Activists Admit ‘Nonpartisan’ Voter Registration Schemes Were Always About Boosting Democrats

A member of the Democratic National Committee admitted that so-called nonpartisan voter registration schemes were always, in fact, partisan.

The New York Times’ Shane Goldmacher and Jonah Smith concede in an analysis on Democrats’ cratering voter registration numbers that “For years, the left has relied on a sprawling network of nonprofits — which solicit donations from people whose identities they need not disclose — to register Black, Latino and younger voters. Though the groups are technically nonpartisan, the underlying assumption has been that most new voters registering would vote Democrat.”

But it’s Democrat strategist and member of the Democratic National Committee Maria Cardona who admits the underlying strategy of these supposedly non-partisan organizations: It was never about engaging voters; it was about engaging voters who would vote Democrat.

Now, with President Trump’s gains among minority voters, “you can’t just register a young Latino or a young Black voter and assume that they’re going to know that it’s Democrats that have the best policies,” Cardona told Goldmacher.

In other words, as pointed out on X by investigative researcher Parker Thayer, “All of the sudden the ‘nonpartisan’ voter registration nonprofits don’t seem to care about the civic participation of minorities any more.”

These supposedly nonpartisan registration groups only cared about registering minorities when they assumed those voters would be reliably Democrat. Now that President Trump and Republicans are making inroads with demographics that once seemed safely Democrat, the party is worried its “nonpartisan” efforts could backfire.

Of course such an admission is not surprising. Just after taking office, then-President Joe Biden issued an executive order mandating federal agencies register and mobilize voters “with the express intent of increasing election participation among minority groups that tend to vote disproportionately Democrat,” as Ben Weingarten explained in these pages. The order instructed agencies to enlist the help of “nonpartisan third-party organizations … to provide voter registration services on agency premises.”

In analyzing “Bidenbucks” recipients who participated in a July 2021 “listening session,” The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project found that “Every participant whose party affiliation or political donation history could be identified by the Oversight Project was identified as a Democrat except for one Green Party member.”

CNN, MSNBC Parade Discredited Spooks to Smear Trump’s Peace Talks

Corporate media networks have turned to former intelligence and defense officials to criticize President Donald Trump’s recent diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.

Trump hosted a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday and then welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to the White House on Monday for discussions on peace.

CNN and MSNBC have featured several former officials who previously advanced discredited narratives, including on the Hunter Biden laptop and the Steele Dossier, to question Trump’s strategy.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton appeared on CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins on August 8, where he criticized the decision to host Putin in the United States.

“The only better place for Putin than Alaska would be if the summit were being held in Moscow,” Bolton said.

“So, the initial setup, I think, is a great victory for Putin. He’s a rogue leader of a pariah state, and he’s going to be welcomed into the United States.”

Legal Experts: ChatGPT and AI Models Should Face Medical Review for Human Testing, Weigh Serious Mental Health Risks to Users

When studies are done on human beings, they are required to have an “Institutional Review Board” or “IRB” review the study, and formally approve the research, this is not being done at present for federally-funded work with AI/LLM programs and may, experts warn, be significantly harming U.S. citizens.

This is done because studies are being conducted on human beings.
Critics say that ‘Large Language Models’ powered by Artificial Intelligence, platforms like “Claude” and “ChatGPT” are engaged in this kind of human research and should be subject to board review and approval.

And they point out that current HHS policies would appear to require IRB-review for all federally-funded research on human subjects, but that Big Tech companies have so far evaded such review.

IRB Rules (45 C.F.R. 46.109, “The Common Rule”), requires all federally funded human-subjects research to go through IRB approval, informed consent, and continuing oversight.

Some courts have recognized that failure to obtain IRB approval can be used as evidence in itself of negligence or misconduct.

Even low-impact and otherwise innocent research requires this kind of professional review to ensure that harmful effects are not inadvertently caused to the human participants. Most modern surveys are often required to have an IRB review prior to its start.

Already, scientists have raised alarm about the mental and psychological impact of LLM use among the population.

One legal expert who is investigating the potential for a class action against these Big Tech giants on this issue told the Gateway Pundit, “under these rules, if you read them closely, at a minimum, HHS should be terminating every single federal contract at a university that works on Artificial Intelligence.”

This issue came up in 2014, when Facebook was discovered to have been changing and manipulating their algorithms on 700,000 people to see how they responded. This testing on human subjects may have seemed benign to some, but there was a risk that long-term mental and emotional health was significantly impacted. In 2018, the same complaints were made about the Cambridge Analytica program where a private company harvested millions of Facebook user profiles in order to more accurately market to those individuals.
Studies, including this 2019 study in the Journal ‘Frontiers in Psychology’, have examined the many ethical issues about Facebook’s actions, including how it selected whom to test upon, the intentions of testing on these individuals, and the ethics of doing so on children.

The legal expert pointed out to the Gateway Pundit, “People are using these systems, like ChatGPT, to discuss their mental health. Their responses are being used in their training data. Companies like OpenAI and Anthropic admit user chats may be stored and used for “training.” Yet under IRB standards, that kind of data collection would usually require informed consent forms explaining risks, yet none are provided.”

X Slams Brazil for Censorship, Secret Orders, and Free Speech Crackdown in USTR Trade Investigation

As part of an ongoing investigation by the US Trade Representative (USTR) into Brazil’s treatment of American digital platforms, X has filed a stark warning about what it describes as intensifying threats to freedom of expression and the rule of law in Brazil.

The USTR probe, focused on policies that may harm US companies, closed its comment period on August 18, with a hearing scheduled for September 3.

We obtained a copy of the comments for you here.

X’s submission outlines a series of aggressive measures by Brazilian authorities that the company says are undermining internet freedom and imposing extraterritorial censorship demands.

Among the most concerning developments, according to the platform, is a ruling from Brazil’s Supreme Court in June 2025 that gutted a core protection in the country’s 2014 internet law, the Marco Civil da Internet (MCI).

By declaring Article 19 partially unconstitutional, the ruling opened the door for tech platforms to be held legally responsible for user-generated content, without requiring judicial oversight.

This, X argues, has increased operational burdens and incentivized preemptive content removals.

The platform also warned that Brazil’s judiciary, particularly under Justice Alexandre de Moraes, has been issuing covert content removal orders targeting journalists, politicians, and even US users.

These directives are often enforced without any notice or opportunity to appeal, a practice X says raises serious concerns about due process and transparency.

Further, the company expressed alarm over Brazil’s Superior Court of Justice asserting jurisdiction beyond its borders. According to X, the court has ordered content to be removed globally, even when such content is legal in countries like the United States. The court has described this overreach as a “natural consequence” of the internet, a justification X contends disregards international legal norms.

X also highlighted what it sees as the Brazilian judiciary’s disregard for the US-Brazil Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT).

Deep State Meltdown: Trump-Russia Hoaxer Joel Willett Whines on X After Tulsi Gabbard Revokes His Security Clearance

The Deep State is in full meltdown mode after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard followed through on her promise to clean house and revoked the security clearances of 37 corrupt officials tied to the Trump–Russia hoax.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported Tulsi Gabbard stripped security clearances from 37 Deep State officials tied to the Trump-Russia hoax.

“Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right. Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. In doing so, they undermine our national security, the safety and security of the American people and the foundational principles of our democratic republic,” Tulsi said.

One of those names on the list? Joel Willett.

Joel Willett, a former Army and CIA officer who has now taken to social media crying about his “service” while smearing Tulsi and President Trump.

Willett is a veteran of the U.S. Army, with additional service in the U.S. Intelligence Community and at the National Security Council, where he served in the White House Situation Room.

Ukrainian arrested in Italy over Nord Stream sabotage – German prosecutors

Italian police have arrested a Ukrainian man who it is claimed is suspected of involvement in the bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, German prosecutors reported on Thursday.

The man, referred to only as Sergey K, was detained near Rimini on the basis of a European arrest warrant. German investigators believe he led a unit that blew up sections of the pipelines in September 2022.

The attacks, which ruptured both the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea, were, improbably, initially blamed on Russian operatives. But German prosecutors later traced a rented sailing yacht to the operation and linked it to Ukrainian nationals.

Investigators say Sergey K was part of a group that placed explosives on the pipelines near the island of Bornholm in September 2022. The accused was allegedly one of the coordinators of the operation. He and his accomplices are said to have used a sailing yacht that departed from the German city of Rostock. The vessel had previously been rented from a German company through intermediaries using forged identification documents.

Trump administration tiptoes into testing prior authorization in traditional Medicare

Traditional Medicare plan holders have typically not had to wait for prior authorization before receiving medical treatment.

Until now.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced a new program to test prior authorization requirements for certain services in six states starting Jan. 1.

The states — New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and Washington — will apply prior authorization evaluations to more than a dozen services.

CMS says the pilot program is intended to root out “fraud, waste, and abuse,” but as Medicare Advantage members know well, prior authorization can lead to frustrating delays in care.

How it works

CMS will contract with private companies to deploy “enhanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI)” to conduct the authorization reviews.

It won’t apply to in-patient or emergency services or treatments “that would pose a substantial risk to patients if significantly delayed,” according to a CMS press release. Specific services that will require prior authorization are skin and tissue substitutes, electrical nerve stimulator implants, and knee arthroscopy.

There is genuine concern about the costs of some of these items and services. A recent New York Times article highlighted pricey medical products, including paper-thin bandages made of dried bits of placenta, for Medicare patients.

Biden-Appointed Judge Shockingly Rules Against Birthright Citizenship — Ninth Circuit Says Children of Foreign Diplomats Are NOT Automatically U.S. Citizens

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has just ruled that a man born in New York City in 1950 is NOT an American citizen.

The court affirmed what the Constitution’s framers and generations of Americans have always understood, the Fourteenth Amendment does not grant automatic citizenship to children born in the U.S. to foreign diplomats.

The case involved Roberto Moncada, who was born in New York City in 1950 while his father served as a Nicaraguan attaché at the United Nations.

For nearly seventy years, Moncada lived as an American, holding passports and even swearing oaths of allegiance multiple times.

But in 2018, after reviewing records, the government discovered that his father had served as an attaché, a diplomatic position that carried full immunity, not a simple consul as previously believed.

That detail changed everything. Under the Fourteenth Amendment, only those born “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States are citizens.

Children of foreign ministers and diplomats are explicitly excluded. Moncada’s father’s immunity meant his entire household, including his newborn son, was outside U.S. jurisdiction.

The court reviewed conflicting evidence, including records listing Moncada’s father as both “Deputy Consul” and “Attaché.” But after weighing the record, most importantly the State Department’s “Blue List” identifying him as an attaché with full diplomatic privileges, the panel concluded that the government had proved by clear and convincing evidence that Moncada was never a U.S. citizen

Moncada filed suit in 2019 to challenge that decision.

Here’s A Pile Of Evidence Lockdowns Would Never Have Happened Without Corporate Media

Artificial intelligence may make books even more important, because they preserve a footnoted historical record that an AI-powered internet edits, erases, and obscures in real time. This is why I dedicate hard-earned family funds to buying physical books worth keeping, such as Sen. Rand Paul’s Deception: The Great Covid Cover-up.

Although a part of me wants to join many Americans in pretending lockdowns are all in a misty, distant past, I can’t do that, because to forget would dishonor the suffering. It would deliberately discard what we learned at so great a price. I want to see and preserve evidence of the evils our political class and Democrat voters continue to inflict. Remembering may be the only way to help prevent or dilute repeated mass psychoses.

This is why I read An Abundance of Caution, a book out in April by the left-leaning journalist David Zweig, who has bylines in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The Wall Street Journal. Zweig meticulously inspects a linchpin of the surreal U.S. lockdowns, extended school closures, against good evidence available not just weeks after they began but well before.

The End of Credential Credibility

Abundance of Caution documents how America’s disaster response disqualified the vast majority of America’s credentialed class. For example, three out of the four most accurate groups of people modeling Covid cases, hospitalizations, and deaths were outside of the public health field. Several were “random” stats guys.

“A team from a management consulting firm, along with — to be frank, two random guys — McConnell and Karlen, outperformed teams of researchers from Johns Hopkins, MIT, Duke, Columbia, the University of Michigan, the famed IHME, and the US Department of Energy’s elite Los Alamos National Laboratory, among others.” Zweig writes. “It is hard to imagine a more damning indictment of public health ‘experts’ than this outcome.”

As a longtime fact-checker for major publications and a father of two children shut out of school, Zweig also had internal motivations to question his political tribe’s hysteria during a presidential election year.

“[S]chool policies emerge as a window into the larger conversation around COVID-19 and, broader still, a prism through which to approach fundamental questions about why and how individuals, bureaucracies, governments, and societies act as they do in times of crisis,” Zweig writes in his introduction. “Ultimately, this is not a book about COVID. It’s about a country ill-equipped to act sensibly under duress.”

Israel launches attack on Gaza City

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has begun “the first stages” of an operation to take over Gaza City, a military spokesman has announced.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to seize the city in order to achieve full control of Gaza was approved by the Jewish state’s security cabinet two weeks ago.

IDF spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said on Wednesday that Israeli forces are already “holding the outskirts of Gaza City” and will “deepen” attacks on Palestinian armed group Hamas in the densely populated area.

Netanyahu later said he had ordered the military to “shorten the timelines for seizing the last terror strongholds and for the defeat of Hamas.”

The IDF is expected to present its plan for the capture of Gaza City to the prime minister on Thursday, military sources have told local media. Earlier this week, the IDF announced it would be calling up another 60,000 reservists ahead of the operation.
