The Left-Wing Legacy of the Mainstream Media

Over the past eight decades, there have many frauds promoted by the mainstream media.  Perhaps the most notable, and consequential, was the media persuading an overwhelming majority of citizens over the years that their brand of journalism is not only the epitome of a noble profession but one that always strives to be fair and balanced.  But the legacy of the mainstream media is that it has always been the cheerleaders and propaganda arm of the left and the Democrat Party.

The modern-day mainstream media can trace its beginning to the passage of the Communications Act of 1934, which created the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), thus, placing de facto control of the electronic media under the federal government and greatly limiting competition.  Consequently, three networks had a national monopoly on the dissemination of news broadcast over the airwaves for the next 60 years.

Additionally, the dominant members of the print media assumed even greater notoriety and dominance by cooperating with a fascist-sympathizing Roosevelt Administration and their heavy-handed treatment of the media. As radio and later television grew, metropolitan newspapers merged or ceased publication, leading to newspaper monopolies in all but a small handful of cities.  With the rise of the internet, many other less prominent publications were driven into bankruptcy or obscurity.  Thus, the mainstream media as we know it today was born.

As broadcast oligopolies and metropolitan newspaper monopolies advanced in the last century, the management of the leading newspapers, magazines, and broadcast networks found it necessary to initiate the mantra that their profession was the epitome of credibility and integrity. This began when they were unabashedly promoting Franklin Roosevelt and his big government agenda, and accelerated dramatically during World War II when they eagerly embraced a partnership with the federal government to advance the war effort.  This marked the beginning of eight decades of the cozy relationship between the media, totalitarian causes, and the Democrat party.

But during the early years of oligopolistic consolidation, the dominant players in the media willingly became de facto accomplices with not only the Roosevelt administration but the despots in Europe, whom FDR refused to criticize or condemn.  During the 1930’s numerous puff pieces on Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin were published or aired by the mainstream media, even after the Communists and Nazis revealed themselves to be who they were.

Police Could Take Guns from Troops Accused of Domestic Violence Under Proposed Law

Civilian courts and police could confiscate the firearms of service members accused of domestic violence by military authorities under a proposed law being considered by Congress.

The proposal is a bid by House Democratic lawmakers to give more protection to military-connected victims who have been battered, assaulted or stalked. But conservatives are putting up fierce opposition, because they say it would infringe on troops’ Second Amendment right to bear arms.

Supporters are hoping to pass the measure into law this year as part of the annual defense policy bill. Its future remains uncertain because the Senate hasn’t floated any similar domestic violence initiative as part of the bill, which must be negotiated and passed by both chambers.

Progressives, Democrats erupt over Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal: ‘This is disgusting’

Prominent Democrats, progressives, and left-leaning groups erupted Friday following Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal on all charges in his closely watched trial in Kenosha, Wis., calling it a miscarriage of justice.

The 18-year-old Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all five counts, including the two most serious of intentional homicide, in last year’s shootings during violent unrest in Kenosha. Rittenhouse successfully argued he acted in self-defense when he wounded one man and shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, D., fumed over the verdict.

“Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum are victims. They should be alive today. The only reason they’re not is because a violent, dangerous man chose to take a gun across state lines and start shooting people. To call this a miscarriage of justice is an understatement,” he said.

Democratic Rep. Adriano Espaillat, N.Y., called Rittenhouse a “murderer” whose “white tears” prevented justice, calling “our system is terribly broken.” Rittenhouse was widely mocked on the left when he cried on the stand while testifying about the shootings last week.

Left-wing MSNBC contributor and former Obama aide Ben Rhodes weighed in, calling it a “very dark message” to other “heavily armed would-be vigilantes.” Rittenhouse was repeatedly called a vigilante and even a murderer by left-leaning pundits in the volatile coverage of the emotional case.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee staffer Dyjuan Tatro tweeted, “No justice, no peace,” and added that the “American legal system is rooted in racism and functions to uphold white supremacy.

San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin criticized the verdict as well, and a “heartbroken” Democratic Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., called the verdict “white supremacy in action.”

“Depressing. And pathetic,” said former Biden deputy press secretary TJ Ducklo.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece Meena Harris wrote, “I have no words. This is disgusting.”

An Edgar Allan Poe horror story resonates in a time of COVID and vaccines

In 1842, Edgar Allan Poe wrote a horror story entitled The Masque of the Red Death. It turns out to be a very powerful metaphor for what the Democrat party is doing with COVID and the vaccines in America, in 2021.

In the story, a mysterious plague that causes people to bleed to death is abroad in the land. Prince Prospero takes over a walled and gated abbey and fills it with his rich friends so that they can avoid the Red Death that is bringing so much misery to the land. Safe behind the abbey’s walls, Prospero organizes a lavish, masked costume ball that will be held in seven different rooms, each decorated in a different color.

Our modern Democrat rulers, who feel so superior to us, are having their own lavish parties, whether in Martha’s Vineyard, in expensive restaurants such as the French Laundry, or at a Getty heiress’s wedding, while the hoi polloi couldn’t even attend a funeral or say goodbye to loved ones. Now, we need permission to work or shop. And in 2021, the masks are for you to wear, not the elites.

In Poe’s story, the seventh room is different from the rest. The walls are black but the stained glass windows are red. The combination sheds a garish light upon the guests, making them quite grotesque in appearance.

The partiers in the black room become inexplicably uneasy whenever the ebony clock rings in the hour, so the dancing stops and the band stops playing. When the bells stop, the guests start to feel foolish and vow not to be alarmed when the clock strikes again, and yet they grow uneasy with each hour’s bells.

In 2021 America, instead of a clock, we have the diminutive Dr. Fauci sounding the alarm in perfect harmony with the MSM constantly reminding us about the latest COVID statistics and offering dire predictions. When these predictions don’t come to pass, we are temporarily relieved until the next hour’s alarms, news, and predictions make us apprehensive all over again.
