Accuser Tells House Ethics Panel Democrat Rep. Jimmy Gomez Assaulted Her

Attorneys for an unnamed woman told the House Committee on Ethics that Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) sexually harassed and assaulted her, disputing the California Democrat’s claim that his conduct was “consensual in nature.”

The statement, released Wednesday by attorneys Lisa J. Banks and Sarah E. Nesbitt, escalates a probe the committee announced Monday into whether Gomez engaged in “inappropriate sexual contact with a House staffer.”

The attorneys said their client sat for an interview with the panel and directly contradicted the congressman’s account of his own behavior.

“We represent one of the women who was interviewed by the House Committee on Ethics about her experience of sexual harassment and assault by Representative Jimmy Gomez,” Banks and Nesbitt wrote. “Contrary to Representative Gomez’s assertion in his statement, his actions were not ‘consensual in nature’ with respect to our client. We fully expect that the House Committee on Ethics will come to the same conclusion in its investigation.”

SO MUCH CRINGE: Liberal Media Outlet ‘Axios’ Reports Democrats’ New Midterm Strategy is ‘Bringing Sexy Back’

Ever since the 2024 election and even before that, the Democrats have been struggling with men. Male voters have been abandoning the Democrats in droves and the party has no idea what to do about it.

They basically painted themselves into a corner on this by spending years demonizing men and pushing terms like ‘toxic masculinity.’ Their efforts to turn this around now come off as hollow and desperate.

The media is trying so hard to help them. The liberal journal the Atlantic recently published a piece declaring that the era of the Democrat ‘manly man’ is back.

Now the liberal outlet Axios is reporting that the Democrats are bringing sexy back, with male candidates who are willing to unbutton the top button of their shirts on CNN.

Democrats seem to be leaning into a specific midterm strategy, especially on socials: bringing sexy back.

Why it matters: The left is leaning into candidates who look young, energetic and even desirable, with fresh faces often eclipsing the older guard.

  • “We see a rise in young millennials, or the top part of Gen Z, trying to get into office,” says Grace Weinstein, a politics and culture senior correspondent at The Recount and founder of “Who Broke It.” “We’re talking about a generation that is not always image obsessed, but always image aware.”

The big picture: Democrats are working through identity growing pains between the left flank and the party’s establishment. But with moderates and progressives alike, Dems are playing the sex appeal card.

  • The party’s main TikTok page has given big names the thirst trap treatment, including: Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) (nicknamed “Senator My Boo” by internet fans), Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed in his tight-fitting T-shirts, a grinning NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and former President Obama with a touch of gray, among others.

California Energy Commission Bans Sale of Majority of Tires… Far-Left Commissioner Licks Her Lips As She Boasts About New Rules

Meanwhile, in the Democrat hellhole of California…

The California Energy Commission on Monday voted to restrict what type of tires Californians can buy and when they can replace their tires.

The new rules will lead to a ban on the sale of the majority of tires in the state because they don’t meet the new efficiency standards.

The regulatory agency, full of unelected bureaucrats, claimed the new rules would lead to a price increase of only $6.50 per tire in the second phase; however, Bret Gladfelty of Goodyear said the increase would end up being several hundred dollars.

David Hochschild, the chairman of the California Energy Commission, absurdly claimed that the new tire rules are “ultimately about protecting consumers.”

KCRA reported:

At the center of this is a tire’s rolling resistance, or how much energy a tire uses as it rolls down the road. Lower resistance means a vehicle uses less gas or electricity. New cars come with generally efficient tires, but consumers typically replace those with higher rolling resistance tires.

The first phase would begin in 2029, which would allow the sale of tires with a maximum rolling resistance level of 9.1 newtons per kilonewton (N/kN). In phase 2, the standard lowers to 7.2 (N/kN) starting in 2033. The commission came up with the standards after testing 537 types of tires.

According to the commission’s staff, the rules are meant to ensure replacement tires sold in California are at least as energy efficient on average as the tires that come with the car or truck when it’s originally sold. The CEC claims Californians could save $79 in four months in gas or electricity costs under phase 1, and about $153 in phase 2 within seven months.

According to analysis by KCRA, more than 70% of tires will be banned.

Abdul El-Sayed Compares Himself to Jesus: He Was ‘Radical in His Time Too’

Far-left Democrat Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed cited the Quran as the inspiration behind his politics and compared himself to Jesus during a podcast interview in May.

El-Sayed — who abides by Sharia law in his personal life —  made the comments in an appearance on the The Progressive Christians Podcast, citing Islam as the force behind his politics while also denying attempting to “push a certain ideology.”

El-Sayed said:

One of the most frustrating things is there’s this notion that somehow when Muslims are trying to organize politically, that there’s this effort to push a certain ideology. There’s this verse in the Quran, Lā ikrāha fī d-dīn, which literally means there’s no compulsion on faith. So if you’re not doing a certain thing out of your faith, compelling people to follow a certain set of faith or set of laws out of your faith — like faith is kind of the thing itself.

So there is no compulsion in religion. Your job is to live out your faith, and to try to do so in a way where you’re offering dignity and opportunity to other people — not to compel them to behave in any sort of way, but to try to create a level freedom where people have the right to choose how they want to live their lives, if they want to pray at all, how they want to pray, who they want to love, how they want to engage in the world.

Polling Firm Showing Karen Bass, Francesca Hong in Lead Admits Fake Polls: ‘Short-Term Social Experiment’

A fake polling firm projecting Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Wisconsin Democrat socialist gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong with leads over their opponents admits these were fake polls as part of a “short-term social experiment.”

In a statement posted to the website for Median Strategies, the fake polling firm explained it “has concluded its polling project and will not publish additional polls.”

The statement from Median Strategies goes on to say, “All previously published polling releases have been withdrawn and should not be cited or treated as genuine polling data.”

“Median Strategies was created as a short-term social experiment examining how purported polling information could enter and spread through the political information ecosystem without independent verification,” the statement continued.

The statement from Median Strategies comes as the firm released a fake poll which showed Karen Bass with a 12-point lead over her opponent Nithya Raman prior to the Los Angeles mayoral runoff race in November, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Median Strategies explained that the “results were based on a survey of 560 Los Angeles voters between July 30 and Aug. 5. It said it had a 4.1 percent margin of error,” according to the outlet.

Democratic Congressman Under Ethics Committee Investigation for Alleged ‘Inappropriate Sexual Contact’

A California Democratic congressman who is the chairman of the Congressional Dads Caucus is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

On Monday, the Ethics Committee said it is “reviewing allegations that Representative Jimmy Gomez may have engaged in sexual misconduct in violation of the Code of Official Conduct or any other applicable standard of conduct, including engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a House staffer in violation of clause 18(b) of the Code.”

“The Committee notes that the mere fact that it is investigating these allegations, and publicly disclosing its review, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred,” its statement said.

Gomez admitted having extramarital relations but said it was all legal, according to Politico.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Wins Florida Primary in District with Large Black Population Despite Blowback From Black Democrats

Longtime Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Tuesday evening won Florida’s US House 20 Democrat primary.

Earlier this year, Black Democrats lashed out at Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her decision to run for reelection in a district with a majority black population.

Wasserman Schultz was first elected to Congress in 2004 to represent Florida’s 25th District.

However, Wasserman Schultz was forced to run in Florida’s 20th Congressional District after Republican lawmakers redistricted and reshaped the map.

Wasserman Shultz ran in an area that was represented by Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a black lawmaker who resigned earlier this year after she was indicted on fraud charges.

Black Democrats lashed out at Wasserman Schultz and attacked her for running in a district with a large black population.

“I think, for sure, it was a bad move by the congresswoman to run in this district. It was selfish and all about her, her career, and not about the community. She failed to do any meaningful dialogue with the community before announcing her run, and it comes off as a hostile takeover of the district,” said Elijah Manley, a 27-year-old Black Democrat and progressive organizer running against her in the primary.

Docs: Abdul El-Sayed’s mother worked for designated terror group IARA that ‘provided direct financial support’ to Osama bin Laden, Taliban, Hamas

Jacqueline El-Sayed married El-Sayed’s father, Mohamed El-Sayed, not long after he immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1980s with Fatten Fathy Elkomy, the U.S. Senate candidate’s birth mother.

“They ended up getting divorced,” El-Sayed said of his birth parents during a 2017 speech before the Islamic Foundation. “And my mother, she remarried a gentleman who was working as a translator in the Middle East and moved back to the Middle East.”

From 1999 through at least 2004, Elkomy worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, also known as the Islamic African Relief Agency, which operated over 40 offices throughout the world ostensibly focused on health care, orphans, and disadvantaged people in areas of conflict.

In October 2004, the U.S. Department of Treasury designated the worldwide network, along with five senior officials, as an organization supporting terrorism, including support for Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks carried out by al-Qaeda that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.

Declassified Files Reveal Eric Swalwell Admitted to Sex with Chinese Spy Fang Fang

Files declassified by President Donald Trump on former Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and the Chinese spy known as Fang Fang reveal that the disgraced ex-congressman admitted to the FBI he had a sexual relationship with her  — and that the bureau attempted at one point to recruit her without her knowledge.

The documents prove that the United States government was aware of the suspicious relationship between Swalwell and Fang since at least 2014, years before Axios broke the story in 2020.

A zip file of documents, labeled “Rusty Thumbs” after the FBI’s codename for Fang, was published on the White House Election Integrity webpage on Monday along with the following synopsis:

The FBI developed evidence that a Chinese woman with direct ties to that country’s intelligence service had potentially compromised a Democratic congressman from California with sex, foreign interns and illicit donations while she was being recruited to become a bureau informant a decade ago, according to bombshell memos that expose another threat to America’s political system from Beijing.

The files chronicling the relationship between Rep. Eric Swalwell and the Chinese national Fang Fang – also known by her English name Christine Fang – were declassified by President Donald Trump and released Monday by the White House Government Transparency Task Force as part of a broader effort to unmask foreign threats to U.S. political and election systems.

According to the explosive FBI files, the bureau had opened a full-scale investigation into Swalwell over the allegations that Fang, a suspected intelligence operative for the Chinese government, had been facilitating campaign contributions for him in exchange for placing interns in his office. At one stage of the operation, the objective was to gather enough evidence to arrest and charge both Swalwell and Fang, who had ties to China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS).

Multiple witnesses described their interactions with Fang to the FBI, including a winery owner who said that Fang told him to “just bring his checkbook” to a campaign event for Swalwell because she would reimburse him, and a wealthy restaurant franchise owner who said that Fang wanted his contribution to Swalwell attributed to her. 

The FBI’s case, codenamed “Freshman Fifteen,” was opened as a “Sensitive Investigative Matter” due to one of its subjects being a sitting member of congress at the time. In June 2014, an FBI memorandum stated that the possible violations included bribery of public officials, conspiracy, excessive campaign contributions, prohibited foreign-national contributions and contributions through conduits. 

In a May 2015 FBI interview, Swalwell said he first met Fang in 2012 when they were seated at the same table at an event celebrating the Chinese-American community. In the interview, he described Fang as a “striking individual,” and admitted that he met her for a drink a couple of weeks later. 

After that drink, he said that their relationship became sexual. 

According to Swalwell, he had “physical relations with Fang on a handful of occasions,” although the relationship did not become romantic. He said their last sexual encounter was in March 2015, just a couple of months before he sat down for that interview. 

While he described the relationship as casual, he stated that he believed that Fang wanted something more romantic. 

“Investigation has revealed that Fang Fang, a Chinese foreign national residing in the United States, is the facilitator of a scheme to trade internships in Congressman Eric Swalwell’s Congressional office in return for campaign contributions,” an FBI memorandum stated. 

The memorandum noted that “in at least two cases,” Fang used middlemen in order to conceal herself as a foreign-national source of political donations. 

When Swalwell was interviewed by the FBI again in March 2016, he brought along legal counsel. He again admitted to once having an ongoing physical relationship with Fang, but reiterated that it never advanced into formal dating. 

The FBI records also stated that Fang was introduced to Swalwell by the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA), with Swalwell telling the FBI that anyone Fang recommended for an internship with his office was effectively coming through APAPA. 

One of these referred interns who worked on Swalwell’s campaign was a Chinese national Fang referred to as her sister, though they were not related. 

Another Fang referral, who was a student at University of California, Davis, was given an internship in Swalwell’s office in Washington, DC.

Fang also extended multiple invitations to Swalwell and his family, including his father, to visit China. The Swalwells declined these invitations, with the then-congressman telling the FBI that he did not want to go unless it was an official trip sanctioned by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

California Dem Calls Out ‘Collapse’ of Hollywood on Newsom’s Watch: ‘Industry Beaten Down Watching the Exit of Productions to Other States and Overseas’

As the costs of making movies and TV shows continue to soar, California has found itself last on the list of locations for productions looking to cut costs. But despite this pressure, California’s Attorney General, Rob Bonta, is making it harder for film and TV productions to stay and now he’s even on the verge of chasing Paramount out of the Golden State entirely.

Workers, tens of thousands of them blue-collar, are hardest hit by these political battles. As the industry deteriorates in the state, congresswoman Laura Friedman (D-CA), a former film producer, says employees feel “beaten down,” according to Politico.

Los Angeles County has already lost more than 42,000 film and TV jobs since 2022. Studios, production companies, and filmmakers continue to escape to other states and even other countries to create their entertainment, Politico noted.

Productions have fled the extremely high costs of filming in California and have ended up in Illinois, Louisiana, Georgia, New Mexico, and New York, among a growing list of other U.S. states. Foreign locations are an even greater draw as countries offer huge tax incentives and lower wages, and even fewer union rules in some cases. Countries such as Canada, the UK, Romania, and the Canary Islands have all jumped into the TV and film production game drawing more productions to their shores and away from California.

To combat this massive loss of revenue and jobs, California’s legislature has more than doubled the state’s Film & Television Tax Credit Program to $750 million. But Democrat Gov. Newsom is even working to undermine this credit offer by proposing limitations on the state’s corporate tax credits.
