US Marines Protecting American Embassy Exchange Gunfire with Suspected Gang Members in Haiti

According to reports, U.S. Marines tasked with protecting the American embassy in Haiti came under gunfire in the capital of Port-au-Prince last week by suspected gang members, firing back at the perpetrators.

On Sunday, in an emailed statement to Fox News Digital, Capt. Steven J. Keenan confirmed the incident and noted, “U.S. Marines are committed to the safety and security of U.S. embassies worldwide and respond to all threats with professionalism and swift, disciplined action.”

Per Fox News:

No service members were injured in the incident, which was first reported over the weekend by The Washington Post.

Neither the State Department nor the U.S. Embassy in Haiti immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The Caribbean nation has been plagued by gang violence, with armed groups reportedly controlling up to 90% of Port-au-Prince, according to the United Nations. The groups block access roads, attack infrastructure, and terrorize civilians through kidnappings, rapes and killings.

The gangs exert control through extortion and use heavy weaponry in their violent efforts.

While the United States continues to operate an embassy in Haiti, the State Department has issued numerous travel warnings because of the risk of kidnappings, crimes, terrorist activity, and civil unrest.

FBI Arrests Active Duty U.S. Marine For Allegedly Kidnapping 12-Year-Old Girl He Met on TikTok

The FBI has reported that an active-duty U.S. Marine has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old girl from Indiana.

According to the FBI’s press release, William Roy, 24, who was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, flew to Chicago to meet up with a 12-year-old girl at a park.

Later, Roy allegedly took the young girl to a hotel where they stayed overnight.

He faces charges of enticing and transporting a minor to travel for illicit sexual activity and interstate travel with the intent to engage in sexual activity with a minor.

Per FBI Indianapolis:

An active-duty U.S. Marine has been arrested after allegedly traveling from North Carolina to Indiana to meet, kidnap, and sexually assault a 12-year-old Hammond girl. William Richard Roy, 24, of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was taken into custody by the FBI in Durham, North Carolina, on October 26, 2025.

The investigation began on October 25, 2025, when the FBI Indianapolis Field Office’s Merrillville Resident Agency received information from the Hammond Police Department regarding a missing 12-year-old girl believed to be traveling with Roy. The child’s grandmother had reported her missing earlier that day.

Through the coordinated efforts of the FBI, Hammond Police Department, and U.S. Marshals Service, it was determined Roy allegedly flew to Chicago on October 24, 2025. The following day, he took an Uber to Hammond, where he met the child at a park. The two then traveled by Uber back to Chicago, stayed overnight at a hotel, and later boarded a Greyhound bus bound for Durham, North Carolina.

When the bus arrived in Durham on October 26, agents from the FBI Charlotte Field Office’s Greensboro and Raleigh Resident Agencies took Roy into custody and safely recovered the child.

The arrest of Roy marks the second arrest of a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune in recent months.

Term limited California Governor Gavin Newsom is running for the Democrat Party nomination for President in 2028. He’s not certain against whom he’ll be running, so he’s running against America. He’s been governing against California for years, so why not extend that kind of governance to the whole country?

California Governor Gavin Newsom attacked the U.S. Marines and National Guard on Saturday as “bringing war to the American people” in trashing their recent mission to restore order to the streets of Los Angeles.

His purpose: to attack President Donald Trump, who is campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize by trying to resolve conflicts around the world.

In his first seven months in office, Trump has ended at least six wars and for the first time it appears possible he’ll end the war between Ukraine and Russia, a conflict that has cost Russia untold billions and a million of its young men wounded, captured or killed. That’s quite the campaign. Even should that effort fail, it’s impossible to identify a more deserving recipient of the Peace Prize in this or the last century.

U.S. Marine Corps Releases UAP Information Sharing Policy to The Black Vault

The U.S. Navy / U.S. Marine Corps has released its policy and procedure for sharing UAP-related information with the Department of Defense’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). This release follows a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by The Black Vault on April 14, 2024, and is similar to a different directive previously released to Mr. Douglas Dean Johnson in March 2024 by the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The FOIA request sought “a copy of records (which includes videos/photos), electronic or otherwise, of all records that pertain to your agency’s policy and procedure on sharing information with the DoD’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).” This included all policy, procedure, memorandum of understanding, memorandum of agreement, letters, other memos, etc., outlining the Navy’s policy on sharing information at any classification level with the AARO. The request also asked for any procedures adopted from prior efforts such as the UAP Task Force and the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG).

Retired 2-Star General Found Dead at California Base

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is investigating the death of a retired 2-star general whose body was discovered at the Twentynine Palms Marine base in California.

San Bernardino County coroner’s records revealed Major General William Mullen, 59, was found dead at the Twentynine Palms military base on Saturday.

Mara Rodriguez, who serves as the San Bernardino County sheriff’s spokesperson, shared the NCIS is investigating Mullen’s death at the base.

The Marine Corps Times reported Mullen’s body was discovered in Building 1651, which is part of the Marine Corps Communication–Electronics School.

Mullens was at the base to attend the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group change of command event.

2 foreign nationals in ICE custody after alleged attempted breach at major Marine base

Two foreign nationals are in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody after an alleged attempt to breach a Marine Corps base this month, officials confirmed Thursday.

The incident happened May 3 at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia. A spokesperson for the base said two people in a box truck were stopped at a gate. 

The driver allegedly told military police officers they were making a delivery to the post office and worked for a company subcontracted by Amazon.

Because they had no affiliation to the base and no approved credentials, they were directed to a holding area for vetting.

“It was at that time, one of the military police officers noticed the driver, ignoring the direct instructions of the officers, continued to move the vehicle past the holding area and attempted to access Marine Corps Base Quantico,” spokesperson Capt. Michael Curtis said in a statement.

Black New Jersey Marine arrested after threatening to target white people in mass shooting

A New Jersey Marine has been arrested after he allegedly threatened on social media to kill white people and had reportedly been planning a mass shooting. 

23-year-old Joshua Cobb, of Trenton, was arrested on May 10 by the FBI and charged with transmitting a threat in interstate and foreign commerce, according to the US Attorney’s Office, District of New Jersey. 

Cobb allegedly threatened on social media to “cause mayhem on the white community” and expressed hopes of becoming a serial killer. His phone also contained notes describing how to bring weapons into New Jersey. 

In a December 17, 2022, post, Cobb wrote, “I want to cause mayhem on the white community. The reason i specifically want to target white people is because as a black male, they will NEVER understand my struggles. Same way I will never understand their struggles, but I don’t care to. I want to erase them. All of them really, but in this case as many as I possibly can.” 

“As of today I have officially began planning my attack,” the post continued. “It is going to take place in 2023 in the state of New Jersey, I have not chosen a exact date but I am going to be sure it is close to an important holiday to their race. I have a location in mind already which I have frequented for the past year and I am certain nobody there is armed to be able to stop me from spraying them to the ground. I have already acquired 2 of the 4 firearms I plan to use for my attack, and I also know my entry and exit points already after the mayhem.” 

Cobb made additional posts in April and May of 2023, writing in one, “Imagine the rush you’d feel while shooting some sh*t up. Probably could get literally high off the adrenaline alone. I’d probably OD on my own adrenaline after the 10th body goes down.” 

“Tbh I hope I do progress into a serial killer because I f*cking hate life man… But one day everyone will suffer. I promise I will make everyone feel my f*ucking pain. My deep, sincere, raw, & sharp pain,” another post stated. 

Cobb also wrote that “the only way out is bloodshed,” adding that he was “leaving evidence for whoever investigates my case.”

US mulls deploying Marine security team to Haiti amid gang crisis

The United States is considering deploying an elite Marine security team to Haiti because of a deteriorating security situation there, according to a defense official.

The Marines would be deployed at the request of the State Department, according to the defense official. Marine Corps Times asked the State Department for further details Thursday and didn’t receive a response.

“Deploying a FAST platoon is one option at the DoD’s disposal should the DoS request assistance with security at the U.S. Embassy in Port Au Prince,” Maj. Mason Englehart, a spokesman for Marine Corps Forces South, wrote in an email to Marine Corps Times on Friday.

Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry is struggling to stay in power as he tries to return home, where gang attacks have shuttered his country’s main international airport and freed more than 4,000 inmates in recent days.

Henry remained in Puerto Rico as of midday Wednesday. He landed in the U.S. territory on Tuesday after he was barred from landing in the neighboring Dominican Republic, where officials closed the airspace to flights to and from Haiti.

Marines on the move in Middle East ‘as a result of emerging events’

A special operations Marine Corps unit participating in exercises expected to last through Oct. 22, departed early this week “as a result of emerging events,” according to reports.

On Tuesday, the Marines issued a press release saying marines and sailors of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit would be participating in Marine Air-Ground task force training exercises in Kuwait, Oct. 8-22.

The training started with the USS Bataan, an amphibious ready group and USS Carter Hall, which would arrive near Kuwait and offload elements and equipment for the exercises.

The day before the exercises began, Oct. 7, Hamas-led militants conducted a deadly surprise attack on Israel, killing at least 22 U.S. citizens, leaving at least 17 still unaccounted for, and some being held hostage in Gaza.

Marine Corps Times reported Wednesday that the sailors and Marines who are part of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit in Kuwait and traveling on the Bataan and Carter Hall, “are no longer in vicinity of Kuwait.”

The publication learned the news from Capt. Angelica White, spokesperson for the unit, on Wednesday.

Teen missing for 18 days found in barracks at Camp Pendleton; Human Trafficking Task Force Investigating

A 14-year-old girl who ran away from her grandmother’s Spring Valley area home on June 9 was found last week inside the barracks at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department (SDSO) confirmed. The teen’s disappearance was reported to the Sheriff’s Department four days later by her grandmother.

“The grandmother reported to deputies that the teen had previously run away before, but always returned home quickly,” Melissa Aquino, SDSO’s media relations officer noted.

The girl, who has learning disabilities, was found in the barracks June 28 by military police, according to her aunt Casaundra Perez. Perez claims her niece was sold to a Marine for sex.

SDSO spokesperson Lt. David LaDieu told NBC 7 that the only involvement their department had was recovering the juvenile because she was listed as missing from their jurisdiction. However, Aquino confirmed SDSO was supporting the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) with their investigation, along with the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force.

A photo shared publicly on social media on July 2 showed a handcuffed Marine being escorted by military police on base on June 28. Captain Chuck Palmer of Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Logistics Group confirmed a Marine was taken into custody and questioned by NCIS about his involvement with the girl that day.
