Powell says he won’t resign for Trump, can’t be fired

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell had a clear, direct response when asked during a press conference Thursday if he would step down if asked to do so by President-elect Trump.

“No,” said Powell, whose term as chair ends in 2026.

When asked to elaborate and if he would be legally required to leave, he again said, “No.”

Powell later said it is “not permitted under the law” for the president to fire or demote him or any of the other Fed governors with leadership positions.

Trump appointed Powell during his first term in 2017 but repeatedly and publicly criticized the Fed and its chair for not cutting rates fast enough throughout his tenure.

Powell also said in 2019 that he would not resign if asked by Trump. President Biden reappointed Powell in 2021 — despite objections from progressives who have criticized the chair — saying he has burdened the average American by keeping rates too high for too long.

Trump suggested earlier this year that Powell, a lifelong Republican, was “political” and would cut rates ahead of the 2024 election to help Democrats. While the Fed did cut rates in September by a whopping 50 basis points, Trump handily defeated Vice President Harris this week.

Kamala’s campaign ends $20 million in debt despite raising over $1 billion in just 107 days

Vice President Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign ended $20 million in debt, according to a new report, despite having brought in $1 billion in campaign donations since ousting Joe Biden from the top of the ticket on July 21 and replacing him with his vice president.

Politico’s California bureau chief Christopher Cadelago posted on X Wednesday evening, “Kamala Harris’s campaign ended with at least $20 million in debt, per two sources familiar. Harris raised over $1 billion and had $118 million in the bank as of Oct. 16.”

A Harris-Walz campaign staffer confirmed the report to Breitbart, adding that Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon “blew through a billion dollars in a few months.”

“It Really Doesn’t Matter”: BlackRock CEO Says Wall Street Benefits Regardless Who Is President

The billionaire CEO of BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has said it “really doesn’t matter” who wins the US presidential election, because both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will be good for Wall Street.

“I’m tired of hearing this is the biggest election in your lifetime. The reality is over time it doesn’t matter”, said BlackRock chief Larry Fink at an October 21 conference hosted by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, according to the Financial Times.

“It really doesn’t matter”, Fink reiterated. He revealed that, at BlackRock, “we work with both administrations and are having conversations with both candidates”.

BlackRock has $11.5 trillion assets under management, making it the biggest investment company on Earth.

BlackRock has a revolving door with the US government. Veterans of the asset manager have held high-level roles in the Joe Biden administration’s Treasury. A BlackRock executive has likewise served as a prominent economic advisor for Kamala Harris.

Trump’s Treasury, on the other hand, was run by Goldman Sachs’ former chief information officer, Steven Mnuchin, who made a fortune as a hedge fund manager.

MSNBC’s Maddow Calls On Military, Media & Millions Of Americans To Defy Trump Administration

Fearmongering to MSNBC viewers following Donald Trump’s presidential election landslide win, far-left talking head Rachel Maddow urged citizens, U.S. military leaders and media personalities to resist the incoming administration so that America doesn’t become “authoritarian.”

Speaking to Democrats feeling dismayed at the outcome of this week’s election, Maddow said, “History doesn’t end. Time doesn’t stop. Now we have the benefit of knowing how this has gone in every other country that has been through a democracy to authoritarian transition. And sadly, there are a lot of them. We have the benefit of seeing what’s happened in those other countries, though, and what we know is that the more ground the authoritarian takes, the harder it is to ever get that ground back.”

“And so the first order of business is to stop them from taking any uncontested ground right from the outset. When it comes to what our system of government is and what our democracy is, right, we know from other countries experiences that quickly– I mean now in the next few weeks if not the next few days –they are going to start pushing to see how far the country is going to let them go, without pushback, without protest.”

Next, the mainstream media anchor tried to mobilize Harris supporters, saying, “They’re counting on all those tens of millions of Americans to be despondent, to feel powerless, to check out, which, of course, would mean letting them do what they want, letting them run the table. What they really don’t want is for the half the country that voted against them– the half the country that wants to keep our democracy –what they really don’t want is for those tens of millions of Americans to wake up tomorrow feeling scrappy as hell.”

Now we can work full time on being freaking pirates. On being a thorn in the side to anyone who now intends to try to turn this country into some pin pot tyranny. What they want, least of all, is to realize that half the country went to bed sad tonight, but then woke up tomorrow fired up with a new sense of purpose, knowing that, apparently, this is what we are on this earth to do with American citizens in this generation,” she added.

Maddow claimed protest “has to be done now” and “has to happen in sort of every aspect, every corner of our society.”

The U.S. military needs to give the American people binding assurances that they will not deploy U.S. military force against the civilian population in this country. They can give those assurances, and now they should,” she stated.

The free press needs to give the people of this country assurances that they will not become state TV,” the Democrat newswoman continued.

Arizona Rejects Restrictions on Governor’s Emergency Powers

Arizonans voted against Proposition 135, a ballot measure that would have enshrined an “Emergency Declarations Amendment” to the constitution limiting the ability of their governor to extend emergency declarations among others. 56.8 percent of Arizona voters went against the proposition, with 68 percent of the vote counted as of press time.

Two years ago, Governor Doug Ducey signed a similar bill limiting the duration of a state of emergency to 30-day increments, which are eligible for extensions up to 120 days without the legislature’s approval. Proposition 135 would have set a hard cap of 30 days for states of emergency and prohibited the governor from extending them without approval from state lawmakers. Absent a decision from the state legislature, the declared state of emergency would automatically end after the allotted 30 days.

Under the ballot measure, certain types of emergencies—like a state of war, fire, and floods—would not be subject to the 30-day limit. Additionally, the legislature would have had the authority to alter or limit the governor’s powers when lawmakers extend an emergency declaration.

Apart from the amendment’s effects on emergency declarations, it also required the governor to call a special session upon the petition of “at least one-third of each house of the legislature,” according to the ballot’s language. Under current law, two-thirds of lawmakers in both chambers must vote in favor of a special session to force the governor to call one.

Republican lawmakers holding majorities in both chambers voted in 2023 for the amendment to be included on the 2024 ballot; no Democrats voted to include the ballot measure. The bill’s sponsor, state representative Joseph Chaplik (R–Scottsdale), cited the 700-day plus COVID-19 emergency order as a key reason for his support of the measure, according to The Arizona Republic. Rep. Chaplik told The Arizona Republic that the proposition would have allowed special sessions to occur immediately following a governor’s “abuses [of] their emergency power.”

Opponents of Proposition 135 cited concerns over the state’s ability to respond to emergencies. Requiring legislative approval might have slowed down the resources that states of emergency are meant to help allocate. The allocation of state resources, temporary suspension of regulations, enhanced information gathering, and speedy authorization of stricter public safety measures are all reasons states of emergency are declared.

RFK Jr. Declares War on Big Pharma: Vows to Clear Out ‘Entire Departments’ at the FDA in Push for Health Reform

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known for his relentless stance against corporate influence in health policy, is now taking direct aim at the entrenched bureaucracies within the U.S. health agencies.

As a possible future Trump administration appointee, RFK Jr. has laid out a plan to rid the FDA and other key federal agencies of the deeply-rooted corruption that prioritizes corporate profits over public health.

Recall that Trump said that if he is elected, Kennedy will work on “health and women’s health ” and the nation’s food supply.

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. we have. And he’s going to work on health and women’s health and all of the different reasons, because we’re not really a wealthy or a healthy country,” Trump said during his rally in Nevada.

“I told Bobby, ‘I want you to take care of health, I want you to look at the food and the food supply and what we put on the food and all sorts of — you can look at, but let me handle the oil and gas, Bobby,’” Trump added.

In Kennedy’s crosshairs are not only the FDA but also the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Department of Agriculture (USDA).

On Saturday, Robert Kennedy Jr. announced that the Trump administration would advise all U.S. water systems to remove fluoride from tap water on day one.

“On January 20, the Trump White House will advise all U.S. water systems to remove fluoride from public water,” Kennedy wrote. “Fluoride is an industrial waste associated with arthritis, bone fractures, bone cancer, IQ loss, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid disease. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump want to Make America Healthy Again.”

Trump’s top healthcare priority must be repealing Big Pharma’s legal immunity for vaccines

Lawsuits aren’t fun.

At best they’re draining and distracting – especially against big companies with tough legal teams. (Trust me.) Federal courts have now raised the bar even to reach the “discovery” phase of suits, where plaintiffs can see documents relevant to their claims.

No, lawsuits aren’t fun. No one sues a Fortune 500 company for kicks.

But sometimes they’re are necessary. Except, apparently, when it comes to vaccines1.

In its infinite wisdom, in 1986, Congress passed a law making it nearly impossible for any American to sue pharmaceutical companies over vaccine injuries. Instead, it routed all claims to a special federal court program that would judge possible injuries on a “no-fault” basis and compare them to a prespecified list of injuries.

Radical Left Activates Anti-Trump Protests As AOC Riles Up Rioters

Not even 24 hours after President-elect Donald Trump won more votes in Illinois this general election than in the previous two, and after winning the US election in a massive red wave sweep, far-left protesters gathered outside the Trump Hotel in Obama’s Chicago.

The protests appear to have been highly organized and well-planned before the election, given the coordination among activists, the hundreds—if not thousands—of protesters—many holding signs—and the likely pre-approved protest routes from City Hall.

Organizers shouted into megaphones, “Trump is a fascist” and “racist,” echoing hate speech spewed by the defunct Harris-Walz campaign in the months leading up to November 5.

Sore Loser Democrats Viciously Turn On “Stupid And Selfish” Biden

Desperately looking for someone to blame for Kamala Harris not being a competent candidate and losing to president Trump in a massive landslide, Democrats have aggressively turned on Joe Biden.

Reuters notes that one Democratic donor asked “Why did Joe Biden hold on for as long as he did? He should have not concealed his (health) and dropped out a lot sooner.”

Another Democratic official blamed “malpractice” by Biden’s inner circle, stating “No one would tell him ‘no’,” and slating the White House communications and political teams.

“So it’s Joe, but also Joe’s core apparatus. Stunning and well documented chickens coming home to roost,” the official added.

The article further notes that a Kamala aide complained that her campaign was “doomed from the start by her loyalty” to Biden.

Recapping the slimy ‘celebs’ who said they’d off themselves or flee America with a Trump victory

I’m starting a list, just to make sure that we don’t forget anyone, containing the names of the “celebrities” who promised to off themselves or flee the U.S., in the event of a President Trump victory.

Well, for what are they waiting? Have at it you jackasses, time to get going! Also, where can I tune in to watch the festivities? I kid… kind of.

First up is Rob Reiner, who said he’d “set himself on fire” if Trump wins. Perhaps he’d be so inclined to stage it in Washington D.C., maybe at the Internal Revenue Service building, burning it down too? Oh wait, that’ll be handled by Trump’s “no tax on tips” policy, or maybe even the elimination of federal income tax. Would Reiner be willing to self-immolate at the FDA or CDC? Never mind, that’s what we have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for! The ATF office? Yikes, how could I forget? J.D. Vance is handling that! As long as I get a front row seat to Reiner’s performance, I’m not picky.

Next we have Stephen King, who declared that if Trump emerges victorious, he will throw himself in a “woodchipper.” Now, with all the rumors (and for libel purposes I’m stressing “rumors”) flying around about King’s alleged sexual preference for and behaviors toward children, I can’t help but wonder if there were an underlying message there. I mean, the woodchipper is the cliché execution method of choice for pedophiles and child molesters, finding its way into countless memes, like the one where the man wonders why his neighbor is putting logs into the “pedo machine.” Of all the ways to off yourself, why did King settle on that one? Did King just expose himself and signal guilt?

Then there was Bette Midler, who shared a picture to social media that showed a bottle of champagne next to a bottle of drain cleaner, with two sticky notes attached signaling which bottle to drink, contingent upon the outcome.
