DOJ Opens Bombshell Probe Into Soros-Backed Fairfax DA Accused of Favoring Violent Illegals

The Trump Justice Department has turned its spotlight on one of George Soros’s most controversial political beneficiaries, Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano, as reported by RedState.

The long-criticized prosecutor is now under federal investigation for allegedly offering sweetheart deals to violent illegal immigrants while going soft on public safety for everyday Virginians.

It’s been quite a week for Democrats in Virginia. While FBI agents raided the offices of state Senator Louise Lucas in a major corruption probe involving cannabis dispensaries, the DOJ decided to look into Descano’s sentencing practices in Northern Virginia.

According to the department’s announcement, the Civil Rights Division will examine whether Descano’s office discriminated against U.S. citizens by granting preferential treatment to illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes.

Utah Supreme Court Justice Who Had Romantic Relationship with Leftist Redistricting Lawyer Involved in Helping Democrats Steal Congressional Seat Resigns

The Utah Supreme Court Justice who had a romantic relationship with a leftist lawyer involved in helping the Democrats steal a congressional seat has resigned.

In November, the Utah Third District Court struck down the congressional map crafted by the Republican-led state legislature, labeling it an unconstitutional “gerrymander” and replacing it with a map drawn by left-wing plaintiffs.

The Democrats gained a seat in bright red Utah.

The Utah Supreme Court did not block the new congressional map that gave Democrats a seat.

Last month, it was revealed that Utah Supreme Court Justice Diana Hagen had an inappropriate relationship with a man named David Reymann, a leftist redistricting attorney who helped the Democrats take a congressional seat amid the gerrymandering wars.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox and other state officials launched an investigation into Hagen’s relationship with Reymann.

KSL reported last month:

Utah’s governor, Senate president and House speaker are launching an investigation into Supreme Court Justice Diana Hagen and allegations that she had a relationship with an attorney arguing cases before the high court.

Those allegations are detailed in a complaint submitted late last year to both Chief Justice Matthew Durrant and the Judicial Conduct Commission.

The complaint, which was obtained exclusively by KSL through a public records request, came from a Provo-based attorney who said Hagen’s ex-husband told him the justice had exchanged “inappropriate” text messages with David Reymann, one of the attorneys involved in a case about redistricting, which led to Utah getting a new congressional map.

Hagen strongly denies allegations of an inappropriate relationship of any kind. Reymann also called the allegations “false.” He does outside legal work for KSL and as an attorney for the Utah Media Coalition, of which KSL is a member.

On Friday, Governor Cox announced that he received a resignation letter from Diana Hagen.

AOC’s Comments About Black Americans Reminds Us Why Nobody Should Take Progressives Seriously

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) made a series of silly comments during a Thursday appearance on comedian Ilana Glazer’s podcast.

But one of the most egregious statements she made came when she said black Americans created democracy.

“There are— there are very few, like, real archetypes of, in my opinion, truly what America is all about,” she said. “I think about the civil rights and voting rights movement and how Black Americans really created democracy in this country. That’s right. That’s exactly right. How they literally made something from nothing.”

AOC continued, touting the achievements of Native Americans and immigrants. “It is just beyond me. I think about how, like, Native people have survived and preserved and treasured their culture,” she said. “I think about— and I think many of us think about immigrants, which, if you aren’t from one of those first two populations, you are certainly from largely the third. And so many of us, like, have our story of our parents, our grandparents, our great-great-grandparents, and so on and so forth, and who, like, come and make something from nothing. And I think that’s a big part of also the most inspiring elements of what America is all about.”

Here’s a question: What do you get when you cross historical ignorance with virtue signaling? That’s right, folks, you get someone like AOC.

For starters, America is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. Our government has democratic elements in that we elect our leaders, but it’s not a direct democracy.

But that’s not the real issue here. The problem with AOC’s comments is that black people weren’t involved in the establishment of American “democracy.” However, they were involved in forcing the country to live up to the Democratic ideals it claimed to champion.

PRIDE GOETH BEFORE THE FALL: Hakeem Jeffries’s Big Mouth Comes Back to Bite Him After Virginia’s 10-1 Democrat Gerrymander Gets Nuked

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries learned the hard way that it’s a bad idea to shoot your mouth off before the process has concluded after Democrats suffered a devastating redistricting setback today.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Virginia Supreme Court has overturned the Democrat Party’s rigged gerrymandering referendum today in a 4-3 decision, ruling the entire sleazy process to sneak it onto the ballot was unconstitutional from the start.

This is the latest devastating blow to radical Democrats’ blatant attempt to rewrite Virginia’s congressional maps mid-decade and hand themselves a super-majority in the U.S. House by turning the state from a competitive 6-5 split into a laughably unfair 10 Democrats to 1 Republican slaughter.

Virginia voters previously approved the state legislature and Governor Abigail Spanberger’s wicked power grab in a narrow vote last month.

The day after the vote, Jeffries strutted to the podium to spike the football:

“Our message to Florida Republicans is ‘F around and find out,’ Jeffries gloated. “If they go down the road of a DeSantis dummymander, Florida Republicans are going to find themselves in the same situation as Texas Republicans!”

We Need to Stop Letting Democrats Casually Commit Felonies With No Consequences

It’s incredibly demoralizing to law-abiding, rule-following, normal Americans to watch Democrats publicly commit crimes without ever getting in trouble for it.

I’m not talking about the indictments and prosecutions of high-level Democrats on charges that may or may not hold up in court — the Jim Comeys and Letitia Jameses. These prosecutions may or may not be at least partly politically motivated, but Democrats will always think that’s all they were. And the refined legal arguments for conviction stand little chance of success in leftist jurisdictions like Washington and New York.

I’m talking about Democrat politicians who knowingly flout the law, brazenly and openly, on video for all to see. These people are undeniably committing serious, felony-level crimes which all Americans can see with their own eyes.

Democrats have always been the lawless party. Look what they did with mass illegal immigration. But back then, they at least pretended to have legal justification. For example, their gross distortion and semi-execution of asylum laws was met halfway by international NGOs coaching the aliens on exactly what to say to give it all that fig-leaf of defensibility.

Also, failing to enforce the law and claiming it’s a policy argument is not the same thing as brazenly, openly breaking the law.

Let’s start with Tennessee State Rep. Justin Pearson. Yesterday, when the House voted to redistrict itself (potentially taking the state from 9-1 Republican to Democrat representation in the U.S. House to 10-0), Pearson threw quite the fit. Action News 5 sets the scene:

Cameras in the Tennessee Capitol captured a tense moment between State Representative Justin J. Pearson (D-Memphis) and state troopers who were detaining his brother Thursday, moments after GOP lawmakers passed a new congressional map that split the brothers’ city into three districts.

Before state Republicans passed the newly proposed congressional map on Thursday, protests erupted in the House chamber, prompting Tennessee Highway Patrol to remove demonstrators.

“Get the f*** back!” Justin is heard shouting at officers as he and his brother, KeShaun Pearson, were being escorted out of the House chambers.

The Memphis lawmaker could be heard raising his voice at one particular trooper as the crowd moved outside. “Boy! The f*** is wrong with you?! The f*** is wrong with you?! Stupid m***********…”

Troopers were seen on video bringing at least one other person into custody.

Pearson hugged KeShaun and told him he was proud of him before troopers took him away.

California Screamin’: Media Begins Taking Notice of Dem Disaster

A funny thing happened on the way to the (Kia) Forum. The media has begun to take notice of the results emerging from decades of Democrat rule in the Golden State. And suddenly, California dreaming looks a lot more like California screaming – and even the lockstep media can’t ignore it. 

Democrats have only themselves to blame, not just for the disaster they have made of the state but also in providing the catalyst for the national spotlight on it. In the gubernatorial race, a flood of high-profile Democrats jumped into the jungle primary – also a Democrat innovation – while Republicans had more discipline and kept it to two main candidates, Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco. The possibility and near-probability of a vote split on the Left made the potential for a Hilton-Bianco runoff so novel and interesting that the national media couldn’t resist it. And with that spotlight on California comes scrutiny over just how badly Gavin Newsom and two generations of Democrat-only leadership have ruined the state.

Today, Axios takes particular notice of what it calls “the ultimate paradox of Democratic rule,” which the rest of us would call the utterly predictable results. Axios also links the high-profile mayoral race in Los Angeles, with the context of failures in every aspect of governance:

The two most consequential races in California have devolved into twin spectacles, with years of visible dysfunction hollowing out Democrats’ case for competent leadership.

Why it matters: California is the ultimate paradox of Democratic rule. A state of immense wealth, innovation and cultural power is increasingly unable to deliver the basics of housing, public safety and disaster response.

The big picture: Those failures have been building for years.

  • But COVID and last year’s catastrophic fires have transformed long-simmering frustration with California governance into a visceral public indictment of the people running the state — one now playing out in the races for governor and Los Angeles mayor.

These failures have indeed been building for years, but the national media has never given it much notice until now. The Protection Racket Media has given Gavin Newsom in particular a pass for it despite his antics as an absentee governor. The media loves to feature him as a Temu Trump and a podcaster while almost literally playing Nero while Los Angeles burned last year. Newsom’s COVID policies turned out to be disastrous, too, so bad in fact that he got caught several times violating them for his own personal desires.

New York Turns Blind Eye to Crazy Man Terrorizing Bronx Apartment Building

Things in New York City are not good, and getting worse under the Zohran Mamdani administration. Democrats make deliberate choices to lower the quality of life for law-abiding citizens in order to prop up dangerous, violent, and deviant criminals. In one Bronx apartment building, residents are being terrorized by a violent “transgender” person named Anthony Orozco, and the government doesn’t seem interested in ending his reign of terror.

A cross-dressing “tenant from hell” has terrorized a Bronx apartment building by wildly waving around weapons, masturbating in a hallway and almost causing a catastrophe when he turned on all his gas burners, according to footage and neighbors.

The off-the-rails renter apparently wears an array of wigs when harassing neighbors and hasn’t paid rent in more than a year at the East 214th Street building in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, according to the building management company and apartment residents.

But management can’t give him the boot just yet as building residents live in fear.

“The blonde wig, he messes with me. The pink wig, he messes with the guy on the second floor. The red wig, he messes with the third floor,” tenant Leonia Clemente, 44, told The Post.

Democrats Say ‘Heil Platner!’

With the recusal of ancient Governor Janet Mills—she was just too normal to compete in today’s slippery-slope-to-totalitarianism Donkey Party—Maine’s Democrats are about to nominate a guy who generates more punchlines than a Don Rickles roast. He’s really got it all. He’s stupid, offensive, a spoiled rich kid, a commie, and so much more. His schtick is that he’s just a working-class oysterman, a stubble-bearded blue-collar guy who’s going to give all those billionaires who are oppressing Mainers what for. But when anybody thinks of him, they’re thinking of him as Herr Oberstoysterfuhrer.

You know, the guy with the Nazi tattoo.

Let’s understand that it’s not just a Nazi tattoo. It’s a Nazi tattoo, squared. The swastika was not enough for this guy. He had to take it to the next level. He had to go get the Totenkopf, which is the symbol of the guys who ran the concentration camps, ground into his pecs. He didn’t just get a pin from one of their caps and keep it in a drawer. It’s not on a T-shirt. He lay back and endured considerable physical pain to have somebody etch it into his skin forever. And again, it’s not enough for him to be showing solidarity with the Nazis as he goose-steps across the stage. He’s got to show solidarity with the specific Nazis who specifically murdered the Jews specifically. But see, that’s on-brand, because he doesn’t like the Jews very much. And Jews, don’t you feel special, because he doesn’t seem to like anybody. Thank you, Internet, where nothing ever dies. That’s how we know how he feels about blacks, gays, Christians, women who say “No,”and Mainers. Summing it up, he’s not a fan.

But hey, maybe we’re being a little hard on him. To be sure, he’s got some excuses about why it’s not his fault that he was running around with a Nazi tattoo for most of his adult life. After all, who among us hasn’t spent a couple of decades with a symbol of genocidal mass murder imprinted just underneath his right nipple? Well, all of us, but let’s hear Himmler out. He claims he had no idea what it was. Sure, for decades he had no idea what the thing he paid money for some guy to grind into he flesh was. When he saw “Schindler’s List,” whose happy ending ruined it for him, he must have thought it looked cool and failed to connect the dots.

Democrat Policies Ruin Everything

When I first moved to Baltimore after college, way back in 2001, I was pretty well stuck in the city and DC, as I lived near the train station in Baltimore and worked near it in DC and had no car. I walked to a small, local grocery store and could, on occasion, borrow a car from a friend for a trip to the suburbs to go to a Target or Best Buy on the weekend. It was like a field trip outside my cage.

One place to go was Towson, north of the city, and the Towson Town Center. It was a mall, but an “upscale” mall with higher-end stores and a classy feel to it and the immediate area. 

Well, times have changed and the Town Center is a shell of what it once was. Local media describe it this way: “Shoppers who once packed Towson Town Center say the mall has changed dramatically in recent years, with crime concerns and a growing number of vacant storefronts reshaping what was long one of the region’s premier shopping destinations.”

Liberal policies ruin everything.

I haven’t been to Towson for more than a decade, so I can’t personally attest to how bad it feels, but reports have the mall with a 26 percent vacancy rate, which will give the impression of a ghost town. There are few things more depressing and eerie than walking through an empty mall and the connected parking garage, so once the downward spiral starts, it is hard to stop.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, Apple announced it would be closing its location in the mall and the local Democrats began to pay attention. A random clothing store or cell phone or jewelry kiosk closing is one thing, but Apple? That’s news.

Apple stores are very popular, but even a popular store can’t justify continued existence in a dying mall in a city being choked by liberal policies.

The Democrats, both in the U.S. House and Senate, from Maryland, are terrified to be seen (rightly) as the reason the Apple store is closing, so they sprang into action. Rather than addressing the overall state of taxes and crime – it’s amazing how people being robbed make others not want to go to where they are being robbed, and going soft on retail theft only encourages more retail theft and makes staying in business, frankly, stupid. Apple is not stupid.

Almost Half the 3,500 Criminals Former NC Dem Gov. Roy Cooper Released Went on to Reoffend — and Now He’s Running for Senate

More than one thousand criminals who were released back into the streets on former Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D-NC) watch went on to reoffend, according to an analysis of those released.

Cooper’s administration released roughly 3,500 criminals back onto the streets during the coronavirus pandemic after being sued by the ACLU and the NAACP, which claimed it was cruel to leave inmates detained due to the risk of catching the illness.  At the time, Rev. Dr. T. Anthony Spearman, President of the North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP, put it this way: “We cannot leave our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated — and who are disproportionately black and brown — to die behind bars during this global emergency.”

Then-Gov. Cooper ultimately signed a settlement, resulting in the release of these criminals.

However, Cooper, now vying for a Senate seat, placed the list of released prisoners sealed under court order. As his Republican challenger Michael Whatley explained to Breitbart News Daily, he sealed it so no one could see it, but assured North Carolinians that no violent criminals were released. The North Carolina legislature has since been able to secure that list, which shows that Cooper did, in fact, lie to his own people. He released murderers and rapists alike, and over 50 of the released criminals were serving life sentences.

Speaking of Cooper, Whatley said, “The fact is that he released 51 people who were serving life sentences at the time. The fact is that he released hundreds of violent criminals, rapists, pedophiles. I mean, it was, it was really a horrific list of people that he released at the time.”

And it gets worse.
