‘No Kings’ Protests Prove Dems Only Hate ‘Tyranny’ When Not in White House

This past weekend, some 2,000 “No Kings” protests visited American cities in opposition to President Trump’s deportation efforts after violent riots engulfed Los Angeles the week prior.

In addition to signs reading, “Due process is for everyone,” and “Immigrants make America great,” there have been numerous violent encounters between rioters and law enforcement, bystander battery and harassment, and even a shooting in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Meanwhile, Democrat politicians posted an almost verbatim script on social media, espousing America’s greatness in defiance of tyrants. California Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis remarked to MSNBC: “People are very determined to get out there and be seen. This is the United States. We do not want a king.” New York Sen. Chuck Schumer posted, “Millions of Americans are standing up today to say loud and clear: No kings in America.” Sen. Patty Murray of Washington wrote, “There are no kings in America. We need to remind ourselves that our voices are important. … That’s how we change the direction of this country. That’s what democracy is.” Illinois governor and Hyatt hotel billionaire JB Pritzker exclaimed: “Let me remind you: we don’t have kings in America—and I won’t bend the knee to one. … This is what democracy in action looks like.”

While it is a breath of fresh air to see Democrats adopting a new love for liberty, do these “No Kings” protests actually reflect a grassroots effort against “tyranny,” or are they something else entirely?

Portland IED bomber suspect revealed to be far-left ‘No Kings Day’ recruiter

A Portland Antifa activist and “No Kings Day” recruiter has been arrested on felony charges in Portland after allegedly carrying out an attempted bombing attack on the freeway.

Alexander Robert Wick, 38, of Portland, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on felony charges including first-degree attempted arson, unlawful manufacture of a destructive device, possession of a destructive device, and first-degree criminal mischief. He also faces two additional misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct, according to jail records.

On June 14, Wick allegedly began throwing traffic cones and boards with protruding nails into the lanes of traffic on Interstate 5 at the Northeast Failing Street pedestrian bridge around 7 p.m. The attack happened after the “No Kings” event, a nationwide anti-Trump protest organized by Democrats, largely concluded. When drivers came to a stop, Wick allegedly slashed the tires of their vehicles and threatened them with a screwdriver, claiming that he had a bomb, according to a police press release.

REVEALED: Governor Newsom Attended Luxury Wine Tasting in Napa Valley While Anti-ICE Rioters Burned Cars, Assaulted Law Enforcement

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) attended a luxury wine tasting in Napa Valley amid the violent Los Angeles riots.

Newsom was literally sipping wine as LA burned.

According to the City Journal, Newsom attended the “Vineyard Vibes” event at the Odette Estate Winery which he co-founded on June 7.

The City Journal reported:

As riots engulfed Los Angeles and mobs vandalized public buildings, incinerated vehicles, and assaulted law enforcement officers, California governor Gavin Newsom was enjoying a swanky wine-tasting party in Napa Valley.

The wine-tasting was held on the afternoon of June 7, 2025, at the Odette Estate Winery, which Newsom co-founded in 2011. Dubbed “Vineyard Vibes,” the event was a fundraiser for the PlumpJack Foundation, founded by Newsom’s sister, and featured “contemporary yet sophisticated” wines, live jazz music, and locally made pizza and smash burgers. “It’s the perfect kick-off to summer fun,” read promotional language. “The fete will take place on the Winery Crushpad, where we’ll gather for music, food, conversation, and delicious wine!”

A source who photographed Newsom at the event expressed shock that the governor was in attendance, given that riots had broken out in Los Angeles the day before. “I couldn’t believe it,” the source said. “He was just walking around like this was an everyday occurrence.” Newsom was at the wine party for at least 90 minutes, according to the source, who said that when the governor finally left, he appeared to retreat to the inner rooms of his winery.

Typical Gavin Newsom.

LA mayor once joined pro-Cuba communist group, now it’s part of CCP-linked network behind protests

The far-left “brigade” of pro-Communist Cuba activists which Karen Bass was a key member of years ago is currently embedded in the Chinese Communist Party-linked financial network that is behind the Los Angeles protests — some of which have turned violent — in the city where she is now mayor.

Decades ago, Bass was a member of — and was repeatedly identified as a leader in — the Venceremos Brigade (VB), a far-left activist group sympathetic to the Communist revolution in Cuba and which U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies as well as Cuban defectors have identified as being co-opted by Cuban intelligence services. The VB was also linked to violent groups such as the Weather Underground.

Nowadays, the VB is fiscally sponsored by a Manhattan-based Communist organization known as The People’s Forum, which is part of wealthy Marxist businessman Neville Singham’s broad financial network. The VB is also tied to other Singham-linked endeavors such as the far-left BreakThrough News as well as the radical revolutionary Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL).

The Marxist PSL has also been a key organizer of the protests in Los Angeles and elsewhere, which have sought to oppose the efforts by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) to crack down on illegal immigration.

The VB’s website says that it “is an entirely volunteer-run grassroots organization and we need the support of our friends, comrades, and supporters to continue this critical anti-imperialist work” and that “the People’s Forum (‘TPF’), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is the Venceremos Brigade’s fiscal sponsor.”

The brigade’s website touts that “in the last 50 years, approximately 10,000 people from the US have traveled to Cuba with the VB, including elected officials, labor leaders, artists and entertainers, academics, activists, and social movement leaders.” In the 1970s, Bass — the activist turned congresswoman turned mayor — was one of them.

David Atlee Phillips, the chief of the Latin America Division of the CIA until 1975, penned an article in 1982 where he assessed that Communist Cuba’s Intelligence Directorate — Dirección General de Inteligencia or DGI — had a strong level of control over the VB.

“No Kings,” Except for the Bureaucrats

Over the weekend, thousands of anti-Trump advocates gathered for “No Kings” protests across the country, but their aims were not directed at constitutional norms; instead, they are engaged in a protest against the President’s authority over the Executive Branch.

The chief issue in Washington since the second Trump inauguration is whether the commander-in-chief is empowered to control the Executive Branch, which houses nearly all federal agencies.

The Vesting Clause answers that question with absolute certainty: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

In response to the Trump administration’s efforts to abolish the government’s vast censorship apparatus, however, Democrats and judicial activists offer an anti-constitutional alternative for the country: The power to fire taxpayer-funded bureaucrats or reduce their funding shall be vested in no person.

In April, Secretary of State Rubio announced the closure and defunding of the State Department’s Counter Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (R/FIMI), formerly known as the Global Engagement Center (GEC).

Under Rubio’s predecessor, Antony Blinken, the GEC was instrumental in silencing dissent, as it worked to “limit the reach of, the circulation of, and render unprofitable, disfavored press outlets by funding the infrastructure, development, and marketing and promotion of censorship technology and private censorship enterprises to covertly suppress speech of a segment of the American press,” according to one lawsuit

But this week, California District Judge Susan Illston upended the President’s control of the executive branch and ordered Secretary Rubio to halt the abolishment of R/FIMI. According to Judge Illston, not only is the Ministry of Truth permitted to censor Americans for alleged “disinformation,” such as the Hunter Biden laptop, the lab-leak theory, or natural immunity; but the Constitution actually prohibits the president from exercising control over the State Department.

Unsurprisingly, the “No Kings” crowd offered no pushback to the judge’s defense of a censorious cabal’s entitlement to taxpayer funding.

Portland residents beg Antifa not to destroy property during anti-ICE riots

Ongoing protests led by anti-ICE activists in Portland have escalated in recent weeks, leaving many local residents dealing with the consequences of repeated confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement.

The latest wave of unrest began on June 8, when activists blocked the driveway of a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility. Since then, clashes have continued across the city, and 22 people have been arrested this month in connection with anti-ICE demonstrations on various criminal allegations.

Gray’s Landing, a low-income apartment complex housing elderly residents, veterans, and families, is located near the ICE building and has taken steps to shield itself from being caught in the conflict. Signs reading “Please do not vandalize,” “We are a nonprofit. We are not associated with the ICE building,” and “We believe everyone deserves a place to call home” have been posted on ground-floor windows, according to Oregon Live. Residents have endured noise from bullhorns, honking cars, and flash-bang grenades, along with graffiti, vandalism, transit delays, and chemical irritants used by federal agents to disperse crowds.

The ICE building at the center of the protests sits between South Macadam Avenue and a K-8 charter school, Cottonwood School of Civics and Science. Nearby is also the Oregon Ballet Theater headquarters and its rehearsal space.

Last Saturday, protests intensified during the “No Kings” Day event, which authorities declared a riot. The escalation raised concerns among residents that additional National Guard or federal forces could be deployed to the area. Many residents expressed sympathy for the demonstrators’ cause but admitted to feeling uneasy about the ongoing turmoil in their neighborhood.

Jackie Keogh, who works for the nonprofit that runs Gray’s Landing, said the residents are growing increasingly anxious.

“The impending dread is based on the history of protest impacting their homes and their overall feeling of safety,” Keogh said. “Our goal is to make sure both staff and residents feel safe in our building.”

The nonprofit has had to stockpile plywood in case windows are broken, install smoke protection systems, and update security codes. One 62-year-old resident said she is “afraid to come out of the building,” adding, “I can’t even turn on my air conditioning because of the tear gas.”

Watch Rachel Maddow LIE to Her Audience About the Florida Sheriff Who Warned Would-Be Rioters Ahead of ‘No Kings’ Protests

Ahead of the ‘No Kings’ protests by the left last weekend, a sheriff in Brevard County in Florida issued a stern warning to potential rioters that if they threw explosives at a law enforcement officer or pointed a gun at one of them, that they would be killed.

It was a harsh, but very fair and direct warning, and it worked. There were no riots in Florida during the protests.

On MSNBC, Rachel Maddow flat-out LIED to her audience this week, while talking about the sheriff. She said that he would kill people for protesting and then acted like she and the left were rubbing it in his face by protesting anyway.

It was a complete misrepresentation of the sheriff’s warning and Rachel knows this.

Transcript via NewsBusters:

RACHEL MADDOW: You might have seen headlines last week about the Brevard County, Florida, sheriff last week who called a press conference to threaten that he would sic dogs on people and his officers would not just put people in jail, they would put people in the hospital.

He literally got up at a press conference and said, “We will kill you”, talking about violence he expected at any anti-Trump protests in Brevard county, Florida. After that bizarre show of intimidation from that sheriff in Brevard County, Florida, turns out people in Brevard County, Florida were not at all intimidated by what he said.

As you can see from local headlines like this one, quote: “‘ No Kings’ anti-Trump protests draw thousands”, in Brevard County and Cocoa and Palm Bay. I mean, the sheriff gets out there and says, we will kill you and Brevard County, Florida is like, “You know what? We’ve got a right to protest. We have a right to make protest signs of any kind, including ones that show Donald Trump in a big wig made up like Marie Antoinette, saying, let them eat cake and you are not going to stop us from doing it. We are Americans, we have the right to do this, we will protest.”

Federal Government Funding “Very Professional” Anti-ICE Protests – Investigative Journalist

American taxpayers are being forced to fund violent anti-ICE protests across the U.S., according to investigative journalist David Khait.

“That is YOUR money, that is the federal government giving grants to union leaders in order to do exactly what you are seeing: to organize protests,” Khait told Border Hawk during an interview at the White House.

Funding for the astroturf insurrection is also likely pouring in from “oligarchs” like the Soros family and Neville Roy Singham, a China-based billionaire with close ties to the CCP who is currently being investigated by Republicans in Congress.

“As long as the money keeps flowing in to the organizers, this is just going to continue to grow and grow,” Khait warned.

Leftist Protesters Attempting “Global March To Gaza” Get Beaten And Arrested In Egypt

There is perhaps no group more tiresome and naive than western progressives; constantly seeking to socially engineer not just their own nations, but nations on the other side of the world.  If they can’t do it through the monetary manipulation of subversive bureaucratic institutions like USAID, then they will try to do it directly with protests, marches and mobs.  The problem is, no one likes them and no one wants them around.  The tolerance they enjoy in Europe and the US does not exist in other countries and they don’t seem to get it.

Just as leftists ignorantly demand multiculturalism without understanding the inevitable and violent consequences of inviting the third world into the west, they also tend to invite themselves overseas into the backyards of civilizations that despise everything the political left supposedly stands for.

Thousands of activists, primarily from western countries, have descended on Egypt this week for a “Global March to Gaza,” a movement aiming to break the Israeli blockade that they argue has pushed the region to the brink of famine.  Some 4,000 volunteers from over 80 countries joined the protest, according to organizers.  This number is unconfirmed and footage of arriving protesters shows much smaller groups.

They planned to land in Cairo, take buses to the city of Arish in northern Sinai, and then march around 30 miles through the desert peninsula to the Egyptian side of the Gaza border at Rafah. Organizers said the activists would sleep in tents along the route and expected to arrive at the border on Friday.

The idea was clearly ill conceived from the beginning, with protesters believing they have the ability to march 30 miles across the Egyptian desert towards a war zone without interference, but the group never actually made it beyond Cairo.  Egyptian authorities detained at least 200 pro-Palestinian activists in Cairo on Thursday (with more reportedly being held).  Among the detainees were people from Australia, France, Morocco, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States.

Footage shows activists being beaten by an angry mob of Egyptians (possibly security forces) after they attempted a sit down protest and locked arms.

Old White Boomers By Day, Antifa By Night: ‘No Kings’ Color Revolution

Strikes between Israel and Iran have escalated significantly in both scale and lethality, with Tehran deploying hypersonic missiles in direct attacks against Israeli cities. In response, the Israeli Defense Forces have executed a coordinated air campaign targeting key pillars of the Iranian regime’s operational capacity—most notably the IRGC’s crude oil export infrastructure, high-value military assets, and critical command-and-control facilities (strike roadmap laid out last fall). The scope and precision of these strikes suggest a deliberate strategy to degrade the regime’s ability to function both economically and militarily, potentially placing the IRGC on a quick crash course toward systemic failure.

Simultaneously, within the U.S., a separate destabilization force unfolded this weekend.

Our preliminary assessment of the command and control structures supporting the ‘No Kings’ color revolution operation by the Democratic Party has been propped up through dark money networks that continue to finance radical left-wing NGOs engaged in what appears to be a sustained, low-grade color revolution during the day and riots at night. These NGOs, operating with logistical sophistication, have aimed to undermine societal cohesion and erode public trust in the Trump administration.

On Saturday, a coordinated series of demonstrations unfolded across major metropolitan areas, including New York, Denver, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles. The protests—supported by a network of nearly 200 entities, many of which include ideologically aligned and far-left NGOs—appear to follow a highly structured mobilization effort reminiscent of prior failed “Tesla Takedown” operations observed earlier this year.
