A man went to prison for assaulting me. DC Police crime stats show he was never arrested

Five years ago, I was violently attacked and sexually assaulted in broad daylight in Washington, D.C., by a homeless man. He served time in federal prison for what he did to me. But if you look for evidence that the attack happened in the city’s crime statistics, you won’t find it.

The truth of what happened to me and the D.C. government’s role in it is as much a public scandal as it is a personal trauma. D.C. police covered up the unspeakable wrong that the stranger did to me. Even though a judge sentenced my attacker to hard time in prison, D.C. police leadership would rather deceive the public and appear less dangerous than list mine and countless other sexual assaults on their website.

The extent of crime in D.C. has been debated by the Left and Right since President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he would take federal action to crack down on problems in the District of Columbia.

But if the public wants to have an honest conversation about crime in D.C., the MPD will first have to be honest about how prevalent crime is. Without MPD’s honesty about the crimes that it has chosen to hide from its public-facing stats page, the White House cannot get an accurate picture of how bad the problem actually is and adequately fix it.

For me, the story began long before that attack. I was a Washingtonian for seven years. I was saving up money to buy a condo and planned to spend the next few decades in Washington, the intersection of politics and media. D.C.’s crime problem was something you lived with. You took Ubers and Lyfts, told others if you were walking after dark so they knew when you were home, and knew to be aware of your surroundings, almost to the point of paranoia. (Ladies?)

On a Saturday morning in 2020, I walked out of my apartment on Capitol Hill to mail a package at a post office several blocks from the U.S. Capitol. I put on my black sweatshirt and black sweatpants then headed out the door.

I never made it to the post office.

DC’s fake crime stats are even worse than you think…

If you want to know how bad things really are in The Swamp, here’s your answer: city leaders have been cooking the books to make crime look less out of control than it actually is. That’s right, while American families are living in fear, dealing with theft, assaults, and violent attacks, police brass in the nation’s capital were directing officers to misclassify crimes. They were told to downgrade felonies to misdemeanors so they could protect the left-wing political class from having to face the ugly truth about their soft-on-crime policies and failed leadership.

This is exactly the kind of cover-up you’d expect from a Dem-run city, right? Instead of admitting and fixing the problem, they bury it, spin it, and punish anyone who dares to speak out. That’s what makes this story so important: a whistleblower inside the department exposed the scheme and was promptly fired for it. She sued the city, and they’ve now “quietly” settled with her.

And now that President Trump has stepped in to take control of the soaring crime nightmare, this story couldn’t come at a worse time for DC’s political elite, who are still out there spinning fairytales that crime is under control in DC.

Bombshell: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Says Russia Agreed to Release KGB Files on Lee Harvey Oswald — Claims CIA Destroyed Evidence Handed Over at JFK’s Funeral

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), who led the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, told Joe Rogan that the Russian government has agreed to release long-secret KGB intelligence files on Lee Harvey Oswald, documents she claims the CIA destroyed after receiving them at President John F. Kennedy’s funeral.

During her appearance, Luna detailed how she and two fellow members of Congress recently met with the Russian ambassador, the first such meeting on this subject since 1990, as part of her ongoing push to uncover the truth about JFK’s assassination.

According to Luna, the KGB conducted its own independent investigation into Oswald and handed the findings to U.S. officials in 1963, only for them to vanish under suspicious circumstances.

The Florida congresswoman went on to drop another bombshell that JFK was pursuing peaceful cooperation with the Soviet Union, including a joint mission to the moon, at a time when factions inside America’s intelligence community wanted war in Cuba and confrontation with Russia.

“We never got those documents, and it’s my belief that the CIA actually destroyed that information and evidence because it would have confirmed what the KGB,” Luna told Joe Rogan.

“And mind you, at the time, JFK was actually in talks with the President of Russia, and his perspective was that he actually wanted to do a joint mission between the U.S. government and the Russian government to the moon. And there were aspects and divisions within the intelligence community—you obviously saw the Cold War was happening—they wanted war in Cuba, they wanted war with Russia.”

“So, for them to be able to say that Kennedy, who was not a Communist, was a Communist sympathizer, and “How dare he talk to these dirty Communists?”—I mean, that in itself would have given them any ammunition to turn a blind eye, or at least not fully figure out who assassinated Kennedy.”

Luna also revealed that the Russian government has now agreed to make its JFK investigation public for the first time this fall, something the U.S. Congressional Task Force failed to secure in the 1990s.

The files reportedly contain a psychological profile of Oswald compiled during his time in Russia, describing him as mentally unstable, incapable with firearms, and hardly fitting the profile of a lone mastermind assassin.

CNN Data Analyst Harry Enten Says Epstein Story Has Become a Political ‘Nothingburger’

For a few weeks now, Democrats have been obsessing on the Epstein story, a topic that they had no interest in until the moment they thought it could be used as a political weapon against Trump.

The air is already leaking out of the issue, however.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten noted today that interest in the issue is way down. He even called it a political nothingburger.

From the Independent, via Yahoo News:

Epstein story has become a ‘nothingburger,’ data expert says

Weeks after being flabbergasted over the amount of interest the American public was showing in Jeffrey Epstein and the Trump administration’s botched handling of the investigation into the deceased sex offender, CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten now claims the issue is “quickly becoming something of a nothingburger.”

Vice President JD Vance unwittingly sparked a new wave of calls to release the so-called “Epstein Files” when he attempted to mock Democrats “who are now all of a sudden so interested” in the case during a Sunday interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo…

“I would say that this is, from at least a political point of view, quickly turning into a dud of a story,” Enten said on CNN News Central, causing anchor Kate Bolduan to remark how “wild” it was that interest had fallen off.

“Take a look here. Google searches for Epstein down 89 percent versus just three weeks ago. Falling through the floor,” an animated Ented exclaimed. “It is no longer the top term searched alongside Donald Trump‘s name – that‘s been trading off between tariffs and Vladimir Putin, with obviously the meeting coming up later this week.”

He added: “But at this particular point, the American people‘s interest in this story – it‘s quickly becoming something of a nothingburger!”

Intel Whistleblower Implicates Hillary Clinton’s Alfa Bank Hoax In Election ‘Hack’

A whistleblower report declassified last week suggests that Hillary Clinton’s campaign efforts to manufacture evidence tying Donald Trump to alleged Russian hacking in 2016 were deeper than previously known – as were Obama administration efforts to conceal them.

According to the report, a former senior U.S. intelligence analyst who investigated alleged Russian attempts to breach state voting systems during the 2016 election suspected the breaches may have been “related to activities” of the computer contractors involved in the Alfa Bank hoax, who were accused of manipulating Internet traffic data.

In that well-publicized case, a Clinton campaign lawyer worked with federal computer contractors and the FBI to create suspicions that Russia was communicating with Donald Trump through a secret server shared by Alfa Bank of Russia and Trump Tower in Manhattan.

The anonymous whistleblower – who served as the deputy national intelligence officer for cyber issues in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from 2015 to 2020 – told Special Counsel John Durham he stumbled onto “enigmatic” data while leading the investigation of alleged Russian cyber activity for the Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian meddling in the 2016 election. He said that his discovery took place in December 2016 when President Obama ordered the ICA.

After examining state-reported breaches of election networks, the whistleblower said, “It seemed only brief interaction was occurring – in some cases, no unauthorized access, or even attempted access, was detected on ‘victim’ systems.” Though the suspicious activity initially was attributed to Russian actors, further analysis raised doubts.

But when he brought his findings to his boss, ODNI’s national intelligence officer for cyber issues, he was ordered to stop investigating and not include his findings in the final ICA draft.

“After being directed to conduct analysis of Russian-attributed cyber activity for the ICA, I had been abruptly directed to abandon further investigation,” the whistleblower analyst said.

He added that his boss, whose name was blacked out in the whistleblower statement, “directed me to abandon analysis of these events, stating reports of Russia-attributed cyber activity were ‘something else.’”

While the names of the whistleblower and his boss are blacked out in the report, a RealClearInvestigations search of federal records shows Vinh Nguyen was the national intelligence officer for cyber issues at the time. The whistleblower would have been Nguyen’s deputy.

Nguyen did not respond to RCI’s request for comment.

Why Are the Irish Media Ignoring an Apparent Islamist Knife Attack?

On July 29th 2025, a member of the Irish police (Garda Siochana) was attacked by Abdullah Khan, a second-generation Pakistani Muslim immigrant in Dublin city centre. Ireland’s state broadcaster, RTE, in the immediate aftermath of the knife attack was quick to assert that the attacker had Irish citizenry: “The man, who is an Irish citizen and born in Ireland, can be questioned for up to 24 hours.”

However, those of us of a more cynical disposition across these islands have noticed in recent years that when the media rush to assert the Irish or British identity of a violent criminal, it usually signifies he’s from a non-European ethnic minority background. If last week’s Dublin knife attacker had been an indigenous Irish man, we wouldn’t have been informed of what passport he’s entitled to or where he was born. Similarly, the Welsh choirboy status of the Southport murderer Axel Rudakubana would never have been immediately asserted had he been a Welsh choirboy. Unfortunately for Ireland’s biased liberal-Left media and political establishment, there’s a thing called reality that people can now record on smartphones and see with their own eyes. So, as footage emerged online of last week’s knife attack, people noticed that the perpetrator wasn’t ethnically Irish and they pointed this out on social media. The media and police response was to accuse the people who noticed that the man wasn’t ethnically Irish of spreading misinformation.

WaPo Fact Checker Gets Called Out to His Face Over Joe Biden Mental Decline Cover-Up

A recent interview between political journalist Mark Halperin and former Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler has reignited discussion over media bias and whether major news outlets avoided directly addressing questions about Joe Biden’s cognitive health.

The conversation, part of Halperin’s Next Up series with prominent podcasters, focused heavily on Kessler’s 2022 fact check defending Biden after several videos showing unusual public behavior gained traction in conservative media.

The clips, widely circulated at the time, depicted Biden appearing distracted, confused, or disoriented during official events.

One of the most viral moments occurred when Biden appeared to wander away during a ceremony before engaging with members of a parachute demonstration team.

Critics pointed to the footage as further evidence of mental decline, but Kessler’s fact check concluded the Republican National Committee’s framing was misleading and asserted that Biden had, in fact, been speaking with the parachutists.

Halperin pressed Kessler on the impact of such reporting.

“When you write that, people say the Washington Post is saying that video is not reflective of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. That’s what people take from it,” Halperin told him.

Report: CIA Officials Attempted to Redact Gabbard’s Declassification of Russia Hoax Files

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard overrode officials from the CIA and other intelligence agencies to release a “minimally redacted” version of declassified documents that shed light on the Obama administration’s fabricated Trump-Russia collusion narrative, sources told the Washington Post

President Donald Trump reportedly gave Gabbard his blessing to publish a highly classified House Intelligence Committee report last month with the support of CIA Director John Ratcliffe and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, while sources said other members of the intelligence community warned that a greater portion of the files should have been redacted.

Gabbard said the 46-page House Intelligence report revealed additional details about the “most egregious weaponization and politicization of intelligence in American history,” days after she released classified communications from top officials in the Obama administration laying the groundwork for what became the years-long Trump-Russia probe.

The DNI said at the time:

Per President @realDonaldTrump‘s directive, I have declassified a @HouseIntel oversight majority staff report that exposes how the Obama Administration manufactured the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false, promoting the LIE that Vladimir Putin and the Russian government helped President Trump win the 2016 election.

In doing so, they conspired to subvert the will of the American people, working with their partners in the media to promote the lie, in order to undermine the legitimacy of President Trump, essentially enacting a years-long coup against him.

Gabbard highlighted five key findings in the report, including that former CIA Director John Brennan and others allegedly “fabricated the Russia Hoax, suppressed intelligence showing Putin was preparing for a Clinton victory, manufactured findings from shoddy sources, disobeyed IC standards, and knowingly lied to the American people.”

A source familiar with the process told the Washington Post that the “CIA put forward their proposed redactions and edits to the document,” but Gabbard “has greater declassification authority than all other intelligence elements and is not required to get their approval prior to release.”

DC Police Commander Accused Of Altering Crime Statistics

According to Police1, a DC “police commander is under investigation for allegedly altering crime statistics in his district, NBC 4 Washington reported.

A commander named Michael Pulliam of the 3rd district was placed on paid leave back in mid-May for this accusation.

According to Police 1, this commander was placed on leave after “he filed an equal employment opportunity complaint against Executive Assistant Chief Andre Wright, according to multiple law enforcement sources.”

Five sources told News4 that this commander is under investigation for “questionable changes to reported crime data.”

For the record he denies the allegations.

The Fraternal Order of Police has raised broader concerns about allegations of crime data manipulation to show declines in violent crime.

FOP Chairman Pemberton alleges officers are often instructed to downgrade serious felony reports to lesser offences.

President Trump has proposed federalization to crack down on serious crime in DC. Crime in DC has become an epidemic.

The Union alleges that this is being directed by the MPD command staff in order to keep crime stats low.

According to MPD data, “violent crime in D.C. was reported as down 28% compared to the same time last year. By Thursday, the figure was listed at 25%, with overall crime down 8%.”

Pemberton alleged the numbers are misleading. “There’s absolutely no way crime could be down 28%. Last year, they suggested that it went down 34%.”

Previously, there was an investigation into Pulliam’s wife, Capt. Rachel Pulliam.

Capt Rachel was reassigned to a midnight shift. This had happened in April.

MPD Chief Pamela Smith issued a statement on the allegations saying, “Any irregularity in crime data brought to my attention will be addressed immediately,” Smith said. “I do not condone any official reclassifying criminal offenses outside the guidelines set in MPD policy.”

Trentadue To Trump, Bondi: Release The OKC Tapes

During last night’s ZeroHedge panel on the Oklahoma City bombing, attorney Jesse Trentadue (whose brother Kenneth Trentadue was murdered by the FBI then covered up in the wake of the OKC bombing) had two requests for the Trump administration: “[release] the videotape of the bombing and unseal John Matthews’ deposition, because the Department of Justice has it sealed, and President Trump’s Department of Justice is fighting to keep it sealed.”

Trentadue filed a FOIA lawsuit in 2008 to get the surveillance tapes — which the FBI is on record acknowledging exist — but the bureau has told him “they can’t find it”.

“You would think if you had a videotape showing who committed this horrific crime, wouldn’t that have been exhibit number one in McVeigh’s criminal trial? The reason it wasn’t because I believe that second person was an FBI operative who got out of that truck.”

Investigative reporter and author Peter Schweizer, who hosted the ZH panel, responded: “Let’s make sure that those two messages are delivered to Pam Bondi.”

Well as our other guest, Margaret Roberts, pointed out… it already has been delivered… by Jesse.

“Those are the two critical calls to action. Jesse has a letter on Attorney General Bondi’s desk since March asking the Justice Department to stand down from its opposition to unsealing the John Matthews deposition.”

Roberts recently published her book Blowback: The Untold Story of the FBI and the Oklahoma City Bombing (available here).

She continued, “The other area here that needs addressing is the FOIA process. This is supposed to be the citizens’ last resort for obtaining records that belong to the American public. This story belongs to the public, not locked away in secret government vaults. The many exclusions available to the secret keepers inside these government agencies make it almost impossible.”

“Jesse has navigated this flawed process so masterfully, and yet this FOIA action to release the videotapes has just been sitting marooned for more than a decade. John Matthews told Jesse he had been pressured by the FBI not to tell his story… FOIA needs to be fixed.”
