A Rabbi, a Minister, a Monk, and a Priest Took Magic Mushrooms. Here’s What Happened

After scientists asked “psychedelic-naïve” professional religious leaders to take psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, most found the experience “religiously significant, meaningful, and generally beneficial.”

Historically, several world religions incorporate psychedelic compounds in their practices. However, this is the first study to examine what impact these experiences would have on the professional work of leaders from Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism, four of the world’s major religions.

Magic Mushrooms and Mystical Experiences

In their published study, the late Roland Griffiths, of Johns Hopkins University, and Stephen Ross and Anthony Bossis, from New York University Grossman School of Medicine, discuss the role of psychedelic compounds like LSD, psilocybin, ayahuasca, and peyote in religious ceremonies. While uses of these substances vary among cultures and religions, the researchers note that they can induce experiences that share similarities to “non-pharmacologically triggered” experiences often described as “religious, spiritual, or mystical.”

“Mystical experiences are characterized by a range of subjective features including a sense of unity, “noetic” quality (e.g., an authoritative sense of truth), transcendence of time and space, a sense of awe or sacredness, intense positive mood, transiency that nevertheless feels timeless, presence in awareness of mutually exclusive states or concepts, and ineffability,” they explain.

The researchers note that such experiences are also sometimes observed in states of consciousness “associated with near-death experiences, meditation, prayer, fasting, breathwork, and music.” Although psychedelics continue to be used in some Indigenous religious contexts, the researchers note “they are generally not used within major world religions (e.g., Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam).”

Curious if these religious leaders would have similar experiences and how these experiences might affect their job performance, the team recruited volunteers from all four major religions. According to the results, the study participants experienced several impacts on their personal and professional lives, including “enduring increases in well-being and spirituality,” that lasted up to 16 months after taking magic mushrooms.

PBS Reporter Calls Rioting “Almost Festival Like”

The legacy media is still at it.

Everyone knows that for four days unhinged leftists and criminal opportunists caused anarchy in LA, rioting, attacking police and looting stores. Yet the media is still proclaiming everything is not only peaceful, but happy and joyful.

They’ve had reporters on the ground standing in front of burning cars with explosions going off around them while claiming it’s all ‘mostly peaceful’, ‘fun’, ‘joyful’, ‘pretty quiet’, ‘relatively mellow’, ‘celebratory’ and all about ‘hope and community’.

Now here’s the latest from PBS. It’s “almost festival like” while flashbangs explode right next to this moron.

Note how they always say “almost.”

It’s almost festival like, but not quite because of all the burning cars, assaults and looting.

Florida sheriff warns anti-ICE protesters ‘we will kill you’ if you so much as ‘throw a brick’

A Florida Sheriff delivered a stern warning to anyone planning protests against ICE or President Trump — threatening to respond to violence with deadly force.

“If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains because we will kill you, graveyard dead. We’re not going to play,” Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said Thursday.

“If you try to mob rule a car in Brevard County, gathering around it, refusing to let the driver leave in our county, you’re most likely going to get run over and dragged across the street,” the Republican sheriff said during the immigration news conference.

“If you spit on us, you’re going to the hospital, then jail. If you hit one of us, you’re going to the hospital, jail, and most likely get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs we have here,” Ivey warned.

The sheriff’s deadly declaration comes as a slew of anti-Trump and anti-ICE protests are expected to continue across the nation this weekend.

“I Am Senator Alex Padilla!”: Democrat Lawmaker Deported From DHS Press Conference, Placed In Handcuffs

Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) was physically removed from a DHS press conference and placed in handcuffs on Thursday, after reportedly lunging at Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem during a press conference in Los Angeles.

As Axios reports;

In a video posted to X by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, Padilla was seen being grabbed and pushed out of the press conference while saying he had “questions for the secretary.”

  • “I am Senator Alex Padilla,” Padilla said in the video. He was then grabbed by multiple men and shoved out of the room.
  • Further video showed Padilla being handcuffed and detained in the hallway outside the room.
  • “He is not currently detained, and we are working to get additional information,” Padilla’s office said in a statement on Thursday.

Noem subsequently said she would contact Padilla and “try to have a conversation,” NBC News reported.

Is a Civil Conflict Looming? 1500 Protests Planned for Saturday in Support of Illegal Aliens

NoKings.org has emerged as a highly controversial website that has gained significant attention online. Notably, it appears to be facilitating organized protests and confrontations across major and minor cities throughout the United States and extending into Mexico. This platform has been hosted by GoDaddy, a web development service that has previously faced criticism for denying hosting services to numerous conservative websites.

The site allows users to input their zip code, subsequently providing access to Zoom meetings with local riot coordinators. Additionally, there are larger Zoom sessions featuring national Democratic leaders who outline strategies for resisting law enforcement and provide guidance on how to navigate legal frameworks. Within these local meetings, participants receive explicit instructions on what supplies to bring, including gas masks, radios, ropes for circumventing police lines, first aid kits, megaphones, and even advice on acquiring fireworks.

They also suggest using Vaseline as a protective barrier against chemical irritants. Participants are encouraged to look on Craigslist for financial compensation as “contractors,” with the implication that they should possess a certain toughness and resilience under pressure. Discussions in private chat groups have even included the use of box cutters for slashing tires.

This situation represents a profound challenge to the fabric of our nation. It raises critical questions about why major tech companies, including Google, are permitting such activities to persist. The identity of the website’s owner remains undisclosed, adding to the concerns surrounding its operations.

A forthcoming Zoom meeting is scheduled for June 16th, with an expectation that discussions will continue for over 24 hours. The invitation states, “Join us Monday, June 16th, to debrief and discuss strategies for the next confrontation.” The phrase “next confrontation” suggests a readiness to engage in violence, raising alarms about the motivations behind recruiting individuals described as “badass.”

Western war hawks lack plan to defeat Russia – Pentagon chief

Western officials who speak of Ukraine winning the ongoing conflict don’t have a real strategy for defeating Russia, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has said.

Testifying before the House Armed Services Committee on Thursday, the Pentagon chief declined to directly say whether he views Russia as a “true adversary” or whether Washington would allow a “complete surrender of Ukraine” in order to secure peace in the region.

The Trump administration is instead seeking a settlement to the Ukraine conflict that will last, not Kiev’s surrender or Russia’s defeat.

“The situation is unfortunate, unleashed by the previous administration,” he said, referring to former President Joe Biden, whom Trump’s team blames for entangling the US in the Ukraine conflict. Biden’s government repeatedly vowed to back Kiev for as long as it took to defeat Russia militarily.

“But everyone that talks about winning and prevailing is yet to present to me a plan that’s going to push the Russian army out of those territories,” Hegseth added.

By Promoting Amnesty For Illegal Workers, Trump Is Selling Out ‘America First’ For Cheap Labor

“Mass Deportations Now.”

It wasn’t just a slogan on signs — it was a rallying cry that galvanized millions of voters. The promise was the restoration of American sovereignty through the removal of all illegal aliens — not just the violent ones. Americans understand that national unity requires assimilation, and assimilation is impossible when millions pour in illegally and remain indefinitely. The message that won the election was not “Mass Deportations, But Only For The Worst Offenders.”

But on Thursday President Donald Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace. In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”

He later doubled down on the comments during a press briefing.

“[Farmers] have very good workers; they’ve worked for them for 20 years. They’re not citizens, but they’ve turned out to be, you know, great. … We can’t take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don’t have, maybe, what they’re supposed to have, maybe not.”

But sovereignty doesn’t yield to staffing shortages. American immigration policy should never be dictated by the labor needs of employers, especially not in industries built around a permanent, low-wage migrant workforce. And while there may be a legitimate case for limited, legal, seasonal migration in agriculture, allowing a worker shortage to become the justification for lawbreaking and mass amnesty reduces citizenship or legal status to a commodity and the nation to marketplace.

As The Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson pointed out in a post on X, “This is amnesty. … [Trump is] also making a declaration that businesses that openly flout US immigration law (for decades!) will face no consequences. This isn’t how you end illegal immigration. It’s how you entrench it.”

Iran Confirms Internal Radioactive Contamination at Natanz Nuclear Site After Israeli Airstrike — Claims No Radiation Leak to Public

Israel yesterday launched a targeted airstrike against Iran’s Natanz uranium‑enrichment facility.

Iran’s own Atomic Energy Organization now confirms that radioactive contamination was found inside the site, but emphasizes there has been no radiation leak into the surrounding environment, declaring, “no public risk.”

On Friday morning, Israeli military forces attacked several locations in Iran, including residential areas in the capital, Tehran. Several explosions were heard across the country.

At the same time, images of several locations in Tehran being targeted were posted on social media. The Israeli Minister of War issued a decree declaring a special state of emergency on Friday morning.

The international news reported Thursday that numerous countries recalled their officials from many embassies in the Middle East prior to the anticipated Israeli strikes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Thursday night’s strike targeted and successfully hit one of Iran’s top nuclear facilities.

“Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium for nine atom bombs, nine,” Netanyahu said. “In recent months, Iran is taking steps that it has never taken before, steps to weaponize this enriched uranium. And if not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time.”

ATF to Return Legal Gun Parts, Leaving 16 Blue State AGs to Suffer a Collective Meltdown

The whole “bump stock” hooraw has been settled, for the time being, following the Trump administration’s settling of a lawsuit brought by the National Association for Gun Rights. These devices, more properly called “forced-reset triggers,” allow for firing a semi-automatic rifle more quickly, at the cost of some accuracy. In the interests of complete reporting, we should note that the action of one of these devices can be duplicated with such readily available things as rubber bands or belt loops. Following the settlement, the ATF has been ordered to return some 100,000 seized devices to their rightful owners.

To summarize, 100,000 pieces of legally owned private property are being returned to their owners.

So, of course, 16 blue state attorneys general are screeching and soiling themselves in terror. They are demanding that these people not be given back their property, and as is typical, they don’t even know what they’re talking about. Consider this, from Colorado’s AG, Phil Weiser:

“The law is clear: Machine guns, and devices that turn a semiautomatic weapon into a machine gun, are illegal,” Weiser said in a statement. “We’re suing to stop the ATF and the administration from making our communities more dangerous by distributing thousands of devices that turn firearms into weapons of war.”

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. These are not machine guns, and they cannot turn a semi-automatic weapon into a machine gun. With or without a forced-reset trigger, the weapon functions the same: One shot for each trigger pull. The device makes it easier to fire more quickly, but so can a thumb thrust through a belt loop.

Furthermore, machine guns are not illegal. The supply is restricted, they are very expensive, and one has to go through a defined process to own one, including a background check and payment of a “transfer tax.” But they are not illegal. Given money and patience, any law-abiding citizen can legally own one. Like this guy does.

OUTRAGEOUS: Obama Judge Blocks President Trump’s Executive Order Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote in Federal Elections

Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Denise J. Casper issued a preliminary injunction blocking key provisions of President Trump’s executive order aimed at securing federal elections by requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to vote.

The executive order, officially titled Executive Order No. 14248, was intended to plug the gaping holes in America’s voter registration system, which currently allows individuals to vote in federal elections with nothing more than a signed statement affirming their citizenship — no ID, no birth certificate, no passport.

But Judge Casper, siding with liberal Attorneys General from 14 Democrat-led states, ruled that Trump’s common-sense order was “likely unlawful and unconstitutional.”

The injunction now bars enforcement of the order’s five most critical provisions — including the requirement that:

  • Proof of Citizenship for Federal Voter Registration: The court blocked Section 2(a) of the order, which required the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to mandate documentary proof of citizenship on the federal voter registration form and for states to record such proof.
  • Military Voting Protections: The ruling blocks Section 3(d), which directed the Secretary of Defense to update the federal postcard application—used by service members and overseas voters—to require proof of citizenship and state voting eligibility.
  • Verification at Public Assistance Agencies: Section 2(d) was struck down. It required federal departments providing voter registration services through public assistance programs to verify citizenship before distributing registration forms.
  • Enforcement Measures: The judge barred civil or criminal enforcement under Section 7(a) in 13 Democrat-controlled states (including California, Massachusetts, New York, and Illinois) that allow ballots to arrive after Election Day.
  • Election Day Deadline Incentives: Finally, Section 7(b), which tied federal election funding to states’ compliance with having a ballot receipt deadline on Election Day, was blocked from being applied to the same 13 “Ballot Receipt States.”

In essence, this activist judge just gave the green light to non-citizens to continue exploiting America’s porous voter registration laws — all while handcuffing states and agencies trying to enforce basic accountability.

The plaintiffs in the case include California, Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, and other liberal strongholds — the very states that have fought tooth and nail to block election reform and have extended voting privileges to non-citizens in local elections.

Now, with the federal judiciary’s backing, they’re trying to apply those same disastrous policies at the national level.
