5 tampered with absentee ballots in Connecticut’s largest city, authorities say

Five people including prominent Democratic political operatives in Connecticut’s largest city were arrested Friday on allegations of absentee ballot tampering during a 2023 local election, including accusations that led to a court-ordered rerun of a mayoral election and helped fuel skepticism about voting security in the U.S.

The charges generally allege that the defendants in the Bridgeport case illegally possessed absentee ballots of others, were illegally present when voters filled in their ballots and misrepresented absentee ballot rules to voters. Complaints previously filed with state elections enforcement officials said some voters were pressured into picking certain candidates when they filled out their ballots.

Among those arrested were Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee Vice Chairperson Wanda Geter-Pataky, and Bridgeport Democratic City Council Members Alfredo Castillo, Maria Pereira and Jazmarie Melendez, according to the chief state’s attorney’s office. A Stratford woman was also arrested but contact information for her could not be found and it’s unclear if she has an attorney who can speak on her behalf.

Geter-Pataky and Castillo were previously charged with similar absentee ballot crimes connected to the 2019 election.

Walz urges Democrats to ‘be a little meaner,’ ‘bully the s–t’ out of Trump: ‘A challenging few years’

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, called on his fellow Democrats on Saturday to “be a little meaner” and stand up to President Donald Trump, who he described as a “bully.”

Walz, a 2024 vice presidential candidate, was the keynote speaker at a Democratic Party state convention in Columbia, South Carolina, where he took jabs at the Republican president and sought to energize his party’s activists.

“Maybe it’s time for us to be a little meaner, a little bit more fierce, because we have to ferociously push back on this,” Walz told the crowd in the Palmetto State.

The comment came after he said he had been accused of being “mean” when he threw criticism in recent months at Trump administration officials, including billionaire Elon Musk, who has since left his role in the federal government.

“The thing that bothers a teacher more than anything is to watch a bully,” Walz, a former schoolteacher, said. “And when it’s a child, you talk to them and you tell them why bullying is wrong.”

“But when it’s an adult like Donald Trump, you bully the s–– out of him back… This is a… cruel man,” the governor added.

The Minnesota Democrat also criticized Trump as a “wannabe dictator” and an “existential threat.”

“Donald Trump is the existential threat that we knew was coming,” Walz said, noting that, for Democrats, “it is going to be a challenging few years here.”

“We’ve got the guts and we need to have it to push back on the bullies and the greed,” he said.

Walz also appeared Friday night, along with Maryland Democrat Gov. Wes Moore, at the party’s fundraising dinner and after-party fish fry hosted by South Carolina Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn. Walz and Moore are on a long list of potential 2028 presidential candidates who have been traveling to early-voting states, although the Maryland governor said ​​he would not run for the White House in the next election cycle.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Drags Out Tired Democrat Talking Points-Calls DOGE an “Act of War” Compares Trump to Nazi Regime

When the left runs out of substantive arguments, they pull out the same tired talking points.  Chicago’s far-left, radical mayor, Brandon Johnson, is the latest example.

During his weekly press conference, Johnson claimed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is “an act of war” and that the Trump administration is similar to “the Third Reich.”

Johnson claimed Chicago is the most “pro-worker” city in the U.S., but is facing “hostility” from Washington.

Johnson whined, “The fact that the President of the United States of America is cutting off food supply and medicine to working people and families across this country — that is an act of war.”

“And we’re going to need leaders who are prepared and willing to stand up for working people, because this battle has reached our front doors all across America where people are struggling and suffering. And in order to alleviate that pain and discomfort, it’s going to require bold leadership. We can’t tippy toe.”

A reporter asked how Chicago can with the Trump administration for the benefit of the city with an adversarial position, Johnson referred to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s State of the State address in February, where he remarked that it “took the Nazi’s one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours and 40 minutes to dismantle a Constitutional Republic.”

“Governor Pritzker… offered up a warning,” Johnson stated.

“You have a president that is cutting off medicine and food, a president that is working to erase culture. I mean, you can’t make this up. He’s doing it in plain sight.”

Johnson expanded on the ‘everything I disagree with is literally Hitler’ rhetoric noting how an “entire nation and or globe” questioned how Germany could have descended into Nazism and anti-Semitism so quickly and suggested Trump is “carry(ing) out the playbook that was done against an entire people-group.”

“He’s doing it right here in this country,” he continued, “against working people, erasing Black folks from museums and the history and the culture. So, when you ask how we balance that, you have to fight it and resist it with everything that’s in you.”

“The President of the United States of America is capturing the hopes and aspirations of working people and holding us hostage as he works to implement and annihilate democracy.”

Dem Congresswoman Is Under Investigation Over Missing Funds

U.S. Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) is under investigation for allegedly violating several House rules, including allegations that she misused congressional funds for a for-profit entity.

Investigators with the Office of Congressional Ethics found “substantial reason to believe” the congresswoman she sought money for a community project and directed it to a private business. The findings were revealed after an investigation that has been ongoing for the better part of a year.

Investigators also found “probable cause” to further investigate allegations that she accepted campaign contributions linked to official actions. Cherfilus-McCormick has denied the allegations and said she has fully cooperated with the investigation in a statement to WPTV.

The Office of Congressional Conduct (OCC) is now calling for a full scale probe concerning the $5 million she obtained from Congress’ 2023 budget, which was supposed to be routed to the Figgers Foundation, a Florida telemedicine non-profit. Instead, the funds were routed to a for-profit entity.

The Democrat lawmaker is also facing additional allegations of misusing funds dating back to 2023.

Democrats once again fell flat on their faces while trying to smear the Trump Administration as evil and barbaric after learning about a tragic story involving a little girl from Mexico suffering a rare and deadly medical condition.

The narrative pushed by the corporate media is that a critically ill four-year-old girl named Sofia Vargas, who is originally from Mexico, has been ordered to leave America immediately. Her family’s ‘legal’ immigration status was revoked earlier this month for unclear reasons.

Sofia suffers from short bowel syndrome, which occurs when a person’s small intestine is shortened or damaged. This condition makes it incredibly difficult to absorb sufficient nutrients from food to maintain health. It affects only 10,000 to 20,000 people in America.

Sofia requires at least 14 hours of intravenous nutrition per day to prevent possible death.

The Vargas family entered America under the Biden regime’s CBP One app in July 2023 and were granted humanitarian parole for the purpose of seeking medical treatment for Sofia.

“They received a subsequent notice weeks later, and a third notice in May verifying that they are no longer in lawful status and are now vulnerable to deportation,” Gina Amato, directing attorney of the Immigrants Rights Project at Public Counsel, whined during a press conference on Wednesday. “The notices also ordered the family to leave the United States immediately.”

Several Democratic officials and activists promptly pounced on the story, calling Trump sick among other hateful things.

Sending Vargas back to Mexico would almost certainly result in her death, considering her native country’s poor health care system. But this is not happening.

An official from the DHS revealed in a statement to The Independent that Sofia is not only not being actively deported but her family’s application for humanitarian parole is still under consideration.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) went viral again last week after making a stunning claim about Republicans she meets in person.

As TGP readers know, Crockett is regularly roasted online by the right for her numerous bizarre and racist statements, radical positions, and violent behavior. One would think that Republicans not on social media would have a similar negative view.

“Republicans poll all the time, and I have no idea what is happening in their polling, but I can tell you that they approach me as they see me out and say, ‘Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I really like you.’”

Crockett went on to say that Republicans also tell her they believe she is fighting for the people and doing “what is best for all of us.” She concluded that this is all scary for Republicans.

Upon seeing her remarks, conservatives were understandably dumbfounded and extremely skeptical.

Former Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner, who resigned from Congress in 2011 after being caught sending sexual images to a 15-year-old girl (who remarkably resembled Texas GOP Senator Ted Cruz), joined ABC’s “The View” on Friday to try and help relaunch his failed political career.

“The View” host Anna Navarro mentioned Weiner’s repeated “sexting” scandals where he used the alias Carlos Danger, including the nude images he sent to and requested from a minor in 2016.

After citing his despicable pedophilic sex crimes and pointing out he was forced to register as a sex offender, Navarro asked Weiner, “Why should New Yorkers give you a chance at a political comeback?”

Weiner is currently running for a seat in the New York City Council in the 2025 election.

The longtime Clinton insider and former Democrat politician acknowledged his shady past and told the audience he doesn’t try to play victim or claim to be politically persecuted like “Donald Trump, Andrew Cuomo or Eric Adams” have done.

He explained, “I didn’t ask for a trial, I pled guilty, served my time in prison, served in a halfway house, served probation, went to try to do good work for the formerly incarcerated.”

Weiner then suggested people vote for him BECAUSE he committed atrocious sex crimes and is now allegedly “cured” of his addiction, saying, “I guess what I’m saying to people is, maybe don’t vote for me in spite of what they know about me, but maybe consider that journey, that idea that we all go through things and we come out the other side.”

Next, the Democrat noted the fact that he’s Jewish and told viewers that his troubled past is “not a good enough reason” to not vote for him when he runs for public office again.

“All I can ever be is who I am right now, and that brought me to this space,” he said, eliciting applause from the in-studio audience.

Earlier this week, the disgraced former congressman was confronted in New York by a man calling him a “pedophile” and questioning him about the “Clinton Body count.”

Weiner ignored the allegations waged at him and instead asked the man filming if he wanted to be added to the Clinton body count, which was clearly a death threat from the powerful and well-connected Democrat.

Democrats’ inexcusable cover-up of Biden’s decline — and possible cancer

The American people have a right to know about the health and mental status of the president of the United States. For goodness’ sake, “physician to the president” is an official position. Whoever is in that position should be required by law to reveal to us if the commander in chief has a medical emergency, is diagnosed with a terminal illness or is otherwise incapable of fulfilling the oath of office.

We learned that former President Biden has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Tonette and I offer our prayers for his recovery; we feel badly for him and his family. However, that should not stop discussions about the cover-up of his cognitive lapses while in office. If anything, the news warrants an even more extensive investigation into what was known about Mr. Biden’s health and well-being while he was president.

Sadly, it is not shocking to learn that the White House staff might have concealed the cancer diagnosis until after Mr. Biden’s term was up. Remember, this is the same administration in which the secretary of defense was incapacitated in the hospital following complications from cancer treatment and failed to notify the president or anyone in the White House.

Plus, the timing seems odd. The Bidens chose to reveal the cancer diagnosis just as CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s new book on the cover-up of the former president’s cognitive decline came out. I empathize with Mr. Biden, but things just do not add up. Members of the House and Senate should hold committee hearings and subpoena Mr. Biden’s physician, Kevin O’Connor. The good doctor needs to provide some clear answers.

None of this, however, should cloud our disdain for a media that is now acting shocked to find out about the cognitive decline of Mr. Biden. Mr. Tapper appeared on Megyn Kelly’s podcast as part of his book tour and was surprised when Ms. Kelly called him out for being part of the cover-up. He begged off until she responded with footage from his show and said, “One of us didn’t miss the biggest story of the century when it comes to presidential politics, and one of us did.”

Mr. Tapper’s book is filled with disturbing stories about the then-president’s state of mind. He writes of George Clooney greeting Mr. Biden on the way into a mega fundraiser the actor was co-hosting for Mr. Biden’s reelection. In the story, Mr. Biden appears not to recognize the well-known star. Later, Mr. Clooney was one of the first to publicly call for Mr. Biden to drop out after the disastrous June debate with President Trump.

The Washington media elite act as if they did some sort of Woodward and Bernstein-level work to uncover the truth about Mr. Biden’s problems. Instead, it’s been more like watching “Dave” or “Weekend at Bernie’s.”

Conservatives on talk radio, podcasts and social media have been discussing these problems for years. Most in the corporate media sought to dismiss or even attack our concerns. Until Mr. Biden’s disastrous performance on the debate stage last June made it impossible to overlook, most of the mainstream media were all in for Joe.

Three Judges Blocking Trump’s Tariffs Have Decades-Long Histories of Democrat Activism

The judges on the U.S. Court of International Trade who ruled that President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs are illegal have a history of Democrat Party activism.

Each of the members of the three-judge panel issuing the Wednesday ruling – which was stayed Thursday by an appeals court, allowing the tariffs to continue – fit the profile of other activists judges who continued their political activism after joining the court.

Judges Gary Katzmann, Timothy Reif, and Jane Restani have histories of supporting Democrat candidates that span as far back as 45 years ago and have thwarted Trump’s authority in both of his administrations, earning allegations of judicial activism.

Trump teed off on the judges Thursday night on Truth Social. “Where do these initial three Judges come from?” he asked. “How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America? Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be?”

Katzmann, nominated by Barack Obama in 2015, attended Columbia, Oxford, and Yale Law School and later clerked for Stephen Breyer (while Breyer was on the First Circuit Court of Appeals). He was a researcher at the Center for Criminal Justice at Harvard Law School as well as a lecturer at Harvard Law School.

Although Katzmann is a registered unaffiliated voter in Massachusetts, he voted in the 2018, 2016, and 2014 Democrat primaries.

Democrats and Their DEI Albatrosses

Afew Democrat officeholders, activists, and pundits are finally coming to their senses that their brand is toxic to a majority of the American people.

The Biden administration killed what was left of it in a number of ways.

First, it serially lied to Americans about the cognitive decline and cancerous condition of President Joe Biden, both while in and after office.

Only when caught did the complicit media fess up that the Biden inner circle serially misled the American people about Biden’s inability to fulfill the duties of the presidency.

Second, left-wing politicos used Biden as a waxen effigy. His job was to pose as a “moderate” cover to push through the most radical and unpopular agenda in the last half century.

Only that way could “Old Joe Biden from Scranton” and his backroom handlers ram down the throat of the American people unpopular policies that nearly wrecked the country: hyperinflation and $7 trillion in new debt, weaponization of the government, and partisan lawfare, an open border and 12 million illegal aliens, a racialist DEI commissariat, a crackpot Green New Deal, defunding the police, biological men competing in girls’ sports, and two theater-wide wars abroad.

Third, without either a functional president or viable initiatives, the new hard-left Democrats sought to brand Donald Trump as “Hitler” and half the country who supported him as “fascists.”

For nearly nine years, the Democrats launched one failed hoax after another on the American people: “Russian collusion,” “laptop disinformation,” and the lying so-called “51 intelligence authorities.” They proved quite willing to undermine the rule of law by manipulating the court system in efforts to destroy their bogeyman, Donald Trump.

Never had the American people seen a political party engineer 93 bogus indictments of a rival candidate and ex-president. Two dozen states tried to take Trump off their presidential ballots. And the Biden Department of Justice sicced an FBI SWAT team to barge into Trump’s home.

The people finally got tired of all the potty-mouthed Democrat videos, the congressional stunts and meltdowns, the pampered rich kids rioting on elite campuses, the knee-jerk obsessions with racial slurs, the firebombing of Tesla dealerships, the romanticization of left-wing political murderers—and always the adolescent tantrums over Donald Trump.

The Democrats had mostly given up on democracy some 13 years ago. That was the last time they transparently and democratically nominated Barack Obama a second time as their presidential candidate.

Ever since, their nominations have been rigged.

In 2020, party insiders—terrified of the left-wing crazy primary field—forced out all the leading contenders.

Then they coronated the debilitated but still supposedly useful moderate Joe Biden as their COVID-era candidate. Biden then bragged that he would pick his vice president on the basis of race and gender.

What followed was the most bizarre campaign in history.
