France’s Fiscal Reckoning: Is The Eurozone’s Second Giant Next In Line?

France is caught in a debt spiral. Now the president of the French Court of Auditors is warning of the consequences of political inaction.

Pierre Moscovici has served as president of the French Court of Auditors for five years, overseeing regular audits of the nation’s public finances. From 2012 to 2014, he was France’s finance minister and then spent five years as EU Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs. The man knows his way around empty coffers.

On Wednesday, Moscovici called on Prime Minister François Bayrou to take urgent steps to consolidate public finances. France’s budgetary situation, he said, has spun out of control, especially in 2023 and 2024. If a turnaround is not achieved soon, the capital markets will force one. “We can still act voluntarily,” he warned the government, “but tomorrow, the markets may impose austerity.”

For Now, Calm in the Bond Markets

Once the dominoes start falling, it goes fast. Investors dump French government bonds en masse. Yields spike, prices plummet, and refinancing the country’s massive debt becomes even more costly. Already, interest payments consume 10.6% of France’s state budget—roughly the same as education spending. As debt levels rise, fiscal maneuvering space shrinks.

With sovereign debt at 114% of GDP, the trap could snap shut unexpectedly. For now, European officials still point fingers at the U.S., whose debt ratios are similar. But no one can say how long that deflection tactic will work. Credit risk materializes suddenly—usually without warning.

Feds seize $1M OC home at center of corruption scandal

The U.S. government has seized a home in unincorporated Tustin at the center of the corruption scheme involving former Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do. The home was purchased by Do’s daughter Rhiannon Do for a little more than $1 million in 2023.

The downpayment came from taxpayer money awarded to a nonprofit led by Rhiannon Do. That money was supposed to be used to feed needy seniors.

The backstory: Andrew Do was sentenced to five years in prison last month for accepting bribes disguised as payments to his two adult daughters, including the $385,000 downpayment for Rhiannon Do’s home in unincorporated Tustin.

The forfeited assets: As part of Do’s sentencing, Judge James V. Selna found that he had an interest in the Tustin home, another property, and $2.4 million in bank accounts. Selna ordered the immediate transfer of the assets to the federal government.

What happens now? Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, said the Tustin home would be “sold just like any other property,” and the money will be returned to Orange County.

Senate GOP focuses on law enforcement to stop Mexican cartels, Democrats blame U.S. gun industry

Senate Democrats and Republicans are taking a widely different view of the issue of Mexican cartels’ smuggling and gun violence and how to stop it – with Democrats appearing to continue to focus on the U.S. firearms industry while Republicans focus on investigative efforts and the dangers that cartel members pose to law enforcement and other Americans.

The largely disparate views were recently highlighted during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing titled “The Thin Blue Line Protecting America from the Cartels.”

“Today’s hearing focuses on the very real threat of Mexican drug cartels and the lengths law enforcement goes to defend Americans,” Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassly, the committee’s top Republican, said at the June hearing.

“These are the folks who enforce the law at great personal cost. As of late, they’ve been pelted with rocks, assaulted with homemade explosives … . And yet, they continue to hold the line against one of the greatest national security threats to America – Mexican drug cartels.”

Among the three federal law enforcement officials to testify at the June 17 hearing was the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Matthew Allen.

“In my 22 years-plus in the DEA … . I’ve experienced several instances of cartels and criminal organizations surveilling our people, both in Mexico and the United States,” said Allen the special agent in charge of the agency’s Los Angeles Field Division. “I’ve personally lost several friends on this job – two of them, very close friends of mine. It’s a dangerous job.”

Grassley also warned about the dangers of cartel members infiltrating the United States, citing the son-in-law of Ruben Oseguera Cervantes – known as “El Mencho” and the leader of Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion, a major drug-trafficking organization in Mexico – living in Southern California under a fake name until his arrest last year.

Prosecutors say the son-in-law, Cristian Fernando Gutierrez Ocho, faked his own death and fled to the U.S. to avoid Mexican authorities after kidnapping two members of the Mexican Navy in 2021. He is also accused of conspiring to import thousands of kilograms of methamphetamine and cocaine into the U.S.

Allen said agents working on a tip arrested him in a gated community, “just down the street from the chief of police.”

Grassley also hammered away at Democrats on the committee as they appeared to zero-in on U.S. gun dealers as a major factor in cartel violence.

“It was Democrats who threw open our southern border,” he argued.

Illegal border crossings surged during the previous Biden administration, with at least 7.2 million migrants purportedly encountered from January 2021 to January 2024.

Minnesota Lawmaker Killer Suspect Asks for Special Accommodations

The ambiance of his prison cell leaves something to be desired, alleged killer Vance Luther Boelter told a court on Thursday.

Boelter is accused of killing former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on June 14. He is also charged with having shot Minnesota State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, about 90 minutes before the second crime, according to Fox News.

The shooter was allegedly dressed as a police officer and drove a car that was made to look like a law enforcement vehicle.

During Thursday’s hearing, Judge Douglas Micko set bail for the suspect at $5 million, according to the St. Cloud Times.

Boelter said he could not make that high of an amount.

“I’m looking forward to court and I’m looking forward to the truth and facts of the 14th to come before you,” he said.

“I think Minnesotans want to know what’s going on,” he added.

That drew a response from U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson: “As I said a couple weeks ago, this isn’t just a murder case, it’s a political assassination.”

Since he appears to be going back to jail, Boelter asked for a cell where the lights are not on all 24 hours per day, according to Fox News.

Boelter also asked for a pencil with which to take notes.

Micko said the prisoner’s accommodations are up to the jail, not the court.

His attorney, public defender Manny Atwal, has said Boelter’s cell at the Sherburne County Jail was lit 24 hours a day because Boelter was on a suicide watch.

Boelter has complained that his cell smells of feces from another cell, causing him to lose sleep, according to Atwal.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott called the claim “offensive and disgusting.”

“He is not in a hotel,” Brott replied, according to The New York Times.

“He’s in a jail, where a person belongs when they commit the heinous crimes he is accused of committing,” he said.

Driving an Electric Car Is like Environmentalism

In Sweden there exists an electrified road for Electric Vehicles (EVs) to charge while driving, see Endnote [i].  The 2 km stretch of road is the world’s first of its kind, and an expansion of a further 3,000 km of electric road by 2045 is planned. It all sounds rather cool and futuristic, and I am reminded of a song lyric from the 1980s, the singer Eddie Grant sang “we’re gonna rock onto Electric Avenue”.

However, let us consider whether these expensive EVs are actually environmentally friendly or are yet mega-corporate marketing scam? This article demonstrates that the latter is the case.

The reality is that the misled environmentalists buying these cars are suckers for mega-corporate advertising, seemingly proud of their so-called low-carbon eco-cars. Apparently, unaware that the manufacture of millions of electric car batteries, requires huge mining operations to acquire and refine large quantities of rare earth metals, such as lithium, rhodium and cobalt; that these metals have to be mined out of the ground using machinery which is powered by carbon-emitting vehicles powered by diesel or petrol; and importantly, that the mining and refining processes can cause significant and extensive pollution to land, air and water systems, for example in rural China and Mongolia, see Endnote [i]. Unlike the fake climate agenda, these are real environmental problems.

Further to my recent article 1900 Scientists Say ‘Climate Change Not Caused By CO2’ – The Real Environment Movement Was Hijacked, and my book Climate CO2 Hoax, a ‘devastator’ can been described as a lie so big it devastates and bewilders. “Buy an electric car to save the planet” is one such devastating lie.

Below is a picture of a lithium leach field. This is what your EV batteries are made of. It is so neuro-toxic that a bird landing on this stuff dies in minutes. Take a guess what it does to your nervous system? Pat yourself on the back for saving the environment.

Barack Obama and Zohran Mamdani: From Stealth Socialism to Open Socialism

Barack Obama and Zohran Mamdani may represent different generations and political climates, but their ideological similarities are striking. Obama embraced a strategy of stealth socialism, while Mamdani champions open socialism. Understanding their trajectories reveals the transformation of American politics over the past two decades.

Those familiar with Barack Obama’s background recognize his ideological roots in radical socialism and Marxist thought. In my 2012 film Dreams from My Real Father, I presented evidence that Obama was radicalized and likely fathered by Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party USA member who raised Obama during his formative years in Hawaii.

When Obama emerged on the national stage in 2007, he masked his socialist ideology. Aware that open socialism would doom his presidential ambitions, he ran as a mainstream candidate.

Obama pledged to uphold the Constitution, supported traditional marriage, and claimed solidarity with Israel.

Yet, Obama’s true convictions would occasionally surface spontaneously, most notably when he spoke of “spreading the wealth around,” proposed a “civilian national security force,” and declared “we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America”.

Once in office, Obama threw his voters under to bus to pursue his socialist agenda that no one voted for.

Enter Zohran Mamdani, a result of a Democrat party political era shaped for years by Barack Obama. At the 2021 Young Democratic Socialists of America conference, he stated, “The purpose of this entire project is not simply to raise class consciousness, but to win socialism… and elect leaders who are unapologetic about our socialism.” Today, unlike Obama, Mamdani feels no need to conceal his socialist ideology.

Let’s look at the many parallels shared by Obama and Mamdani.

Insidious Australian Government in full PANIC MODE destroying all evidence of the Covid CLOT SHOTS including statistics, records and clinical data

The Australian Government is under intense scrutiny following revelations that it plans to destroy vital clinical data and biological samples from the publicly funded QoVAX study, which examined the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.

As reported by The Exposé, this move has sparked widespread concern over a potential cover-up, especially in light of the government’s broader pattern of avoiding accountability for vaccine-related harms. Critics argue that the destruction of such irreplaceable evidence would hinder scientific transparency and obstruct justice for those seeking answers.

  • Broken Promises and Legal Evasion: The Australian Government has failed to deliver on its promise to launch a Royal Commission into COVID-19 vaccine harms and has argued in court that it holds no duty of care toward individuals injured by the vaccines.
  • Suppression of Adverse Data: Authorities have neglected to fully investigate over 1,000 reported vaccine-linked deaths, including 35 on the day of injection, and altered statistical methods to obscure a rise in non-COVID excess deaths post-vaccine rollout.
  • Destruction of Critical Evidence: The government is moving to destroy biospecimens and archive data from the QoVAX study—an extensive, taxpayer-funded trial tracking vaccine safety in over 10,000 Queenslanders—despite legal warnings to preserve the materials.
  • Allegations of a Cover-Up: Critics argue that the decision to shut down and erase QoVAX findings amid growing global scrutiny of mRNA vaccine safety reflects a coordinated effort to conceal potential harms and avoid accountability.

‘MS-13 Clique’: Is ABC News for Real?

The mainstream media has often been out with some pretty outrageous takes, including and especially when it comes to President Donald Trump’s best issue, immigration. ABC News may have truly outdone themselves this week, though, with their framing of dangerous MS-13 gangs.

In an article about a violent MS-13 gang member leader, who was facing federal racketeering case involving eight murders, as well as a post shared over X about the article, ABC News used the term “MS-13 clique.”

“The leader of an MS-13 gang clique in the New York City suburbs is facing sentencing in a federal racketeering case involving eight murders, including the 2016 killings of two high school girls on Long Island,” read the article’s subheadline, with the post over X using similar language, adding how those murders “focused the nation’s attention on the violent gang.”

Australia Orders Search Engines to Enforce Digital ID Age Checks

Australia has moved to tighten control over the digital environment with the introduction of three new online safety codes, measures that raise pressing privacy and censorship concerns.

These codes, formalized on June 27 under the Online Safety Act, go beyond introducing digital ID checks for adult websites; they also place substantial obligations on tech companies, from search engines and internet service providers (ISPs) to hosting platforms.

Businesses that fail to comply face the threat of significant financial penalties, with fines reaching as high as 49.5 million Australian dollars, or about $32.5 million US.

The codes seek to restrict Australian users’ exposure to material classified under two categories: Class 1C and Class 2.

Class 1C encompasses “online pornography – material that describes or depicts specific fetish practices or fantasies.”

Class 2 covers a broader range of content, from “online pornography – other sexually explicit material that depicts actual (not simulated) sex between consenting adults” (Class 2A), to “online pornography – material which includes realistically simulated sexual activity between adults. Material which includes high-impact nudity” or “other high-impact material which includes high-impact sex, nudity, violence, drug use, language and themes. ‘Themes’ includes social Issues such as crime, suicide, drug and alcohol dependency, death, serious illness, family breakdown, and racism” (Class 2B).

Schedule 1 – Hosting Services Online Safety Code, companies that provide hosting services within Australia, including social media platforms and web hosts, are compelled to implement six compliance measures.

A core requirement obliges these services to manage the risks posed by significant changes to their platforms that could make Class 1C or Class 2 material more accessible to Australian children.

Schedule 2 – Internet Carriage Services Online Safety Code targets ISPs. It mandates the provision of filtering tools and safety guidance to users and empowers the eSafety Commissioner to order the blocking of material deemed to promote or depict abhorrent violent conduct.

The Commissioner has previously exercised similar powers, as in the directive to block footage of a stabbing circulated on X.

Schedule 3 – Internet Search Engine Services Online Safety Code directs search engine providers to roll out age verification for account creation within six months.

These platforms are also instructed to develop systems capable of detecting and filtering out online pornography and violent material by default, where technically feasible and practicable.

German MPs demand more money for Ukraine – Bild

A group of German lawmakers from the Green Party has called on Chancellor Friedrich Merz to urgently increase military aid to Ukraine, saying Berlin must contribute more in light of a slowdown in US arms deliveries, according to a letter obtained by Bild.

The letter, signed by Bundestag deputies Robin Wagener, Sara Nanni, Sebastian Schafer, and Anton Hofreiter, criticized the federal government’s recently announced increase in military assistance from €7.1 billion to €8.3 billion as insufficient.

The lawmakers pointed to the US decision to pause certain weapons shipments to Kiev as a critical factor, arguing that Berlin should raise the figure to at least €8.5 billion and commit to maintaining that level through 2029.

The Green MPs, who have been among Kiev’s most vocal supporters in the Bundestag, reportedly said the government still has room to maneuver within the approved budget framework, and argued that the constitutional limits on debt spending could be sidestepped through special exemptions.
