Ohio State University Reaches $100 Million Settlement With Nearly 300 Sex Abuse Survivors

Ohio State University has reached a $100 million settlement with nearly 300 former students who had accused the school’s campus doctor of sexually assaulting them decades ago, the school and a lawyer for the victims said on Wednesday.

The settlement with 279 of the 280 former students was ratified by the university’s board on Wednesday. It followed years of litigation over accusations of decades of abuse by Richard Strauss.

The abuse occurred from 1978 to 1998, the year he retired from the faculty.

“The mediation and its confidentiality are continuing as the parties work to finalize the details of the settlements, and additional information will be shared as appropriate,” the school and a lawyer for the victims said in a joint statement.

In February, the university reached eight additional settlements, bringing the total to 304 survivors and more than $60 million.

Strauss, who killed himself in 2005, was employed by Ohio State’s athletic department and medical staff for nearly two decades.

A 2019 report detailing the investigative findings said that Strauss had sexually abused at least 177 men, nearly all of whom were students, and that university staff who knew of the abuse failed to act. The abuse included groping and fondling of the students’ genitals and other acts under the guise of a medical examination.

News of the investigation and its findings prompted more than 500 plaintiffs to sue Ohio State, alleging they had been sexually abused by Strauss and that the school had shown deliberate indifference.

Trump Reveals He Pardoned Man Sentenced to SEVEN YEARS in Federal Prison for Fixing His Own Truck

President Donald Trump just exposed yet another example of the radical Democrat regime’s war on hardworking Americans during an agriculture roundtable discussion in Wisconsin, this time, jailing people simply for fixing their own equipment.

Speaking before a crowd that included farmers and agricultural workers, Trump blasted government regulations that restrict Americans from repairing their own equipment and praised efforts to restore “right-to-repair” freedoms.

The president then recounted a case that left him stunned.

“The Democrats have a restriction that if you get caught fixing your tractor, they bring you to jail. You know that?” Trump told the crowd.

“Do you know that I pardoned a man last week who was sentenced to seven years in jail because he got caught fixing his car or his truck?”

Trump said he initially couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“I said, ‘What did he do?’ Sir, he was fixing his truck.”

“I said, ‘How long is he getting?’ Seven years.”

“I said, ‘Say it again.’ It’s the first time I’ve ever heard it.”

According to Trump, he quickly intervened.

“Like two weeks ago, I gave him a pardon because he had to go to jail because he was fixing his tractor or his truck.”

“So I promise, Ken, if you ever get caught fixing your tractor or truck, I will give you a pardon, okay?”

Trump then turned his fire toward environmental regulations that have long frustrated farmers, truckers, and equipment owners.

Iowa Democrat Candidate Apologized for Being ‘White, Cis-Gender’ Woman in 2020 Campaign

A Democrat congressional candidate in Iowa apologized on a previous campaign website for being white and said she “benefited greatly from privilege.”

In 2020, now congressional nominee Lindsay James had a section on her campaign site called “A Confession” in which she addressed her skin color and so-called “privilege,” the Daily Caller reported Wednesday. “I am a white, cis-gender, able bodied, middle class, college educated woman,” the archived site for her Iowa state legislature campaign read.

James’s “confession” continued:

There is no doubt that I have worked hard to get where I am in my life, but I have also benefited greatly from privilege. My personal journey of self-examination as it relates to my own privilege has not been perfect, but I am committed to doing the hard work of honest self-reflection, considering critical feedback when given, and working every day to better myself and use my privilege to advocate for others.

–Rep. Lindsay James (she/her)

James’ website also claimed there was discrimination against LGBTQ people in health care, education, housing, and employment.

The Iowa Capital Dispatch reported Tuesday that “James will face Republican former state Rep. Joe Mitchell in the general election for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District,” noting that the district “includes Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque and Mason City. It has been represented by a Republican since 2021, and is currently held by U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, who is not seeking another term to run for the U.S. Senate.”

US Attorney Observes Los Angeles Election Center as Feds Launch Multiple Voter Fraud Investigations

Multiple election fraud investigations in California are currently underway with the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, as ballot counting for Tuesday’s primary election continues.

First Assistant US Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli said his office is conducting a “comprehensive audit of California’s voter rolls” with the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division on Friday. His office also has “multiple election fraud investigations underway” in coordination with the FBI.

This comes after Trump sounded the alarm on Thursday, telling reporters in the Oval Office, “You see what’s happening in California. They’re rigging the election.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Republican California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton also sounded the alarm on Thursday evening, telling Fox’s Laura Ingraham that, according to USPS whistleblowers, California is indiscriminately counting mail-in ballots without verifying the date they were sent. “It’s insane. This election system that they’ve created here is just another monument to their uselessness, another version of high-speed rail,” Hilton said as roughly 4 million ballots remain uncounted in his race.

On Thursday, Democrat Xavier Becerra, former Health and Human Services Secretary for Biden, advanced in the governor’s primary race 48 hours after the polls closed on Thursday evening. Still, Hilton is in first place, leading Democrat Tom Steyer by seven points with 59.7% of expected votes in as of 3:18 pm ET, and his fate remains uncertain with California’s lawless election system.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has been projected to advance to the November runoff in the mayor’s race, where she will face either Spencer Pratt or Nithya Raman. Pratt, after taking an early lead over Democratic Councilwoman Nithya Raman and trailing incumbent Democrat Mayor Karen Bass by a slim margin, is still in second place. Pratt is leading Raman by six points with 64.3% of expected votes counted as of 3:18 pm ET.

“The most recent mail-in ballots that were processed are favoring Democrats, as many analysts suggested they would. Inside the ballot processing center here in LA County, any ballot that was postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, must be counted by law,” Fox’s Matt Finn reports from outside LA County’s ballot processing center.

“The process takes so long, in part because each ballot must have its signature verified, and if there’s an issue, there’s a 10-day period to have it cured,” he continued, noting that it’s “very likely” counting will continue into next week.

Socialist Mayor Responds After Seattle Residents Use Steel Planters to Block Streets from Criminals

Desperate Seattle residents putting up steel flower planters as barriers to block off their streets to quell runaway crime have finally drawn the attention of the city’s socialist mayor.

Mayor Katie Wilson said this week that Seattle is “acting now” on shootings and drug and human trafficking-related crime after being pressed by a local news anchor on why citizens had to take matters into their own hands before City Hall did anything.

The location at issue is the neighborhood hit by reoccurring violence tied to Aurora Avenue on the city’s north side.

Fox 13 co-anchor Hana Kim told the mayor:

We’re hearing from residents saying there are constant shootings there, bullets going through homes, human trafficking is up, prostitution is up. Desperate residents put up steel planters to block some of the crime. They say it was working, but then the city took it away and said that they need to have a permanent solution, so they want to study it. But at what point do you act?

“So we are acting now,” Wilson responded. “A number of members of my team… were up doing a walk with the neighborhood a few days ago, and I totally understand why people put the barriers in the streets.”

Residents along the corridor spent Memorial Day weekend constructing the barriers out of metal planters, concrete blocks, and other items to block streets “after weeks of shootings, high-speed chases, and crime concerns tied to prostitution, trafficking, and alleged turf wars,” Fox News reported.

One resident, Peter Orr, told KTVB 7, “It’s either this, or bullets in my neighbor’s houses.” The Mayor was mocked online for her residents taking such drastic action to ensure their own safety.

Conservative commentator Paul Szypula wrote on X, “When progressive policies result in neighborhoods literally barricading themselves off… that says everything.”

Far-Left Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson Can’t Even Stick to Her Own Woke Boycott

Leftists love a good boycott until, of course, it interferes with something they enjoy.

Last year, far-left Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson virtue-signaled her anti-capitalism “pro-labor” views to her base and urged them to boycott coffee giant Starbucks.

In November, while speaking at a Starbucks Workers United rally outside the recently closed Reserve Roastery on Capitol Hill, Wilson said, “That is why I am proud to join them on their picket line and proud to say loud and clear, I am not buying Starbucks and you should not either.”

In a recent interview, however, Wilson admitted she can’t even stay committed to her own performative woke directives.

During an interview published on Wednesday with FOX 13, Seattle co-anchor Hana Kim asked Wilson if she still supports the boycott.

“I had the pleasure of visiting the Pike Place Market Starbucks a little while ago, and I ordered, I think it was a blueberry muffin latte that was like a staff creation.”

“I guess I broke my boycott,” Wilson continued.

“And yeah, but I, you know, I don’t know. What do you want me to say about that?”

Wilson’s decision to prioritize wokeness over the economic interests of her community’s people has had real-world consequences.

Wilson, however, has laughed at the notion that millionaires are leaving the city over new and higher taxes supported by her and her cohorts, saying ‘Bye!’ as she shrugged it off glibly.

Democrat Candidates Hate on Trump with Ease but Struggle to Talk Policy

Democrat candidates across the country have been speaking out against President Donald Trump with ease but appear to struggle to answer basic policy questions on the campaign trail.

Democrat lawmakers and candidates alike have hurled insults at President Trump’s administration and the commander-in-chief himself. Referring to Trump as a dictatorNazifascistHitlerevil personmurderer, and more is simply par for the course. However, when it comes to their own positions and policies some Democrats appear to struggle.

In New Jersey, Democrat congressional candidate Rebecca Bennett was asked if “people should stop trying to kill the President” given the numerous assassination attempts in recent years — the latest incident unfolding at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

She could not even answer that simple question, remaining silent while a staffer waved a sign in the questioner’s face.

Meanwhile, over in New Hampshire, congressional Democrat Stefany Shaheen refused to condemn scandal-plagued Graham Platner.

Pride Month Propaganda Pushed Hard in Children’s Programming: Disney World, Cocomelon, Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, and Teletubbies Target Toddlers with LGBT Agenda

As “Pride Month 2026” kicks off, major children’s entertainment brands are once again flooding social media and theme parks with rainbow messaging aimed squarely at preschoolers and toddlers.

The deliberate indoctrination of the youngest kids who can’t even tie their shoes yet has been going on every June (and in some cases, year-round) for years.

Disney is rolling out the rainbows across its Florida parks for the entire month.

At EPCOT, the rainbow mural is back outside Connections Cafe. Hollywood Studios features a Mickey Balloon Pride photo op with 11 different Pride-flag balloons. Magic Kingdom has the Mickey Pride mural and a Pride Slushy at Astrofizz. Merchandise and special drinks are everywhere, Breitbart News reports.

The ultra-popular YouTube kids’ channel Cocomelon, watched by millions of babies and toddlers, posted celebrating Pride on Instagram.

Massachusetts Public School District Permits Sikh Students to Carry Knives While Banning Weapons for All Other Students

Hopkinton Public Schools in Massachusetts has a policy that carves out a specific religious exception to its strict no-weapons rule, allowing initiated Sikh students to carry a ceremonial knife known as a kirpan on school grounds, while prohibiting knives, guns, replicas, and other weapons for every other student.

The policy, formally created in 2024, makes Hopkinton the first school district in the state to explicitly accommodate the kirpan for Sikh students.

These policies have received new scrutiny following the sentencing of Vickrum Digwa, a 23-year-old Sikh man convicted of murdering 18-year-old British university student Henry Nowak in Southampton, England, on December 3.

Digwa stabbed Nowak five times with an 8-inch dagger he carried in addition to a kirpan.

Under the district’s general weapons policy, possession of any “dangerous weapon” is banned on school premises, at school-sponsored events, or on school transport. This includes guns, knives, pocket knives, slingshots, brass knuckles, explosives, ammunition, and even replicas or toys that resemble weapons.

Violations can lead to suspension, expulsion, police referral, and possible exclusion by the School Committee.

However, the policy includes a dedicated section titled “Considerations for Recognized Religious Artifacts Resembling Weapons.”

It directs that sacred religious articles must be approved annually before the start of each school year or before the student begins carrying the item. The district evaluates exceptions based on school safety and reserves the right to suspend permission during specific events.

The Truth About Graham Platner’s Senate Candidacy – He Was Not Inspired to Run for Office, He Was RECRUITED by a Wealthy DSA Couple Who Have Done This Before

If you believe Democrats and the media, you probably think that Graham Platner of Maine is a genuine, blue-collar, oyster fisherman who decided to run for U.S. Senate and has run a grassroots campaign.

That is not the truth. His entire candidacy is based on a lie.

Graham Platner was recruited to run for office by a young, wealthy couple who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and this is what they do. They have recruited and groomed candidates in the past in the same exact way.

When they first approached Graham Platner, he didn’t even want to do it. They had to convince him.

The New York Post reports:

Meet the champagne socialist duo who groomed rich kid Graham Platner into a ‘working-class’ candidate

Graham Platner has done a better job of hiding his privileged roots than the Nazi tattoo on his chest — a move which is by design.

The embattled Maine candidate for US Senate is vocal about his disabled-war-veteran, rugged-oyster-farmer, “working-class” persona — and less so about his attendance at an $80,000-a-year boarding school, his lawyer father, or his major architect grandfather.

That’s because he’s been coached on how to present himself, molded to present a specific image — and, in a sense, manufactured.

The truth is he was discovered and coached by a pair of Ivy League-educated radical Democratic socialists, replicating a playbook they’ve used in Nebraska and Iowa. That revelation could be more damaging than the tattoo, sexting women other than his wife, blasting fellow veterans and admitting to masturbating in a port-a-potty, as it strikes at the heart of Platner’s alleged authenticity…

That under-the-radar team are a couple, Yale Law School grad Daniel Moraff and his fiancée, Leanne Fan, an academic with stints at Harvard and the proudly radical University of California-Berkeley.

The pair had originally met while working for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in 2020 and are hardcore members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). They have previously been behind candidates Dan Osborn, running for Senate in Nebraska, and Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.), a member of the Keystone State congressional delegation since 2023 and part of the DSA “Squad,” alongside Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

Platner actually admitted this to Jon Stewart during an interview in April.

From TAG 24:

“Last summer, end of July, some people came to my house,” Platner told Stewart while discussing his decision to run for office. “They had been in Maine for a few months… looking for someone to run for US Senate against Susan Collins.”

“They were looking specifically for, like, a kind of working class person on, kind of, working class economic policies,” he continued…

“Yep! And then they looked me up, and they saw that I donated to Bernie Sanders, and they were like ‘Oh!’” Platner continued. “They literally came to my house and said, ‘We think you should run.’”
