De facto amnesty: Nearly 50 House Republicans push bill letting illegal-alien farm workers off the hook

A group of nearly 50 House Republicans is pushing legislation that would grant de facto amnesty to illegal alien farm workers who were unlawfully present in the United States as of May 31, 2026.

A de facto amnesty means people who broke the law are effectively allowed to stay or avoid punishment, even though the government has not officially declared an amnesty.

U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Pa., chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, introduced H.R. 9535, the “Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act of 2026,” on June 30.

There are 53 total cosponsors: 49 Republicans and 4 Democrats, and it is currently sitting in the House Judiciary Committee.

The most controversial section would allow illegal aliens already living in the United States to obtain H-2A agricultural worker status by waiving multiple grounds of inadmissibility and deportability.

Specifically, the bill provides waivers for certain immigration violations committed before an alien receives H-2A status, provided they otherwise qualify.

You Can’t Make This Up: Illegal Alien Convicted for Killing Ruby Garcia, SUES Trump for “Humiliating” Him by Highlighting His Crime in Campaign Ads — Demands $75.5 Million, Counseling, and U.S. Citizenship

A Mexican national illegal alien who brutally murdered a young Michigan woman is suing President Donald Trump from prison because the President told the truth about him.

Brandon Ortiz-Vite, currently serving a 39-to-102-year sentence for the cold-blooded murder of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia, has filed a handwritten federal lawsuit against President Trump and White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Steven Cheung.

The illegal alien claims Trump “humiliated” him and turned his life into a “nightmare” by using his case as an example of Biden’s open-border bloodbath during the 2024 campaign.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported in March 2024, Ortiz-Vite was an illegal alien from Mexico who had already been deported under the Trump administration in 2020 after a drunk driving arrest.

He snuck back into the country and, on March 22, 2024, shot his girlfriend Ruby Garcia multiple times in the head during an argument, dumped her body on the shoulder of U.S. 131 near Grand Rapids, and fled in her car. He later turned himself in at a church and confessed.

The Gateway Pundit documented at the time that Ortiz-Vite had been ordered removed by an immigration judge and physically removed to Mexico on September 29, 2020, only to re-enter illegally and claim another American life under the Biden-Harris regime.

Trump visited Grand Rapids days later and rightly highlighted the case as a prime example of the deadly consequences of open borders. Campaign ads featuring the killer’s mugshot and status as an illegal alien who had already been deported once aired nationally, MLive reported.

Finally! Court Rules Texas Can Bar Illegals From Getting In-State Tuition

As reported many times here at The Gateway Pundit, many schools have offered in-state tuition to illegal aliens in violation of federal law.

Now, according to The College Fix ,”Texas can continue to prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving in-state tuition rates at public universities, a federal court affirmed.”

“The ruling last Thursday by a three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upholds an agreement between Trump administration and Texas, which ended the Lone Star State’s program. Federal law prohibits illegal immigrants from receiving better tuition rates than out-of-state American citizens.”

Surprisingly, illegal aliens, even in Texas, have been getting better rates of tuition than other Americans from out of state.

This law fell apart following a lawsuit. “Texas quickly settled as part of a coordinated effort with the Department of Justice.”

The Trump administration has targeted these laws, which give tuition breaks to illegals in both red and blue states.

It is clearly wrong to give lawbreakers an advantage over law-abiding American citizens.

More Unhinged Behavior Exposed: Husband of Canadian Illegal Alien Who Attacked Teen and Threatened Local Politicians: ‘We Know Where Your Kids Go to School’

The Gateway Pundit reported that 33-year-old Kaitlyn Tracey, a Canadian illegal alien living in Allenhurst, New Jersey, assaulted a teenage girl earlier this month just because she wore patriotic clothing.

Before the assault, Tracey “verbally berated” the teenagers and kept approaching, harassing, and yelling at the teen girl and her friends over their clothing.

Video of the assault, which occurred in early July, was recently released.

Following the incident, Tracey was charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, and obstruction.

According to Fox News, a search of the ICE detainee locator confirms Tracey is in ICE custody at the Delaney Hall facility.

Tracey’s violent behavior is not the end of the story.  Her catapult to front-page news has also exposed disturbing behavior from her American husband, Matthew Geroni.

Initially, her husband took to social media to beg for help for his wife.

“My wife is being detained by ICE. She’s in Ocean County jail right now, and I can’t get ahold of her.”

But by stepping into the spotlight himself, he exposed his own disturbing behavior.

After his post gained traction, prior disturbing social media posts came to light, including one where he prayed that the entire Trump family, including “little kids,” be struck down by cancer.

“In them, he prays for cancer to strike President Trump and his entire family, including ‘little kids and shit,’ prays for another assassination attempt against the president, goes on lengthy rants wishing Trump dead, celebrates Trump’s reported chronic medical diagnosis, and recently claimed Americans would celebrate if Trump were to die during the World Cup.”

Mamdani Shows How Clueless He is When Asked About Border and Immigration Policy but Can Only Attack ICE, Admits He’s Never Been to the Border

Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani humiliated himself in a Saturday interview with the far-left New York Times, showing how clueless he is about immigration and how unoriginal and empty his policy position is. 

During an interview with the New York Times’ Lulu Garcia-Navarro, Mamdani was asked, perhaps for the first time, what he thinks America’s immigration policy should be.

While noting that Darializa Avila Chevalier, one of Mamdani’s endorsed candidates for US Congress in the midterms, “rejects all deportations even of violent criminals” and refers to Borders as a “philosophical concept,” Garcia-Navarro asked for his proposals now that he’s stepping into federal races.

“How do you view, for example, the issue of border security? What border policy should America have? You know, should immigrants be able to claim asylum at the US-Mexico border? Should they be able to enter the country while their claims are being reviewed?” she asked.

But Mamdani gave a word salad answer, pandering to illegal aliens and claiming ICE has “terrorized Americans across this country and others that live in this country.”

“When we talk about immigration, it’s often bandied about as just a political subject for debate,” he said before ironically spewing his radical left-wing political talking points about “legality, consistency, and humanity” and not giving any actual answer.

Clinton Judge Dies Unexpectedly Just Days After Releasing Dangerous Plane Hijacker Who Was Awaiting Deportation

A Clinton-appointed judge has suddenly passed away after freeing a dangerous migrant earlier this week.

As The New York Post reported, a legal source in Miami and a law clerk for Chief Judge Marcia Morales Howard of the Middle District of Florida, confirmed that Senior District Judge John E. Steele passed away at the age of 77.

His cause of death remains unknown at this point.

Back on July 8, Steele, who was appointed to the bench by former President Bill Clinton, infuriated conservatives after issuing a ruling ordering the release of Cuban plane hijacker Maikel Guerra Morales from ICE custody.

The agency took him into custody in December 2025 and intended to deport him to Mexico.

Via The Post, here is exactly what Guerra Morales did:

Guerra Morales took over a Cuban commuter plane in 2003 and forced the crew to land at Key West International Airport.

He spent more than 20 years in prison for aircraft piracy and conspiracy to interfere with a flight crew.

Despite these facts, Steele ordered the Cuban native to be released again under supervision. This means agents must try to monitor him before they can deport him.

Missouri AG Moves to Oust Ray County Prosecutor Over Explosive Allegations of Affairs with Defense Attorney, Defendants — Including Illegal Alien Investigated for Felony Sex Crimes

Just when you think the lawlessness and corruption in our justice system can’t get any worse.

Missouri Attorney General Catherine L. Hanaway has filed a petition for a writ of quo warranto to remove Ray County Prosecutor Camille Johnston from office after explosive revelations of repeated intimate and romantic relationships with criminal defense counsel and defendants including an illegal alien being prosecuted for sexual assault in her own jurisdiction.

According to the petition, Johnston allegedly engaged in undisclosed romantic relationships with individuals whose criminal cases intersected with the Ray County Prosecutor’s Office, including a defense attorney who represented criminal defendants in cases prosecuted by her office.

The Attorney General alleges Johnston failed to recuse herself or seek the appointment of a special prosecutor despite what the filing describes as obvious conflicts of interest.

The petition further alleges Johnston maintained another romantic relationship with an individual charged with domestic violence and retaliated against a staff member who became aware of the relationship. The filing claims Johnston failed to disclose the alleged conflict to victims, court personnel, or her office until a judge ultimately disqualified her from the case.

Among the most serious allegations is the Attorney General’s claim that Johnston had a prior intimate relationship with a man identified in the petition as J.G., who was allegedly under investigation for felony sexual offenses.

The filing alleges Johnston knew of the investigation, failed to recuse herself, withheld information regarding his whereabouts, assisted him after he left Ray County, and later vacationed with him.

Trump Says U.S. Election System Is ‘Broken’ and ‘Vulnerable’ After DHS Review Found Noncitizens on Voter Rolls

President Donald Trump said Thursday that a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) review found roughly 278,000 noncitizens registered to vote in federal elections, arguing the findings expose major weaknesses in the U.S. election system.

Speaking during a primetime speech to address foreign efforts to influence U.S. elections, Trump said the DHS compared state voter registration lists with public records and identified about 278,000 noncitizens on voter rolls. He claimed the figure is incomplete because several Democrat-led states did not provide their voter registration data.

“Since Democrat states refused to share their voter files, the real number is actually much higher than that. Yet, even this limited analysis found more than a quarter of a million foreigners illegally registered to vote,” Trump said.

Trump also claimed foreign governments have access to large amounts of U.S. voter data, warned that voting machines and ballot tabulation systems remain vulnerable to hacking and manipulation, and accused countries such as China of attempting to influence American elections.

“Put together, these disclosures reveal an election system so broken and so vulnerable that no one can possibly defend it. It is not defensible. Hundreds of millions of U.S. voter files are in the hands of foreign governments,” Trump added. “Our machines and ballot counting systems are exposed to hacking, manipulation and corruption. China and other countries have been trying to meddle in our elections.”

Trump said that voter rolls still contain hundreds of thousands of noncitizens and deceased individuals.

“Evidence of fraud has been buried. Hundreds of thousands of noncitizens and dead people are listed and active on the voter rolls,” Trump continued. “And yet, we still have elections with no voter ID, no proof of citizenship, and tens of millions of ballots floating aimlessly through the mail.”

Trump Administration Announces Investigation of 75 Truck Driver Schools Suspected of Helping Non-Citizens Obtain CDLs

The Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) have announced an investigation into at 75 entry-level truck driver Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) schools across the country suspected of fraudulently helping non-citizen drivers qualify.

Safety experts estimate that as many as 130,000 illegal-alien truck drivers may be operating in the United States, with tens of thousands believed to have obtained licenses through illegitimate means.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on the deadly consequences of illegal alien truckers.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin reports, “NEW: DHS and DOT have announced they’ve identified 75 entry level truck driver CDL schools across the US that are suspected of fraudulently helping non-citizen drivers qualify for CDLs, and the agencies are partnering to investigate them, with HSI and DOT already visiting some of the schools to probe them.”

“Some of the schools are suspected of falsifying training records, providing improper certifications, and failing to properly train the drivers.”

Statements via DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin noted, “Too many American lives have been lost in completely avoidable accidents because illegal aliens have been granted commercial driver’s licenses to drive trucks and 18-wheelers on America’s roadways.”

“DHS law enforcement is partnering with the Department of Transportation to eliminate CDL fraud, strengthen the integrity of the CDL system, and investigate commercial driver’s license schools throughout the country. This is a whole of government approach, to keep America’s roads safe.”

Banks Have Been Lending to Illegal Aliens. The Trump Administration Just Stepped In.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, along with two other federal regulators, has officially issued new guidance to banks recommending that they stop issuing loans to illegal aliens, a practice that is legal under current law. Regulators also pushed financial institutions to reconsider providing credit cards and mortgages to illegal aliens.

The Director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett, explained that American banks have been making “lots” of loans to illegal aliens, creating significant financial risk for lenders who may never recover the money they’ve loaned out if that alien is deported. He added that the measure is intended to increase financial stability and suggested it was prompted by a “surprising” finding by federal regulators, presumably regarding the volume of loans being issued to individuals without citizenship or legal immigration status.

“Why would loans even be going to illegal immigrants in the first place?” Hasset was asked on Fox News.

“Right, they shouldn’t have been going there in the first place, and the bottom line is that if a bank is making lots of loans to people that might be deported because they have a criminal record or whatever, then obviously that person is probably not going to pay back the loan,” Hassett replied. “And so we view this as a financial stability measure that makes a great deal of sense. And it’s, I guess, the interesting thing is that the regulators felt they had to issue that guidance, presumably because of something they discovered that was surprising.”
