Jay Jones’ ‘Community Service’ Scandal Is Worse Than You Think

Democrat Jay Jones has found himself in hot water during the final weeks of his campaign to become Virginia’s top law enforcement officer. The closer to Election Day it gets, the scandals seem to keep piling up.

At around the same time he was fantasizing about assassinating Virginia’s former Republican House speaker and wishing death upon his children in 2022, Jones had a truly remarkable run-in with the state’s criminal-justice system. According to recent reports, the Democrat AG candidate is now under investigation for a 2022 reckless driving incident.

By way of background, Jones was clocked going 116 mph in a 70 mph stretch of highway and charged with reckless driving. While other defendants facing the same charge as he faced — with the “same initial hearing date as Jones” — reportedly got jail sentences, Jones got away with a fine and 1,000 hours of community service. (These defendants were even caught driving more slowly than Jones was, according to Cardinal News.)

Supposedly, Jones did that community service in 2023 — 500 hours at “Meet Our Moment” and 500 hours at the Virginia chapter of the NAACP. The first tranche of hours has caused considerable controversy and may be at the heart of the aforementioned criminal investigation.

Meet Our Moment is Jones’ own political action committee, founded to train Democrats to run for office. His hours were certified by an adviser of his, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported. As noted by National Review, social media posts revealed Jones crisscrossed Virginia campaigning for Democrats in 2023, raising questions about whether such activities were counted as part of the 500 hours of “community service” he purportedly conducted with the group.

Perhaps equally interesting, however, is Jones’ “community service” time with the Virginia wing of the NAACP.

In 2023, Jones was a senior associate at the massive law firm known as Hogan Lovells. While there, he was involved in a high-profile lawsuit against the Youngkin administration regarding a dispute over public records pertaining to voting restoration practices for previously convicted felons.

The client Jones and Hogan represented in that case? None other than the Virginia NAACP. (Jones apparently ended work on the case when he started campaigning for state attorney general.)

Much like with Meet Our Moment, it’s unclear how Jones spent his 500 hours with the Virginia NAACP, once again raising questions about whether any of his legal services for the group in its lawsuit against Gov. Glenn Youngkin were counted as “community service.”

These services would seemingly have been provided by Hogan “pro bono,” or for free. But they’re provided for free by the firm’s partnership.

Anonymous donor gives President Donald Trump $130 million dollars to help pay the military affected by the government shutdown orchestrated by the Democrats

President Donald Trump announced that an anonymous billionaire, described by him as a «great friend» and a true patriot, has delivered a check for $130 million directly to the federal government.

This fund is intended to cover any deficit in the salaries of active military personnel, affected by the prolonged government shutdown orchestrated by Democrats in Congress. «He sent us a $130 million check today!» Trump exclaimed, emphasizing that the donor rejects any public recognition.

The announcement took place during an event at the White House, where Trump did not hold back his criticism of the «Democrat-led government shutdown,» which he blamed for jeopardizing U.S. armed forces.»

«He called us the other day and said: ‘I’d like to contribute to any shortfall you have due to the Democrat shutdown. I’d like to contribute personally to any shortfall the military might have, because I love the military and I love the country, and any shortfall, if there is one, I’ll contribute,’» Trump recounted.

This patriotic gesture arrives at a critical moment: the budget deadlock threatens to delay payments to hundreds of thousands of soldiers, reservists, and families, despite a prior executive order from Trump that redirected unused research funds to mitigate the damage.

This donation is not only a financial lifeline but also a reminder of how the private sector—driven by patriotic values—can correct the disasters caused by leftist obstruction.

ARREST HER: Illinois State Rep Margaret Croke Sent Out an Email Doxxing ICE Agents, Lists Their Cars and License Plate Numbers, Putting Agents at Extreme Risk

In a reckless and malicious move that’s drawing fire from conservatives, Illinois State Representative Margaret Croke sent out an email on Friday listing detailed descriptions of vehicles suspected to belong to ICE agents operating in Chicago neighborhoods.

The flyer, titled “Updated List of ICE Vehicles Seen Today,” includes make, model, color, and partial license plate info for cars believed to belong to agents working in the area.

Croke urged recipients to report suspicious activity to hotlines, claiming that ICE actions are “unlawful and undemocratic” and offering resources to connect illegal aliens with attorneys or social services.

Conservatives, including the popular X account Libs of TikTok, slammed it as outright doxxing, claiming it puts a “target on agents’ backs” and helps illegal immigrants evade arrest.

The email encourages community members to record and share info on potential ICE vehicles to “protect someone from either being picked up off the street or unnecessarily and forcibly handled.

Libs of TikTok called for charges against Croke, tagging the Department of Homeland Security and ICE, stating, “She’s putting a target on agents’ backs and helping illegals evade arrest. This is absolutely disgraceful. CHARGE HER.”

The post had gained nearly 9,000 likes in just a couple of hours.

This isn’t an isolated stunt.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is spearheading a similar effort to “unmask” federal immigration agents through her newly announced nonprofit, “The ICE Accountability Project.”

Lightfoot, a one-term mayor and former federal prosecutor, aims to expose agents’ identities and actions, claiming it’s about accountability amid what she calls overreach by the Trump administration.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has put Lightfoot on notice, announcing on Fox News, “She will be getting a letter from us tomorrow to preserve anything she has done as well, to make sure that she’s not violating the law. It appears she is. You cannot disclose the identity of a federal agent — where they live, anything that could harm them.”

The insane actions from Democrats, particularly in “Sanctuary Cities,” have led to a 1,000% increase in assaults on federal officers.

Bondi has not yet commented on Croke’s actions.

Prosecutor who opposed charging Letitia James was fired for allegedly mishandling case information: report

A Virginia federal prosecutor who opposed bringing bank fraud charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James was fired after allegedly mishandling sensitive information related to the case, according to a report.

Beth Yusi, who had worked out of the Norfolk office for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, allegedly sent investigative files containing James’ personally identifying information to her private email account, CNN reported on Friday, citing an internal email.

Yusi, who had been employed by the Justice Department since 2010, was axed earlier this month.

Several media reports suggested Yusi was fired for pushing back against pressure from the Trump administration to charge James

The former assistant US attorney had reportedly authored an internal memo finding that there was no probable cause to file charges against James, who is accused of bank fraud and making a false statement to a financial institution related to her 2020 purchase of Norfolk, Va., property

However, Yusi was dismissed, at least in part, because of her alleged mishandling of case information, sources familiar with her firing told CNN.

NBC Is Helping Run Anti-ICE Ops For Dems

NBC “Propaganda Press” News has an exclusive, and it sent a press release about it to other press so all press can report that a handful of Democrat senators have written a letter. Sure, senators write strongly worded letters all the time — and often they result in no action — but NBC is marketing this letter as a big deal, doing its part to spread Democrat propaganda.

The senators sent the letter — “first provided to NBC News,” according to the press release — to Education Secretary Linda McMahon, “demanding that she step in and ask the Department of Homeland Security to curb its operations around schools.”

It is a classic “do it for the children” ploy.

In a nutshell, the letter, which NBC does not provide a link to, asks the Department of Education to require ICE operations to stay 1,000 feet away from school — that is, nearly three football fields.

Never mind that ICE is in the midst of the messy work of removing the many drug dealers, murderers, and pedophiles the Biden administration allowed into the country, as The Federalist’s M.D. Kittle reported. Democrat letter writers want to slow or stop the progress President Donald Trump’s administration is making in removing these criminals from the streets — for the children.

“Federal agents continue to use unwarranted, excessive levels of force around Chicago, demonstrating an alarming lack of care or regard for the health and wellbeing of children, particularly by conducting unfocused, inflammatory operations within close proximity of school grounds,” the senators wrote in the letter, according to NBC’s press release. “We demand you pressure your colleague, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, to reinstate restrictions on Federal immigration enforcement operations in and around places of education.”

As NBC reported, the senators asserted that “if society can agree that alcohol, tobacco and drugs should be kept at least 1,000 feet away from our schools, surely we can agree that tear gas — a chemical weapon which causes burning, pain, skin inflammation and respiratory distress — and other violent DHS tools and tactics also belong on that list.”

This is not a fair argument. While it would be illegal to provide a child with alcohol, tobacco, or drugs, it is not illegal for police to enforce the law by arresting someone for doing these things in a school zone — or for breaking other laws. This request is trying to stop law enforcement from doing its job.

If ICE must deploy tear gas near a school, cutting recess short is an option. NBC reported that a Chicago school had to move children inside recently after tear gas allegedly drifted onto the playground. It is a temporary nuisance for students, unless teachers make it something more. Inside, children were ”fearful” after the incident, NBC’s press release said.

But there is something more frightening than tear gas drifting onto the playground: being raped, robbed, or assaulted on the walk home from school by a violent criminal who illegally entered the country. Teachers should have used this moment to talk about the consequences people face when they don’t follow the rules. Notably, Tricia McLaughlin, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, told NBC that law enforcement used tear gas “because of violent rioters.”

The letter also apparently details an incident when federal agents allegedly “forcefully dragged two women out of a car in front of a school on the West Side of Chicago, violently detaining them without presenting a warrant, as children and parents watched on in horror.” McLaughlin told NBC that the women “were driving recklessly, including weaving between lanes and putting other motorists at risk. Following the driver abruptly stopping in the middle of traffic near a school, law enforcement approached the vehicle. The occupants refused to exit the vehicle and follow law enforcement commands.” (Another incident worth discussing with children in relation to the consequences of not following the rules).

The letter was signed by Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill.; Angela Alsobrooks, D-Md.; Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev.; Jacky Rosen, D-Nev.; Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.; Cory Booker, D-N.J.; Andy Kim, D-N.J.; and Ed Markey, D-Mass. And other propaganda media quickly repeated the story, just as NBC wrote it, crediting NBC for the information. That is how propaganda spreads, like nitrates on the cool, autumn soil (that is, like crap on dirt, dear citified reader.)

D.C. Construction Is A Problem For Regular People. Democrats Said Nothing Until The East Wing Was Touched

It’s so on brand for Democrats and the dying news media to insist everyone suddenly pay attention to a thing that has no bearing on ordinary Americans, while at the same time ignoring a very similar thing that actually does.

For anyone who hasn’t heard, it’s apparently a national crisis that President Trump is revamping portions of the White House, most notably an entire reconstruction of the East Wing into an immense ballroom and event area. CNN and MSNBC are practically running 24-7 coverage of the project and are very fond of repeating the word “demolition,” as are The New York Times and Washington Post.

“Trump Is Demolishing the Entire East Wing.” — Times

“Stephen Colbert Tears Into the White House Demolition.” — Times

“Why the demolition of the East Wing is so shocking.” — Post

“Trump defends East Wing demolition, raises ballroom price to $300 million.” — Post

Whether any of these people are seriously distraught over a government building’s renovation is beside the point. More important is that once again, they’re showing how manifestly uninterested they are in problems regular people face every day, while obsessing over an issue when it’s something that directly affects their own decadent lifestyles.

Washington, D.C., where I lived for 15 years, is a place that’s constantly under disruptive construction — the roads, the buildings, the parks, the museums, the monuments, and, most grating of all, the Metro subway system. It’s impossible to pick one side of a walkway to commute anywhere in town, because you will inevitably run into a blocked path, steering you to the other side due to construction. It’s not uncommon to have to switch sides multiple times for that reason.

To ride the Metro is to see constant reminders: “Maintenance scheduled — expect delays.” In the time I lived in D.C., there would be periods of months where entire lines of the system were shut down, obstructing and frustrating the work commutes for thousands of locals.

When have you ever heard a Democrat or cable news anchor or anyone at the Washington Post raise the level of concern over that kind of “demolition” the way they are now over a section of the White House? Nobody outside of the lawn gates will even notice it’s happening without volunteering to go and look.

The irony in this stupid outrage is that beginning a major construction project in D.C. might be the most normal thing Trump has done since the start of his second term. The city is nothing if not a perpetual nightmare of hammering and drilling. I’d take offense if it meant shutting down major roadways through the city or a(nother) reduction in service on the Metro, but it doesn’t.

DNC Chair: ‘May Be Nearing’ Moment Where ‘Elections Don’t Matter’ and ‘Resistance Looks Completely Different’

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” DNC Chair Ken Martin stated that the Democratic Party’s job right now is to win elections, and if “we are truly in a dictatorship and an authoritarian regime here has completely shredded the Constitution, then party doesn’t matter, and then elections don’t matter and then the resistance looks completely different” “and we may be nearing” that moment, but for now, their job is winning elections.

Martin said, “[L]et me say to you, what is the role of the Democratic Party in this moment? Our job is to win, to win elections. That is our role. That is our responsibility, and where I have to put my attention and focus, Jason, is on those pieces.”

He added, “If we reach that break the glass moment when all of our democratic institutions have failed us, right? And we are truly in a dictatorship and an authoritarian regime here has completely shredded the Constitution, then party doesn’t matter, and then elections don’t matter and then the resistance looks completely different. But until we reach that moment, and we may be nearing it, Jason, don’t get me wrong, the role of the Democratic Party is singular, to win elections, to recruit candidates in every election up and down the ballot throughout the country, to build power back so we can actually stop this guy.”

Biden Judge Gives Letitia James Her First Win

A Biden-appointed judge gave Letitia James her first win on Friday.

Corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James was arraigned in court in Norfolk, Virginia, on Friday morning.

Letitia James’ federal criminal case was assigned to US District Judge Jamar Walker, a Biden appointee.

Jamar Walker was appointed by Joe Biden in 2023.

James was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia earlier this month.

According to the DOJ, Letitia James was charged with two crimes: Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.

The charges are related to a mortgage loan on a property James owns in Norfolk, Virginia, referred to as “the Perrone Property.”

According to the indictment, James was to use the property as her secondary residence and prohibited its use as a timesharing or other shared ownership arrangement or agreement that requires her either to rent the property or give any other person any control over the occupancy or use of the property.

Letitia James treated her Perrone property like an investment property on her Schedule E form and paid taxes on the rental income, further contradicting her claims of secondary residence.

“If convicted, Letitia James faces penalties including up to 30 years in prison per count, up to a $1 million fine on each count, and forfeiture,” the DOJ said.

On Friday Letitia James filed a motion to dismiss the federal indictment arguing that US Attorney Lindsey Halligan’s appointment as interim US Attorney is in violation of the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.

“Attorney General Letitia A. James, by and through undersigned counsel, pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 12(b) moves this Court to dismiss the Government’s indictment because purported interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan had no authority to bring the charges in this case. As explained further below, Ms. Halligan’s purported appointment as interim U.S. Attorney was invalid under 28 U.S.C § 546 and in violation of the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution,” James’s attorney argued in a motion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

James also asked Judge Jamar Walker to consolidate her motion challenging the appointment of Halligan with James Comey’s motion in a separate case.

Recall that fired FBI Director James Comey also filed a motion to disqualify Lindsey Halligan after he was indicted by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia.

On Tuesday, the Chief Judge of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered Comey’s motion challenging Halligan to be transferred to Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, a Clinton appointee.

On Friday, Judge Jamar Walker granted Letitia James’ request to consolidate her motion with Comey’s similar motion so the Clinton judge can decide whether Lindsey Halligan will be disqualified in both cases.

The fix is in.

Schumer Takes Public Stab At Sanders As Democrats Descend Into Chaotic Political Scuffle

Democrats are already eating their own in Maine — and the Senate race hasn’t even started.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer threw gasoline on an already fiery primary Tuesday by endorsing Gov. Janet Mills for Senate — a move that instantly put him at odds with Bernie Sanders and the party’s progressive base.

“We think that Janet Mills is the best candidate to retire Susan Collins,” Schumer said at a press conference. “She’s a tested two-term governor and the people of Maine have an enormous amount of affection and respect for her.”

But Schumer’s safe, establishment pick enraged the left. Sanders — who’s been boosting populist underdog Graham Platner, a Marine veteran turned oyster farmer — has already blasted party leaders for “wasting millions on an unnecessary & divisive primary.”

Platner, who’s drawn heavy progressive support and hauled in over $3.2 million by the end of September, didn’t mince words either. His campaign torched Schumer’s move as “the establishment backing the establishment,” vowing their guy would win “because he has Mainers behind him.”

The Democratic civil war couldn’t be clearer: Schumer wants the polished, 77-year-old governor who’s led Maine for two terms. Sanders wants the scrappy outsider who calls out the Washington elite — even if his past social media posts have become a political minefield.

Platner has been scrambling to explain a string of crude Reddit comments unearthed by CNN and The Washington Post — including one where he used a slur for the disabled, called himself a “communist,” said “all” cops are “bastards,” and downplayed sexual assault in the military.

Platner’s scandals worsened this week when he revealed he has a tattoo resembling an alleged Nazi symbol.

In a video posted to X, Platner blamed the remarks on his battle with PTSD and insisted the people of Maine know “this is not at all the person that they have come to know, and come to interact with in reality.”

The controversy didn’t stop Sanders from sticking by him, calling Platner “a great working-class candidate.” But Schumer clearly wants none of it — betting that Mills is the Democrats’ best shot at unseating Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who’s gunning for a sixth term.

Anti-Capitalism Progs Are Raking in the Money on the Dem Side

While I can’t speak to what goes on in other countries, I do know that there are a lot of people in the United States who hate capitalism yet somehow seem to be swimming in money. Most of Academia fits that description. Heck, a good portion of the kajillionaires in the entertainment industry kvetch about capitalism while taking quick trips to the French Riviera after they’ve had a bad weekend.

As we are all painfully aware, the Democrats are finally openly embracing the socialism that they’ve had incubating in their dark little hearts for a long time. The ascendant progressive Left is decidedly anti-capitalism, loudly railing against the evil rich whenever they can. They’re also killing it when it comes to the money that’s flowing into the Democratic Party these days.

We’ve read a lot lately about fundraising struggles among the Dems, but they’re not all struggling. This is from Rick:

“The Democratic National Committee has raised $99 million so far this year, not even close to the hundreds of millions of dollars it has been accustomed to raising in recent years,” writes The Free Press’s Gabe Kaminsky.

It’s not just the DNC that’s being shunned. Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the second-ranking Democrat in government, raised just $134,000 during the same reporting period.

Meanwhile, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) raised $4.4 million between July 1 and Sept. 30. According to the most recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, her cash on hand now totals $11.8 million. That cash is going to come in handy when she challenges Schumer for his Senate seat in 2026.

That would be the same Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who’s been out traipsing about the country with commie Bernie Sanders on the “Fight Oligarchy” tour. It would appear that Squeaky won.

Rick reports that other progs are raking it in as well, including Jasmine “F-Bomb” Crockett, the country day academy-educated chick who’s totally down with the struggle. The radical “We Hate the Rich” kids over in Dem Land seem to know an awful lot of rich people. AOC didn’t amass an almost $12 million war chest by getting three-dollar donations from constituents in her Congressional district.
