New York City Mayor Candidate Zohran Kwame Mamdani Loves Crime

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, running for New York City mayor on the Democratic ticket, is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), whose platform calls for slashing arrests, cutting prosecutors’ budgets, abolishing cash bail and pre-trial detention, scrapping electronic monitoring, and ending imprisonment for parole violations.

Although Mamdani has since walked back his earlier comments about defunding the police, his policies would effectively do just that. His plan would shift much of the NYPD’s patrol work to a newly created Department of Community Safety, restrict police authority, downgrade serious crimes, and discourage enforcement of misdemeanors, all consistent with the DSA’s broader push to weaken law enforcement and dismantle public safety.

In August 2020, when asked if prisons were obsolete, Mamdani replied, “I think that frankly, I mean, what purpose do they serve, right? I think we have to ask ourselves that… I think a lot of people who defend the carceral state, that defend the idea of it and the way it makes them feel, they’re not defending the reality of it and the practices that are part and parcel of it.”

Then, at a 2021 protest outside the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, he went even further, declaring, “What violent crime is, is defined by the state. Violence is an artificial construction.”

Mamdani has criticized the Adams administration for increasing the number of inmates on Rikers Island by roughly a thousand, claiming the population could be reduced to fewer than four thousand. Since Rikers averages about seven thousand inmates, that would mean cutting the prison population nearly in half, by around 3,300 people, or 47 percent. Supporters of Mamdani insist that overall crime is down, but those claims rely on deceptive statistics.

For example, in 2023, New York City saw roughly 1,000 felony reports for every 380 arrests. Of those arrests, prosecutors declined to press charges in 42 cases, and 200 more were dismissed. Ultimately, only 123 of the original 1,000 felony complaints led to any conviction, with just 32 resulting in felony convictions, and fewer than 40 offenders serving additional jail or prison time. New York City’s conviction rate is now 39 percent lower than in 2019 and 52 percent lower than in the rest of the state. Prosecutors are declining more cases than ever, and dismissals have skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, total reported crimes, including 188,418 felonies, 299,929 misdemeanors, and 88,761 violations in 2024, show that violence remains a serious problem. Assaults, both felony and misdemeanor, have climbed steadily since 2008 and reached their highest levels since 1998. Subway assaults have tripled since 2009. Despite these facts, Mamdani and his supporters use manipulated crime statistics to claim too many people are imprisoned, when in reality, fewer criminals are being prosecuted, convicted, or incarcerated than ever before.

One of Mamdani’s socialist proposals is to make public transportation free. A trial program was conducted and quickly declared a success by Democrats, though their definition of success was simply that people used the free routes. They ignored the fact that most of the ridership had merely been diverted from nearby fare-paying lines, reducing the city’s overall revenue. Even more importantly, they overlooked a basic truth: nothing is free. The cost of these “free” rides was merely shifted to taxpayers, many of whom drive or walk and therefore received no benefit from the program.

Supporters also claimed the project reduced transit crime, citing a 38.9 percent drop in assaults on bus operators along the free routes. Even if that number is accurate—which is doubtful, given the way Democrat jurisdictions often downgrade crimes—the logic behind it is absurd. Should the public really have to be bribed not to attack bus drivers? Do airline pilots get assaulted because passengers pay for tickets?

If paying a fare provokes someone to violence, that person is not a victim of the system but someone unfit for civil society, because the next time they’re asked to follow a rule, they’ll attack someone else.

Key chairmen in Congress want to declassify evidence in suspect Ukraine impeachment case

Two powerful committee chairmen in Congress tell Just the News it is time to declassify evidence submitted by an alleged intelligence community whistleblower that prompted the first impeachment trial against President Donald Trump for his efforts to investigate the Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine.

Six years after Democrats pursued the impeachment case over a call that Trump made to Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, many of the allegations have crumbled in the face of two convictions and pardons of Hunter Biden and new evidence uncovered by Congress from the FBI, the Justice Department and the CIA.

The latest evidence was released this week by CIA Director John Ratcliffe revealing that Joe Biden‘s vice presidential staff suppressed an intelligence community report from being published that revealed that Ukrainian officials believed Hunter Biden‘s work for the corrupt Burisma Holdings energy company undercut U.S. efforts to fight corruption in that former Soviet republic.

“Declassify everything. Let’s be transparent. Let’s release all the documents,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer told the Just the News, No Noise television show. “That’s what needs to happen. The American people need to see the true reality of what was going on.

“The Democrats colluded with the liberal media, who were in cahoots with the deep state government agencies to try to create false narratives that Trump did something wrong, that he was trying to dig up something untrue about the Biden family, when it was very true and it was very serious,” he said.

Gavin Newsom’s Wife Pocketed $300K a Year from Political Insiders

California’s “First Partner,” Jennifer Siebel Newsom, has built a business empire that thrives on political connections.

Public records reveal that the wife of Gov. Gavin Newsom runs companies filled with her husband’s former Democrat aides and confidants.

At the same time, she collects hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments from the state and lobbyists.

Siebel Newsom, a documentary filmmaker and activist, operates The Representation Project, a nonprofit that pushes progressive messaging in schools and public institutions.

That nonprofit has accepted donations from corporations actively lobbying Gavin Newsom’s administration, raising serious concerns about influence peddling.

Her companies and foundations have also benefited from the support of the governor’s political allies, creating a direct overlap between California’s government apparatus and the Newsom family’s personal ventures.

The financial entanglements are wide-ranging.

In recent years, her nonprofit has received state contracts and corporate donations that coincide with policy interests before her husband’s office.

Lobbyists and politically active firms saw their contributions rewarded with access to California’s decision-making machine.

At the same time, Siebel Newsom’s family charity, the Siebel Family Charitable Foundation, directed tens of thousands of dollars back into her nonprofit, further blurring the line between charitable activity and personal enrichment.

This network of organizations and donors has allowed the Newsoms to advance a politicized agenda in California schools while financially benefiting from it.

The Representation Project has been at the center of programs that promote progressive identity politics and diversity initiatives, often funded with taxpayer dollars.

Minnesota AG Keith Ellison Claims Antifa ‘Isn’t an Organization’ on MSNBC, But He Once Posed Grinning with Their Handbook Written by Professor Who Just Fled the Country

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison appeared on MSNBC on Saturday to downplay Antifa as nothing more than an “amorphous” idea without any real institutional structure, despite his own previous posts of support for the militant extremists.

Ellison’s comments come amid growing scrutiny of his own past flirtations with the militant far-left group, including an infamous 2018 tweet where he proudly posed with a copy of “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” a book authored by Rutgers professor Mark Bray, who has now fled the United States.

During his MSNBC appearance, Ellison argued, “Because if there really is no Antifa as an institutional organization, then anybody who’s associated with Antifa-like ideas, you know, can be persecuted… The fact that there is no—nobody even knows what it is.”

The Minnesota AG claimed the first time he heard the term “Antifa” was from Trump himself during the Charlottesville controversy, dismissing the group as a vague concept that could be weaponized to suppress speech, deploy military forces, or arrest dissenters.

Conservatives and other logical people, however, point out that Antifa operates with clear hallmarks of an organized entity: flags, uniforms, local chapters, meeting places, email sign-ups, and member directives, a far cry from the intangible “idea” Ellison describes.

New Evidence Emerges Against Indicted Democrat Mayor of New Orleans in Corruption Case

A superseding federal indictment has unveiled new evidence against New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, a Democrat already facing corruption allegations, and former NOPD officer Jeffrey Vappie.

Prosecutors now claim the two engaged in a years-long fraud scheme that misused city funds to conceal their romantic relationship and bankroll luxury travel.

According to the filing, Cantrell and Vappie exchanged more than 15,000 WhatsApp messages, photos, and audio clips in just eight months.

During that period, they coordinated at least 14 domestic and international trips, racking up more than $70,000 in travel expenses billed to the city.

Vappie allegedly claimed on-duty hours during the trips, while serving on Cantrell’s executive protection detail, even though prosecutors say much of the travel was personal.

The indictment goes further, alleging that Cantrell and Vappie used WhatsApp not just for personal communication but also to intimidate subordinates, harass a private citizen, delete records, and mislead investigators.

Federal prosecutors say the pair attempted to obstruct justice by concealing evidence and offering false testimony to a federal grand jury.

Cantrell herself is accused of abusing her office to protect Vappie from scrutiny.

Prosecutors allege she pressured then-Interim NOPD Superintendent Michelle Woodfork to halt an internal probe into Vappie, despite findings that raised concerns.

Cantrell also allegedly demanded Vappie’s reassignment to her security detail, even after red flags had been raised, and concealed responsive WhatsApp records from a grand jury subpoena.

The 18-count indictment represents an escalation of a case that has dogged Cantrell for months, combining allegations of fraud, obstruction, and misuse of public funds.

While Vappie previously entered a not-guilty plea, Cantrell has consistently denied wrongdoing and accused her critics of political motivation.

Still, the mounting evidence paints a damaging picture for the city’s top official.

The indictment details patterns of excessive travel, manipulation of police resources, and alleged efforts to sidestep accountability.

For residents of New Orleans, the charges revive long-standing concerns about corruption in City Hall and misuse of taxpayer money.

Cantrell, who first took office in 2018, has faced growing criticism in recent years over crime, public safety, and fiscal management.

This latest legal development adds to those pressures, with prosecutors signaling they intend to make the mayor’s conduct central to the corruption case.

If convicted, Cantrell could face severe penalties, and the scandal could reshape the political landscape in New Orleans, where faith in city leadership has already eroded.

Rabid Leftist Who Spat on Ed Martin and Kicked US Marshals Will Avoid Prison Time After Biden Judge Sentences Her to ‘Time Served’

The rabid leftist who spat on DOJ official Ed Martin and kicked US Marshals will avoid prison time after a Biden-appointed federal judge sentenced her to ‘time served.’

The Justice Department sought 18 months in prison for Emily Sommer, the unhinged leftist who spat on Ed Martin and kicked US Marshals earlier this year.

Judge Jia Cobb, a Biden appointee, sentenced Sommer to four months time served. Sommer was sentenced to fourth months time served, home confinement and probation, rather than prison time.

In May, the Justice Department charged Emily Gabriella Sommer for assaulting Ed Martin.

Sommer was charged with violation of 18 U.S.C. § 111 (Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and employees of the United States).

In June, the DOJ asked the Court to detain Emily Sommer pending trial because she threatened Ed Martin and Jeannine Pirro in a series of X posts.

Emily Sommer was put in a DC jail after threatening a neighbor with a crowbar. She also physically attacked US Marshals after being removed from the courtroom in May.

“Sommer became agitated during her initial appearance in court on May 22 upon learning the prosecutor’s office intended to seek a more serious version of the assault charge that requires forcible contact and carries a maximum sentence of up to 8 years in prison. While in holding after being removed from the courtroom, Sommer allegedly spit and kicked on two U.S. Marshals. A second superseding indictment was filed in June with two additional assault counts for the incident,” WUSA 9 reported.

Sommer pleaded guilty to three counts of assault for spitting on Ed Martin and assaulting US Marshals.

Katie Porter’s Nasty, Abusive Attitude Is Standard, Antisocial Democrat Behavior

Reaction to newly surfaced videos this week of California Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter being an absolute horror of a human being to others is largely summed up as, “Wow, what a witch.” But there’s something deeper to consider when you put it in the context of Democrats more broadly and their extensively documented tendency to wreak havoc on innocent and unassuming people.

For the uninitiated, one of the videos featuring Porter has her in a contentious back-and-forth with a California-based TV journalist asking the loud-mouth congresswoman if she feels the need to appeal to any voters who supported President Trump in the last election. To that wildly offensive query — How dare a Democrat be questioned whether they can persuade potentially reluctant voters? — Porter threatened to walk out of the interview, scolding the journalist for giving her an “unhappy experience.” In another video, which is several years old, Porter is seen talking to a web camera with a smile — this was an apparently more happy experience — before she erupts in a volcanic rage at a woman who steps into view behind her. “Get out of my f-cking shot,” she says with the hardest f sound her two massive front teeth could muster.

This woman is a renowned monstrosity. Text messages between Porter and one of her congressional office staffers made public in 2022 showed her haranguing the poor girl over having been infected with a highly contagious, airborne virus called “Covid” and Porter blaming the staffer for spreading it. “It’s really disappointing,” the then-congresswoman said to her. The staffer profusely apologized and explained she had a lapse in following the office’s medical testing protocol due to the death of a loved one. “Well you gave me covid,” Porter replied. “In 25 months, it took you not following the rules to get me sick.”

In response to the video wherein Porter is screaming profanity at an adult woman behind her, Porter said it’s because she holds her staff to a “high standard,” and she said she was hoping to be more “intentional at demonstrating my gratitude” for the peons who do her dirty work. Independent journalist Josh Barro perfectly summarized the comment as “stereotypical therapy-speak from the sort of person who is rude because she thinks being politically progressive is a substitute for being interpersonally pleasant.”

Barro said it as if he could be talking about any random miserable person, but this is a pattern specific to Democrats: unpleasant, antisocial people who belittle and demean anyone they perceive as inferior (which, incidentally, includes anyone unlucky enough to staff their offices and anyone who can’t help them win reelection).

Everyone working on Capitol Hill or paying granular attention to politics in Washington knows this. Stories of Democrat leaders behaving toward their staffs in abhorrent ways are legion. A lot of those stories are on record and many more are casually shared among people who work in town. When I lived in Washington, a friend of mine who resided near the home of Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock told me he would see the senator dropped off each day in a car driven by what was obviously an office staffer. That staffer would get out of the driver’s seat, walk to the back to open the door for Warnock, who handed the staffer his bag. The two would then walk to the senator’s front door, with Warnock in the lead. Once Warnock was inside the doorstep, he would take his bag and the staffer would then call a ride share service to pick him up, since the car he had driven was Warnock’s.

Mind you, staffers are not paid by the members they support. They’re paid by American taxpayers, with money allocated to each congressional office. And it is simply a point of fact that you never hear these stories about Republican members. Tell me one story you’ve heard about Donald Trump or J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio or Mike Johnson or any Republican treating their official staffs this way. I’ll wait.

Katie Porter verbally abused then-husband in explicit tirade: ‘F–king idiot,’ and ‘too f–king dumb’ to operate a phone, court docs say

California gubernatorial contender Katie Porter once dumped scolding mashed potatoes on her then-husband’s head during a fight, resurfaced divorce documents allege as clips of her fiery temper continue to go viral.

The former Golden State congresswoman’s ex-hubby, Matthew Hoffman, filed for divorce in 2013 and detailed that the Democrat — who has a reputation for exploding at her staff — frequently abused him verbally and threw “toys, books and other objects” at him during their marriage, The Post previously reported.

Hoffman also filed for a restraining order from his rage-prone spouse, claiming she would “routinely” call him a “f—ing idiot” and “f—ing incompetent” – and shattered a glass coffee pot in their kitchen counter in March 2012 when she felt their house wasn’t clean enough.

“She would not let me have a cell phone because she said, ‘You’re too f—ing dumb to operate it,’” Hoffman said of Porter, 51, who has been in the hot seat this week as videos capturing her going scorched-earth and berating her former staff members made headlines.

This Democrat Lawmaker Was Just Arrested for Sexually Abusing a Minor

North Carolina state Rep. Cecil Brockman was arrested on Wednesday and is facing multiple felony counts related to sexually abusing a 15-year-old child.

Brockman, a Democrat serving his sixth term in the state House, is accused of engaging in a sexual act with a minor on August 15, according to BPR

The records say that Brockman, 41, engaged in a sexual act with a 15-year-old. He faces two counts each of indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape of a child who is 15 years old or younger.

A magistrate’s order denying Brockman bond in the case says he is a state representative and has “attempted to use his status to gain information on the whereabouts of the victim.”

The order also says that Brockman made attempts to contact the juvenile victim, including in the hospital.

The lawmaker is being held in the High Point Jail and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

Weird: Tim Walz Returns to Lie About Americans’ Freedom to Take the COVID Vaccine

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is the gift that keeps on giving. Kamala Harris opted to tap him as her running mate last year because she worried about picking a guy like Pete Buttigieg, who is gay, and how voters would respond to having him on the ticket.

Instead, Harris picked a guy who was, and remains, a weirdo, a failed governor, and a serial liar.

Tim Walz not only lied about his service record and a slew of other things, he’s back to lie about COVID and flu shots.

If Walz and his fellow Democrats had their way, you would not be free to decline those vaccines. President Biden tried to mandate the vaccines for most Americans via OSHA rules, and Walz didn’t object.

He’s also lying — the COVID and flu vaccines are available to everyone, in all 50 states, if the patient and their doctor agree it’s in their best interest to do so.

Even NBC News pointed out this fact:

The CDC’s sign-off Monday doesn’t mean people younger than 65 are barred from getting a Covid vaccine — they still can do so, after having consulted with doctors or pharmacists.

X users dragged Walz for his blatant lies.
