Ex-FBI official’s leaks expose ties to high-profile investigations

A disgraced FBI veteran’s betrayal has rocked the bureau’s credibility. Charles McGonigal, once a top counterintelligence official, leaked sensitive details about a probe into a Chinese firm tied to Hunter Biden’s business ventures, as Just the News reports. His fall from grace exposes a tangled web of high-stakes investigations.

McGonigal’s leaks centered on CEFC, a Chinese conglomerate linked to Hunter Biden, while he oversaw major FBI cases from Chinese espionage to Trump-Russia probes. From 2010 to 2012, he led a hunt for a Chinese mole that saw over a dozen CIA sources vanish or die. Yet, he himself fed information to a China-linked associate, casting doubt on his loyalty.

In 2010, McGonigal investigated a CIA mole, later pinpointing Jerry Chun Shing Lee as a suspect. Lee, caught with classified notes, conspired with Chinese intelligence but wasn’t arrested until 2018, despite the FBI’s chance to nab him earlier. The delay raises questions about the bureau’s judgment under McGonigal’s watch.

Mole hunt, leaky ship

McGonigal’s role in the mole hunt was critical, yet he leaked details about CEFC to a figure tied to Albanian and Chinese interests. “A veteran FBI counterintelligence agent, Charles McGonigal, was assigned to run it,” the New York Times noted, but his own leaks to China-linked targets mock that legacy. The hypocrisy stinks of double standards.

By 2016, McGonigal was section chief at FBI headquarters, overseeing cyber-counterintelligence. Promoted by James Comey to lead New York’s counterintelligence division, he juggled probes into Huawei, WikiLeaks, and terrorist attacks like TWA Flight 800. His résumé, though glittering, now looks like a roadmap of compromised trust.

McGonigal’s fingerprints were on the Trump-Russia probe, Crossfire Hurricane, which branded Trump a Russian asset. He received early tips from Alexander Downer about Russian “dirt” on Clinton, sparking the investigation. Yet, his own leaks to foreign players suggest the FBI’s moralizing was a selective charade.

Crossfire Hurricane’s tainted roots

“I’m sure you will be glad once Tuesday has come and gone,” McGonigal texted agent Peter Strzok before the 2016 election, hinting at political bias. The FBI’s briefing to Clinton’s campaign in 2015 was a cozy heads-up about Turkish influence, while Trump’s 2016 briefing doubled as a fishing expedition. Lindsey Graham called it a “clear double standard” in 2020, and McGonigal’s role fuels the skepticism.

McGonigal’s defense lawyer, Seth DuCharme, praised his “extraordinary service” in sentencing memos, conveniently ignoring his client’s Chinese mole hunt or Crossfire ties. DuCharme’s selective storytelling sidesteps the inconvenient truth: McGonigal’s leaks undermine his heroic narrative. The omission reeks of spin.

In 2017, McGonigal fretted over leaks about a FISA warrant on Trump aide Carter Page, texting, “It will create a real issue for us if it is made public.” The irony is rich — McGonigal, the leaker, feared leaks. His actions suggest the FBI’s internal rot ran deeper than suspected.

Former Trump Cabinet Member Says Marijuana Rescheduling Would Help To ‘Destroy This Country’

Ben Carson, President Donald Trump’s former secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), says a move to reschedule marijuana that the administration is actively considering would play into plots to “destroy this country.”

In an interview with Fox Business on Monday, Carson reiterated his opposition to cannabis reform as Trump weighs a proposal to transfer marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

Asked why he feels his “caution” against rescheduling could lead the administration to reject the reform, Carson said that “with a lot of things, it’s just a matter of common sense.”

“It’s a matter of putting the facts on the table and then making policy decisions based on what those facts are,” he said, pointing to a study he claims found a “dramatic increase in crime” in neighborhoods with cannabis dispensaries.

“It doesn’t take a great deal of intellect to recognize that when you put these substances into communities and you make them easy to obtain, you get a much worse result,” Carson said. “Also, people say, ‘Well, you know, when I was young, I smoked marijuana. It didn’t cause me to have a lot of problems.’ Recognize that the marijuana of the 60s and 70s was much less potent than the marijuana today.”

New York Health Dept Defies FDA: Hochul’s Emergency Order Pushes Off-Label COVID Shots For Kids As Young as 3

New York’s department of public health released a series of odd guidances to pharmacists and physicians on Friday to promote COVID vaccines to children and adults for “off label” use, meaning in conflict with FDA’s official label. Signed by Governor Kathy Hochul, New York’s executive order 52 declares a “disaster in the state of New York due to federal actions related to vaccine access.”

“A friend of mine said they’re contacting the nurse’s union,” a New York City nurse texted me, shortly after New York released their new COVID vaccine guidance. “They don’t know wtf to do with that!”

A New York physician sent me documents the state’s health department sent to physicians and pharmacists, called “providers” in healthcare lingo. She and the majority of her colleagues no longer get COVID boosters, and she’s worried that the new guidance for “off label” use makes no sense, does not fully inform patients, and might be illegal.

Pfizer pled guilty to criminal charges and paid a record $2.3 billion fine for illegal, off label promotion of multiple drugs in 2009. As previously reported here, Biden’s FDA Commissioner and CDC Director both promoted COVID vaccines for uses that the FDA admitted were off label. No evidence exists that pharmaceutical companies helped to shape New York’s off label policy, but CNBC reported in 2021 that Governor Hochul’s daughter-in-law is a top lobbyist at a pharma firm that has sought to influence NY lawmakers.

Nepal’s PM quits and flees as his house is burned down by protesters who also chase finance minister through streets and attack him following outcry over social media ban

Nepal’s Prime Minister has resigned and fled after protesters burned down his house and chased his finance minister through the streets before attacking him, following public fury over a social media ban.

Young Nepalis are leading angry protests across the country, with violence spreading in the capital and other cities.

After enraged crowds torched KP Sharma Oli’s home, a new video footage has shown how Bishnu Prasad Paudel was pursued and set upon by a mob through the streets of Kathmandu.

In the shocking clip, Paudel, 65, is seen sprinting down a road as dozens run after him. A protester coming from the other side leaps and kicks him, sending him crashing against a red wall.

The government official quickly gets up, stumbles, but starts running again before the video ends. Paudel, who doubles as the deputy prime minister of the country, has faced intense criticism since he began running Nepal’s economic affairs last year.

Meanwhile, Oli, 73, stepped down a day after one of the bloodiest crackdowns in years left at least 19 dead.

He had only begun his fourth term last year, following a coalition deal between his Communist Party and the centre-left Nepali Congress.

His departure came after three other ministers also resigned, even though the government had lifted the ban on social media. The country’s president, Ram Chandra Poudel, has now started the process of selecting a new leader.

Israel attacks Hamas leadership in Qatar

he Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday it has attacked Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar.

“The IDF and ISA conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization,” the Israeli military group posted on X. “For years, these members of the Hamas leadership have led the terrorist organization’s operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7 massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel.

The leaders of Hamas, the Palestinian group with which Israel has been at war for nearly two years, have had their headquarters outside of Gaza for years.

“Prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence. The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre,” the IDF also posted on X.

The attack reportedly happened late Tuesday afternoon local time.

A senior Hamas official told CNN that their negotiators were targeted. Hamas’ chief negotiator Khalil Al-Hayya met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Doha on Monday.

A senior Israeli official told CNN that among those targeted was Al-Hayya.

“We are awaiting the results of the strike,” the official said.

Hamilton man ordered to take down security cameras on home due to city by-law

On Monday’s live stream, Sheila Gunn Reid and Tamara Ugolini discussed a Hamilton, Ont. man being ordered by the city to take down the security cameras on his home in order to comply with a by-law.

Dan Myles, who has 10 security cameras on his home, was recently ordered by the city to remove the cameras over a by-law that restricts people from having cameras that view beyond the perimeters of their property.

He claims the cameras have actually been valuable assets for law enforcement over the years. “I’ve actually participated in evidence sharing of three homicides on these cameras, over 40 break and enters, multiple home invasions, car break and enters, assaults, you name it,” he said, as reported by Global News.

Sheila condemned the City of Hamilton for enforcing the by-law order on Myles to remove the security cameras from the outside of his home.

“He put some serious investment in this, and they’re making him pull it down. Why? Because he’s showing everybody the criminality of the neighbourhood,” she said.

“That’s the real problem. He’s the criminal, not the real criminals. Heaven forbid we see the license plate of the people who pull up to rob your house because he recorded a little off his driveway,” Sheila continued.

Myles has reportedly appealed the order and was told he could possibly be given an exemption if he provides a number of items including signed permission from neighbouring homeowners, police reports that support a need for the cameras, and a letter of support from his landlord.

Supreme Court Throws Out 90-Year-Old Precedent, Allows Trump To Fire FTC Commissioner

Chief Justice John Roberts issued an administrative stay Monday that has effectively put a 90-year-old Supreme Court precedent on the brink of being overturned. The ruling, made without explanation on the court’s emergency docket, allows President Donald Trump to proceed with his firing of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, despite a lower court and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals having blocked the action just last week.

The decision has significant ramifications for the independence of federal agencies and could pave the way for President Trump to fire Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook.

A Battle Over Executive Power

The legal battle centers on the 1935 Supreme Court case, Humphrey’s Executor v. United States, which held that a president can’t fire officials at independent agencies for mere policy disagreements. The precedent established that “cause” for removal must be based on “inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office.”

Last week, both U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan and a majority of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals had sided with Slaughter, finding that the circumstances of her firing by the Trump administration “almost identically mirror” the facts of the Humphrey’s Executor case. The D.C. Circuit majority, comprised of Judges Patricia Millett and Cornelia Pillard, stated that doing anything but reinstating Slaughter “would be to defy the Supreme Court’s decisions that bind our judgments.”

Charlotte Dem. mayor faces backlash after urging for ‘compassion’ for suspect who brutally stabbed Ukrainian refugee

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles is facing criticism after urging compassion for the man accused of fatally stabbing a female Ukrainian refugee on a train in August.

The murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee who recently moved to the United States to escape the war, has garnered significant outrage on social media after emerging last week due to the gruesome and unprovoked nature of the attack.

The violent stabbing took place on the Lynx Blue Line train in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 22nd after Zarutska unknowingly sat in front of the suspect, 35-year-old Decarlos Brown.

Lyles has since responded to the attack, calling on the community to treat Brown with “compassion” due to his apparent struggle with “homelessness and mental health.”

“This is a tragic situation that sheds light on problems with society safety nets related to mental healthcare and the systems that should be in place,” Lyles wrote in a statement to a local reporter after the attack.

Lyles went on to claim that Brown “appears to have suffered a crisis” during the attack, while explaining that “we will never arrest our way out [of] issues such as homelessness and mental health.”

The Democrat mayor continued, noting that Brown, an apparent homeless individual, “needs to be treated with the same compassion, diligence and commitment as cancer and heart disease.”

Lyles added that she is not participating in “villainizing those who struggle with their mental health or those who are unhoused.”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump slammed the suspect as a “mentally deranged lunatic” and a “well-known career criminal, who had been previously arrested and released on CASHLESS BAIL in January, a total of 14 TIMES.”

The president issued his outrage over the murder in a Monday Truth Social post, criticizing Democrat policies for directly allowing the suspect to roam the streets despite repeated arrests.

BUSTED AGAIN! Letitia James’s Fraudulent $200,000 Credit Line Mortgage in 2021 Could Land Her in Prison for 15-30 Years

Letitia James’s New York State mortgage records indicate that she committed mortgage fraud on a $200,000 “Credit Line Mortgage” with Citizens Bank in 2021.

Like other mortgages, it requires a signed note, a mortgage document, and recording with the county clerk.

The mortgage document shows that James misrepresented her five-unit apartment building as a single-family dwelling.

This false claim allowed James to avoid significantly higher commercial loan closing costs and a higher interest rate.

In New York, the number of units in a property determines whether a loan qualifies as a residential mortgage with lower interest rates (1 to 4 family dwellings) or whether it’s a commercial/multifamily building mortgage with higher interest rates and closing costs (5 or more dwelling units).

The official Certificate of Occupancy for Letitia James’s building at 296 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn describes it as a “FIVE (5) FAMILY DWELLING.”

Fake news is growing at an alarming rate during Trump’s second term in office

The Epstein case, the Trump assassination and Russian double agents being poisoned in the UK are all stories which read like spy novels. How much of these stories which we read about are actually true?

With the recent interview by prosecutors of Ghislaine Maxwell shocking some with its whitewash of Donald Trump with regards to the Epstein saga, one truth rings out for those who worry about the West’s democratic legitimacy. Fake news is unquestionably on the rise. For Maxwell to have struck a deal with Trump there must have been a media mind-set there all along which could distort a narrative so much that it makes Trump come out of the Epstein saga as innocent, despite the proven close proximity of these two men for decades.

It is believed that it was Maxwell who revealed details of a letter or note written to Epstein by Trump which included a drawing of a naked women. Trump, stupidly denied this and claimed he never did ‘doodles’ which only pushed a number of amateur hacks to dig up further examples of his doodles. But the jab at Trump was well thought out. It hit home as she was soon transferred to a lower security jail with better privileges and swiftly, it would seem, is being processed so that Trump can pardon her and she can leave the U.S.

The U.S. media, in reporting on the hours of interviews and the tome of a transcript which was leaked to them, are simply unable to do the most elementary thing that all journalists should do naturally when being offered information: be sceptical.

There is no trace of any scepticism though whatsoever which gives a clue just how journalists have sunk in the west as a profession which it was believed, once upon a time, was supposed to hold elites to account. What we are witnessing with the Maxwell interview is the most disingenuous pack of lies crafted specifically to clear Trump, Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton being packaged by journalists who know they are playing a nefarious role in re-writing the whole Epstein story. A whitewash on a grand scale which will probably work to get Trump, Clinton and Prince Andrew off the hook as it will be the media itself which repeats and endorses it over a longer period. It will stick.

Yet in recent times, such a scandal as Maxwell’s stunt, hardly stands alone. There have been a number of major media distortions to serve as a convenient support mechanism for elites both in the U.S. and in the UK.

Just recently in the US, fringe media outlets and their social media accounts have been looking at the so-called Trump assassination attempt in July 2024, questioning whether the President was actually shot at all or faked it using a trick mastered by Hollywood actors.

A retired police detective lieutenant named Duane Lee Proctor alleged U.S. President Donald Trump applied fake blood from a “blood capsule” during the assassination attempt that famously bloodied his ear at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

It’s hardly surprising the shooting has stirred such conspiracy theories though given the sheer level of media manipulation Trump is capable of and, perhaps also importantly, the willingness for big media to comply with the narrative offered.
