Satan Clubs Should Be Allowed in Schools

On March 31, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed suit against Pennsylvania’s Saucon Valley School District after it dismantled the “After School Satan Club,” an after-school program sponsored by the Satanic Temple with chapters across the country, allegeding the club failed to communicate that it was not formally sponsored by the district. The ACLU argues that the removal was actually motivated by the hundreds of angry messages the district received from local parents and the general public.

Saucon Valley is not the only American community bedeviled by Satan clubs. Similar clubs in Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, California, and New York have all generated controversy. The primary concern, as one Pennsylvania parent put it, is that “Satan is here to kill and destroy.” Other parents have asserted that the United States is “one nation under God” and that to deny Satan a place in public schools is therefore a necessary and prudent measure. The Napa Legal Institute’s Frank DeVito even used Satan clubs to justify restoring the pre-World War II tradition of blasphemy laws.

After School Satan Clubs (and most modern Satanists) do not literally worship Satan. Satan clubs espouse “free inquiry and rationalism,” and “[do] not believe in introducing religion into public schools and will only open a club if other religious groups are operating on campus.” The Satanic Temple openly rejects the supernatural, using Satan’s name and image for shock value.

But even if Satan Clubs were actually worshiping Satan, there’s little that can (or should) be done about them. A defense of American pluralism requires a defense of, or at least apathy toward, Satanism.

Another Federal Judge Rejects the DOJ’s Argument That Cannabis Consumers Have No Second Amendment Rights

A federal judge in Texas recently agreed with a federal judge in Oklahoma that the national ban on gun possession by cannabis consumers violates the Second Amendment. Kathleen Cardone, a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, also concluded that the federal ban on transferring firearms to an “unlawful user” of a “controlled substance,” first imposed by the Gun Control Act of 1968, is unconstitutional.

The case involves Paola Connelly, who was charged with illegal possession of firearms under 18 USC 922(g)(3) after El Paso police found marijuana and guns in her home while responding to a domestic disturbance in December 2021. Connelly, who said she used marijuana “to sleep at night and to help her with anxiety,” also was charged with violating 18 USC 922(d)(3) by transferring guns to her husband, a cocaine and psilocybin user. Both gun offenses are punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

As a preliminary matter, Cardone held that Connelly’s Second Amendment claims were not precluded by prior decisions in which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, which includes Texas, upheld Section 922(g)(3). Those decisions, she noted, preceded the Supreme Court’s June 2022 ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which said gun control laws must be “consistent with the Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”

FBI Sent Undercover Agents to Church Services to Investigate ‘Domestic Extremism’

On Monday, Jim Jordan subpoenaed FBI Director Christopher Wray for documents related to the FBI’s handling of a domestic violent extremism investigation against Catholic Americans.

Jordan, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said that the FBI used at least one undercover agent to produce their analysis and that FBI agents engaged in outreach programs to Catholic parishes. This included clergy as well as church leadership.

Jordan’s letter reports that the FBI document sought to categorize Catholic Americans based on theological distinctions, as an attempt to label certain kinds of Catholic Americans as domestic terrorists.

“We have repeatedly sought information from the FBI relating to a January 23, 2023 document… After receiving no response, we reiterated our outstanding requests in a subsequent letter dated March 20, 2023. On March 23, 2023, we received a substandard and partial response consisting of only 18 pages — many with significant redactions of ‘personally identifiable information’ or ‘specific non-public information about [FBI] investigations, sources, and methods’ that prevents the Committee from fully assessing the content and context of the documents and obtaining information requested from the Bureau,” wrote Jordan in the letter to Wray.

Ukraine Attempts to Blame Russia for Humiliating Pentagon Leak

The Pentagon announced it was trying to remove from the internet a major leak of secret documents which have exposed plans relating to Ukraine’s war on Russia. For his part, Elon Musk sarcastically highlighted the vain attempt, saying on Twitter: “Yeah, you can totally delete things from the Internet – that works perfectly and doesn’t draw attention to whatever you were trying to hide at all.”

The American billionaire derided on Twitter the Pentagon’s attempt to remove social media posts containing leaked classified documents relating to the conflict in Ukraine. The day before his tweet, the New York Times newspaper indicated that officials were not successful in removing the publications from the internet.

The leak was described to the News York Times by a senior intelligence official as “a nightmare for the Five Eyes,” the intelligence sharing apparatus between the Anglo countries – the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Some of the documents were found on Twitter and other sites on April 7, a day after US officials announced that they were investigating a potential leak of classified Ukrainian war plans. These war plans include an alarming assessment of Ukraine’s faltering air defence capabilities and notes that 12 brigades are being formed for Ukraine, including nine trained by the US and other NATO allies.

One of the leaks, dated February 23, is labelled “Secret/NoForn,” meaning it was not meant to be shared with foreign countries, and thus confirms the secrecy of the documents.

It is the belief of Mick Mulroy, a former senior Pentagon official, that the leak is “a significant breach in security” that could hamper Ukrainian military planning as it reportedly prepares for a spring offensive. “As many of these were pictures of documents, it appears that it was a deliberate leak done by someone that wished to damage the Ukraine, US, and NATO efforts,” he said.

The Kremlin said it had no doubts about the participation of the US or NATO, direct or indirect, in the conflict in Ukraine. None-the-less, the leaks would still provide a fascinating insight for decisionmakers in Moscow.

The New York Times reported that the leaks appear to be legitimate Defense Department documents. None-the-less, this did not stop Ukrainian officials from suggesting that the leak was only part of a Russian disinformation campaign aimed at influencing Ukraine’s possible spring offensive.

The Army Increasingly Allows Soldiers Charged With Violent Crimes to Leave the Military Rather Than Face Trial

Stationed at Army posts thousands of miles apart, two soldiers faced a flurry of criminal charges after they allegedly assaulted women within days of each other in early 2017.

One soldier was accused of physically assaulting his wife and firing a gun as she tried to flee their home near Fort Hood in Texas. Police later found a bullet hole in a window screen.

The other told investigators in Alaska that he’d had sex with a fellow soldier who he knew was drunk and incapable of providing consent. They later found DNA evidence of his semen on her shorts.

Military prosecutors deemed the cases strong enough to pursue them in court. But the Army instead kicked the soldiers out, allowing them to return to civilian life with scant public record of the accusations against them.

Portland Police Held Back Details Of Brutal Murder Because Suspect Is Trans

Police in Portland deliberately delayed releasing details surrounding the brutal murder of a cab driver on Easter Sunday because the suspect is a trans individual with a history of threatening behavior, according to a report by journalist Andy Ngo.

The driver was found by police stabbed to death on Sunday evening in the Buckman Neighborhood, with Radio City Cab confirming the victim was a long-time employee with an impeccable record.

Ngo says he investigated the case after finding it suspicious that barely any details about an apprehended suspect were provided in the press release.

It was only on Monday afternoon that the Portland Police Bureau identified the suspect as 30-year-old Moses Lopez, who was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Ngo details how Lopez was booked days before for threatening a different person with a weapon, but had been released without bail.

The journalist also notes how the individual’s was previously fired from working as a certified nursing assistant for allegedly engaging in abusive and threatening behavior towards co-workers.

Ngo says Portland police are still refusing to answer when asked if Lopez is trans.

The incident comes just a fortnight after the shooting in Nashville by a trans individual, with the person’s manifesto still being withheld from public release by authorities.

Nashville Shooting Has Been Erased From Memory Due To Inconvenient Narrative

Journalist Glenn Greenwald noted Monday that the Nashville shooting, which occurred less than three weeks ago, has already been “erased from memory” because it was perpetrated by a trans individual and represents an “inconvenient narrative”.

Appearing on SiriusXM with Megyn Kelly, Greenwald succinctly noted how Kamala Harris and others within the Biden administration have attempted to sweep the school shooting, in which three children lost their lives, under the rug.

“This Nashville shooting has been erased from memory even though it happened very recently because it’s such an inconvenient narrative given that the shooter was not just someone who was trans but very possibly acted on behalf of this radical ideology,” Greenwald told Kelly.

“And amazingly they won’t show us the manifesto even though we always see the manifesto when they can link it to the right,” greenwald continue, adding “We’ve retained counsel in Nashville to try to obtain that manifesto because it’s journalistically in the public interest.”

The journalist continued, “Kamala Harris goes there and pretends there are no victims because they want to forget about that shooting completely except to the extent they can exploit it for gun control issues.”

“So somehow a shooting by what appeared to be somebody motivated by at least in part radical theories of gender ideology and killed Christian children in the name of that ideology,” Greenwald continued, “Somehow that has been turned around so that whoever is concerned about that competent of the story is now back to being a 1960s Jim Crow racist.”

“Of course it wouldn’t work without the media’s cooperation, that’s how they frame everything in partnership with their partisan allies,” greenwald asserted.

He then tore into Harris specifically, noting “The Democratic Party is about nothing other than criminalizing dissent and protest. Everything she just said there is so cynical and so disingenuous. It’s hard to know where to start.”

Greenwald continued, “Let’s remember the only good moment of her ill-fated presidential campaign… was when she accused Joe Biden of being a racist because he had opposed bussing and desegregation of schools and she had that moment in that debate where she said ‘That little girl was me, Joe.’ Really strongly implying he was a racist.”

Segregation forever? Atlanta separates blacks from whites in ‘academic recovery’ summer program

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) took more than a year to open an investigation into allegedly intentional racial segregation in Atlanta Public Schools and purported retaliation against parents who complained.

The feds may soon face a similar complaint: keeping predominantly black and white elementary schools apart in a summer program intended to mitigate learning loss due to COVID-19 policies.

The nonprofit Committee for APS Progress asked district officials why majority-black Hope-Hill Elementary School in Atlanta would not be housed on the same site as “the rest of the cluster schools” in Midtown — majority-white Mary Lin, Morningside and Springdale — for this summer’s Academic Recovery Academy, a departure from last summer.

The program website confirms that HHES, which has far smaller enrollment than each of the other three, will continue meeting at its own site while the others will meet at Mary Lin. Only three APS elementary schools among 40 are being kept alone for the summer program.

The arrangement resembles a larger version of the race-based “affinity groups” that are popular in higher education but have prompted litigation when applied to K-12 students and municipal employees. OCR has received several complaints about affinity groups for faculty, according to anti-woke medical advocacy group Do No Harm.

The Power of Silence: How and Why You Should Never Talk to Police

The issue of police abuse and violence towards people for victimless crimes is one that cannot be ignored. The police state is growing, and with it, so is the amount of aggression and force used against citizens who have not committed any actual harm to others.

It is concerning that many police officers seem to prioritize their own interests over the safety and well-being of citizens. As a result, there have been numerous cases of police brutality and misconduct, including unnecessary use of force and even fatalities. This has further eroded trust between law enforcement and the communities they are supposed to serve.

Furthermore, the police have a financial incentive to make arrests and generate revenue for the state, often at the expense of the rights and dignity of individuals. Many officers engage in tactics such as fishing for information and coercing confessions from individuals who may not fully understand their rights or who feel intimidated by the authority of law enforcement.

It is important to hold law enforcement accountable for their actions and to demand reform that prioritizes the protection and rights of all citizens. This can include advocating for increased transparency and accountability, as well as pushing for changes in policing tactics and training that prioritize de-escalation and community engagement.

These issues are why it is so important to always assert your 5th Amendment right to remain silent during police interactions, especially given the fact that many police officers are not very good at their jobs and need the help and participation of citizens to do their job effectively. This is particularly evident in the fact that roughly 90% of all arrests are self-incriminated. If the police can legally charge you with information they have gathered without your help, then let them try, but most of the time they require your help to incriminate yourself. By simply not talking, you have a 90% less chance of going to jail. By invoking your right to remain silent, you can protect yourself from self-incrimination and others around you who might be with you; talking can also incriminate other people like passengers and even your friends.

Ultimately, the role of law enforcement should be to serve and protect communities. Unfortunately, that is not the reality, especially when considering that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that police have no specific obligation to protect individuals, as demonstrated in its 1989 decision in DeShaney v. Winnebago County Department of Social Services ruling. Instead, they often act as an oppressive force that intimidates and abuses citizens, particularly in cases involving victimless actions. By holding police accountable for their actions and advocating for reform, we can work towards creating a more just and equitable society for all.

Propaganda Fail: NordStream Cover Story Rapidly Crumbling

It should be obvious to any honest pundit by now: if you are one of the nominally same individuals who rightly suspected that the United States and its allies destroyed the Nord Stream pipelines – as promised by President Joe Biden himself, “once and for all” – then it’s time to stop being propagandized and compelled to perform mental gymnastics in order to convince yourself not to believe what you see and hear with your very own eyes and ears.

The game was as blatant as it was bombastic: to destroy key European energy infrastructure and then replace Russian gas with American LNG, making US vassal state Germany and the rest of the EU permanently dependent on over-priced and spotty US energy imports.

Now that the US government and mainstream media cover story is falling apart, it’s time to ask yourself and your cohort how long you’re prepared to entertain your own cognitive dissonance.

“Cockamamie yarns like the one involving the yacht suggest not nefarious cunning but simple incompetence.”
