Young People Yearning for Socialism and AI Governance Is a Dangerous Proposition

Socialism has failed every time it has been tried because it is impossible for a group of people to implement a centralized governing apparatus capable of effectively organizing society. 

Heretofore, most people have resented and rejected the yoke of socialism, sometimes after long struggles, because collectivism is also antithetical to individual autonomy, free will, human nature, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is not the case in the United States. Today, more than 30 years after the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, young Americans want socialism. 

According to new polling conducted by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute, which included 1,496 likely voters aged 18 to 39, more than half of young Americans want a democratic socialist to win the White House in 2028.

Likewise, more than half of those polled have a favorable impression of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, and nearly 60 percent support socialist policies like a nationwide rent freeze and government-run grocery stores in every town.

There are many reasons why socialism appeals to young Americans. 

First and foremost, young people are not being taught about the dark history of socialism. Second, they are misled into believing that socialism is superior to free-market capitalism. Third, they are brainwashed into believing that collectivism is more righteous, fair, and just than personal freedom. Fourth, they feel that the American dream is dead and socialism is the solution to the cost-of-living crisis they face.

Nearly three-in-four young likely voters think the cost of housing is at a crisis level, and only 22 percent think they will be better off than their parents. 

At this point in time, given the economic headwinds they face, coupled with their ignorance of socialism, it makes sense that an alarming portion of young Americans want socialism.

Zohran Mamdani Has No Idea How He’s Going to Fund ‘Free’ Buses in New York City 

Zohran Mamdani, the new Democratic Socialist (communist) mayor-elect of New York City clearly has no idea how he is going to pay for all of the supposedly ‘free’ buses he has promised to voters.

He was recently pressed on this issue by a reporter, and when he could not answer the funding question, he simply said that it’s more important that they get it done, not how they fund it.

That’s not how things work in reality.

MAMDANI: Well, I think the mayor will find that he’ll have a tough time trying to stymie the momentum that we have as a campaign and as a movement, because more than a million New Yorkers came out to vote for our vision of making the city more affordable. I know that’s difficult for the mayor because he ran an administration where, for four years, he made it more difficult for those New Yorkers to afford this city.

And even one of the people he floated appointing to the Rent Guidelines Board is a star of a show that I think is called Selling New York, which in some ways is a description of what Eric Adams tried to do.

MANNARINO: But if he does it, does that put a foil — or at least a pause — on freezing the rent?

MAMDANI: I think it’s an obstacle, but it’s one that I think we can overcome.

MANNARINO: And the other one — talking about fast and free buses, and your meeting with the governor. I’ve heard you say many times that you don’t want to take money away from the MTA — you want to put money back in. And it’s something she agrees with, right? “We don’t want to take away money from the MTA.”

How are you getting that $700 million to make the buses free into the MTA if she’s not for raising taxes?

MAMDANI: You know, I think the two clearest ways to raise that money is through raising the state’s corporate tax to match New Jersey. A lot of this is still a case to be made — whether it’s the corporate tax or the personal income tax on those who make more than a million dollars a year. I think these are the clearest ways.

I’ve also said that if there are other ways to raise this funding, the most important fact is that we fund it — not the question of how we do it, but that we do it.

Mamdani Under Fire Over Lavish Vacation Just Days After Election

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is under fire after reports surfaced that he jetted off to a lavish political conference in Puerto Rico just days after his election win.

The timing has sparked outrage as the nation faces the longest government shutdown in history.

Critics say Mamdani’s decision reveals where his real priorities lie.

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) blasted the socialist mayor-elect for heading to the upscale SOMOS Conference instead of focusing on working families in crisis.

“If Zohran Mamdani is truly serious about helping working families, he wouldn’t be jetting off to a luxury resort the moment he wins an election,” Lawler told Fox News.

Reports from Politico and City & State confirm that Mamdani is set to attend a reception hosted by New York Attorney General Letitia James at the El Caribe Hilton. The beachfront hotel boasts 17 acres of tropical landscaping, nine restaurants, and an oceanfront pool complex.

Fox News said it obtained an invitation proving Mamdani’s attendance at the Thursday night event. The conference schedule includes luncheons and panels with titles like “Celebrating Human Services Together” and “Workforce Development Through Rising Communities.”

The event will wrap up with a “Toes in the Sand Beachfront Party,” according to the program.

Lawler didn’t stop there, suggesting that other top Democrats like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) might also be attending, per Trending Politics.

“If so, why? Who’s looking out for New Yorkers while they’re on the beach?” Lawler said.

IRONY: Zohran Mamdani’s Victory Party Featured a CASH Bar With Very Expensive Drinks

After months of promising the voters of New York City all kinds of free stuff, Zohran Mamdani’s post-election victory party featured a cash br with very pricey drinks. How’s that for irony?

People who showed up were probably expecting some free treats, and not just because it was a party for Mamdani. It’s pretty standard for an event like this to feature an open bar, at least for part of the evening.

This may be a metaphor for things to come under the new mayor. Won’t it be funny if that’s the case?

Zohran Mamdani’s freebie-filled agenda didn’t extend to his victory night party that featured a pricey cash bar for his throngs of supporters – including $13 beers.

The jubilation at the Brooklyn Paramount was fueled by Mamdani’s win over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa – as well as espresso martini coolers that reportedly cost $22 and $15 glasses of Riesling white wine.

The music venue’s menu – including PBR beers at $13, Montauk Summer Ale at $16, Indian Wells Chardonnay for $15 and shaker cup cocktails that cost as much as $22 – was posted on X by Politico reporter Jeff Coltin Tuesday night.

Hampton Water Wine cost $13 while the Paramount old fashioned went for $22 a pop.

Non-alcoholic drinks and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs were a more modest $12 and $10, respectively.

What The Democratic Socialists Are Demanding From Mamdani Is Truly Terrifying

According to leaked documents, the New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America views Zohran Mamdani’s victory as a springboard for a sweeping anti-Israel crusade. The group’s “Anti-War Working Group” drafted a list of a dozen “demands” urging the incoming mayor to punish Israel financially and diplomatically. The proposals call for New York City to end all contracts with firms that do business with Israel and to withdraw city funds from any banks financing the Jewish state. The internal planning document paints a clear picture of how far-left activists intend to push City Hall under Mamdani’s leadership.

The five-page screed was distributed at the group’s Nov. 2 public meeting, and reveals the DSA’s NYC chapter has been plotting since at least late September on how to best to ensure the pro-Palestine, Israel-hating Mamdani fully supports its anti-Israel agenda once he’s sworn in as mayor in January — and doesn’t buckle to political pressure.

The leaked document doesn’t stop at cutting contracts or pulling city funds. It goes even further, outlining a wish list that reads like an antisemitic manifesto. Among the demands: the city would divest its pension funds from Israeli bonds and securities, and ban Israeli products from the network of city-run grocery stores Mamdani has proposed creating. It also calls for investigations into real estate agents accused of “hosting illegal sales of stolen lands in the West Bank,” and for revoking the tax-exempt status of nonprofits that raise money for the Israel Defense Forces.

The group’s ambitions go beyond economics. It wants the NYPD to end all training programs with what it calls the “Israeli Occupation Forces,” and even insists that New York City authorities arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and active IDF soldiers for “war crimes” should they set foot in the city. The final demand urges the dismantling of the NYC-Israel Economic Council, which was established under outgoing Mayor Eric Adams to strengthen economic ties between New York and Israel.

“Well at least the DSA mask is off,” said state Assemblyman Kalman Yeger, a conservative Brooklyn Democrat and Orthodox Jew. “This was never about affordability, free buses or anything else. This was always about Jew hatred.

“With every municipal issue facing New York City’s government, the DSA doesn’t care about the state of our schools, streets, parks, subways, city budget or anything else. They care about Israel — Israel and only Israel.

“At least now they can stop trying to deny their antisemitism; most New Yorkers aren’t stupid,” said Yeger.

Zohran Mamdani, a longtime supporter of the anti-Israel BDS movement, whose father Mahmood Mamdani sits on an advisory group that regularly accuses Israel of “genocide,” spent the campaign trail publicly condemning antisemitism and cozying up to select Jewish leaders to secure political cover — a blatantly obvious scheme to cover up his true intentions.

Trump Is Not To Blame For Democrats Electing Violent Extremists

While liberal America is justifiably triumphant about Tuesday night’s election results, a lot of professionals are quietly worried about extremism infecting the party. Certainly, electing a mayor of New York who’s an unfortunate hellbroth of communism, Islamism, and “defund the police,” is not someone you want defining your party nationally.

And then there’s the problem of Jay Jones, the Attorney General-elect of Virginia, who won handily despite being caught sending text messages wishing death on a Republican colleagues’ kids — and this wasn’t some flippant message. After he did this, he called up his colleague on the phone to further argue his point about needing to watch kids die in order to make political progress. He also appears to have deceived the state and faked community service hours as part of a punishment for being caught driving 116 mph.

Despite this, no notable national Democrat called for Jones to withdraw from the race. Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger refused withdraw her endorsement of Jones, and Virginia Senator and former vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine also continued to support him.

Further, Northern Virginia, where the bulk of the state’s votes are, is comprised of the Washington, D.C. suburbs. It’s perhaps the most politically attuned area of the country, so it’s nearly impossible to make the case that voters were somehow unaware of Jones’ conduct. Jones was also running against a moderate incumbent Hispanic Republican whose tenure in office was scandal free, so voters really had no excuse to justify voting for Jones.

I live in Northern Virginia, and much to my own discomfort, there’s no way to get around the fact Jones owes his victory to a bunch of my liberal neighbors deciding in the middle of a government shutdown triggered by congressional Democrats that they’re fine with wishing death on children if it helps protect the cushy federal jobs and lucrative government contracts that make Northern Virginia one the wealthiest areas of the country.

Mamdani: NYC Will Arrest ICE Agents. City in Danger of Trespassing Multiple Federal Laws.

In keeping with his Marxist campaign platform, New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani will apparently have his cops arrest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

He didn’t use those words, but he did strongly imply it, as does his platform, which itself says he will put New York into rebellion and insurrection against the federal government.

Whether President Donald Trump will have Mamdani arrested if he interferes with ICE, as he promised in June, remains to be seen. But that might just happen. Mamdani’s campaign literature certainly seems to say he is willing to violate at least five federal statutes.

Mamdani’s Platform

Mamdani’s platform is clear on the immigration question: The city will harbor illegals and block ICE from arresting and deporting them. It vows to “end any cooperation” with the agency and “get ICE out of all city facilities.” That includes the city’s Rikers Island jail complex, which Mamdani plans to close anyway.

The reason: Cooperation “is not about making New York safer, but about tearing families apart and throwing our communities into disarray,” his website says:

The Mamdani administration will end this collaboration immediately and ensure all City-owned or City-leased facilities remain protected from Trump’s deportation efforts. The administration will also ensure that no City resources are used for immigration enforcement. … Overall, sanctuary laws make us safer, including by allowing undocumented people to talk to the police.

Mamdani promised to spend $165 million for illegals to get lawyers, and to “protect all personal data from other jurisdictions.” That means the city will not tell the government when it has arrested an illegal alien.

During his campaign, he vowed to “kick the ‘fascist ICE’ out of New York City.” The Big Apple, he said, will be “Trump Proof.”

Billionaire Alex Soros Hails Socialist Zohran Mamdani’s Victory: ‘The American Dream Continues’

Alex Soros, the son of leftist billionaire megadonor George Soros, on Tuesday hailed socialist Zohran Mamdani’s election to become the next mayor of New York City.

“So proud to be a New Yorker! The American dream continues! Congrats, Mayor Zohran Mamdani,” Soros wrote, sharing a picture of him and Mamdani.

George Soros in 2023 handed control over the family’s $25 billion-plus philanthropic enterprise that bankrolls leftist causes, otherwise known as the Open Society Foundations.

Breitbart News’s John Binder reported that the Open Society Foundations “partially funded” the organization behind a rally for accused MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Binder wrote:

As Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were readying to take custody of Abrego Garcia on Monday, the far-left group CASA held a rally in support of the accused human smuggler — who has also been accused of MS-13 gang membership, domestic violence, and abuse of women.

CASA’s Lydia Walther-Rodriguez translated at the rally for Abrego Garcia, who said he is a victim of President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts.

As Breitbart News has long reported, Soros’s Open Society Foundations have thrown millions at CASA to advocate for mass immigration over the years. In 2023, the Open Society Foundations awarded CASA a $250,000 grant and CASA in Action, the group’s political action committee (PAC), with $1.6 million.

In August, President Donald Trump called for George and Alex Soros to be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act due their alleged support of violent protests in the United States.

CNN’s Van Jones among those raising alarm at Mamdani’s instant ‘character switch’ after winning power

Lefty luminary Van Jones was among those raising alarm at Democratic socialist mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s rage-filled victory speech, noting his instant “character switch” at winning power.

A roaring Mamdani wasted no time in claiming a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and taunting President Trump as he rallied his fired-up supporters soon after winning Tuesday night.

Jones was quick to note live on CNN that the 34-year-old’s triumphant demeanor was a far cry from the cool, calm and collected candidate seen on the campaign trail.

“I think he missed an opportunity. I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech,” Jones told a post-election CNN panel.

New York City Council Member Wants Almost $200 Million to Defend Illegal Immigrants From ICE

A member of the city council in New York recently outlined a plan to allocate almost $200 million in taxpayer funds to be used to legally defend illegal immigrants from ICE and the Trump administration.

If you watch the video below, it is crystal clear that this woman and the people like her believe that their power supersedes the power of the federal government and federal immigration laws.

It’s almost like these people think that New York City is a country within the country and that it belongs to them.

NYC Council Member Tiffany Cabán, a Democratic Socialists of America member and one of Zohran Mamdani’s closest allies, says the possible deployment of the National Guard to New York City is reason to triple the city’s immigration defense budget.

“What we witnessed in Los Angeles, Chicago, and elsewhere this year is nothing less than a full scale assault on democracy.”

“Federal troops sent onto city streets to serve Donald Trump’s fascist agenda and terrorize our immigrant siblings.”

“They’re looking for any pretext, any opportunity to invade our streets under the banner of ‘security.’”

Officials from the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) then cited Vera Institute of Justice data showing it would cost $188.5 million to “provide services to every immigrant New Yorker,” broken down as $145 million for free legal counsel and $43.5 million for other immigration services.

In June, the city doubled this budget to about $120 million, and now MOIA wants multi-year contracts and even more money—with Cabán urging that these networks operate “with the broadest, lowest barrier access to dollars as soon as possible.”
