Muslim Communist Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani Says Illegal Aliens Have ‘Kept New York Safe For Decades’

Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has claimed that the policy of protecting illegal aliens from deportation has “kept New York safe for decades.”

In an interview with NBC’s Meet The Press, Mamdani also pledged to “fight back” against ICE should he win election in November.

WELKER: Let’s talk about immigration and deportation. Are you committed to keeping New York as a sanctuary city?

MAMDANI: Absolutely. Because ultimately, we’ve seen that this is a policy that has kept New Yorkers safe for decades. It’s a policy that had previously been defended by Democrats and Republicans alike until the fear-mongering of this current mayor.

It’s a policy that we’ve seen ensures that New Yorkers can get out of the shadows and into the full life of the city that they belong to. And it’s one that I will be proud to stand up for.”

WELKER: Well, you know, the borders are. Tom Homan has said that he is planning to deploy ICE agents to New York worksite enforcement to essentially increase and enhance the number of ICE agents here.

If that happens on your watch, how do you plan to handle it

MAMDANI:  We have to stand up and fight back, and we haven’t seen that from our current mayor, who has instead been working with the Trump administration to assist in their goal of building the single largest deportation force in American history.

I mean, we saw ICE agents arrest a migrant at Federal Plaza. We saw NYPD officers arresting a pastor who was peacefully observing that arrest.

Those days are going to come to an end when I’m the mayor. The NYPD’s job is to create public safety in the city, not to assist ICE agents in their mission to attack the very fabric of this city.

It will address Donald Trump’s bold and necessary attempt to end the unconstitutional practice of granting citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil, regardless of parental allegiance. The fact that the Court has chosen to hear these cases in May — a rare occurrence typically reserved for matters of utmost urgency — underscores just how pivotal this issue is. The stakes couldn’t be higher. At risk is the foundational principle that citizenship is rooted in allegiance, not mere geography. This is a principle that the Constitution clearly supports and that decades of judicial misinterpretation have dangerously eroded.

President Donald Trump’s executive order is at the crux of this case, and marks a critical moment in the battle to restore constitutional integrity. This action, however, has rekindled debate over whether birthright citizenship is truly required by the 14th Amendment. A closer examination of the Constitution, its framers’ intent, and relevant historical precedents reveals that birthright citizenship is neither constitutionally mandated nor consistent with the principles of American law and government.

The Crux of the Issue: Jurisdiction and Allegiance

The primary argument for birthright citizenship hinges on the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, which reads:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

Advocates of birthright citizenship often isolate the phrase “born or naturalized in the United States,” disregarding the critical qualification that follows: “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” This latter phrase is not mere surplusage — it carries substantive legal meaning rooted in allegiance, not mere presence.

Senator Jacob Howard of Michigan, who introduced the Citizenship Clause in 1866, explicitly stated its intent:

This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, [or] who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.

Senator Howard’s remarks make clear that the mere accident of birth within U.S. borders does not automatically confer citizenship if the individual’s allegiance lies with a foreign power. How can a person be both a citizen and an alien simultaneously if mere birth location were the sole determinant of citizenship?

Trump Says Administration Working on ‘Temporary Pass’ for Illegal Immigrant Farm, Hotel Workers

President Donald Trump said on June 29 that his administration was working on a solution where farmers and hospitality business owners could potentially retain some illegal immigrant workers if they’re not involved in crime and pay taxes.

Speaking with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump said he’s trying to reconcile being both the “strongest immigration guy that there’s ever been” and also the “strongest farmers [and hotels] guy.”

“I cherish our farmers,” Trump said, adding that some of the farmworkers being deported have been working in these positions for 15 to 20 years and “are good” but possibly entered the country “incorrectly.”

“What we’re going to do is we’re going to do something for farmers, where we can let the farmer sort of be in charge,” he said.

“The farmer knows he’s not going to hire a murderer. But you know, when you go into a farm and he’s had somebody working with him for nine years, doing this kind of work—which is hard work to do, and a lot of people aren’t going to do it—and you end up destroying a farmer because you took all the people away, it’s a problem.”

Trump said he understands the farmers’ position as well as those wanting a crackdown on illegal immigration.

Ling: Who was that worker?

Daughter: The owner.

Ling: Why was the owner the only one worker?

Daughter: Because of the situation of people getting taken to another country, and I think they’re scared.

Ling: So the entire staff at the restaurant didn’t show up to work. And this is the same restaurant that had the help wanted signs out for a long time, right?

Daughter: Mm-hmm.

Ling: So what do you think? Do you think that the restaurant is going to be able to survive with no workers?

Daughter: No.

Ling: And what do you think about the fact that workers are too scared to go to the places where they’ve been working so they can support their families?

Daughter: I think it’s sad, but I think it’s whatever Trump has to do. It’s not good.

Ling: Sad, though, right?

Daughter: Mm-hmm.

According to Ramirez, the agents said they were searching for her boyfriend, who she claims was recently involved in an accidental collision with a truck carrying federal officers.

Far-left Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) ended up red-faced earlier this week after she tried to defend an illegal alien supposedly mistreated by ICE when the horrifying truth regarding her misdeeds was unveiled.

On Wednesday, the Nashville Banner wrote a sob story about a pregnant illegal alien named Iris Dayana Monterroso-Lemus from Guatemala, who was arrested by ICE in Tennessee in late April and then sent to an ICE facility in Louisiana.

The paper went on to allege Monterroso-Lemus received lackluster prenatal care while in custody and ended up losing her baby.

Look at this biased, so-called ‘reporting’ from the Nashville Banner:

On Mother’s Day this year, Iris Dayana Monterroso-Lemus found herself alone in Guatemala, a country she hadn’t called home in more than a decade. At 38, the once-vibrant, curly-haired woman seemed withered and shaken.

After she was arrested by ICE in Lenoir City, she ended up at the Richwood Correctional Center in Louisiana, where she experienced the unimaginable. After pleading for medical help for days, she lost her mid-term pregnancy.

“I had him inside here for three days, in this Louisiana facility, my baby dead in my stomach, inside my stomach for three days, dead,” she said.

The publication went on to connect this tragic circumstance to President Trump daring to enforce immigration laws.

Monterroso-Lemus’s experience in detention comes amid the Trump administration’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants and the mounting claims of abuse and discrimination tied to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests across the country. In Nashville, ICE and the Tennessee Highway Patrol officials recently made 588 traffic stops in predominantly Latino neighborhoods as part of a joint operation that led to the arrests of 196 undocumented residents.

Despite claims that ICE was only targeting criminals, fewer than half had prior criminal records. As the Banner reported, in the overnight operation between May 3 and 4, THP made more than twice as many traffic stops as Metro Nashville police did during both days combined, fueling allegations of racial profiling.

Jayapal promptly seized on the story and amplified it across social media.

“A pregnant woman lost her baby after ICE refused to give her prenatal care. She begged for help and was denied,” the congresswoman wrote on X. “She was fed food full of cockroaches. She was forced to sleep on the floor. “

“This is absolutely disgusting, and we should all be outraged.”

Trump DOJ Sues Tampon Tim Walz and Minnesota for Providing Free and Discounted Tuition for Illegal Aliens

The Trump Administration is taking the 2024 Democratic vice-presidential nominee, Tim Walz, and his state to court for prioritizing foreign nationals above Americans.

The Department of Justice issued a press release a short time ago announcing that they had filed a complaint seeking to overturn Minnesota laws that provide free and discounted in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

This violates federal law, specifically 8 U.S.C. § 1623(a), which explicitly prohibits states from granting in-state tuition to illegal aliens unless all U.S. citizens—regardless of residency—are given the same benefit.

“Today, the United States is challenging laws in Minnesota that provide reduced in-state tuition — and in some cases, free tuition — for illegal aliens. These laws unconstitutionally discriminate against U.S. citizens, who are not afforded the same privileges, in direct conflict with federal law,” the press release reads.

“The Department of Justice has filed the complaint in the District of Minnesota. This challenge builds upon a recently successful lawsuit against the state of Texas on a similar law.”

Trump Sues All 15 Federal Judges in Maryland Over Their Unlawful Practice of Issuing “Automatic Injunctions” to Stop Deportations of Criminal Aliens

Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sued the entire federal district court bench in Maryland on Tuesday evening over an order blocking deportations of criminal aliens.

The lawsuit was filed after the US District Court for the District of Maryland issued an order that required the clerk to automatically enter an injunction against removing any illegal alien that challenges their deportation and files a habeas petition.

“This lawsuit involves yet another regrettable example of the unlawful use of equitable powers to restrain the Executive. Specifically, Defendants have instituted an avowedly automatic injunction against the federal government, issued outside the context of any particular case or controversy. They did so by promulgating a standing order (“Standing Order”) and amended standing order (“Amended Standing Order”; together, “Orders”) that require the court clerk to automatically enter an injunction against removing, or changing the legal status of, any alien detained in Maryland who files a habeas petition,” the lawsuit against the judges said.

“Defendants’ automatic injunction issues whether or not the alien needs or seeks emergency relief, whether or not the court has jurisdiction over the alien’s claims, and no matter how frivolous the alien’s claims may be,” the lawsuit said.

Florida Invokes Emergency Powers to Build ‘Alligator Alcatraz’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis invoked emergency powers on June 24 to clear the way for Alligator Alcatraz, a new illegal immigration detention center deep in the Everglades.

The plans for another complex to hold illegal immigrants apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—and awaiting processing and deportation—were drafted and submitted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) to the Department of Homeland Security and received Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s approval on June 23.

“Under President [Donald] Trump’s leadership, we are working at turbo speed to deliver cost-effective and innovative ways to deliver on the American people’s mandate for mass deportations of criminal illegal aliens,” Noem said on X.

“We will expand facilities and bed space in just days, thanks to our partnership with Florida.”

She said the facilities would be largely funded by FEMA’s Shelter and Services program, which she noted was used by former President Joe Biden’s administration to house illegal immigrants.

The site chosen was the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.
