When mob rule dictates that we must all cheer a male homecoming queen, it’s clear that society is close to collapse

The unchallenged compliance afforded by many in endorsing previously unthinkable scenarios – like teenage boys being crowned homecoming queens – should set the alarm bells ringing as to where our civilization is headed.

Zachary Willmore of Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri hit the headlines last week by becoming the first male student to be crowed homecoming queen during a homecoming game.

In a video shared widely on Twitter, the crowd appears to cheer wildly as the young gentleman receives his tiara while dressed in a “beautiful gold gown and homecoming sash” on the busy football field.

While it’s possible the volume of the cheering is from genuine exultation, we might assume that a healthy percentage is borne from a ‘fearful compliance’. While it is all very well that a man should put on a dress and reverse the notion of a ‘homecoming queen’ (as a badge of progressivism) one might still ask, in the most hidden corners of the consciousness, to what end?

While this is not written in any way as an attack on Mr. Willmore, there is a greater cultural phenomenon at work of which he is undoubtedly taking advantage. You can make the case that it is nothing more than a superficial act of kindness to give a young man this bizarre accolade, without any wider ramifications, but we all know that isn’t true.

Nothing exists in a vacuum. Is it fair to the female homecoming queen hopefuls? Is it fair to the football team whose game is now overshadowed by social justice politics? Is it fair to the crowd, who find themselves in a public situation of forced moral conformity (obedience)? There are still many people who don’t see gender norms as a disposable nuisance, who realise their essentiality.

These purposeless showboating acts often get shoehorned unexpectedly into public events of which they play no real part. They are manufactured detraction from an actual occasion (in Willmore’s case, a football game) – a chance for the needy to garner attention.

I am recalled once more of the wedding I attended where the bride’s lesbian sister – a bridesmaid – spent the greater part of her speech not talking about the bride, but about her own struggles to be accepted as gay, culminating in crying about herself.

Despite the narcissism, the LGBTQ+ context forces a ‘standing ovation’ of applause, as the crowd senses the Pavlovian trigger-sentiment for ‘disadvantaged heroism’. Everyone nervously clapping as long and hard as they can, eyes darting from the corner of faces – frozen in false smiles – trying to detect any lack of enthusiasm from anyone else. Inwardly thinking: Am I going mad?

Investigation underway after Kentucky high school hosts drag pageant featuring male teens in lingerie giving lap dances to staff

An investigation is underway after photos surfaced on social media depicting a homecoming event at a Kentucky high school where male students partook in a “man pageant.”

The male students seen in photos taken at Hazard High School’s homecoming week festivities on Tuesday wore scant clothing, including women’s lingerie, and gave staff members lap dances in the gymnasium, according to The Courier Journal.

Students and staff reportedly took part in a “Man Pageant” and “Costume Day” on Tuesday, according to Hazard High School’s Facebook page.

The photos also showed the students giving a lap dance to Hazard High School Principal Donald “Happy” Mobelini. Mobelini is also mayor of the city.

Other photos removed from the athletics page, where the photos were first posted, showed female students dressed as Hooters waitresses and students and staff reportedly appearing to paddle each other.

Superintendent of Hazard Independent Schools Sonda Combs told The Courier Journal that the district “has a tradition of excellence and academics and everything we do, but the incident is being investigated and once the investigation is complete, appropriate action will be taken.”

She declined to comment on whether the “Man Pageant” was an annual event, or give details on the investigation.

Florida school board member chaperoned a group of elementary school children on a field trip to a gay bar, according to photos of the trip she posted to social media.

“I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s! The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to Rosie’s Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!” Broward County School Board member Sarah Leonardi posted on her official school board Facebook page Wednesday.

The post, which was examined by Fox News Thursday morning, shows photos of children in a popular Florida gay bar, Rosie’s Bar and Grill, including a photo of the group posing next to the restaurant’s sign.

Orwell’s 1984 As Manual For The Woke

On learning that Twitter sanctioned Rep. Jim Banks for daring to refer to Assistant Secretary of Health R. Levine as a man (and that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also referred, but without sanction, to Dr. Levine as a man) I turned, for insight on this peculiar assault on the concept of objective reality, to a classic novel on the nature of totalitarianism:  1984, by George Orwell.  Here are, I believe, relevant passages from the novel, from a torture scene, with torture applied to Winston Smith by O’Brien.

O’Brien to Winston Smith, undergoing torture:

“Who controls the present, controls the past…” Signet Classic (paper), p.248

This is what Critical Race Theory is all about.

O’Brien to Winston Smith, undergoing torture, on the nature of reality:

“Only the disciplined mind can see reality, Winston. You believe that reality is something objective, external, existing in its own right. You also believe that the nature of reality is self-evident. When you delude yourself into thinking that you see  something, you assume that everyone else sees the same thing as you. But I tell you, Winston, that reality is not external.  Reality exists in the human mind,  and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes; only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal. Whatever the Party holds to be truth is truth. It is impossible to see reality except by looking through the eyes of the Party.”  Ibid, at p. 249

The Party says R. Levine is a woman; therefore, he is a woman.

The ACLU is now siding with the censors

Asserting their First Amendment rights against compelled speech, elementary-school teachers in Loudoun County, Virginia, are challenging a school-board rule requiring them to address transgender and ‘gender expansive’ students by their preferred pronouns. The teachers claim that the pronouns convey messages about transgenderism that violate their religious beliefs as well as their understanding of biology. As a compromise, in an effort to balance their speech rights with students’ interests in being recognised, the teachers have offered to address the students only by their names, eschewing the use of any offending pronouns. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has sided against them.

Confirming its transformation from a free-speech organisation into a progressive advocacy group, it has submitted a brief in Cross v Loudoun County, advocating restrictions on fundamental First Amendment freedoms. According to the ACLU, public-school teachers should be required to affirm controversial, state-imposed orthodoxies about sex and gender in violation of their conscience, in order to protect students from discrimination.

Sad to say, the ACLU’s brief against the First Amendment is neither a shock nor a surprise – it was predictable. Its retreat from defending speech that conflicts with progressive values and ideas dates back at least 15 years. Still, there is a difference between avoiding litigation that requires defending the right to use whatever progressives consider harmful speech and engaging in litigation to suppress it or to compel speech aimed at mitigating its alleged harms. The ACLU has crossed a line, effectively advancing arguments about the direct, indisputable dangers of offensive language and ideas that have long been used to justify bans on ‘hate speech’.

Content Warning: What They’re Showing Schoolchildren Is So Disgusting the Law Requires It to Be Blurred on Television

When we were kids, our parents had to watch out to make sure we weren’t exposed to filth on television. Now, apparently, television has to ensure our parents aren’t exposed to the filth their kids are seeing in school.

That’s at least the situation in Virginia — ground zero for educational unpleasantness at the moment, where progressive educators are aghast that parents apparently think they have some say in what their kids are exposed to at school, no matter how objectionable or dissipated it might be.

The educators have an ally in Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate this year and a former governor of the Old Dominion. During his time as governor, McAuliffe vetoed a bill that would have allowed parents to remove sexually explicit books from Virginia schools.

During the final gubernatorial debate last month with Republican Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe vigorously defended his policies on education.

“I’m not gonna let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions,” McAuliffe told Youngkin. “I stopped the bill that I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

If You Can’t Tell A Man From A Woman, You’re Not A Health Official, You’re A Health Threat

The left became impossible to parody somewhere in between “believe all women” and peak trans. The guys at The Babylon Bee are going to have to quit soon, if not because they cannot get any more bizarre than the left then because it seems like the left is using their headlines as an instruction manual.

Here is what I am reacting to, and it is not made up. It is real.

Not only did Joe Biden appoint a man who claims he’s a woman, and whose poor public health decisions led to thousands of unnecessary COVID deaths, as assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Biden has now made that man a four-star admiral and proclaimed we should all cheer at his administration appointing the “first” “female” “four-star officer.” I repeat, this is not a joke.

This official, Rachel Levine, has zero military experience. He’s as much a soldier as I am (although I am 100 percent more female than he is).

Here is the U.S. “surgeon general” saying “her [sic] service will undoubtedly advance the
@usphscc [U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps] mission to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of our nation.”

Levine was also awarded the “Public Health Service COVID-19 Pandemic Campaign Medal.” Yes, a man whose pandemic “leadership” included: pulling his mother from a nursing home while forcing elderly people into those homes we now know were COVID death traps; getting promoted out of running a state “health” department that still “can’t find” crucial COVID-19 data; presiding over one of the slowest vaccine rollouts in the country; and openly advocating for the dismemberment and mutilation of children in the name of “health” —  this man has been awarded a “public service COVID-19 pandemic campaign medal.”

In his new position, Levine “will join 6,000 other corps members offering COVID-19 shots and other health-focused initiatives on behalf of the federal government.” How can anyone take seriously any health recommendations from people who are willing to so deeply subordinate reality to political lies that are as obvious as the shape of my jaw?

Mom Says Superintendent Defended Gay Porn Book In School Library After Complaint

After one mother said she reported North Kingstown High School in North Kingstown, Rhode Island to the police for advertising gay pornography book “Gender Queer: A Memoir” in a school library display case, another Rhode Island mom says Superintendent Phil Auger has come out in defense of the book’s presence. Auger did not respond to The Federalist’s request for comment.

Erika Sanzi reported on her Substack blog that another concerned parent had emailed Auger about the “inappropriate” book, which features multiple graphic scenes of gay men having sex, discussion of sexual fantasies, and even an instance where a girl is encouraged by her sibling to “taste” herself. Sanzi posted a screenshot of an email she says is from Auger, which insists the book is not pornographic and compares the book to the work of Renaissance artist Michelangelo or an anatomy textbook.
