Will County Democrat Jacqueline Traynere — Who Once Struck a Child With Her Car — Now CHARGED With Three Counts of Computer Tampering After Allegedly Hacking Fellow Board Members’ Emails

The scandals surrounding Will County Democrat Jacqueline Traynere keep piling up.

Traynere, a Democrat Will County Board member serving Bolingbrook, Illinois, is now officially charged with three counts of computer tampering, according to documents filed in Will County Circuit Court this week, Patch reported.

The charges stem from an incident in March 2024 when Traynere allegedly accessed the private email account of Republican Board Chair Judy Ogalla without authorization. Prosecutors say Traynere then forwarded Ogalla’s conversations to Democrat County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant in an apparent attempt to undermine her political opponents.

Computer tampering is a Class B misdemeanor in Illinois.

More from the Chicago Tribune:

Traynere, a Bolingbrook Democrat, allegedly accessed the email account of board member Judy Ogalla, a Monee Republican, in March 2024 without Ogalla’s authorization, according to the charges.

The misdemeanor charges filed by special prosecutor William Elward state Traynere forwarded emails from Ogalla’s account to herself and others.

Ogalla, who was the Will County Board chairman at the time, said that Traynere knowingly accessed her email and knew it was unethical.

Ogalla questioned whether Traynere had opened her email more than once. She said she doesn’t know what all Traynere saw.

“Was she in my email other times and I just didn’t know?” Ogalla said. “She shouldn’t have done it.”

An email exchanged between board member Steve Balich, a Homer Glen Republican, and Ogalla regarding the controversial 143rd Street road widening project had been forwarded to the county executive, who replied to the email, Balich said during a July 2024 news conference with other County Board Republicans.

This isn’t Traynere’s first brush with controversy. Earlier this year, she was involved in a disturbing incident where she struck a child riding a bicycle with her car.

Trans Dem Rep Makes Shocking Confession Nobody Saw Coming

One of the most prominent progressive figures in the Democratic Party has made a revealing admission that is now making waves across social media.

Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE), who is biologically male and identifies as transgender, offered surprisingly blunt commentary during an appearance on The Ezra Klein Show. In a conversation that veered away from typical talking points, McBride acknowledged that the Democratic Party may have gone too far, too fast in advancing radical gender ideology. The fallout, McBride explained, has contributed to a nationwide backlash that is increasingly difficult to ignore.

“Candidly, I think we’ve lost the art of persuasion,” McBride told Klein. “I think that allowed for the misinformation, the disinformation — that well-coordinated, well-funded campaign — to really take advantage of that lack of understanding.”

McBride continued by noting that progressives as a whole have become too rigid in their messaging and goals. “We became absolutist — not just on trans rights but across the progressive movement — and we forgot that in a democracy we have to grapple with where the public authentically is and actually engage with it.”

The Delaware congressperson, who made history in January by becoming the first openly transgender member of Congress, has not shied away from contentious cultural issues. In fact, McBride has been at the center of several political flashpoints since being sworn in. Early in the congressional term, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a resolution aimed at preventing McBride from using women’s restrooms on Capitol Hill. Although McBride chose to comply with the policy and shift attention toward legislative work, the decision drew criticism from some transgender activists who felt it signaled a retreat from principle.

In another highly publicized incident, Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) repeatedly referred to McBride as “Mr. McBride” during a Foreign Affairs Subcommittee hearing in March. The repeated “misgendering” sparked a heated exchange that led Democrats to abruptly end the session. McBride responded coolly with, “Thank you, Madame Chair,” and later denounced the GOP for being “obsessed with culture‑war issues,” reiterating a commitment to stay focused on policy-making rather than personal attacks.

Fulton County Defies Court Orders Requiring Confirmation Of GOP Election Board Nominees

The Democrat-led Fulton County Board of Commissioners is once again defying a court order in its determination to block two Republicans from taking their seats on the county’s elections board.

The Republican Party of Fulton County nominated Julie Adams and Jason Frazier to serve on the elections board in May. Despite state law requiring that the county commissioners “shall” accept the appointments, they had previously refused to do so, criticizing Adams and Frazier for their election integrity efforts.

Even after the Fulton County Republican Party filed suit in June, and the court found in their favor early in August, the commissioners still refused to comply.

Last Wednesday, the board of commissioners filed a motion asking the court to reconsider. Two days later, Fulton County Superior Court Judge David Emerson once again ordered them to confirm Adams and Frazier at the board’s “next regularly scheduled meeting,” describing their actions as a “bad faith” stall tactic.

“The court directs the defendant board to comply with its order,” Emerson wrote.

The board of commissioners even filed an emergency motion with the Georgia Supreme Court, which was transferred to the Georgia Court of Appeals and quickly denied.

But even that did not stop them from behaving like petulant children who aren’t getting their way. In a 2-2 vote on Tuesday, with three members absent by the time the vote happened, the board of commissioners failed to pass Republican Commissioner Bridget Thorne’s motion to confirm the appointees. (You can watch the relevant portion of the meeting here, or read an AI-generated transcript here.)

Thorne argued that the unlawful delay caused “irreparable harm,” and noted an upcoming special election for a state senate seat. It’s a point that Fulton County GOP Chair Stephanie Endres has also emphasized. “There are elections happening right now and our representation is being denied,” Endres told me.

In response to Thorne’s motion, Democrat Commissioner Dana Barrett insisted “no judge” could “compel” her to approve the nominations, minutes before claiming to “respect the rule of law.” She told the activists at Democracy Docket she was willing to “risk contempt charges and fines or jail.”

Her fellow Democrat Commissioner Mo Ivory chimed in, saying “No one should force an elected official or any voter to cast a particular vote.” Ironically, Democrats’ complaint about Adams is her decision not to certify the results of a primary election.

Following Wednesday’s vote, Jason Frazier told me he was “disappointed by the decisions of the Democrat board members,” and that his “only goal is to help Fulton County follow election laws and run clean elections.”

Julie Adams said simply, “The Fulton [Board of Commissioners] was ordered to comply with the order of the court on Friday or risk being held in contempt. Today, they defied that order.”

Texas Dem Has ‘Oh Sh*t’ Moment After ‘Felony’ Bathroom Call

A Texas Democratic lawmaker who fled the state earlier this month abruptly hung up on a call with Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin and other top party leaders on Wednesday, after she says she was warned that she was committing a felony.

“Sorry, I have to leave,” state Rep. Nicole Collier (D) said during the call – interrupting Martin. “They said it’s a felony for me to do this. Apparently I can’t be on the floor or in a bathroom.”

“You told me I was only allowed to be here in the bathroom,” she told someone off camera. “No, hold on — bye everybody, I’ve got to go.”

Collier snuck off to the Texas Capitol’s bathroom to participate in the call as the state House moved forward with a vote on a GOP-friendly House map (that the Dems fled the state to try and block, only to return after their their paychecks were changed to in-person pickup).

Democrats who wanted to leave and come back to the Capitol in between House meetings could only do so after “agreeing to be released into the custody of a designated DPS officer appointment under the rules of the House,” according to Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows (R). They also have to sign a form saying they will come back to the state Legislature.

Collier declined to agree to the terms and instead has slept inside the state House in protest. –The Hill

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) called the incident “outrageous,” adding “Rep. Collier in the bathroom has more dignity than Donald Trump in the Oval Office.”

Woman Who Tried to Take Trump Off 2024 Ballot in Colorado Calls Him a Threat to Democracy for Wanting to End Mail-In Voting

Jena Griswold, the Secretary of State in Colorado, who tried to take Trump off of the 2024 election ballot in her state, went on CNN this week and accused Trump of being a threat to democracy.

Do people on the left even hear themselves talk?

Griswold is apparently very upset that Trump is trying to do away with mail-in ballots. Just two days ago, a video emerged of Democrats in Michigan stuffing a ballot box.

She sure seems angry about the idea of losing mail-in voting. What does her reaction to this tell you?

The Washington Examiner reports:

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said Tuesday that President Donald Trump is attempting a “power grab” in trying to clamp down on mail-in voting.

Trump discussed mail-in voting during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, where he said the two agreed it is not “honest.” Trump vowed Monday he will issue an executive order to ban mail-in ballots and voting machines ahead of the 2026 elections.

Griswold said states are responsible for overseeing elections, “not Donald Trump.”

“Look, mail ballots are secure. They cannot be hacked because they‘re a piece of paper. That is increasingly more important, as Trump has made our elections less secure since taking office again. He‘s disbanded much of the federal government‘s work on countering foreign disinformation, and is obviously taking cues about democracy from a dictator, Putin,” Griswold said on CNN.

Activists Admit ‘Nonpartisan’ Voter Registration Schemes Were Always About Boosting Democrats

A member of the Democratic National Committee admitted that so-called nonpartisan voter registration schemes were always, in fact, partisan.

The New York Times’ Shane Goldmacher and Jonah Smith concede in an analysis on Democrats’ cratering voter registration numbers that “For years, the left has relied on a sprawling network of nonprofits — which solicit donations from people whose identities they need not disclose — to register Black, Latino and younger voters. Though the groups are technically nonpartisan, the underlying assumption has been that most new voters registering would vote Democrat.”

But it’s Democrat strategist and member of the Democratic National Committee Maria Cardona who admits the underlying strategy of these supposedly non-partisan organizations: It was never about engaging voters; it was about engaging voters who would vote Democrat.

Now, with President Trump’s gains among minority voters, “you can’t just register a young Latino or a young Black voter and assume that they’re going to know that it’s Democrats that have the best policies,” Cardona told Goldmacher.

In other words, as pointed out on X by investigative researcher Parker Thayer, “All of the sudden the ‘nonpartisan’ voter registration nonprofits don’t seem to care about the civic participation of minorities any more.”

These supposedly nonpartisan registration groups only cared about registering minorities when they assumed those voters would be reliably Democrat. Now that President Trump and Republicans are making inroads with demographics that once seemed safely Democrat, the party is worried its “nonpartisan” efforts could backfire.

Of course such an admission is not surprising. Just after taking office, then-President Joe Biden issued an executive order mandating federal agencies register and mobilize voters “with the express intent of increasing election participation among minority groups that tend to vote disproportionately Democrat,” as Ben Weingarten explained in these pages. The order instructed agencies to enlist the help of “nonpartisan third-party organizations … to provide voter registration services on agency premises.”

In analyzing “Bidenbucks” recipients who participated in a July 2021 “listening session,” The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project found that “Every participant whose party affiliation or political donation history could be identified by the Oversight Project was identified as a Democrat except for one Green Party member.”

Leftists Admit They Can’t Win Without Rewriting The Constitution

Seldom does a headline simultaneously proclaim impotency and promise utter destruction, but The New York Times managed it: “Abolish the Senate. End the Electoral College. Pack the Court.”

To be fair, this was not an opinion piece per se but a partial transcript of an episode of Ross Douthat’s Interesting Times podcast, where Douthat interviewed Osita Nwanevu, a contributing editor at The New Republic, a columnist at The Guardianand a research fellow at the Roosevelt Institute. The occasion was Nwanevu’s first book, The Right of the People: Democracy and the Case for a New American Founding.

Nwanevu’s book is free of original argumentation. His example of why the Senate is “anti-democratic” is that California, a state that could be “one of the 40 largest countries in the world,” only has two senators, which gives a state like Wyoming “about 60, or more than 60, times the representation than people in California.”

And don’t try to say California’s 52-member delegation in the House of Representatives — the largest in the House by far — evens things out: “The Senate shapes the judiciary, it shapes the executive branch, and obviously, it’s a veto point for the passage of even ordinary legislation.” Thus, Nwanevu argues, “we have a fundamental piece of our system that flouts basic democratic principles.”

Never mind that the House originates all monied bills, or that all impeachments must originate in the House, or that House and Senate must both pass a bill before it sees the president’s desk.

His ideas for “saving democracy” are just as moldy. Create new states (his nominees, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., are the usual suspects). Stuff the Supreme CourtHave a national, popular vote for president. The same ideas the left has been repeating for years now. Nwanevu is just the latest parrot to sing the same song for the choir.

DNC Chair Calls For Government Shutdown to Fight the ‘Fascist in the White House’

During a Tuesday broadcast of MSNBC’s The Weeknight, Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin said Democrats should be prepared to shut down the federal government in response to the deployment of National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., and the Justice Department’s actions under President Donald Trump.

Martin’s remarks came during an interview with co-host Laura Barrón-López, who asked whether Democrats should consider a shutdown if Trump continues to use federal agencies in ways they oppose.

Barrón-López asked, “Do you think that Democrats should shut the government down if the president continues to use the Justice Department to go after his enemies, or if he keeps National Guard troops in the streets?”

Martin answered, “Yes, you have a fascist in the White House, and that requires us — we cannot be the only one playing by the rules with a hand tied behind our backs. That old playbook, the norms that used to have guardrails on our democracy and protect all of us in this country, that doesn’t exist anymore. We’ve got to throw that playbook out the window because the Republicans have.”

He continued, “We cannot be the only party that’s playing by the rules anymore. That’s why I said this isn’t your grandfather’s Democratic Party, where you bring a pencil to a knife fight. We are bringing a bazooka to a knife fight. Donald Trump wanted a showdown. The Republicans want a showdown. We’re going to give it to them.”

Martin acknowledged that Democrats currently lack control of Congress but argued that their influence remains significant through other means.

“And guess what? We don’t have power in the Congress, that’s for sure. But we have the power of our voices. We have the power of our platforms to move public sentiment. And the public sentiment is moving our way. Yes, it’s slow. Yes, people still want to see more fight. I’m not going to ignore that,” Martin said.

Changing Names Won’t Fix MSNBC’s Reputation As A Left-Wing Propaganda Machine

MSNBC may be undergoing a major rebranding, but its role as a left-wing propaganda operation is here to stay.

On Monday, the network announced that it will be transitioning to “My Source News Opinion World,” or “MS NOW” later this year. The name change comes as part of the outlet’s move to Versant, a new media company separate from NBCUniversal and NBC News that is expected to include the Golf Channel, CNBC, GolfNow, and SportsEngine.

These changes demonstrate our focus on “building our individual identity and vision for the future while laying a foundation for the continued growth and success of our businesses,” Versant CEO Mark Lazarus reportedly wrote in memo to network staff.

While it may be getting a new name and paint job (that are already receiving mockery online), the outlet seemingly has no plans to abandon its role as a mouthpiece for the Democrat Party. MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler all but confirmed as much in an internal memo obtained by NBC News, in which she wrote, “While our name will be changing, who we are and what we do will not.”

“Our commitment to our work and our audiences will not waiver from what the brand promise has been for three decades,” Kutler wrote. The network additionally confirmed in its announcement that the “same familiar and trusted hosts and journalists who make sense of what is happening in Washington, across the country, and around the world will still be here.”

In other words, MS NOW will be no different than its soon-to-be predecessor when it comes to spewing endless amounts of propaganda on behalf of the outlet’s Democrat allies.

This is hardly a shock, especially when considering the doozies the network and its “talent” have put out over the years.

This past spring, for example, MSNBC took part in a media-wide campaign fomenting fears that President Trump’s tariffs would immediately “turbocharg[e]” inflation and destroy the economy. Like many of their ill-fated predictions, they turned out to be wrong.

Not long before that, NBCUniversal (MSNBC’s current parent company) was forced to settle a $30 million defamation lawsuit involving MSNBC’s “familiar and trusted” personnel. As The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman reported, several of the network’s hosts (namely, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, and Nicolle Wallace) “falsely accused a Georgia doctor of unnecessarily — and without authorization — performing hysterectomies on illegal immigrants in an ICE facility.”

PARTY OF THE PEOPLE: Obama and Other Democrat Elitists Holding Fundraiser for Redistricting Efforts on Posh Martha’s Vineyard

Former President Obama is holding a fundraiser for redistricting efforts along with ‘wingman’ Eric Holder, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The event is happening tomorrow, August 19th, and it’s happening on the ritzy Massachusetts island of Martha’s Vineyard.

What is it about Martha’s Vineyard and Democrats? They’re absolutely obsessed with it as a destination, except for illegal immigrants, of course.

The Hill reported on this a couple of weeks ago:

Obama leading Democratic redistricting fundraiser in Martha’s Vineyard

Former President Obama is set to appear at a Democratic redistricting group’s fundraiser next month in Martha’s Vineyard, as the party looks to go toe-to-toe with Republicans’ redistricting push in Texas.

Obama is named as a special guest on an invitation for an event hosted by former Attorney General Eric Holder, the chair of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), according to an invitation obtained by The Hill and first reported by Politico.

The invitation says the dinner and discussion will benefit the NDRC and affiliated groups on Aug. 19.

Democrats are pushing for blue states to consider redrawing their House maps to offset similar efforts taking place in Texas, where President Trump has said he’s looking to pick up five House seats.

How perfect is it that Democrats are doing this in Massachusetts, a state with zero Republican representation, despite the fact that more than a third of the state voted for Trump?
