Democrat Congressional Candidate Arrested After Pulling Firearm on Two Government Workers – Previously Issued Chilling Threat Against Councilman’s Executive Assistant

A crazed Hawaii Democrat achieved his 15 minutes of infamy last week after pulling a gun on public officials. But there were signs of trouble before, including a horrifying threat that was seemingly ignored by police.

The Honolulu Civil Beat reported that 40-year-old Kirill Basin, a candidate for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, was arrested for threatening two Maui County workers around 9:30 am on Friday, before running away and being arrested hours later.

Basin has been charged with Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree.

According to The Honolulu Civil Beat, Basin entered a Maui County government building and brandished his gun during an argument with county workers.

Police, however, were not called for an hour and a half.

Maui Police Chief John Pelletier issued the following written statement after Basin’s arrest:

The Maui Police Department will not compromise public safety, and incidents of this nature are taken extremely seriously in Maui County.

I am extremely proud of the quick response and professionalism displayed by our personnel, which helped ensure a peaceful resolution.

It’s not clear at this point why Basin entered the building or who his alleged victims were. But a possible explanation has arisen.

Basin’s behavior follows another disturbing incident two days prior. Basin had to be escorted out of a town hall meeting after arguing with a council member and his staff.

Basin then confronted the council member’s executive assistant in a parking lot after the town hall, causing the police to intervene again.

But Basin’s history with the executive assistant goes back even deeper, and it’s shocking.

Two days before his arrest, police escorted him from a South Maui town hall meeting after he was involved in an argument with Council member Tom Cook and members of his staff, police said.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday, Cook’s executive assistant, Jared Agtunong, filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against Basin. According to the petition, after police had escorted Basin from the town hall, he confronted Agtunong in the parking lot, requiring police to intervene once again.

That wasn’t the first time Agtunong had come into contact with Basin. According to the restraining order petition, Basin had called Agtunong and sent a series of profane and cryptic texts.

“I did not answer Basin’s phone call, but he left a message telling me that I’m a piece of trash, said I should think of my family, and insisted I call him back,” Agtunong wrote in his petition. “In additional texts sent on the same day, Basin wished me luck with prison, then at 9:00 p.m., Basin’s text said ‘you’re f**ked.’”

This all suggests that Basin has some severe mental health problems that need to be addressed.

Federal Agents Arrest Karen Bass-Linked “Peace Ambassador” — Convicted Murderer and Active 18th Street Gang Member Was Being Paid with Taxpayer Dollars Through NGO Program

Federal law enforcement just exposed another jaw-dropping failure of Los Angeles’ radical “reimagine public safety” experiment under Mayor Karen Bass.

Michael Angel Alvarez, 41, aka “Diablo,” a convicted first-degree murderer and alleged active 18th Street gang member, was arrested by federal agents after being paid over $58,000 last year by a city-contracted nonprofit to serve as a so-called “Peace Ambassador.”

The arrest went down on May 18 near MacArthur Park. LAPD officers responding to a stolen vehicle call detained Alvarez. He reportedly told them he worked for Mayor Karen Bass’s Crisis Response Team (“CRT”).

Take a look at the absolute insanity of this operation, according to the DOJ:

  • The Suspect: A hardened gangster convicted of first-degree murder in 2002. He was sentenced to 50 years to life but was cut loose early by California’s broken justice system. Federal authorities state he is still an active 18th Street gang member who was recently caught on jailhouse phone calls plotting to assault people who broke gang rules.
  • The Scam: Alvarez didn’t just sneak onto the payroll. He was funded through “Healing Urban Barrios” (HUB), a Lincoln Heights-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that secured a lucrative contract with the city.
  • The Taxpayer Cost: Under the guise of a “Peace Ambassador program”—which the city website laughably describes as an initiative to “prevent violence before it starts”—the city of Los Angeles approved a staggering $450,000 from its general fund to flow into this NGO between 2024 and 2027.
  • The Payout: In 2025 alone, this taxpayer-funded NGO handed Alvarez $58,156 to patrol the streets as an unarmed “peacekeeper.”

Federal authorities noted that during the search of “Diablo’s” vehicle, they discovered top-tier, military-grade body armor plates in his trunk — marketed as the highest level of protection available on the civilian market.  Apparently, being a “Peace Ambassador” requires a lot of tactical gear when you are actively running with a cartel-linked street gang.

If convicted, Alvarez would face a statutory maximum sentence of five years in federal prison.

Social Media Users LIGHT UP James Talarico After Hearing the Woke Four-Word Term He Uses to Describe Women

Texas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico managed to go viral for all the wrong reasons on Friday after a SuperPAC uncovered some old clips of him using a weird term to describe women.

Any normal person knows that there are two sexes: male and female. In addition, the terms men and women are used to describe those with male and female body parts.

Talarico, though, is anything but normal. It turns out he has a bizarre four-word term to describe the female race: neighbors with a uterus.

The Lone Star Liberty PAC, which supports Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, released two clips of Talarico saying exactly this.

“Every one of our neighbors with a uterus became the property of the state,” Talarico says to a church audience in the first clip.

“Our neighbors with a uterus need to be able to control their own bodies,” he says in the second clip.

X users quickly lit up Talarico for not being able to use the term woman to describe the female

ELECTION SABOTAGE: Democrat Strategist Convinces Man with SAME NAME as Vulnerable Male GOP Senator to Run Against Him – Both Will Appear on Primary Ballot Together

One of the most vulnerable Republican senators is facing a stunning new threat to his political livelihood from a man with the same name as him after a Democrat strategist pulled off a dirty trick.

Fox News reported that campaign material metadata reveals that Amber Lee, a far-left Democrat consultant, authored a press release announcing a Alaska Senate bid for a “Dan Sullivan” who has nothing to do with incumbent Alaska GOP Senator Sullivan.

The Dan Sullivan whom Lee planted claims that he is running because Senator Sullivan “failed to put Alaska first.”

“For too long, Senator Sullivan has failed to put Alaska first,” Dan Sullivan, a Petersburg resident, said while announcing his candidacy. “When you care about a people and a place, you have a duty to make every sacrifice in your power to protect them.”

“That’s why I’m running.”

Fox News notes that Lee’s consulting firm, Amber Strategies, lists several leftist clients, including Alaska Women’s Ascent.

This group aims to “train women who are pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ rights, pro-union, anti-racist and pro-racial justice” to serve as candidates and volunteers.

The National Republican Senate Committee was rightfully livid over the dirty trick pulled by Democrats.

“Mary Peltola and Chuck Schumer know they can’t beat Senator Sullivan on his record, so they’re resorting to deceitful political maneuvers that attempt to trick Alaskans and buy a seat,” NRSC Committee Spokesperson Nick Puglia told Fox News.

Both Sullivans will appear in Alaska’s ridiculous open primary system, where the top four candidates advance to the general election. This means Alaska voters could be asked to pick TWICE between two people with the same name.

UM…There’s a new theory about the Dem race in Maine…

There’s a new theory about the Democrat race in Maine involving Graham Platner and I thought it was worth posting, considering the source.

There’s no way to know at this point if it will happen, but it’s definitely worth knowing because it is something Democrats like to do when they have a bad candidate (like Biden).

Here’s what Bill Shipley wrote a few minutes ago:

This is getting very curious. These influential voices are coming out on this point VERY LATE. The primary is June 9.

I do not think anything will happen in advance of the primary, and Platner is going to win with no real opponent still in the race.

BUT, under Maine law, if Platner were to drop out after winning the primary, he could be replaced by the Dems on the General Election ballot ONLY IF:

1. He drops out prior to the 2nd Monday in July, and
2. His replacement is named by the 4th Monday in July.

I think we are seeing the unfolding of a plan by the Dem. establishment OUTSIDE of Maine to begin a drumbeat for Platner to exit the race after the primary, and let the Party hand-pick a replacement for the General.

Pro-Tip — always read state law to figure out that plan that might be in the process of being hatched behind closed doors.

Violence and Mayhem Continue at Governor’s ‘Peaceful’ Protest Zone Outside New Jersey ICE Facility

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s “peaceful” protest zone outside a Newark immigration detention center was anything but peaceful on Friday night.

Protestors ignored orders to disperse as the unruly crowd clashed with federal officers and state police, shouting death threats to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel.

Officers eventually deployed tear gas and pepper spray.

“Kill yourself, quit your job, quit your job,” the rabble-rousers chanted at one point, according to New York Post coverage.

“Fuck ICE,” they barked and called the federal officers “murderers.”

As Breitbart News reported Friday, Thursday night’s installment of several days of protests included threats not only against agents but their families.

Some shouted on Thursday, “You’re dead,” and “I’ll kill your whole fucking family.”

“I have your face, motherfucker, you’re dead,” another screamed.

On Friday, ICE agents waded into crowds of protestors, detaining several violent instigators.

Eventually, New Jersey state police on horseback — part of the governor’s new response to the week of mayhem — tried to force the crowd away from the Newark facility. Officers deployed tear gas as state police in full riot gear pushed ahead in a solid line.

Clyburn on Democrats: ‘We Have to Get Back to Some Basics — I Think That the Party Got Too Far’

During an interview with MS NOW’s “The Weekend” panelist Eugene Daniels, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) acknowledged shortcomings in the Democratic Party’s approach to addressing the concerns of black voters.

The longtime South Carolina Democrat called on his party to “get back to some basics.”

“What’s your honest assessment about how if you zoom out, right, not just South Carolina, not just black voters, but how does the party actually change the way that folks view the successes, the failures, and the future that the Democratic Party is promising?” Daniels asked.

Clyburn replied, “I think that we have to get back to some basics. I think that the party got too far. There’s a song that I hear a lot now that emanates from South Carolina, by the way — ‘Boots on the Ground.’ We’ve got to listen to those people who wear those boots that they’re trying to put on the ground. I don’t believe we listen.”

“I have said this, and I really do believe with all my heart: We pay too much attention to the consulting class, and not enough attention to those people, the constituents,” he continued. “Our constituents know what they feel, and we have to pay attention to people’s feelings, like what is said about their conditions. People respond emotionally, and my experiences tell me we do not spend enough time, energy and resources with our ground operations that we need to. I don’t know why we got away from that but I think a lot has to do with these consultants who will get their percentages out of ground operations.”

Tom Steyer, the liberal billionaire Democrat who’s running for governor of California, seems to think that trans athletes in girls’ sports is the biggest issue facing the state.

He talked about this during a recent podcast appearance, and now he has released a video of himself talking with a trans athlete and making his support completely clear.

Steyer is obviously trying to signal his wokeness to the far left base of his party, but his relentless focus on this particular issue makes him look completely out of touch with Californians who care very deeply about more pressing matters for their state.

Veteran Who Graham Platner Said Didn’t ‘Deserve to Live’ Slams Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders for Backing Him 

Graham Platner, the Maine Democrat running for senate who has been plagued with multiple scandals calling his character into question, was recently exposed once again, for mocking a fellow war veteran and saying that he didn’t ‘deserve to live.’

That veteran is a man named Teddy Daniels and he just wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, firing back at Platner for his comments.

This weekend, Daniels appeared on CNN and slammed not only Platner, but Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders for backing Platner, despite all of these awful remarks and controversies.

I mean, think about that. You know, that’s the issue there. It’s just sad that somebody like this is being considered for a position in leadership in the United States Senate.

Jessica Tarlov Accidentally Admits the Democrats’ Biggest Dirty Secret

How do Democrats feel about the new memoir from Jill Biden that’s coming out? Jessica Tarlov, the lone leftist on The Five, isn’t happy at all, and she made no effort to hide her frustration Thursday night. According to Tarlov, Jill is reminding the public of something she desperately wants the country to move on from.

“What makes this very difficult is it’s such an unfair test of elected Democrats, people in work, in Washington, rank and file Democrats, people who donate, who care about these election results,” Tarlov said. “Because we’ve already gone through it, right? Went through the 2024 loss, seeing all the autopsies, now trying to move on, you know, thinking about where the candidates best positioned to win these elections. Moving past having to talk about sundowning — well, at least for Joe Biden, we can talk about it for Trump — and then this is back for no reason. He falls asleep all the time.”

Greg Gutfeld laughed, and Tarlov wasn’t happy about it. “Do not laugh,” she said.

Gutfeld zeroed in immediately on one word Tarlov had slipped in: “sundowning.” She’d applied it to President Donald Trump in passing, apparently hoping it would slide by unnoticed.

“You’re calling Trump sundowning. That is rich — people know what that means,” Gutfeld said. “That is a symptom of Alzheimer’s. Just to be clear.”

There is zero evidence that Trump suffers from any cognitive decline or neurodegenerative disease.

Tarlov pivoted back to her core grievance. “It feels unfair, essentially, at this point, to the party, that if you want to cement any piece of your husband’s legacy, let people move on from this and win some more elections, and then they can point to things and say, like, we’re building on the successes that we saw under the Biden administration. That’s why we’re adding X, Y, or Z thing.”

It was a remarkably candid admission. Tarlov was essentially arguing that Jill Biden is torching whatever remains of Joe’s political legacy by forcing the country to revisit his decline at exactly the moment Democrats are trying to sell voters on a brighter future.
