But but climate crisis!

President Biden on Friday cruised through Rome with an 85-vehicle motorcade — drawing criticism for the poor optics ahead of a global warming summit in Glasgow, Scotland, to which Biden is bringing about a dozen top US officials.
“Biden arriving at the Vatican. His motorcade is lonnnnnng,” tweeted Washington Post reporter Chico Harlan, along with a video of the procession.
“#Decarbonize this,” one person captioned the video.
“America’s Marie Antoinette class is Washington’s elites – and that shows it,” another person responded.
Biden routinely says there’s a “climate crisis” caused by fossil fuels. It’s unclear how many of the motorcade vehicles are electric plug-ins or hybrids, but they appeared to be standard gas-guzzling limos, SUVs and vans.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) was caught maskless at a Washington, D.C. cocktail bar Friday night, just hours before pulling out of Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s door-knocking campaign scheduled for the following morning, in her latest violation of COVID-19 policies.
Video obtained by The Washington Free Beacon shows Whitmer maskless in the standing-room-only section of the crowded bar at the Hotel Washington.
A hotel employee told the news outlet that bar guests must wear face coverings when not actively eating or drinking, neither of which Whitmer was doing. Several people congregating near her, however, were wearing masks.
The governor was also in violation of Washington, D.C.’s local mask mandate, reinstated in July by Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) amid a spike of coronavirus cases caused by the highly infectious delta variant. Restaurants and other establishments that fail to enforce Bowser’s order face potential warnings, fines and the revocation of licenses.
Rep. Susie Lee (D., Nev.) keeps violating her state’s indoor mask mandate. Photographic evidence obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows the congresswoman partying without a mask for the second time in as many months, putting countless lives at risk with her irresponsible behavior.
Lee was spotted dancing at the Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas on Oct. 16. She wasn’t wearing a mask, even though Gov. Steve Sisolak (D., Nev.) imposed a state mandate that requires the use of masks in “indoor public settings,” regardless of vaccination status. Sisolak’s office did not return a request for comment on the reckless violation.
The ritzy gala, sponsored by Moët Hennessy, was thrown in honor of K.T. Lim, a Chinese-Malaysian billionaire. Lim’s company developed Resorts World Las Vegas, which hosted the celebrity-packed affair, where guests dined on “gourmet cuisine from celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck and Bobby Flay,” and could bid on “luxury auction items” such as dinner with Jon Bon Jovi, a chess match with opera singer Andrea Bocelli, and a Lamborghini. Other VIP attendees included Demi Lovato, Jordin Sparks, and A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys.
The Department of Homeland Security will spend nearly a half-million dollars for a Delaware construction company to build a fence around President Joe Biden’s beach house.
The New York Post reported Friday that the department awarded Turnstone Holdings LLC a $456,548 contract to purchase and install security fencing at the president’s Rehoboth home. The Secret Service will be the subagency for the contract.
Construction of Biden’s security fence comes as the president faces a record-high surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border. Border Patrol agents this year detained more than 1.7 million migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border, the highest total ever recorded, according to the Washington Post.
One of Biden’s first actions in office was halting construction of former president Donald Trump’s border wall. Homeland Security this month canceled remaining contracts for building the wall.
Biden, who has not been to the border since he was elected president, said Thursday that “I haven’t had a whole hell of a lot of time to get down.” Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Biden in March appointed border czar, visited the border in June after bipartisan pushback.

Joe Biden will demonstrate his determination to fight climate change by flying more than a dozen Cabinet members across the Atlantic next week — in several passenger jets consuming tons of fossil fuels at high altitudes.
Plus, of course, Biden’s own customized 747 Air Force One with remote-control window shades. Biden will take the four-engine goliath another 2,450 miles to Rome and back for what seems like yet another monthly G-20 meeting. And then, of course, when in Rome, the ardent abortion advocate will flaunt his Roman Catholic faith in an audience with Pope Francis, trying to snuff simmering rumors of his impending excommunication.
All this for the Democrat to show participants in the U.N.’s Climate Change Conference in Glasgow how all-in he is to save the global environment from the terrible things that other wanton humans are doing to cause and worsen global warming for their own ends. As one site called it, “a meaningless meeting of useless people.”
And, as usual, to contrast himself after the four-year presidency of you-know-who, who withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords of 2015 because he said they were a waste of time and crippled the U.S. economy without forcing worse polluters like China and India to do much.
These regular U.N. conferences all over the world are single-handedly responsible not only for bloated expense accounts but also for deforesting countless acres for the paper to print their reports, addendums, appendices, and reports on the reports.

California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, who believes in vaccine mandates so much that he issued the first vaccine mandate in the United States targeting children in public and private schools, has a different view when it comes to the state’s prison guards, whose union donated a whopping $1.75 million to Newsom for September’s recall election. Newsom is appealing the ruling issued by U.S. District Court Judge Jon S. Tigar that stated prison guards must be vaccinated in order to protect incarcerated prisoners.
Tigar wrote in the ruling issued September 27, “… access by workers to CDCR institutions be limited to those workers who establish proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or have established a religious or medical exemption to vaccination and (2) incarcerated persons who desire to work outside of the institution or to have in-person visitation must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or establish a religious or medical exemption.”
“For months, the politically powerful union and the Newsom administration have resisted a COVID vaccine mandate for prison workers, despite the spread of the deadly virus behind prison walls,” Cal Matters reported.
On Tuesday, Newsom and the state appealed the decision to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
SFGATE noted, “Newsom’s hostility towards the mandate for prison guards does not align with his previous statements on COVID mitigation efforts, including vaccine mandates.” Newsom had told CBS News less than 24 hours after the attempt to recall him had failed in September, “We need to stiffen our spines and lean into keeping people safe and healthy. We shouldn’t be timid in trying to protect people’s lives and mitigate the spread and transmission of the disease.”
An “expert” whose work on cybersecurity has been cited by the NY Times and the Washington Post announced on Twitter that the unvaccinated should be denied life-saving hospital treatment because they are “not fit for life on earth.”
Chris Vickery, who describes himself as a “data breach hunter” also brags about how his “findings have contributed to investigations conducted by the FTC, FBI, SEC, Secret Service, HHS, SSCI, and more.”
During an unhinged Twitter rant, Vickery asserted that a time limit of December 1st should be put on people refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Set a date now. After that date, no hospital services for the willingly unvaccinated,” he screeched.
