Prince Philip and the showgirls: How a secret file contains the truth about the Duke and the Profumo affair – and why the Government refuses to let anyone see it

Even now, after more than 60 years and when it seemed every secret had been unearthed and every sordid detail pored over, the Profumo affair remains as murky and intriguing as ever.

The Mail on Sunday last weekend revealed that Prince Philip was named in FBI documents about this most enduring of British political sex scandals.

In a cable sent to the US Embassy in London in 1963, the bureau’s autocratic director J. Edgar Hoover suggested that Philip may have been ‘involved’ with the two women at the heart of the affair, models Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies.

Speculation about the Prince’s supposed connection has been the subject of drawing-room gossip for decades and it was a scurrilous plotline in an episode of season two of The Crown, the controversial Netflix series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth.

But the revelation that his name appears in an official lengthy memorandum about the saga will cause discomfort on both sides of the Atlantic.

Hoover’s interest was hardly surprising. A notorious meddler and feared figure who for years orchestrated often illegal campaigns against suspected subversives and political foes, he had always been fascinated by sexual impropriety involving famous names.

All the same, the possibility of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died aged 99 in 2021, featuring in the FBI chief’s scheming – albeit indirectly – would have caused severe damage to UK-US relations at a time when the Cold War was at its height.

But the Profumo affair was not just a tawdry British scandal, but one with international consequences and that contributed to the fall of the Conservative government in 1964.

Remarkably, after an Old Bailey trial, parliamentary questions and an official inquiry, books and even a Hollywood film, successive governments have continued to protect certain people’s involvement in the sexual shenanigans from exposure by keeping one file about the case under lock and key.

Even though all the central players in the story are now dead it will be another 22 years before that file sees the light of day. But more of that later.

While many of the details have been contested over the decades, there is no dispute about the cast of characters.

MSNBC Progressive Focus Group in Wisconsin Signals Tepid Support for Kamala Harris and Criticizes ‘Closed Doors’ Process of Selecting Her

MSNBC recently spoke to a focus group of progressive Wisconsin voters about Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee and the process of selecting her for the top spot.

While they did not come right out and criticize Harris as a candidate, they hardly seemed enthusiastic about the idea.

They also spoke negatively about the way the party handled the issue, behind closed doors and without any input from Democrat voters.

MSNBC’s focus group of Wisconsin progressives did not go as planned. Democrats feel like Joe Biden harmed the Democrat party by not allowing an actual primary, and feel trepidation about Kamala Harris as the nominee:

Elise Jordan: “How do you feel about the process in which President Biden decided to not run for reeelction?”

Focus Group: “Would have been nice if he made this decision a year ago so we could have had a primary and maybe decided who we wanted to replace him rather than just all flocking to Kamala Harris.”

“By trying to clear the field and ensure that it was Biden, not allowing us to have an actual Democrat primary process.
We would have been benefited significantly if we had figured this out far sooner so there could have actually been more time to have internal debate, have internal democracy within the party.”

21 Facts That Joe Biden Doesn’t Want You To Know

It takes a lot of gumption to go on television and repeatedly lie to more than 300 million Americans.  I honestly don’t know how Joe Biden does it.  I suppose that after you have been lying for your entire career, lying comes as naturally as breathing does.  Sadly, there are still millions of Americans that are falling for his lies after all this time.  Biden would like for us all to believe that the economy is “booming”, that the southern border is under control, that our communities are safe, and that Ukraine is going to win their war against Russia.  Our entire society is literally crumbling all around us, and Biden and his minions have brought us to the brink of global war.  I am entirely convinced that he has been the worst president in U.S. history, and that is really saying something.

Ultimately, Joe Biden is just another slimy politician that is trying to save his job.

I get that.

But come on man, how can anyone actually believe the nonsense that he is shoveling?

Utah Attorney Catches FBI Deception In OKC Bomb Records Case

Last month, the Justice Department asked a judge to pause a lawsuit seeking records about the FBI’s involvement with the Oklahoma City bombing. But in doing so, the DOJ and the FBI made statements so misleading they merit sanctions, according to the plaintiff in that case, Utah attorney Jesse Trentadue.

The deception spotted by Trentadue stems from a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit he filed against the FBI in February, seeking records about Roger Edwin Moore, who was a CIA asset, an FBI informant and a business associate to OKC bomber Tim McVeigh; as well as for records about the Aryan Republican Army, a neo-Nazi bank-robbery gang also involved in the attack.

Trentadue filed the lawsuit after waiting nine years for the FBI to process his FOIA request for those records. Despite that long wait, the FBI then asked a federal judge for another nearly 12 years to release the records he seeks.

Then, last month the bureau represented to a federal judge that many of the records Trentadue wants are already on the FBI’s website. But according to Trentadue, that’s a lie.

Inside the plot to gaslight Americans about Kamala and re-write her story… and it starts with insisting she was never ‘Border Czar’ or the ‘most liberal’ Senator 

Vice President Kamala Harris and her team plan to refute that she was ever in charge of the migration crisis at the southern border.

It comes as Republicans are set to make Harris’ role as Joe Biden‘s ‘border czar’ one of their main points of attack in her battle for the White House with Donald Trump.

As Democratic strategists try to reinvent Harris’ record for the campaign a government transparency organization also deleted a webpage which had declared her the most liberal Democrat in the Senate .

Immigration and the border was Harris’ first big task as vice president and House Republicans on Thursday passed a resolution condemning her leadership on the issue.

In March 2021, President Joe Biden and his administration were already struggling with an escalating immigration crisis.

Migrants were pouring across the southern border, detention centers filled up with unaccompanied minors, and stories about ‘kids in cages’ began filtering into the public consciousness.

Jen Psaki, the White House press secretary at the time, repeatedly insisted that it was ‘not a crisis’. 

Republicans hammered Biden’s lack of enforcement, demanding that the president take the issue seriously and visit the border.

The White House felt it necessary to do something, some kind of sign to the public and the media that the president was tackling the problem.

To stave off criticism Team Biden offered up Vice President Kamala Harris as the solution.

The president and vice president stood together in the State Dining Room of the White House as Biden announced his intention to put Harris in charge of the migrant crisis.

Her chief goal, Biden stated, was to lead the diplomatic effort with Mexico and Central American countries to address the ‘root causes’ of migration.

‘I can think of nobody who — who is better qualified to do this,’ Biden said, citing Harris’ record as a California Attorney General.

It was not an unfamiliar task, Biden noted, recalling that as vice president, he had stepped up for President Barack Obama to work with leaders to stem migration on the southern border.

Funny Money: ActBlue Accused Of “MASSIVE Money Laundering Operation” As Trump Files FEC Complaint Over $91M Transfer To Kamala

Democrat donation platform ActBlue has been accused of a engaging in a “MASSIVE money laundering operation,” by which contributions from large donors are being funneled through hundreds of thousands of small donations made in the name of people who have no clue they’ve donated.

The accusation comes as the platform says it had its best day of 2024, and possibly of all time, in the wake of President Biden abandoning his reelection campaign on Sunday.

ActBlue has been previously been fined for facilitating nearly $44,000 in illegal contributions.

Meanwhile, journalist James O’Keefe approached alleged donors with hundreds of thousands of contributions listed in their name, who knew nothing about them.

A LIBERAL NARRATIVE IS BORN: Joe Biden Voluntarily Walked Away From Power for the Good of the Country

Less than two weeks ago, former Obama adviser David Axelrod was trashing Joe Biden, saying that he was going to lose to Trump in a landslide.

Now that Joe Biden has dropped out of the race, Axelrod is praising Biden for stepping away from power for the sake of the country. These people have no shame.

Joe Biden did not voluntarily step away from anything. Joe Biden was forced out of the race by people like David Axelrod, Obama, and Nancy Pelosi because they knew he was going to lose.

But the narrative matters more than anything else to these people. So the new story is that Biden is a heroic patriot for deciding to walk away, a decision that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

FBI suffers a new black eye, accusing the wrong agent of leaking

Atop FBI official told Congress last year it believed one of its agents, whistleblower Garret O’Boyle, was the suspected leaker in an anonymously filmed interview with the undercover citizen-journalism organization Project Veritas. The claim even led some congressional Democrats to urge a criminal investigation of the agent.

There’s just one problem.

Video obtained by Just the News, a new whistleblower complaint, and interviews show the bureau identified the wrong suspect.

Raw footage from Project Veritas shows that former Agent Kyle Seraphin, another whistleblower, actually conducted the interview in question. Seraphin confirmed to Just the News he was the interviewed agent, not O’Boyle, whose security clearance was suspended in part on the bureau’s assertions that he had leaked to Project Veritas.

The revelations provide another black eye for the agency as Director Chris Wray prepares to come to face to face with lawmakers in a new round of oversight hearings on Wednesday.

“The FBI has escaped accountability thus far for what it did to S.A. O’Boyle. It continues its never-ending cycle of retaliation even to this day,” Tristan Leavitt, the president of the whistleblower group Empower Oversight, wrote the House Judiciary Committee this week ahead of Wray’s appearance before the panel.

Leavitt’s group represents O’Boyle and his letter divulged even more troubling information about the Project Veritas fiasco: The bureau knew O’Boyle wasn’t the leaker and did not disclose it to Congress or correct the record, according to a new whistleblower referenced in the letter.

The FBI declined comment Tuesday when asked about Leavitt’s letter.

Do NOT let the media lie about Joe Biden

Once again, the elite media is trying to rewrite history in real time.

Not even 24 hours after a Democratic and public rebellion forced President Joe Biden to give up his desperate quest for a second term1, the spinning and gaslighting began.

Biden is an “American hero,” one New York Times opinion piece claimed yesterday. What he did is “utterly extraordinary,” another said. The New Yorker referred to his “act of selflessness.”

Funny, no one called Richard Nixon selfless when he resigned rather than face impeachment in 1974. Or Lyndon B. Johnson a hero for quitting his reelection bid in 1968 after a national rebellion over Vietnam.

The media’s effort to whitewash the collapse of Biden’s campaign and pretend his allies and its own pressure did not make him quit is stunningly brazen. It must be confronted immediately.

Its consequences go far past how history will view Biden.

Most importantly, pretending Biden quit the race on his own gives a pass to Vice President Kamala Harris, his replacement as the Democratic nominee. It lets Harris avoid explaining how much she knew about efforts to hide Biden’s mental decline from the public, as well as her role – if any – in forcing him out.

Consider the bizarre timeline of the last two months.

Gaetz Ethics Inquiry Takes Dubious Turn

Amid the hurly-burly of presidential dropouts, attempted presidential assassinations, and novel presidential conventions, the gears of Washington grind on. 

A sideline moment of the winding last week in Wisconsin was a direct confrontation between Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and his pet aversion, the former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. 

“What night are you speaking?” Gaetz quizzed McCarthy. “Are you speaking tonight?” 

“If you took that stage, you would get booed off of it,” he added. “You would get booed off the stage.” In a game-after interview with CNN, McCarthy shot back: “[Gaetz] looks very unhinged.” 

The representative from Florida’s First District, of course, led the successful charge last autumn to defenestrate the then-speaker. Gaetz alleged a panoply of heresies—spending issues, foreign policy, etc—where McCarthy was said to be deficient in comparison to alternatives. 

Gaetz eventually backed now-Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). 

McCarthy, as of late, has said the story is simpler. The Californian wouldn’t stop a House Ethics Committee investigation into years-old allegations against Gaetz (allegations for which he was never charged). But from the outside looking in, McCarthy’s side of the story would seem no clean tale of moral probity. 

Far from being above the fray, McCarthy in private life has initiated a “revenge tour” of sorts, attempting to primary his former foes in Congress. 

Perhaps most prominently, Charleston-area Congresswoman Nancy Mace—a former McCarthy acolyte turned ally of Gaetz et al.—survived a primary challenge in June. “I want to send him back to the rock he’s living under right now. He’s not part of America.… I hope I drive Kevin McCarthy crazy,” Mace told the Times.

Now the primary effort of the hardliners and the ethics investigation against Gaetz have apparently merged. 

Congressman David Joyce (R-OH) is a member of the House Ethics Committee, which is probing Gaetz. The American Conservative found financial disclosures that reveal Rep. Joyce’s campaign and his leadership PAC donated a combined $7,000 to Gaetz’s primary challenger, Aaron Dimmock.  

For his part, Gaetz told TAC: “It is no surprise to see Mr. Joyce, a stock-trading member of the ethics committee, funding my opponent. The ethics committee was hand picked by McCarthy and they will do his bidding in elections and in their witch hunt coming after me.” 

There is evidence here of a $2,000 transaction from Friends of Dave Joyce (his campaign committee) and then $5,000 from Defending American Values Everywhere PAC (DAVE PAC)—his leadership committee.

What comes next is unclear.
