Illinois State Police Trooper Charged for Allegedly Possessing, Distributing Child Porn

A state police trooper in Deerfield, Illinois, is facing child pornography charges linked to the app known as Kik.

The suspect is identified as 38-year-old Illinois State Police Trooper Colin Gruenke, the Lake and McHenry County Scanner reported on Friday.

“A criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said an investigation began last year after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a report of the social networking platform Kik,” the article said.

Kik alerted authorities when it appeared someone was using a profile on the platform to upload and distribute files of child porn in September. Not long after the first tip was issued, Kik said another account was uploading and distributing files containing that form of material.

When those accounts were linked to the suspect and his home address, search warrants allowed officials to search the man and his residence.

“Agents conducted the search warrant for Gruenke at the Illinois State Police headquarters in Des Plaines on Wednesday and then conducted the warrant for the residence at his home shortly after,” the Scanner report said.

According to CBS News, the agents found evidence of deleted child porn on the cellphone he was holding at the time, and some of the images were reportedly of children whose ages were around four years old.

“Agents also executed a search warrant at his home, where they found a flash drive containing approximately 200 videos of child pornography, including numerous videos showing children being sexually abused by adults, including children as young as 10,” the CBS article read.

Gruenke, who was arrested Wednesday and placed on administrative leave without pay, is now the subject of an internal investigation by state police and is being held in custody.

Blue states plan new tax hikes on wealthy residents in response to Trump’s federal tax legislation

Blue states around the U.S. are planning tax hikes on wealthy residents to bring in additional revenue through a variety of proposals, including one state’s so-called “Taylor Swift tax.”

The moves come after the enactment of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) by President Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress, which permanently extended many of the 2017 tax cuts and included other new tax relief provisions as well as spending cuts to programs such as Medicaid.

Democrats argue these tax hike proposals are needed to help plug gaps in state budgets and offset any lost federal dollars for Medicaid and other programs.

The state of Rhode Island enacted a new tax this summer that will impose a special levy on vacation homes valued at $1 million or more, which has become known as the “Taylor Swift tax” due to the music star owning a home in an affluent part of Westerly, Rhode Island, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Rhode Island’s “Taylor Swift tax” imposes a tax of $2.50 for every $500 of assessed value above $1 million, which a Realtor.com analysis estimated would result in an additional $136,000 in property taxes on her luxury home in the Watch Hill neighborhood that’s valued at $17 million.

Montana wants to increase property taxes on non-primary residences, adopting a new reform that will reduce property tax rates for owner-occupied primary homes while hiking the rate to 1.9% for second homes or short-term rentals, with industrial properties also set to face higher levies.

Lawmakers want to provide not only a tax break to about 230,000 homeowners, but incentivize owners of vacation properties or second homes to sell those properties to inject more inventory into a tight real estate market, Realtor.com reported.

California County Board Bans Trans Athletes from Girls’ Sports

The Kern County Board of Education has passed a resolution to come into compliance with President Donald Trump’s Title IX rules. It will ban transgender athletes from girls’ sports in the Southern California county.

During Tuesday’s meeting, Trustee Lori Cisneros said, “Now, there be it resolved the Kern County Board of Education affirms it is for Title IX and calls on athletic governing bodies to uphold its protections by ensuring fairness in girls’ sports,” according to KBAK-TV.

The board oversees the education of about 400 students in county-run alternative education programs, but has no control over Kern’s other 46 districts.

But the board feels its resolution is a start that other districts should emulate.

“My message to the other school districts in Kern County is: Please follow our lead and protect girls. That’s the main purpose — to protect our students in girls’ sports,” trustee Lori Cisneros said, KERO-TV reported.

Still, some speakers at the meeting opposed the resolution.

One speaker exclaimed, “If the board truly cared about fairness, it would talk about equal funding for girls’ programs, better coaching resources, and ensuring all students have the equipment they need. Instead, this resolution targets one marginalized group while ignoring real inequities. That’s a double standard and a distraction from genuine solutions. Protecting women means protecting all women, including trans women.”

The Trump administration has been putting serious pressure on California to come into compliance with his Title IX changes that reversed the Biden administration’s wide expansion of policies to push the radical trans agenda.

Trump launches ‘Manhattan Project’ as one of America’s largest companies set to be nationalized

The Trump administration has launched their own ‘Manhattan Project’ amid reports one of America’s largest companies is set to be nationalized.

Intel, the largest chip fabricator in the US, has been in talks with Donald Trump over a potential government stake in the company.

While the percentage stake the government is asking for has not been made public, nationalizing a company is typically reserved for emergencies.

The government nationalized a number of banks after the 2008 financial crisis and key logistics companies during World War II.

It comes amid concerns that America relies too heavily on TSCM, a chip manufacturer in Taiwan. China has repeatedly threatened to invade the island nation.

If China were to invade, it would throttle America’s ability to compete in the booming chipmaking industry that is being driven by artificial intelligence.

While Intel’s AI chips are considered inferior to those designed by Nvidia and AMD, the company is unique in that it not only designs its chips but it manufactures them. Trump wants to protect America by onshoring chip manufacturing.

‘This feels like the Manhattan Project – or the run-up to World War II,’ MIT AI computer scientist Dave Blundin said. ‘It’s every bit as important as the space race was, as the nuclear arms race was. Actually, it’s more important.’

WoodMac Sounds Alarm On Transformer Shortage Amid AI Data Center Boom

The AI data center boom could soon face some serious headwinds, and the problem isn’t a shortage of Nvidia GPUs, but America’s fragile power grid.

A combination of disastrous green policies and soaring data center power demand has already sparked a power bill crisis across the Mid-Atlantic states, while a nationwide grid-tightening crisis unfolds. This has triggered a growing wave of discontent among residents in Maryland and New Jersey, who are angered by Democrats’ prioritization of green policies that have retired stable fossil fuel power generation in favor of unreliable solar and wind, resulting in power bill inflation like never seen before.

Making matters worse, AI data centers are counting on an upgraded grid to handle new base loads of power. This massive, multi-layered supply chain needed to upgrade the grid spans raw materials, transmission lines, circuit breakers, cables, control systems, and power generation systems.

Accused Minnesota Assassin Vance Boelter Calls Tim Walz as ‘Traitor to the American People,’ Claims Governor Pushed Chinese Influence and Government Control in Wild Rant

Vance Luther Boelter, the man accused of the targeted assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, has unleashed a wild tirade about Governor Tim Walz.

In a bombshell exclusive interview with the New York Post from behind bars, Boelter,57, branded Walz a “traitor to the American people” and accused him of cozying up to Communist China.

Boelter, currently incarcerated in the Sherburne County Jail, spoke to the New York Post via the facility’s internal messaging system.

The accused killer claimed he first met the governor when Walz “personally reappointed” him to Minnesota’s Workforce Development Council in 2019. He accused Walz of repeatedly praising China, quoting him as saying, “China was the future, China knows how to get things done, China knows how to control their people.”

Boelter further alleged Walz pushed socialist ideals, stating, “Tim would say stuff like everyone should be either working for the government, or be supported by the government.” He even claimed Walz encouraged him to visit China, promising, “He said they will make sure you have a really good time,” with such talks happening over the phone.

Walz has a long history with China. The governor first visited in 1989 as a recent college graduate through the WorldTeach program in Foshan, and later helped launch a student exchange program in Beijing in 1992. In a 1991 school lesson, Walz reportedly described China’s communist system as one where “everyone is the same, and everyone shares.”

According to Boelter, he carried a list that included Walz’s name that day, but he insists it wasn’t a “hit list.” Instead, he claims it named individuals “getting massive financial amounts from the Chinese government,” based on unspecified financial documents he’d seen.

The accused killer described his original plan as executing “four or five Citizen arrests” to interrogate the targets about alleged deaths from the COVID-19 vaccine and supposed government cover-ups, with everyone to be released safely the next morning.

“My goal was not to go around shooting people,” the accused killer told The Post.

‘This Is The UK In 2025’: Police Face Backlash After Failing To Arrest Asylum-Seeker Who Entered Elderly Woman’s Home

London’s Metropolitan Police has been accused of failing to protect the public after an asylum seeker housed at the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf entered an elderly woman’s home without permission — and was returned to the hotel without arrest.

The incident took place on Aug. 13, when police were called to Marsh Wall at 6:07 p.m. Officers claimed in a statement posted on social media that the man entered the property through an open door while “being followed by a group of men” in the street.

Police claim no intent could be proven, and the man was not arrested.

However, the response was markedly different toward protesters angry about the housing of asylum seekers in the area. Three demonstrators outside the migrant hotel, questioning why the man was not arrested, were themselves detained — including a 22-year-old woman facing multiple charges such as common assault on a security guard, possession of an offensive weapon, and affray. A Section 35 dispersal order was issued in the area, leading to the arrest of a 28-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman for breaching it.

DECLASSIFIED: FBI Was Investigating 19 Clinton Foundation Bank Accounts For Campaign Finance Fraud Before DOJ Shut Down Probe

A newly declassified FBI internal timeline reveals the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office was investigating 19 Clinton Foundation bank accounts for ‘campaign finance fraud’ in 2016 but the Justice Department shut down the probe.

Thanks to Judicial Watch, the American public was made aware of Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

Hillary Clinton conducted official business on a non-government server so she could hide her Clinton Foundation pay-to-play while she was head of the Department of State.

According to emails obtained by Judicial Watch, Hillary Clinton gave preferential treatment to Clinton Foundation donors while she was Secretary of State.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a smoking-gun email from Obama’s Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates explicitly ordered FBI agents to shut down a criminal corruption probe into the Clinton Foundation.

Then-Deputy AG Sally Yates directly instructed the FBI to ‘shut down’ the Clinton Foundation investigation, effectively granting the Clintons immunity from further scrutiny during the 2016 election cycle.

Salky Yates ordered investigators to “Shut it down!”

Girl Athlete Loses Medal for Refusing to Stand by ‘Trans’ Male on Podium

A star high school athlete found herself deprived of her medal after she refused to stand on a podium with a biological male athlete who, as she said, should not have been allowed to compete in the event.

Alexa Anderson, who at the time was a high school senior, went to the Oregon state track and field championships to compete, and found herself facing off against a biological male. When Anderson won a medal, she decided to use the award ceremony as an opportunity to make a respectful protest of the boy being allowed to compete against girls, and she refused to stand on the podium with the “transgender” athlete. Instead of listening to her concerns, authorities revoked Anderson’s medal.

Anderson, who was joined by another female athlete in refusing to stand on the podium, explained to Campus Reform, “That whole meet, I knew that I wanted to do something. I wanted to take a stand of some sort to show that I didn’t feel this was fair, and I felt that the best way to do that was to just take a step off the podium and acknowledge that this was not a fair competition environment for anybody.”

Eighth Study Confirms mRNA Shots Increase Infection Risk

A major Swiss study of 1,745 healthcare workers, published in Nature’s Communications Medicine, found that recent COVID-19 booster shots were linked to a significantly higher risk of illness and missed work compared to the unvaccinated.

The illness measured was Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) — sudden onset of fever (≥38°C or feeling feverish) plus at least one respiratory symptom (cough, sore throat, runny nose, loss of smell) within 7 days.

National surveillance showed that during the study period, ~21% of ILI cases were COVID-19, ~20% were influenza, and the rest were caused by other respiratory viruses — meaning boosters increase risk of infection from multiple different pathogens.

  • 3 doses: aIRR 1.56 (95% CI 1.22–2.03) — 56% higher risk of ILI vs. unvaccinated.
  • 4 doses: aIRR 1.70 (95% CI 1.27–2.28) — 70% higher risk.
  • More recent boosters: aIRR 1.32 (95% CI 1.07–1.62) — strongest effect soon after vaccination.

More Sick Days After Boosters

  • 3 doses: aIRR 1.49 (95% CI 1.08–2.01) — 49% more workdays lost.
  • 4 doses: aIRR 1.50 (95% CI 1.04–2.13) — 50% more workdays lost.

Robust Even After Adjusting for Confounders

  • Inverse probability weighting confirmed the association: recent boosters aIRR 1.26 (95% CI 1.12–1.43).
