As predicted, AOC is clearly running for president

Here at American Thinker, we predicted that AOC is a real possibility as the 2028 Democrat party presidential candidate. Yesterday, AOC made it plain that she thinks so, too.

AOC’s appeal to the left is obvious: She’s female, glib, telegenic, well-recognized, vaguely Hispanic, antisemitic, and a truly leftist ideologue. Bernie Sanders rightly sees her as the bridge between his old-fashioned class warfare and the new multi-culti warfare, both vehicles for the Marxist overthrow of the West. That’s why the two of them have been appearing in venues across America to rally the true believers.

The fact that AOC’s sole life experience before politics has been as a bartender/waitress is irrelevant (although it exceeds Bernie’s pre-political life experience). That this might not prepare her for managing the vast enterprise that is the United States government, dealing with foreign leaders, or having any wisdom at all fades into insignificance compared to her leftist virtues.

That’s the only possible spin to put on this video, which shows that AOC also thinks that her leftist virtues mean that she’s got to seize the moment.

Batya Ungar-Sargon Slams Dems for Continually Invoking the Nazis Over Trump: ‘A Big Part of Why They Have Lost’

Batya Ungar-Sargon, who is a liberal and also Jewish, recently appeared on CNN and slammed Democrats for constantly invoking Hitler and the Nazis when talking about Trump and the people who voted for him.

She held out Seinfeld co-creator Larry David, who recently wrote a column for the New York Times which bashed Bill Maher for having dinner at the White House with ‘Hitler’ Trump.

She reminded the CNN panel that when you use this kind of rhetoric, you are labeling millions of working class American voters as Nazis. These are the same voters that Democrats lost in the 2024 election.

Do Democrats really think this is the way to win these people back?

“To call Trump Hitler, is to call over 80 million Americans, 35% of Jewish Americans, 56% of Hispanic men, and the majority of Americans who make under $100,000 a year, Nazis,” she said.

“Because those are the people who gave Donald Trump his victory.”

“I just have a pro tip for any Democrats who are thinking about winning back the working class,” she said.

“Those people who make under $100,000 a year, who a majority of whom voted for Trump—you should have a visceral disgust for someone like Larry David, who’s worth $400 million sitting there and sneering and smearing the hardest working Americans for refusing to cosign their own disinheritance.”

“That’s effectively what they are doing when these millionaires come out here and call Trump Hitler,” she added.

“They are calling working class Americans, Nazis, because they chose the person they thought would give their children back, the future they were promised by this country.”

From ‘Trump is Hitler’ to dark woke?

The good news is that the Democrats have finally figured out that calling Trump “Hitler” is a loser. The bad news is that they are switching to “dark woke,” a new strategy based on throwing everything they have at the President. Here it goes:

“Resistance” Democrats are starting to abandon civil politics in favor of a new provocative and combative “dark woke,” a new report says.

The term “dark woke” refers to an online meme that gained popularity in January amid President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Under the “#darkwoke” tag, left-leaning X users share jokes and memes delighting in or wishing for the suffering of Trump supporters.

Though the term is largely an online phenomenon, some members of the Democratic Party are beginning to see some benefits to the “crass” and “rude” attitude.

“Republicans have essentially put Democrats in a respectability prison,” Bhavik Lathia, a communications consultant and former digital director for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, told the New York Times on Monday. “There is an extreme imbalance in strategy that allows Republicans to say stuff that really grabs voters’ attention, where we’re stuck saying boring pablum. I see this as a strategic shift within Democratic messaging — I’m a big fan of ‘dark woke.’”

So it’s dark woke now! It looks like the face of this new movement is Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a lady who represents the one district in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that everybody wants to move out of. Just take a car ride around the district, and tell me if that’s where you want to settle down. Texas is leading the nation in relocations, but no one is looking for a property in that district.

The Democrats think that “dark woke” will make it easier for them to communicate with young people and recover all those votes that they used to count on election day.

Crooked County Attorney in Minnesota Who Let Democrat State Worker Walk After Keying Teslas Now Charges a Young Woman for Similar Crime

A member of the Tim Walz administration keyed several Tesla vehicles and caused upwards of $20,000 in damages. The Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty let him walk.

Now a young woman with no criminal record has been accused of keying her co-worker’s car and she apparently will be charged.

Is there a better example of selective justice? Why does the Tim Walz associate get a free pass, but the young woman with no political connections gets charged?

The Mankato Free Press reported:

But one case is striking for the argument Moriarty has made around Adams being a first-time offender.

A 19-year-old Robbinsdale woman with no criminal record was charged with first-degree felony property damage on Monday after she allegedly keyed her coworker’s car at the White Castle in Brooklyn Park. The damage to the car was estimated at $7,000. She is due to make her first court appearance in two weeks.

When asked how she could balance that charging decision with the decision to not charge Adams, Moriarty didn’t directly respond. She said her office’s main goal is to hold the person accountable for keying the car, get restitution to the people affected, and avoid felony convictions when possible, because it can waylay someone’s life. She said all of that will happen in Adams’ case, and if he fails to complete the diversion program criminal charges will be filed.

‘Should we have treated this gentleman differently because it’s a political issue?’ Moriarty asked. ‘We made this decision because it is in the best interest of public safety.’

The message being sent here is loud and clear.

More Letitia Files: Is NY Attorney General Letitia James a Slumlord? – Tenants Complain of Peeling Paint, Apartments Used as Hotel Rooms, and Every Unit Reported Bedbug Infestations!

New York Attorney General Letitia James, champion of the poor and wretched, is now facing criticism for her conduct as a landlord.

Records from the New York City Department of Buildings and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) indicate a troubling pattern of neglect at her five-unit apartment building at 296 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn.

In the past 20 months alone, there have been 17 complaints against James with the New York City Department of Buildings.

These include unauthorized construction work without proper permits, the alteration of a load-bearing wall without permits, illegal use of apartments as hotel rooms, illegal conversion, a fence over the height limit, and a failure to notify authorities of scaffold work.

More alarming still, all four of Letitia James’s tenants are listed as having bedbug infestations and re-infestations.

U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly Introduces New “Assault Weapons” Ban

Dubbed the “GOSAFE Act,” this unconstitutional bill would regulate the sale, transfer and manufacture of “gas-operated semi-automatic firearms by establishing a list and prevent modifications of so-called “prohibited firearms.”

Similar legislation has been introduced in state legislatures and has even been signed into law by Colorado Governor Jared Polis in recent weeks.

According to a press release from the bill sponsor U.S. Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) the GOSAFE Act would:

Regulate the sale, transfer, and manufacture of gas-operated semi-automatic firearms by:

  • Establishing a list of prohibited firearms;
  • Preventing modifications of permissible firearms;
  • Mandating that future gas-operated designs are approved before manufacture;
  • Preventing firearm self-assembly and manufacturing;
  • Prohibiting machinegun conversion devices;
  • Limit high-capacity ammunition devices;

This legislation is certainly more restrictive than what even California and New York have on the books regarding semi-automatic firearms.

Unhinged Woman Is Dragged from Idaho Town Hall After She Won’t Stop Screaming – Bites a Man – Then Sues 6 Men after Her “Right to Free Speech” Is Violated & Raises $330K on GoFundMe

When was it exactly that the “right to free speech” included interrupting meetings, screaming nonstop, and harassing people at public meetings?

Screaming leftist Teresa Borrenpohl was removed from her seat at a public legislative meeting back in February in Idaho after she would not stop screaming and interrupting the meeting.

Private security officers from Lear Asset Management dragged the crazed woman out of the auditorium. On the way out she bit one of the men. The security officials tried to tie her hands with zip ties. Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris recorded the incident, and encouraged the belligerent woman’s removal.

Teresa was screaming about women dying following the Roe v. Wade reversal by the Supreme Court.

On Monday, prosecutors in Coeur d’Alene filed misdemeanor charges against the men who dragged Teresa from the meeting.

Teresa is also planning on suing the officials.

You just can’t make this up.

Ellison: Female Athletes Being Injured by Biological Men Is ‘One Video’

During an interview with Fox 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul on Tuesday, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) responded to safety concerns around allowing biological men in women’s sports in light of the Payton McNabb incident and the state’s lawsuit over the Trump administration’s push to keep biological men out of women’s sports by saying that “I’ll leave you and your viewers and other people to discuss what happened in one video.”

Host Amy Hockert asked, “What do you think about people like Riley Gaines…girls and women who we’ve seen, sometimes videos are circulated of a volleyball player who has a ball smashed in her face and is physically harmed? When you see those types of videos, does that play into this at all for you?”

Ellison answered, “I’m really just going to have to go back to what the Minnesota law says. I’ll leave you and your viewers and other people to discuss what happened in one video. But what I have to do is stand on what the law is and uphold the law for all Minnesotans.”

‘Total bull****!’ Watch interviewer come completely unglued when potential 2028 Dem candidate brushes aside trans issues

Podcast host Jennifer Welch became enraged during a Tuesday episode of her show when former Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel downplayed the importance of transgender issues.

Emanuel, who is seriously considering a bid for president in 2028, appeared on “I’ve Had It” and criticized the Democratic Party for focusing on “bathroom” issues at the expense of “kitchen table” and “family room” issues. Welch  vehemently disagreed and became agitated, accusing Emanuel of adopting a “right-wing media narrative.”

“That is such bull****! That is total bull****! That is buying into the right-wing media narrative and I’m so sick of Democrats like you selling out and saying this. You know who talks about trans people more than anybody? MAGA,” Welch said. “MAGA is the most genital-obsessed political party I have ever seen. [Former Vice President] Kamala Harris talked about homeownership. She talked about kitchen table issues. Trump’s over there droning on about Hannibal Lecter. Are you kidding me?”

“This is where the Democrats lose, because we’re playing the game with the rulebook — they’ve ripped the rulebook up and are cramming it down everybody’s throat. And Democrats are upset because [former President] Joe Biden pardoned his son?” she continued. “We gotta f***ing fight! They’re the gender-obsessed weirdos, not us. We’re the ones who fight for Social Security. We fight for Medicare. And yeah, we’re not going to bully trans people. We’re not going to f***ing do it. If you want to do it, fine.”

Emanuel touted his record as former Chicago mayor, saying in 2016 he “dealt with the bathroom issue.”

“It’s not my most important issue,” he said. “It was dealt with, and I appropriately dealt with [it], dealt with marriage equality, as I said.”

Welch repeated all she cares about regarding transgender issues is not bullying people who are transgender. Emanuel expressed his agreement.
