House Democrat Snagged a Bunch of Oracle Stock Just Before TikTok Deal Was Announced

President Donald Trump last week signed an executive order affirming technology giant Oracle would play a leading — and potentially lucrative — role in TikTok’s pending U.S. spinoff from Chinese company ByteDance.

Just days before that, a Democratic congressman from Louisiana was busy buying up shares of Oracle, according to a congressional financial disclosure reviewed by NOTUS.

Rep. Cleo Fields purchased between $80,000 and $200,000 worth of Oracle shares across three different trades — on Sept. 17, 18 and 23, the disclosure document indicates. (Lawmakers are only required to disclose the values of stock trades in broad ranges.) News of Oracle’s participation in the TikTok deal first broke on Sept. 22.

Fields is a member of the House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, which has jurisdiction over laws and government programs affecting financial markets and the securities industry. He also serves on the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, or STOCK Act, prohibits members of Congress from using nonpublic information to inform personal financial decisions.

It is unclear what Fields knew about Oracle’s participation in the TikTok deal — if he knew anything — or whether Fields initiated the Oracle stock purchases himself or had a financial adviser make the purchases on his behalf.

Fields’ congressional office acknowledged NOTUS’ requests for comment but did not otherwise respond.

In July, after Fields went on a June stock-purchasing spree worth between $3.56 million and $11.07 million, Fields’ office told OpenSecrets that the congressman “has complied with all rules outlined by the House of Representatives.” Fields represents a congressional district that stretches from Shreveport to Baton Rouge.

Conservatives, NDP want to know if Liberals ‘lied’ about Irish bands entry ban

The immigration minister faces growing opposition pressure to clarify if Irish hip-hop group Kneecap is banned from Canada, following a since-dismissed UK terrorism charge.

NDP MP Jenny Kwan, the party’s immigration critic, urged Immigration Minister Lena Diab on Thursday to confirm whether the group is banned, after officials repeatedly refused to answer for almost two weeks.

This follows Conservative demands for a clear explanation from Liberal MP Vince Gasparro, the parliamentary secretary for combating crime, who made the announcement but has not yet clarified his reasoning.

On September 19, Gasparro denied Kneecap member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh entry over legal troubles abroad. It’s unclear if the ban still stands.

The band states it has not received official notice of an entry ban or visa denial, according to media reports.

Minnesota DHS employee who went on Tesla vandalism spree still on state payroll

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary.

In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: “Dylan Adams is a current employee.”

As for whether Adams has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours, the agency offered little transparency. “No public data exists with respect to disciplinary action,” the spokesperson said.

Caught on tape

In April, the Minneapolis Police Department held a press conference and shared four video clips that had been obtained from the victims’ onboard surveillance cameras.

The videos showed a white male who in most of the cases had a dog with him while appearing to key or vandalize Teslas in downtown Minneapolis, and one at Target in Northeast Minneapolis. Chief Brian O’Hara said all the videos shown were believed to be the same suspect — Adams.

O’Hara said the incidents began on March 18 — the same day Gov. Tim Walz made headlines for quipping that watching Tesla stock drop gave him “a little boost during the day,” despite the state holding investments in the company. Walz even posted the clip to his personal X account, where it remains today.

Moriarty’s free pass

As Alpha News previously reported, Adams became the focus of public outrage in April when Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty placed him in a diversion program instead of filing charges.

Moriarty defended her decision, saying it would allow Adams to keep his job and pay restitution.

Chief O’Hara vented frustration over Moriarty’s decision. “Our investigators are always frustrated when the cases they poured their hearts into are declined,” he said at the time, adding that victims often feel the same way.

FBI Agent Fired For Refusing to Arrest and Perp Walk James Comey

An FBI Agent was fired for refusing to arrest and perp walk James Comey, according to Reuters.

Per Reuters: “An FBI agent was relieved of duty for declining to arrange a “perp walk” of the bureau’s former director, James Comey, in front of news media cameras after Comey was federally charged last month, four people briefed on the matter said on Friday.”

Comey will be arraigned on October 9. His case was assigned to US District Judge Michael Nachmanoff, a Biden appointee.

MSNBC also confirmed that the FBI agent was fired for refusing to perp walk Comey in front of news cameras after he was indicted.

CBS News reported that the FBI “is considering carrying out a “showy” arrest and perp walk” of Comey and “suspended an agent who refused to participate in the plan.”

Last week former James Comey was indicted on two counts by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia – false statements and obstruction of justice.

Unconstitutionally vague: IRS scheme used to attack conservative organizations struck down!

Under Barack Obama’s regime, the Internal Revenue Service was weaponized to delay and deny required governmental permissions for conservative charitable organizations that wanted to sound off on his re-election campaign, which he won, to operate.

They were grilled over their donors, their beliefs, their prayers and much more. Applications were lost and required a second submission. Free speech was under fire.

That treatment was unlike other groups that promoted a liberal agenda

Eventually, the IRS was forced to confess, and it even settled a number of lawsuits over its actions.

But now a federal court has ruled that one of the components that appeared in that agenda is unconstitutional.

A report at the Washington Examiner points to a ruling from Washington, D.C., judge Jia Cobb.

The court found that a test used by the IRS, involving “facts and circumstances,” was unconstitutionally vague.

The ruling said an organization called Freedom Path could not be rejected by the IRS for its requested tax standing because of the failing in the federal process.

But it continued the case, as neither side, Freedom Path nor the IRS, had suggested a standard that could be imposed.

The judge said the IRS violated constitutional protections by denying the tax-exempt status the organization requested.

“The ruling held that the agency’s ‘facts and circumstances’ framework, an 11-part analysis derived from a 2004 IRS revenue ruling, fails to survive the heightened scrutiny required when government rules implicate First Amendment speech rights,” the report said.

Freedom Path, founded in Texas in during 2011, when Obama remained in control of the IRS, sought tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(4). Years later, the IRS denied the request.

Elizabeth Warren Loses Her Mind When Journalist Notes That Democrats Actually Do Want Healthcare for Illegals on the Taxpayers’ Dime

Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts lost her cool on CBS News this week, when reporter Tony Dokoupil noted that Democrats actually do kinda want to provide healthcare to illegals, funded by taxpayers.

She got really angry but then pretty much confirmed what Tony Dokoupil was saying, while giving a long, confusing explanation.

You know what’s very telling in this ongoing debate? The anger and frustration of Democrats. It’s a tell that indicates that they are losing this argument and they know it. You see the same thing with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

You know what’s very telling in this ongoing debate? The anger and frustration of Democrats. It’s a tell that indicates that they are losing this argument and they know it. You see the same thing with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

Transcript via Curtis Houck on Twitter/X:

Dokoupil: “So, senator, you know, Republicans say what you’re really fighting for is taxpayer dollars for, as they put it, illegal aliens. I know that’s not strictly true but there is a provision –”

Warren: “Oh, excuse me not strictly true.”

Dokoupil: “It’s not directly true, but –”

Warren: “It is a flat-out lie. It is a flat-out lie.”

Dokoupil: “– the way that they frame it –”

Warren: “There is nothing in Medicaid, nothing in Medicare, that permits one undocumented immigrant to get one dollar of assistance. None.”

Dokoupil: “– Senator –”

Warren: “Zero.”

Dokoupil: “– if you let me finish the question –”

Warren: “Of course. I’m sorry.”

Dokoupil: “– sorry, in the Democratic counter offer the proposal for funding, there is a restoration of Medicaid benefits for certain noncitizens that had been taken away in the Big, Beautiful Bill as Republicans put it.”

Warren: “No!”

Dokoupil: “Republicans don’t think those people should be getting health care on the taxpayer dime. I’m not asking on the merits. Politically, putting that in there, exposes you to this talking point, this lie as you put it. Why put it in there? Why is it worth it?”

Warren: “No. What’s happened is that what we’re saying is that whenever hospitals give care, what is going to be the level of reimbursement? And the Republicans said it’s going to be a low level. The Democrats said we just want go back to the level it was before because you’re going to bankrupt hospitals. You’re going to put rural hospitals out of business. The Republicans and the Democrats’ plan, nothing changes the number of undocumented immigrants who still get care if they show up bleeding and unconscious at an emergency room. There is absolutely zero difference. The difference is whether or not hospitals who, under laws that date back to Ronald Reagan, may provide emergency care to anyone who’s unconscious, will actually get reimbursed at a very low level that will put the hospital ultimately out of business potentially or at a higher level. The Republicans – there is no change, no change in the number of undocumented migrants who get any help under what the Democrats want. Look, what we’re looking for is help for people who are going to get pushed out of nursing homes, help for people who are at home and relying on home health aides.”

FBI had three informants reporting Biden corruption in Ukraine, but no record of real investigation

The FBI had three separate confidential sources who reported the Biden family was engaged in corruption in Ukraine. However, FBI Director Kash Patel says that there is no record that the bureau sought to thoroughly investigate those claims.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., released two new FBI FD-1023s—records of reporting from the bureau’s confidential human sources—that focus on allegations of Biden family corruption.

These records match closely to a previous memo Grassley released in 2023 containing similar claims. The senator wants to get to the bottom of why the FBI apparently failed to fully investigate those claims.

“To date, the FBI has never answered Congress whether they investigated the text messages, audio files and financial records referenced in that 1023,” Grassley said in a hearing with Patel in September.

More Biden whistleblowers came forward about Ukraine/Biden

“Whistleblowers have provided my office with two additional FBI 1023 documents. These documents memorialize statements from FBI sources,” Grassley continued. “These two new 1023 documents are from separate FBI confidential human sources during different years.”

Grassley asked Patel directly at the hearing about how the FBI handled these three related allegations from human sources and whether the bureau made any effort to corroborate or obtain any of the records cited by those sources that could serve as proof of their claims.

“Regarding those records, did the Wray FBI make any effort to determine whether they existed? Did the Wray FBI make any effort to obtain those records?” Grassley asked.

“Not to my knowledge, Mr. Chairman,” Patel replied.

Both confidential human sources told the FBI about an alleged corruption scheme involving Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings and its founder Mykola Zlochevsky, who were under investigation by the Ukrainian government, the memos show.

Larry Ellison Vetted Marco Rubio for Fealty to Israel, Hacked Emails Reveal

Everything is coming together for Larry Ellison. The billionaire co-founder of tech giant Oracle, on-and-off-again the richest man in the world and a staunch supporter of Israel, is set to take a lead role in reshaping TikTok in the United States. His son, David Ellison, is moving to take over large swaths of the media, including CBS News, CNN, Warner Brothers, and Paramount, reportedly bringing in the Free Press’s Bari Weiss to shape editorial direction.

“The Ellison family is cornering the market on attention and data the same way the Vanderbilts did railroads and the Rockefellers did oil,” as Wired recently characterized it. How they plan to operate that monopoly is on course to be tested out in what President Donald Trump is calling “New Gaza,” the techno-dystopian free trade zone that is to be administered by a Board of Peace led by Trump and Ellison’s longtime political and business vehicle, Tony Blair. Ellison has given or pledged more than $350 million to the Tony Blair Institute, which Blair has used to advance Ellison’s vision of a marriage between government, corporate power, and tech surveillance. Oracle, by providing database infrastructure and cloud-computing services to other huge enterprises like FedEx and NVIDIA, has quietly become one of the most powerful companies in the world.

As the nation’s top diplomat, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also played a role in the TikTok talks that steered the company toward Ellison, after playing a lead role as a senator in demonizing the app; he was also closely involved in the rollout of Trump’s plan for Gaza’s future, which hands the enclave to Blair. Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner tasked the Blair Institute in the spring with coming up with a post-war plan for Gaza, which was recently completed, the Times of Israel reported.

That Rubio finds himself in such a central position is in part thanks to Ellison, who has been a major patron of the Cuban-American former senator from Florida. Ellison first vetted Rubio for his fealty toward Israel back in early 2015, according to previously unreported email correspondence reviewed by Drop Site. Rubio rose to prominence as a Tea Party-backed conservative Senate upstart in 2010, launching a presidential campaign in the 2016 cycle. As secretary of state, Rubio launched an unprecedented crackdown on speech, detaining and attempting to deport critics of Israel precisely for the crime of their criticism of Israel.

Dozens of victims discovered inside Tampa mansion linked to church forced labor scheme

According to newly released court documents, 57 people, including minors, were forced to live and work under harsh conditions, reportedly enduring food and sleep deprivation, threats, and physical abuse.

Despite their lavish setting, victims were discovered to have been made to sleep on floors, kept in a garage, or crammed into rooms with limited access to bathrooms.

The indictment alleges that Michelle Brannon and fellow Kingdom of God Global Church leader David Taylor manipulated followers into working 24-hour shifts in church call centers. The workers were not paid and pressured into relentlessly soliciting donations that generated about $50 million over the last decade.

What they’re saying

One former church employee described the environment as mentally and physically abusive, citing public humiliation and isolation from family and friends.

“I did see David Taylor get aggressive with the staff,” said Leslie Portillo, who lived at the church’s Detroit ministry for several months.

TEN MONTHS AFTER THE FIRES: Only TWO Reconstruction Permits Have Been Issued in Malibu, California

The wildfires that swept through southern California happened in January. That was ten months ago. Since then, in Malibu, which lost more than 700 structures in the fires, only two reconstruction permits have been issued. TWO.

What are the people who run California doing all day? How is this even possible?

We are reminded of the predictions by Adam Carolla after the fires. Pretty much everything he predicted is coming true.

Hot Air reports:

Malibu Lost 720 Structures in the Fire; 2 Building Permits Have Been Issued So Far

Remember the halcyon days of January 2025, when every politician representing the Los Angeles area, from city councilmen to the governor, promised to expedite permitting to help residents rebuild after the disastrous fires the Democrats created?

It was all bulls**t, and everybody knew it then, but of course, everybody in California’s Pravda pretended to take them seriously. After all, this is California, where the sun shines ever day and Gavin Newsom has a perpetual 10-year plan to end homelessness. Democrats are GOOD and Republicans are EVIL.

Well, as predicted by every sane person, the politicians have failed to follow through with their promised expediting of the permitting process. Of the 720 structures destroyed, only two have gotten permits to rebuild. One suspects that Newsom’s promise to rebuild the area better than ever actually means that he and the Democrats want to reshape it into their version of utopia.
