An Indiana Fever postgame press conference came to an abrupt end when a reporter attempted to ask about teammate Sophie Cunningham’s recent comments defending women’s sports.

The team’s PR director immediately cut off the session, sending players and the coach fleeing the podium.

Following the Fever’s win over the Portland Fire on Friday night, an Outkick reporter began a question with the words “Speaking of outside noise, Sophie came out with—”

PR director Jackie Maynard immediately interjected and declared, “We’re going to wrap up there.”

Players Aliyah Boston and Makayla Timpson quickly jumped out of their seats and left the room.

Boston offered a brief “Thank you. Have a good day,” while coach Stephanie White briefly stared at papers before following them out.

Trump’s State Department Begins Revoking Visas of Foreign Drunk Drivers

President Donald Trump’s State Department has started revoking visas for foreign nationals arrested for drunk driving, agency officials announced this week.

“The Trump Administration is keeping reckless foreign drivers off our streets by revoking visas and denying further travel to the United States,” officials wrote in a statement. “The State Department is keeping our streets safe from foreign nationals who drive impaired, disregard laws, and endanger Americans.”

Among those foreign nationals who have had their visas revoked is one who was recently arrested for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with violence, and domestic violence.

“Outrageous and dangerous behavior that endangers American communities will never be tolerated,” officials wrote. “Visa revoked.”

Others for whom the agency has revoked visas include:

A foreign national was arrested for aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol level nearly double the legal limit and a minor in the vehicle. Reckless behavior that puts a child’s life at risk on America’s roads is unacceptable. Visa revoked.

Another foreign national was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol level more than 3x the legal limit. The driver then showed up drunk to a court-mandated DUI program. No more second chances for foreign visitors who put American lives at risk. Visa revoked.

A foreign national was arrested for DUI and causing injury to another person. Foreigners who threaten American lives aren’t welcome in the United States. Visa revoked.

One foreign national was arrested for driving with heroin and a blood alcohol level more than 3x the legal limit. Flagrant abuse of America’s hospitality won’t be tolerated. Visa revoked.

“Under President Trump, the State Department will continue to revoke the visas of foreigners who endanger our citizens and will always put the safety of Americans first,” officials wrote.

The news comes as the State Department, under the direction of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has also begun revoking visas for foreign nationals who have been arrested and convicted of fraud.

Establishment Democrats warn socialist candidates could cost the party the midterms

As Democratic Socialist candidates and their candidacies are gaining steam, establishment Democrats connected to the Clinton and Obama administrations are sounding the alarm, warning that the rise of radicals is threatening the party’s chances of winning the upcoming midterms. 

“There is emerging evidence that Democrats are being harmed by perceptions that the party is drifting towards socialism,” wrote Douglas Schoen and Carly Cooperman, partners at the public opinion company Schoen Cooperman Research.

Schoen is a veteran of Democratic President Bill Clinton’s 1996 campaign as well as Hillary Clinton’s 2008 bid for the party’s presidential nomination.

Alarming to these Democrats is the fact that President Donald Trump’s low approval ratings have not translated into the expected polling advantage for Democratic candidates heading into the midterms in November, in which control of the House and Senate will be decided. 

Trump’s approval rating is underwater, hovering under 40% since May. However, in the most recent YouGov/Economist poll, in late July, Democrats outperformed Republicans by only 4 points. For comparison, Democrats consistently polled 7 to 13 points ahead of Republicans ahead of the 2018 blue wave election. 

Such a “narrow lead,” Schoen and Cooperman say, “suggests that heightened focus on the socialist-progressive candidates of late severely hurts Democrats’ ability to capitalize on widespread anti-Trump sentiment.”

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has become the face of the Democratic Socialist movement. Earlier this year, he clashed directly with the Democratic Party establishment in the city in order to remake its congressional delegation in his image. Mamdani backed three progressive socialist-aligned candidates who were successful in unseating incumbents or their establishment-backed opponents.

One of those winners, Darializa Avila Chevalier, who is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), has drawn scrutiny over past social media posts expressing support for communism and Marxist ideology, including sympathy for Soviet figures. 

Democratic Socialists or their ideological allies have also surged in Colorado, Maine and Michigan. Schoen and Cooperman believe the party is “running bigger risks” by considering these candidates because it will fuel the Republican efforts to paint the Democratic Party more broadly as unpopular socialists. 

In Maine, scandal-ridden Graham Platner – who was closely tied to the Democratic Socialist infrastructure of Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders and Mayor Mamdani – had to drop out of the race. 

But, the state party chose Troy Jackson to replace him. Though not directly affiliated with the DSA, Jackson is backed by the organization and shares many of its policy goals. The DSA even endorsed Jackson for his earlier failed bid for governor.

In Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary Tuesday, the frontrunner is Abdul El-Sayed, who is backed by democratic socialist Sanders and New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Though not affiliated with the DSA, he also espouses policies similar to the organization’s goals.

To Schoen and Cooperman, an affiliation with the DSA is not necessary to hurt the Democratic Party.

“Republicans do not need every Democrat to be Democratic Socialists of America members to brand all Democrats as socialists. They simply need enough high-profile Democrats on the party’s left-wing fringe to make the caricature stick,” they said in a Monday op-ed published in The Hill.   

Making matters worse, DSA co-chair Megan Romer took to cable news on Sunday to fully embrace that “caricature.” 

In an interview with Fox News’ Shannon Bream, which circulated widely on social media, Romer publicly embraced the most radical DSA proposals for the country, including abolishing the Senate, the presidency, the Supreme Court, national borders, immigration enforcement, prisons and defunding the U.S. military.

Romer made clear she views the DSA as ascendant and the establishment Democrats as outdated. 

“We run on the Democratic ballot line where it makes sense,” she said. “We run independents sometimes where that is a viable possibility, but it’s a ballot line. What matters is what the voters think, and the voters are overwhelmingly choosing our candidates.” 

Beyond Schoen, other Democrats are raising the alarm about the growing influence of socialists in their party and warning that it could lead to disastrous consequences for the midterm elections as the party’s popularity continues to sag. 

This month, former Chicago Mayor, Obama Chief of Staff and Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emmanuel said that Democratic Socialist “Bernie Bros” could “spoil” the midterm elections for Democrats. 

“Ultimately, this is about policy. It was socialists who led the charge to defund the police, open the borders, abolish prisons, release violent criminals onto the streets and degrade the flag. We know those are electoral losers,” Emmanuel wrote last week.  

He argues that these positions often held by more radical candidates running in deep blue areas make it more difficult for Democratic candidates running in swing districts vital for winning the House.  

Republicans are jumping on the success of the DSA to associate Democrats with the organization’s policies. 

President Trump and the GOP have launched a campaign arguing the Democratic Party has been infiltrated with communist candidates as the November election nears, Just the News reported on Wednesday.

“Nothing Is 100%”: CZ Warns Bitcoin Holders After $89 Million Coldcard Wallet Exploit

A third wave of thefts against Bitcoin wallets built on flawed Coldcard firmware ran through Saturday morning, lifting observed losses to roughly 1,367 BTC – close to $89 million – drained from 4,585 addresses since Thursday.

As Cyberkendra.com reports, the size is not the interesting part. The third wave is the first one designed to be hard to follow, and that shift tells self-custody holders more about what happens next than any dollar figure does.

Galaxy Research published the wave-three findings early Sunday. Between 12:23 UTC on July 31 and 06:42 UTC on August 1, across blocks 960,396 to 960,471, another 207.73 BTC left 1,912 addresses. That is roughly a tenth of a coin per victim.

Wave one, which opened at 01:10 UTC on July 30 and closed 41 minutes later, took 1,082.65 BTC from 1,195 addresses — nearly a full coin each.

Wave two, on July 31, collected just 76.16 BTC from 1,478 addresses.

Median losses tell the same story more bluntly: 0.270 BTC in wave one, 0.010 in wave two, 0.013 in wave three. The operator is now emptying wallets worth a few thousand dollars apiece and still finding enough of them to spend ten hours sweeping.

Waves one and two were easy to map because the attacker made them easy.

Both funneled coins through a handful of shared collector addresses into P2WPKH holding wallets (pay-to-witness-public-key-hash — plain single-key SegWit outputs, fully visible on chain).

Wave three abandoned that.

Each victim’s coins went to their own destination, and the proceeds now sit in 293 separate P2WSH vaults (pay-to-witness-script-hash, a format that keeps its spending conditions hidden until the first time the coins move). The sweeper also batched an average of 6.37 victims per transaction, where wave one took exactly one at a time, and scanned only the default derivation path instead of testing several branches per seed. Even the fee constant changed — 30 sat/vB in wave one, 50 and 10 in wave two, roughly 200 then exactly 10 in wave three.

That is either the same crew rebuilding after being enumerated in public, or a second crew grinding the same broken key space on its own.

The falling average haul suggests the profitable end of the vulnerable key space is picked over. That is cold comfort. Wave three’s median take of 0.013 BTC is the clearest evidence yet that no balance is now small enough to be beneath the scanner’s notice — and the sweeping had not stopped three days in.

More Americans have died with COVID-19 listed as the cause of death than the number of U.S. service members killed in World War II.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data record more than 1.1 million COVID-19 deaths in the United States through 2025. The Department of Veterans Affairs and Congressional Research Service list 405,399 American military deaths in World War II. That disparity framed the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday at which Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, appeared.

Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times, declined to answer questions about pandemic origins, research funding, his diaries, treatment guidelines, and related decisions. Committee Chairman Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., scheduled a vote next week on whether to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress.

The Rape Gang Inquiry Report: Muslim treatment of non-Muslims worldwide

Last year, Rupert Lowe MP (Restore Britain) launched a campaign to raise funds to hold an independent national inquiry into the UK’s Muslim rape gangs.  This year, the victim-led Rape Gang Inquiry was held, during which testimonies from victims, parents, carers, politicians,  a variety of experts and whistle-blowers were heard over ten days, from 2 February to 12 February.  On 16 June 2026, the Inquiry released its report.

The Influence of Islam

Muslim Treatment of Non-Muslims Worldwide

Britain is not a unique case. This sort of thing goes on anywhere that either welcomes mass migration from Muslim countries or contains long-established Muslim populations. There is a consistent pattern of sexual violence directed against non-Muslim minorities in settings where Muslims form the majority.

Across Britain, as we have noted, girls from Sikh and Hindu backgrounds have also been targeted by Muslim gangs. Unlike the White British majority, these non-Muslim immigrant populations were never prevented from organising as a collective to protect their own. In doing so, as was their duty, the Network of Sikh Organisations drew attention to the “appalling treatment” of non-Muslims in Pakistan:

“We need only look at the appalling treatment of girls from minority faiths in Pakistan – where Christian, Hindu and Sikh girls are kidnapped, forced to convert to Islam and married, to get an understanding of the underlying motivations. In 2018, around 1,000 girls in Pakistan’s Sindh province alone suffered this fate. In many cases, perpetrators are granted impunity due to corruption and connivance with local officials.”

In April 2024, UN human rights experts expressed serious alarm regarding the vulnerability of minority girls in Pakistan to forced religious conversions and forced marriages. Their press release highlighted that Christian and Hindu girls in particular face heightened risks of abduction, trafficking, child forced marriage, domestic servitude, and sexual violence.

Human rights groups and media reports, including a 2021 BBC investigation, have estimated that thousands of non-Muslim girls – primarily Christians, Hindus, and Sikhs – are abducted annually in Pakistan, compelled to convert to Islam, and forced into marriage with their abductors. One documented case involved Farah, a 12-year-old Christian girl abducted from her home in June 2020 by three Muslim men, raped, and forced to perform household labour as a slave.

A common sequence in these cases sees a girl abducted, coerced into signing a conversion certificate, and swiftly married to a Muslim man. Police in Pakistan frequently side with the abductors over the girl’s family. When parents pursue legal action, courts tend to uphold the legitimacy of the conversion. Birth certificates may be falsified to indicate that the girl is not a minor. Contact with her family is typically blocked. Following conversion to Islam, non-Muslim parents lose all authority over their child, as Islamic law prohibits non-Muslims from exercising guardianship over Muslims, including their own offspring.

The evidence from grooming gang convictions across Britain repeatedly shows a Muslim background among many of the perpetrators. When this is viewed alongside similar patterns of sex crimes observed both in countries of origin for immigrants and in Muslim-majority societies, it offers compelling grounds to consider that elements of Islam are contributing to the grooming gang scourge in our country.

While it is unsurprising that a religion can shape and regulate sexual behaviour, the suggestion that Islam might play a role in driving sex crimes remains deeply uncomfortable for some in the liberal West. Even so, the possibility of an Islamic influence on these crimes cannot be dismissed. The available data strongly points toward it as a hypothesis that merits serious examination.

The impact of any religion on individual behaviour is rarely direct and unmediated; it is heavily filtered through culture, which a religion can gradually reshape over generations. Not all Muslim communities or societies are influenced by Islam to the same degree or in the same manner. Minority Muslim populations may behave differently from majority ones. For instance, convictions of Indian-origin Muslim men in grooming gang cases across Britain are notably rare compared with those of Pakistani heritage. This disparity may relate to a demographic context: Muslims form only about 14% of India’s population (with Hindus comprising around 80%), placing them in a minority position where social and legal constraints differ markedly from Pakistan, where Muslims dominate overwhelmingly and non-Muslims constitute a small, often marginalised minority. In such a setting, exploiting non-Muslim neighbours becomes far easier.

At least eight theological aspects of Islam may contribute to cultural patterns that enable or normalise the sexual abuse of non-Muslim girls. These include (1) the doctrine of Muslim superiority, (2) the principle of loyalty and disavowal (al-walā’ wa-l-barā’), (3) male dominance over women, (4) enforced seclusion and veiling of women, (5) forced marriage combined with the absence of a fixed minimum age of consent, (6) the perception of female sexuality as inherently dangerous or fitna, (7) the historical sharia institution of slavery, (8) and the system of dhimmitude.

These are all rooted in classical Islamic theology, up to and including Islamic jurisprudence. But even in sharia-governed nations, adaptations are common, such as setting a minimum marriage age or restricting unilateral divorce by men in order to lessen the harsher effects on women.

Rep. Harriet Hageman Introducing Bill to Stop Climate Change Groups From Filing ‘Shakedown’ Lawsuits

Republican Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming is introducing a new bill called the ‘Stop Climate Shakedowns Act’ which is intended to stop climate change groups from filing frivolous lawsuits blaming corporations for the effects of climate change.

Hageman suggests that these groups do this almost as a form of tax that they would never be able to get passed the proper way, through Congress.

She mentions that she partnered with Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz on this.

Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming is sounding the alarm that these activists are also trying to sue their way into taxing Americans in the name of “fighting climate change.” She’s introduced a Stop Climate Shakedowns Act to prevent this activist grift.

“It is the Stop the Climate Shakedowns Act, and what this has to do with is there are many communities and states around the country that have … filed lawsuits against our energy companies claiming that they are responsible for climate change and the impacts of climate change, and this is an effort to try, really, it’s another way of taxation, is really what these communities are doing,” Hageman said.

“So they’ve either adopted superfund laws claiming that producing energy has caused climate change and so those energy producers should be responsible for paying billions upon billions upon billions of dollars in fines,” she continued, “and then on the other hand, they’re just flat-out suing.”

“The city of Boulder, Colorado, has a lawsuit pending in front of the United States Supreme Court right now against Suncorp. So the purpose of my legislation, and I filed this in conjunction with Senator Ted Cruz, is to stop these lawsuits in their tracks,” Hageman said.

North Carolina Police Officer Arrested For Alleged Illegal Use Of Flock Cameras

A North Carolina officer was arrested by state authorities July 29 after allegedly accessing license plate registration information from Flock Safety cameras and other technology, authorities announced.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Seth Elliot, 25, is facing a misdemeanor charge of illegally accessing a government computer, according to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

Elliot, who started working at the department in 2024, allegedly accessed the Flock system and CJ Leads, a criminal justice database used by law enforcement in North Carolina, one time for non-law enforcement purposes, according to the police department.

The officer was placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

A previous unrelated investigation had initially found the evidence that on June 16, Elliot had allegedly improperly accessed the license plate reader systems.

He was then placed on administrative assignment on June 22, and his equipment and access to systems with criminal intelligence information was revoked pending the outcome of the internal investigation.

Police Chief Estella Patterson said the department doesn’t operate any of the Flock cameras or devices but has an agreement with the company to allow officers access to them.

Misuse of the access is not tolerated, Patterson said.

“The public expects and deserves the highest level of integrity from every officer who wears the CMPD badge,” Patterson said in a statement. “Misusing law enforcement technology or accessing confidential information for non-law enforcement purposes is a betrayal of the public’s trust and a violation of everything this profession stands for.”

The Epoch Times was not able to reach Elliott for comment, and it’s unclear if he has an attorney.

The North Carolina case is the latest law enforcement-related allegation of Flock camera misuse.

Earlier this month, Sgt. Kabiru Salawu of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office was arrested after an internal investigation found he allegedly misused the agency’s Flock system. Salawu was fired by the department and charged with a felony violation of oath of office and misdemeanor misuse of license plate data, according to a sheriff’s office statement.

Investigations in Georgia and several other states have also led to arrests over Flock camera access.

People have also destroyed the cameras in some cities, with some incidents occurring this week.

In Upstate New York, police arrested a 25-year-old man July 29 after he allegedly used a saw to cut down a Flock camera.

In Central California, a 40-year-old Pismo Beach man was arrested July 28 for allegedly intentionally tearing down and running over at least three Flock license plate readers, causing thousands of dollars in damage, Monterey County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Flock Safety, based in Georgia, estimates more than 6,000 communities in 49 states have partnered with the company to install the surveillance systems.

The cameras are powered by artificial intelligence and capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, recording the location, date, and time. The cameras also capture the car’s make, model, color, and other features, such as dents and bumper stickers, to use as data points, according to DeFlock, a community-driven, open-source project that maps the license plate readers.

DeFlock estimates Flock has installed nearly 123,400 cameras throughout the United States.

Mainstream Media Bias in Fauci Hearings: Republicans Were Mean To Him

Anthony Fauci’s July 29 congressional testimony generated extensive media coverage, but the reporting revealed a sharp divide in how the hearing was portrayed. The coverage underscores the left-leaning agenda of the mainstream media. Right-leaning media have concentrated on the facts of the case, the questions asked, and the evidence they argue shows that Fauci knew social distancing and lockdowns were ineffective and that the vaccines may have been harmful.

Left-leaning mainstream media outlets, by contrast, defended Fauci’s decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment while overlooking what his silence left unanswered. They framed the questioning itself, not Fauci’s refusal to answer, as the story and characterized the hearing as partisan theater, with little attention to the substance of the gain-of-function, lockdown, and vaccine-safety questions being asked.

Evidence for the inquiry derives from the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic’s report, *After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward*, a 520-page final report released in December 2024 after a two-year, bipartisan-membership investigation that included more than 100 investigative letters, 38 interviews or depositions, 25 hearings, and review of over a million pages of documents.

The report concluded that SARS-CoV-2 likely leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan rather than emerging naturally, based on the virus’s biological characteristics and illnesses among researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the fall of 2019. It found that the NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and that EcoHealth Alliance, which subawarded those NIH grants, failed to properly oversee the experiments, facilitated the gain-of-function work, and misled the NIH about its research.

The report also concluded that Chinese and U.S. government agencies, along with some members of the international scientific community, sought to cover up facts about the pandemic’s origins.

On mitigation measures, the subcommittee found that masking and social distancing mandates were not based on hard science. It also concluded that the 6-foot social distancing guidance was not supported by science, despite being forcefully implemented by state and local governments. Finally, the report found that prolonged lockdowns caused severe harm to the American economy and to Americans’ mental and physical health, with a particularly negative effect on the young.

Is Anybody Ever Going To Say, “I’m Sorry”?

This week, Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared before Congress and, on the advice of his attorney, repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment rather than answering many of the senators’ questions.

Everyone is talking about what he did or didn’t know, whether he misled Congress, whether he should have answered the questions, and whether he should be held accountable.

But that wasn’t the moment from this week that I can’t stop thinking about.

My husband called me as he was driving home from picking up grain for the hogs. He had stopped at Restaurant Depot to grab pizza boxes and a few supplies for the ranch. Rarely does he pay attention to American politics. Rarely is he interested in the stories that consume me.

He simply asked, “What’s going on with Fauci?”

I explained that he had spent much of the hearing invoking the Fifth Amendment rather than answering senators’ questions.

There was a long pause.

Then he asked me something that caught me completely off guard.

“Is anybody ever going to say, ‘I’m sorry. I was wrong. It cost you and your family everything?”

I had to choke back tears because no—nobody has ever said that to us.

My husband and I worked hard. We built businesses. We lived what most people would call the American dream. We weren’t looking for a bailout. We weren’t failing. In fact, when COVID-19 hit, we were just weeks away from selling our restaurant company under a $31 million contract.

Then came “two weeks to slow the spread.”

Two weeks became months. Months became years.

Government policies, not the virus itself, destroyed everything we had spent decades building.

This hearing didn’t make me feel any better. If anything, it ripped open wounds that had finally started to scar over.

Americans are still carrying losses that will never appear on a government balance sheet. They exist instead as tears in the fabric of lives that once felt secure. Businesses built over decades disappeared. Retirement accounts were drained. Marriages came under tremendous financial pressure. Ours was one of them. Homes were lost. Careers ended. Dreams were abandoned. Six years later, many of those wounds have not healed.

It would be easy to make this article about Fauci, but the truth is he is just one bureaucrat.

He may be the most recognizable face of the pandemic response and one of its highest-paid officials, but he was never acting alone. Governors issued orders. County health departments enforced them. School boards complied. Corporate executives complied. Church leaders complied. Republicans complied. Democrats complied.

And so did we, the people.

That may be the hardest part for me to admit. Yes, I am angry at Fauci, but, to be honest, I am just as angry at us.

When I say “us,” I don’t mean that I personally embraced those policies. I questioned them from the beginning.

I have never been vaccinated. That wasn’t a decision I made because of COVID-19. It was how I had lived my entire life. My mother raised me to question pharmaceuticals and to be cautious about trusting the government. That foundation shaped how I viewed the pandemic from the very beginning.

I don’t think that made me special. I think it made me less susceptible to what I believe was the greatest psychological operation of my lifetime.

But we, the people, largely complied.
