Rob Reiner and wife Michele had throats slit in their bed: Gruesome murder timeline emerges amid details of son Nick’s motel room ‘full of blood’

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found in bed with their throats cut and may have been asleep when they were murdered, a source close to the investigation claimed to the Daily Mail.

The gruesome detail could help establish a timeline of the killings, for which the couple’s 32-year-old troubled son Nick has been arrested.

The Reiners died some time between Saturday evening – when Nick was seen acting erratically and arguing loudly with his parents at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party – and around 3.30pm on Sunday, when their daughter Romy called 911 after having discovered their bodies at the family’s Los Angeles mansion.

‘He could have done it not long after they all went home, meaning he went there and slit their throats in the middle of the night,’ the source claimed. ‘They were in bed when that happened.’

One report on Showbiz 411 suggests Michele, 70, was still alive when she was found and died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital after she had told first responders her son was the one who attacked them.

The Los Angeles Police Department has not officially confirmed any details of where in the house the Reiners’ bodies were found.

But the claim that his parents were found dead in their bed could suggest a small mercy in the tragic incident: that they may have been killed in their sleep.

MIT professor shot at his Massachusetts home dies

A Massachusetts university professor who was shot at his home has died, campus officials say.

Nuno F Gomes Loureiro, 47, a nuclear science and engineering professor from Portugal, was shot “multiple times” on Monday and died on Tuesday morning in hospital, according to Brookline police and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) officials.

Police said officers responded to a call for gunshots at an apartment at about 8:30pm local time. Loureiro was taken by ambulance to a Boston hospital, where he died on Tuesday morning.

No one is in custody and police are treating the incident as “an active and ongoing homicide investigation”, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office said.

CBS News, the BBC’s US media partner, reported that a neighbour said he heard “three loud bangs” Monday evening and thought somebody in the apartment building was kicking in a door.

Long-time resident Anne Greenwald told CBS that the professor had a young family and went to school nearby.

Loureiro majored in Physics at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon in 2000 and obtained a Phd in physics at Imperial College London in 2005, according to his faculty web page.

Loureiro was known for his research on the dynamics of plasma – the part of blood that carries platelets, red blood cells and white blood cells around the body. He was named director of MIT’s Plasma Science and Fusion Center in May.

He also studied how to harness clean “fusion power” to combat climate change, CBS said.

Bombshell House Oversight Report Accuses DC Police Chief of Rigging Crime Data – “Smith Coerced Staff to Report Artificially Low Crime Data and Cultivated a Culture of Fear to Achieve her Agenda”

The House Oversight Committee released a report on Sunday, detailing the committee’s investigation into DC Police Chief Pamela Smith’s manipulation of crime data.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer called for Pamela Smith to resign immediately in a statement, saying,

“Every single person who lives, works, or visits the District of Columbia deserves a safe city, yet it’s now clear the American people were deliberately kept in the dark about the true crime rates in our nation’s capital. Testimony from experienced and courageous MPD commanders has exposed the truth: Chief Pamela Smith coerced staff to report artificially low crime data and cultivated a culture of fear to achieve her agenda. Chief Smith’s decision to mislead the public by manipulating crime statistics is dangerous and undermines trust in both local leadership and law enforcement. Her planned resignation at the end of the month should not be seen as a voluntary choice, but as an inevitable consequence that should have occurred much earlier. Chief Smith should resign today. The House Oversight Committee is delivering on its responsibility to conduct robust oversight over D.C. and will continue its work to ensure crime data is accurately reported to the public.”

Smith had already announced plans to retire on December 31 just last week ahead of the release of this bombshell report.

The report, titled “Leadership Breakdown: How D.C.’s Police Chief Undermined Crime Data Accuracy,” follows a months-long investigation into whistleblower allegations that DC Police Chief Pamela Smith was intentionally fudging the crime statistics to make DC appear to have lowered homicide, burglary, carjacking, and other crime rates.

The report “reveals that Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Pamela A. Smith pressured and at times directed commanders to manipulate crime data in order to maintain the appearance of low crime in the nation’s capital,” according to a House Oversight Committee Press Release.

“The testimony from the commanders also describes an environment under Chief Smith marked by fear, intimidation, threats, and retaliation—conditions that contributed directly to declining morale and the loss of experienced officers and commanders.”

The committee conducted eight transcribed interviews with Metropolitan Police Department commanders, including suspended DC Police Commander Michael Pulliam, who was placed on paid leave in May due to accusations of manipulating crime data.

Infuriating: Illegal Alien Truck Driver Who Killed Loving Young Father in Deadly Crash in Washington State is Released from Jail

A reckless illegal alien truck driver who stole the life of a productive and loving U.S. citizen has received a get-out-of-jail card despite his horrific act.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, 25-year-old Kamalpreet Singh killed a 29-year-old father on the morning of December 11 after he crushed the victim’s vehicle between two trucks while driving northbound on SR 167. The victim was later identified as Robert B. Pearson of Bonney Lake.

Here is more on the incident from The Auburn Examiner:

Troopers said three vehicles were traveling in lane one when two of them stopped for traffic, and a third failed to slow in time.

According to the State Patrol, a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia semi driven by 25-year-old Kamalpreet Singh of Elk Grove, California struck the rear of a blue 2010 Mazda 3 sedan that had stopped behind a white 2016 Peterbilt truck. The Freightliner overrode the back of the Mazda and pushed it under the rear of the Peterbilt.

Troopers said the engine compartment of the Mazda caught fire after the impact, but the flames were quickly extinguished. The Freightliner and Mazda came to rest in the left lane and the Peterbilt on the right shoulder.

TGP notes that Singh likely obtained his CDL in California, since he resided there. He is facing a vehicular homicide charge.

Singh first illegally entered the US in Lukeville, Arizona, in December 2023 and was released by Biden’s border patrol.

Singh is not believed to have any relation to two other Indian illegal alien truck drivers with the same last name who are facing their own charges for killing people in crashes in CA (Jashanpreet Singh) and FL (Harjinder Singh).

ICE placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement in King County.

Now, a so-called judge has decided Singh poses no threat to the public and has been released from King County Correctional Facility.

His bond was set at $100,000.

TRULY WICKED: Obama Judge Lavishly PRAISES Illegal Alien Who R*ped and Sodomized Helpless Woman with Cerebral Palsy – Refuses to Add More Years to His Sentence

A wicked judge recently proved that the next step from toxic empathy is pure evil as the third branch of government continues to sabotage the Trump Administration.

The Detroit News reported on Friday that a violent illegal alien from Honduras who sexually assaulted a woman with cerebral palsy in a Michigan laundry room will be released from prison as early as July 2028, less than three tears from now thanks to a federal judge appointed by Barack Obama.

The illegal, 30-year-old handyman Edys Renan Membreño Díaz was previously caught sneaking into the U.S. at least seven times since 2019. He pleaded guilty in 2022 to sexually assaulting the woman and was sentenced by Judge Judith Levy in August 2024 to time served. She had the opportunity to serve two more years to his sentence but declined to do so.

But not only did Levy refuse to add more years to Diaz’s sentence, but she openly PRAISED him for being an “ambassador for living up to our immigration restrictions” and for his “family devotion and willingness to perform work that it claimed Americans find undesirable.”

Again, this evil monster R*PED and SODOMIZED a disabled woman! What could possibly possess Levy to utter such praise?

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on Saturday called the decision “unspeakable depravity” and “truly wicked.”

“Edys Renan Membreño Díaz, a criminal illegal from Honduras who illegally entered our country 7 times, was convicted of raping and sodomizing a woman who has cerebral palsy and cognitive delays,” she wrote. “He attacked her and dragged her into her apartment building’s laundry room.”

“He was sentenced 3 years ago and could be released from prison as early as July 2028,” she added. “But, the U.S. District Judge Judith Levy refused to sentence him to 2 more years for immigration crimes and called this monster a future “ambassador for living up to our immigration restrictions.”

“This Obama-appointed judge went on to praise him for “family devotion and willingness to perform work that it claimed Americans find undesirable. Truly wicked.”

Somali Immigrants Linked to Extremism, Gangs, and Criminal Activity

ICE announced that during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, launched on December 1, 2025, federal agents arrested multiple criminal illegal aliens described by the Department of Homeland Security as “the worst of the worst.”

Those arrested included individuals convicted of child sexual offenses, domestic abuse, gang-related crimes, and other repeat offenses who had been living in the community despite prior criminal records. DHS attributed their continued presence to sanctuary policies and local leadership decisions, stating that ICE intervened to enforce federal law and address public safety concerns.

Several of those arrested were illegal aliens from Somalia. According to the ICE press release, Abdulkadir Sharif Abdi was identified as a former Gangster Disciples member and a current member of the Vice Lord Nation. His convictions include fraud, receiving stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, vehicle theft, and multiple probation violations.

Sahal Osman Shidane, also from Somalia, was convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor between the ages of 13 and 15. Mukthar Mohamed Ali, another Somali national, was convicted of assault, fraud, robbery, and larceny.

Ahmed Mohamed Said, an illegal alien from Somalia, has multiple convictions, including two domestic violence offenses, three convictions for driving under the influence, assault, property damage, and probation violations. Feisal Mohamed-Omar, also from Somalia, was charged with two counts of domestic violence.

In a separate case, a 19-year-old Minnesota gang member, Ibrahim Ahmed Mohamud, also known as “Ibbs” or “30,” pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a machinegun. Mohamud is a member of the YSL (Young Slime Life) criminal street gang and was implicated in a February 24, 2024 drive-by shooting after mistaking the victim for a member of a rival gang affiliated with the Muddy group and the Somali Outlaws.

Cook County’s electronic monitoring system is putting people in danger. Fix it now.

When we learned that the man who allegedly set 26-year-old Bethany MaGee on fire on a Blue Line train last month not only had been arrested more than 70 times but was also out on electronic monitoring after assaulting a social worker at MacNeal Hospital — in spite of the Cook County state’s attorney’s request that he be held — we were alarmed. That man, Lawrence Reed, had violated his electronic monitoring terms multiple times prior to the attack.

Given the shocking, high-profile nature of this story, you might be tempted to believe it an anomaly.

It is not.

In June, Chicagoan Arturo De La Mora was sentenced to 52 years in prison for murdering his girlfriend while he was on electronic monitoring for a prior felony gun case, crime news site CWBChicago reported. In October, a Chicago man received 22 years in prison for carjacking a Facebook Marketplace seller at gunpoint while on electronic monitoring for an earlier case in which he allegedly tried to kill a Cook County sheriff’s deputy.

A little over a year ago, Lacramioara Beldie was stabbed to death in Portage Park by her estranged husband, Constantin Beldie, who was on electronic monitoring at the time. A wrongful-death suit filed this month alleges he had dozens of monitoring violations leading up to the killing without any meaningful intervention from the county or its monitor vendor.

These are but a few horrific examples of a disastrous system that must be fixed, and quickly.

We spoke Tuesday with Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke about this serious problem. Burke assured us that her office is committed to requesting pretrial detention whenever the public is at risk, and the data she shared encourages us that the state’s attorneys arguing these cases on the front end are doing their part to prevent more danger.

Her team touted an increase in pretrial detentions under her watch, noting that, for example, detentions for aggravated domestic battery cases had increased to 85% from 61% under her predecessor. For cases involving handguns converted to the equivalent of machine guns, Burke’s office requested detention in 97% of cases, with judges approving pretrial detention 76% of the time. Again, these numbers and the higher frequency of judges approving prosecutors’ requests for detention are encouraging. But the problem of past detention refusals that have left violent folks on the streets with inadequate guardrails — and the potential for more in the future — continues to plague us.

“Electronic monitoring needs a law enforcement component,” Burke added, addressing the need to be able to enforce electronic monitoring terms and restrictions when people don’t comply. She’s right. As the system exists today, there’s next to no accountability and no muscle at all to ensure compliance while people remain free ahead of their court dates. Burke described herself as “the skunk at the garden party” for questioning what happens when someone, say, cuts off their monitor ahead of trial.

We need answers to questions like that. The county cannot continue operating a system without clear protocols for violations, otherwise Chicagoans and visitors to our city aren’t safe. Thankfully, the new chief judge understands this and is taking action. On Dec. 2, Cook County’s new Chief Judge Charles Beach ordered an urgent review of the county’s electronic monitoring program.

Four times as many illegals in NY prisons than their share of population

New data shows that in the state of New York, a self-designated sanctuary state, illegal immigrants make up only 3.38% to 4.15% of the state’s population. Yet, when compared to the number of illegals who are incarcerated, they are overrepresented in prison and jail populations by a factor of roughly 3 to 4 times.

Furthermore, the Empire State has, according to the Department of Homeland Security, released 6,947 illegal immigrants since January 20 of this year, while still holding roughly 7,100 such individuals in its prisons and jails. These incarcerated illegal aliens account for approximately 14% of the total prison population of approximately 50,803, despite comprising only 3.20% to 3.38% of the state’s overall population of about 19.99 million.

DHS: “The worst of the worst”

This results in an overrepresentation factor quadruple their demographic share. The state also has an attitude of reluctance toward sharing immigration status and therefore, these estimates are conservative.

The released 6,947 illegal immigrants were convicted of severe offenses, including 29 homicides, 2,509 assaults, 199 burglaries, 305 robberies, 392 dangerous drug offenses, 300 weapons offenses, and 207 sexual predatory crimes.

Meanwhile, the current inmates with active ICE detainers include 148 convicted of homicide, 717 for assaults, 134 for burglaries, 106 for robberies, 235 for dangerous drugs, 152 for weapons offenses, and 260 for sexual predatory acts.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has characterized these individuals as encompassing “hundreds of murderers, hundreds of sexual predators, drug traffickers, the worst of the worst.”

Former State Trooper Sentenced To 7 Years In Child Sex Sting

A former New Jersey State Police trooper who prosecutors say committed a profound breach of public trust has been sentenced to seven years in state prison for attempting to arrange a sexual encounter with a child during an undercover operation last summer, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Friday.

33-year-old Shane H. Dempsey of Brick received the sentence Wednesday from Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Henry P. Butehorn. He must serve at least two years before becoming eligible for parole and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law. The sentence also subjects him to Parole Supervision for Life, mandates forfeiture of his public position and permanently bars him from public employment in New Jersey.

The case began when an undercover Prosecutor’s Office detective on the social media app Whisper was contacted by a user later identified as Dempsey. Authorities said Dempsey solicited sexually explicit images and discussed paying for a sexual act with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.

Dempsey was arrested after arriving for the arranged meeting in his police-issued vehicle.
