’s a documented fact. Yet the tapes remain hidden. Authorities only released video of the aftermath.

For over a decade, the FBI fought Trentadue in court to keep the video out of public view. The footage may prove conclusively that McVeigh was not acting alone. If made public, the tapes could shatter the myth of lone-wolf domestic terror. They could implicate associates of McVeigh who were never charged.

Further, the videos could show that 168 Americans were murdered not just by a madman but by a preventable failure of federal surveillance — or worse, by a deliberate cover-up. This cover story has allowed neo-Nazi terrorists to slip through the cracks, denied justice to the victims, and kept the American public in the dark for far too long.

FBI Releases Bombshell Crossfire Hurricane Documents

True to his word, FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday released a bombshell series of documents detailing, for the first time, many of the lengths to which agents went to investigate baseless collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russian officials to influence the election.

The batch, released by Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Wednesday, contains exhaustive requests by the FBI’s Washington office sent to the Office of the Special Counsel for information about testimony by Nellie Ohr, a Russian specialist who is believed to have played a formative role in creating the false Steele dossier.

Dated Sep. 18, 2019, the office headed by former Director Christopher Wray wrote Special Counsel Robert Mueller asking for materials to determine whether to open a criminal investigation into Ohr, the wife of former Justice Department official Bruce Ohr who President Donald Trump has long accused of disseminating information to the political firm which created the Steele dossier.

Previous Republican-led investigations into Nellie Ohr concluded that she may have provided false testimony while describing her work with Christopher Steele, a former British spy who was hired by a Clinton campaign sub-vendor named Fusion GPS.

The new documents state that members of the FBI were initially rebuffed by Mueller’s special counsel office, hindering their ability to prosecute Nellie Ohr at the time.

“On May 31, 2019, D5-POST SCO TEAM advised that some but not all of the cases related to Trump/Russian-collusion had been migrated from Prohibited status to Restricted Access status so that investigators might have the opportunity to identify potentially relevant Restricted Access serials,” the Washington office wrote summarizing the interaction.

However, the sheer volume of searches needed to complete the investigation, combined with the lack of FBI manpower or help from the Special Counsel’s Office, left the FBI in a lurch and without evidence to carry on a prosecution.

Agents “remain incapable of identifying potentially relevant serials in those cases that remained in ‘Prohibited Access’ status,” authors added.

Ohr in 2016 was employed by Fusion GPS, which was hired by the Clinton campaign to explore connections between candidate Trump and Russia. Her marriage to Bruce Ohr, who was currently serving in the Obama Justice Department at the time, became the subject of scrutiny following Trump’s successful election.

Wray, a Trump appointee, later fell out of favor after the president accused him of doing too little to bring charges in the Russiagate case. He resigned shortly before President Trump took office again in 2025.

Evidence in the documents reportedly show that Nellie Ohr shared some of her political research with associates of her husband, contradicting her sworn testimony.
