On the 2 party system…

After Republicans increased their share of the Hispanic vote in 2020, Congressional Democrats are clamoring to use the force of government to prevent Latinos from hearing conservative ideas.
Multiple members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), including Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), the chair of its political arm, want the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to block the sale of a Miami Spanish-language radio station to a company they believe will move its programming from a left-wing to a right-wing slant.
America CV, a Spanish-language media company, announced that it was buying Caracol 1260 AM this month. Soon after, it said it would change the station’s name to America Radio and replaced Raul Martinez, a liberal talk show host and former government official, Newsweek reported.

We first noticed it when Big Tech began to silence Trump supporters on social media in an obvious attempt to sway the election for Joe Biden. And it worked. While there’s no single factor that threw the election, the actions of Big Tech is quashing negative stories, such as Biden family influence peddling, were significant. Post-election, the same Big Tech that allowed Russia-collusion conspiracy theories to thrive for four years deplatformed people and even the President, for allegedly spreading election conspiracy theories.
Focusing on Big Tech was correct and understandable because Big Tech controls so much of our communications. But what has become clear is that the Big Tech problem was really a subset of a Big Woke Corp. problem.
Many of largest corporations, including household names like Coca-Cola and Delta, have thrown in with Democrats based on the Big Lie that modest changes to preserve voting integrity are “Jim Crow 2.0.” We covered recently how lies about the Georgia voter integrity laws caused corporations to become agents of Democrats, Over 100 Corporate Leaders Side With Democrats, Form Plan to Respond to Voting Laws.
Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) introduced legislation on Wednesday to ban the sale and possession of firearm suppressors.
His legislation, the Help Empower Americans to Respond (HEAR) Act, is co-sponsored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), among others.
It would ban the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer, and possession of firearm suppressors.
Menendez commented on the legislation, saying:
Gun silencers are dangerous devices with one purpose and one purpose only – to muffle the sound of gunfire from unsuspecting victims. The sound of gunshots is what signals you to run, hide, take cover, call the police and help others save themselves; however, this is nearly impossible when a gun silencer is used. That is why we must pass the HEAR Act, commonsense legislation that will prevent armed assailants from using these deadly devices to make it easier to shoot and kill another person.
Sen. Feinstein also commented: “Gun silencers and suppressors are dangerous and don’t belong in our communities. They hide the sound of gunfire from potential victims and law enforcement. Removing them will save lives.”
The Electoral College is outlined in Article II, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution. Nonetheless, Democrats have introduced a resolution to abolish the Electoral College. There is no doubt they want to end it, but a resolution carries no weight.
The College gives each state “in such manner as the legislature thereof may direct” electors equal to its representation in Congress.
Abolishing it would take a Constitutional amendment, which would require the votes of two-thirds of the U.S. House of Representatives, two-thirds of the Senate, and three-fourths of the states.
Former Democrat Mayor of Sebastopol in Sonoma County, California was arrested and charged Tuesday with 11 felony child sex crimes.
The charges against Robert Emmanuel Jacob, 44, included: committing lewd acts with a child ages 14 to 15, participating in sexual penetration of a child under 16, making a child under 16 available to another person for lewd or lascivious acts, and distribution of child pornography.
Robert Jacob, an openly gay progressive cannabis businessman, has voiced support for BLM and defunding police and often lashed out on Trump on social media.
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform passed H.R. 51 by a vote of 25-19 Wednesday following an hours-long markup on the current legislative attempt to add Washington, D.C. as America’s 51st state.
Ultimately, if the Constitution is to be followed, the Democrats’ supposed progress doesn’t really matter, because they’re pursuing an end through improper means.
Democrats in the House Committee on Oversight and Reform (two things for which Democrats in Congress are not particularly well-known) carried on with what our own Larry O’Connor appropriately called “obscene Kabuki theatre” pursuing statehood for our nation’s capital. Back in March, O’Connor noted one big problem with the left’s most recent attempt to give D.C. statehood:
The very body discussing DC statehood does not have the power through a simple majority to grant said statehood.
It’s pretty clear in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17:
“[The Congress shall have Power] To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States.”
In addition to what O’Connor pointed out back in March, there’s also the question of what to do with the electoral college votes allocated to D.C. by the 23rd Amendment. If the occupants of the White House end up being the only residents of the shrunken federal territory, one household—likely two or three people—on Pennsylvania Avenue would wield three electoral votes, the same as all the residents of Alaska.
