Meet the Leakers! Russiagate Was More Incestuous Than You Could Believe

Many years ago, Bill Whittle gave me the sharpest definition you might ever read for the proper role of journalism in a healthy republic: “They’re the antibodies of the body politic.” But we do not live in a healthy republic — and journalists too often are part of the cancer we’re trying to eliminate. 

Case in point: So-called journalists who, instead of investigating Russiagate claims, performed as marionettes for the Obama-era intelligence community, determined to rig and then undo a presidential election.

And now we have at least two names.

I’ll get to those in just a moment, but first, this important reminder.

At the center of the Obama White House’s fabricated Russia collusion narrative is Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) — currently under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland for mortgage fraud.

The first name is Ellen Nakashima, whom RealClearInvestigations senior reporter Paul Sperry dryly calls “the Washington Post’s handmaiden for the deep state.” Her most recent appearance, Sperry reported on Tuesday, isn’t under her WaPo byline, but in “FBI 302s as the likely key recipient of classified intelligence leaks from Adam Schiff regarding Russiagate.”

Sperry previously reported in July that “Declassified docs show Obama’s spooks used Washington Post stenographer Ellen Nakashima to plant 3 major Russiagate stories,” so the idea that Nakashima was also on Schiff’s speed dial is hardly outrageous.

“It has come to my attention that Washington Post reporter @nakashimae appears to be actively harassing ODNI staff,” administration intel chief Tulsi Gabbard posted on X last month. “Instead of reaching out to my press office, she is calling high-level Intelligence Officers from a burner phone, refusing to identify herself, lying about the fact that she works for the Washington Post, and then demanding they share sensitive information.”

Nakashima also helped bury the Hunter Biden Laptop from Hell story.

Another name is New York Times investigative reporter Michael Schmidt.

Dem-Appointed Judge Lets Convict Walk — He’s Now Accused of Kidnapping a Mom and Her Kids

A Kentucky man who was sentenced to 14 years in prison last year but was put back on the street five months after his sentencing has been arrested after a Louisville woman and her children were kidnapped at knifepoint.

Armond Langford. 32, was arrested Friday after a six-hour manhunt, according to WHAS-TV.

Before his arrest, a woman and her two children were kidnapped. The woman said she was forced to drive to a bank as Langford demanded $20,000.

“He opened our back door and told them to get in the car…. They got in the car. They drove to the bank. He held a knife at her the whole time, he was telling her to drive faster,” Brandon Strong, husband and father of the victims, told the TV station.

He said his wife was stabbed during the ordeal and was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound.

Langford had been sentenced to 14 years in prison in February 2024 after being convicted on charges of robbing multiple people who were withdrawing cash from ATMs from August 2021 to November 2021.

However, in July 2024, Judge Jessica Green granted a request for what’s called “shock probation,” in which the surprise of being set free is allegedly what keeps a criminal from reoffending.

Green was named to the bench in 2022 by Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.

Louisville council member Anthony Piagentini vented his anger.

Mayor Brandon Johnson Claims Trump Is Intimidated by His Black Intellectual Prowess

End Wokeness is a Twitchy favorite, but we wish they would not pull an Aaron Rupar and give us the full context of a clip. We’d like to know in exactly what “petite and purile terms” President Donald Trump was speaking to trigger Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who now enjoys an approval rating of 6.6 percent compared to Trump’s 45.9 percent.

We checked Google for news stories about a Johnson press conference in which he appreciated the press’s “begging,” but the best we could find was a Facebook post by a local news anchor. Christina Aguayo News reports that Johnson called Trump “one of the biggest threats to humanity that we have seen in an entire generation.”

Johnson also added that he’s been saying for the past couple of years that “the extreme right in this country wants a rematch of the Civil War.” The one started by Democrats?

Democrat Los Angeles City Councilman Charged with Corruption for Embezzling $800,000

A Democrat Los Angeles City Councilman has been charged with corruption for embezzling $800,000.

The Los Angeles DA filed two new charges against Curren Price this week alleging the embezzlement of public funds and awarding contracts for his own financial gain.

Price was first hit with five embezzlement charges in 2023. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

“Embezzling public funds and awarding contracts for your own financial gain is the antithesis of public service,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said. “Our communities expect and deserve better from their public officials. I thank our investigative team and prosecutors in the Public Integrity Division for diligently pursuing every lead and holding elected officials accountable. Self-dealing and pay-to-play politics will not be tolerated in Los Angeles County.”

Per the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office:

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed two new public corruption charges against Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price after uncovering evidence that the city’s housing authority and LA Metro paid Price’s wife more than $800,000 total at the same time Price voted to award the agencies multimillion-dollar contracts.

Curren De Mille Price Jr. has been the Los Angeles City Councilmember for the Ninth District since 2013. Like all other councilmembers, he is prohibited from having a financial interest associated with any project that comes before the City Council.

Price (dob 12/16/50) was charged on June 13, 2023, in case BA515782 with five felony counts of embezzlement of government funds, three felony counts of perjury and two felony counts of conflict of interest.

The 10 felony counts allege that Del Richardson & Associates, a company owned solely by Price’s wife, Delbra Pettice Richardson, received payments totaling more than $150,000 between 2019 and 2021 from developers before he voted to approve projects.

Price is also accused of embezzling approximately $33,800 in city funds from 2013-2017 to pay for medical benefits for Richardson, who he falsely claimed was his wife while still legally married to Lynn Suzette Price.

Price pleaded not guilty to these charges on Dec. 15, 2023. He was released on his own recognizance.

Subpoenas in the case yielded additional evidence of public corruption. On Aug. 11, prosecutors filed an amended complaint alleging two additional counts of conflict of interest. The complaint includes an appendix of 39 exhibits of evidence of the payments and Price’s voting history.

Between Oct. 22, 2019, and June 30, 2020, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles allegedly paid Del Richardson & Associates approximately $609,600. During this time, Price voted to support a $35 million federal grant and a state grant application for $252 million for the agency.

Price’s staff had flagged the item of interest prior to the votes.

MSNBC’s Scarborough: Dems Secretly Support Trump’s Federal Police Takeover

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Tuesday that numerous Democrats have privately expressed support for President Donald Trump’s decision to assume federal control of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C.

Speaking on “Morning Joe,” Scarborough said he has heard from “so many” Democrats in recent days who believe the federal government should have intervened in the city’s policing long ago.

“This is a fascinating story because so many people have been calling me over the past couple of days, going, you know, like Washington, should have gotten involved years ago. This place is dangerous, it’s a mess, it’s a wreck and whatever,” Scarborough said.

“And then they’ll go on Twitter and go ‘this is the worst outrage of all time.’ Which I understand, it’s like people need to express their concerns about Donald Trump going too far.”

Leftists’ Victimhood And Narcissism Are Two Self-Obsessed Sides Of The Same Coin

What do you get when you marry victimhood and narcissistic self-worship? Today’s woke ideologue journalist. For it is left-wing journalists resting upon their precarious perch in corporate legacy media who, despite (admittedly declining) wealth and influence, believe they are actually victims worthy of America’s sympathy and support. 

They are the oppressed, beleaguered heroes keeping the fires of truth burning in these dark days of reinvigorated conservative cultural and political dominance, waging a fearless battle against patriarchy and racism. They also happen to have sufficient wealth and free time to indulge in some of the priciest and most self-absorbed activities that define our digital age. One need look no further than a recent column by The Washington Post’s Karen Attiah to observe the paradox.

WaPo Columnist Weds Victimhood and Self-Worship

Attiah presents the perfect example of how the contemporary obsession with victimhood and self-absorption are actually one and the same thing. Her op-ed begins by talking about how much she hated being skinny. As a teenager, she claims she was subject to stereotypes about “underfed Africans.” She yearned to be strong so she could be “a threat to the gender system.”

When Attiah began working out at a gym post-Covid, she started to put on muscle. She admits her physical labor was motivated by a vain desire to improve her body. Attiah is obviously proud to be strong — between the print and web versions of the article, there are three different photos of her showing off her body in the gym. She brags about winning a silver medal at the 2021 USA Muay Thai Open. She calls lifting an act of resistance and declares it is “how we build the power to birth a better world.”

Yet despite her obvious “flexing” about her body, Attiah’s article is also peppered with digressions about women’s bodily and financial autonomy, and how women are “realizing that men are not unfailing providers and protectors.” She complains about strangers squeezing her arms without asking, while “random men” demand to arm wrestle or suggest fighting her. She’s even apparently threatened not only by conservative women but by women who want to get pregnant.

That the editors at The Washington Post didn’t perceive the bizarre hypocrisy in this piece demonstrates how little they have learned despite their recent shakeup. Attiah is a self-described victim of a white supremacist and patriarchal American society — yet she also has sufficient money for gym memberships and vitamins and the time to gain 20 pounds of muscle. Did I mention she’s a Washington Post columnist who has won awards for her “journalism”?

Much of the Elite Class of ‘Journalists’ Is Like This

If only Attiah were unique in her self-indulgence and fabricated sense of victimhood among the elite journalism class. Yet for liberal woke ideologues, this is arrestingly common. Indeed, one need look no further than CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert, who has sought to play the victim regarding the cancellation of his show, which many have argued was an attempt to placate President Trump, whom Colbert incessantly attacked with the vigor of the most liberal primetime pundit. Journalists across liberal legacy media claim Trump and Republicans are waging war against the press, such as recent moves to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a demonstrably liberal institution run by extremist ideologues such as Katherine Maher.

And who could forget crybully Taylor Lorenz, formerly of The Washington Post, who claimed she suffered from PTSD because of online criticism? Though Lorenz is a nationally known “journalist” with a national bestseller of a book, she also demands that everyone recognize her status as a victim. That she fawned over the assassin who brutally murdered UnitedHealthcare’s CEO makes such behavior all the more bizarre and disturbing.

Arizona Leftist Senator Doubles Down On Her ‘Right’ To Tip Off Illegals To ICE Operations

Last week, Arizona State Sen. Analise Ortiz, vulgarly defended her actions after she admitted to alerting illegal immigrants to ICE presence in her district. The Glendale leftist, who also is accused of doxxing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, shook her fist at “fascists and white supremacists in power in Arizona,” and claimed she had a right to interfere in federal immigration law enforcement activities. 

“Yep. When ICE is around, I will alert my community to stay out of the area, and I’m not f***king scared of you nor Trump’s masked goons,” the lawmaker wrote in response to the conservative social media site Libs of TikTok outing Ortiz for “actively impeding and doxxing” ICE. 

But “alerting” her community could very well tip off some very dangerous people who represent a clear and present danger to the community at large.

‘Will be Investigated’

In a statement, Arizona State Senate President Warren Petersen said he has referred the matter to U.S. Attorney, Arizona District for investigation. And Petersen told The Federalist last week that an ethics complaint has been filed in the Senate against Ortiz “and will be investigated through the course of the normal complaint process at the legislature.” 

Ortiz has since doubled down on her defiant rhetoric, asserting her speech is protected under the First Amendment. 

“I am not intimidated by this because what I did was simply alert my community to stay away from an area where ICE could be to keep themselves safe,” she told ABC15 Arizona in an interview. 

That’s a good way to get law enforcement agents and civilians hurt or killed, the Department of Homeland Security has said, as attacks on ICE agents soar by more than 800 percent. 

“Notifying the public about ICE law enforcement operations endangers law enforcement and weakens American national security. This certainly looks like obstruction of justice,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to the news outlet. 

While Ortiz claims free speech, ICE continues to do its job, what both houses of Congress through legislation have asked them to do: enforce the nation’s immigration laws. Some of the illegal immigrants open-border activists want to alert are turning out to be some very violent people who have done some terrible things.

Jasmine Crockett’s Racist Redistricting Comments Get Fact Checked by Greg Abbott

Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded Sunday to Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett’s claims that the state’s new redistricting maps would silence minority voters, pointing to recent Republican gains among Hispanic, Black, and Asian voters as evidence to the contrary.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday with host Shannon Bream, Abbott addressed remarks Crockett made a day earlier on MSNBC, where she argued the GOP proposal would strip minority communities of political influence.

Democrats in the Texas Legislature have left the state for Democratic strongholds such as New York and Illinois in an effort to block the Republican-backed redistricting plan, which analysts say could result in the GOP gaining as many as five additional seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“First of all, it wouldn’t be a day that ends in the letter Y if Jasmine Crockett didn’t say something racist,” Abbott told Bream.

“But second, her ‘facts’ are wrong, because the facts in Texas are under the maps that we are drawing, four of the new seats will be predominantly Hispanic seats. The problem that Democrats have in the state of Texas is Hispanics, black voters and other voters, they have learned now that the ideas that Democrats stand for are contrary to the ideas that the Hispanic community and black community stand for. They all want secure borders, they don’t want men and women’s sports and they want support for law enforcement.”

Abbott said GOP outreach has increasingly resonated with minority voters in recent election cycles.

“What we are finding is these Hispanics are voting for Republicans,” Abbott said.

Report: Texas Democrat Fugitives Concede, Will Return to Austin

The Texas House Democrats who abandoned their state in protest of the Republican-led redistricting effort will return home after Gov. Greg Abbott (R) took “emergency action” to begin removing the absent legislators as they refused to show up for work.

Multiple sources revealed the news to ABC13 on Tuesday, though the exact date the Democrats will return to the state capitol in Austin was not confirmed. 

The state House had only 95 members present for the second day in a row on Tuesday, with Speaker Dustin Burrows (R) predicting that the session will end and a new one will start assuming there is no quorum on Friday, the outlet noted.

Dem Whistleblower Gives ‘Very Specific’ Information Implicating Adam Schiff

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is facing serious allegations stemming from newly declassified FBI documents that reportedly link him to the approval of leaking classified information in an effort to discredit President Donald Trump.

The information comes from a whistleblower identified as a longtime Democratic staff member on the House Intelligence Committee, whose account is detailed in a 302 report declassified by FBI Director Kash Patel.

The report was among a series of documents recently made public following earlier releases by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

According to the documents obtained by Just The News and handed over to Congress, the whistleblower informed the FBI that Schiff approved the leaking of classified material during a meeting in 2017.
